Very helpful sales rep. Easy to get going and I was able to call over 10 times while just evaluating the software. Easy to order hardware and software Excellent support via phone with TeamViewer guidance

Pros

Their tech support is the best I've seen with knowledgeable technicians answering within at the most 3-4 minutes and always willing to use TeamViewer to provide contextual help on our own unique POS set up.

Cons

There is not doubt that KORONA can be modified in so many ways to meet most of any vertical market requirement. For that reason the set up screen have a lot of options but once you remove all those that will not apply to your business it becomes much easier to understand, configure and use.

I am 1 year into using Korona. It's been "ok". When I say I spent probably 100 hours on the phone last year, I truly mean it. Customer service was always willing to help, but every single time we knocked one problem out, another would arise. I think it's been about a month now that I haven't had to call, so we are improving. Doing payroll or a "time summary reports" takes at least 20-30 clicks to verify everyone's time is correct as you have to open each persons time tracking entries separately, if they miss a clock out, it will add their hours up until midnight. Printing labels from your POS is non existent, for a program built for retail, I don't understand that. In order to print a label from the back office, it takes 10 clicks and dragging around a laptop, a label printer and a scanner. If a price tag falls off, or a new item comes in, your employees can't just print a label. Searching products isn't easy either. If I'm looking up barefoot, I can't sort it by size. I also can't see the price without opening the product, so if I want to check and make sure that all Barefoot 750's are priced the same, I have to click on every single product to see it, instead of just looking at a list broken down by size and price. Same thing with checking margins.. there's no quick way to do it. If I want to look at what was sold last night- that's also not very efficient. You have to go to sales, click on receipts and then open up every receipt individually, a list of items sold with prices would be much better. Stock adjustments- also a million clicks. I can't just click on an item and change stock, you have to create a whole stock adjustment, add items, then save and book. This makes it easy to see all adjustments, but it's more time and more work. The POS terminal only lets you view the last 15 receipts. Why? If you need to look another one up, you've got to find the receipt number in the back office and then come back up and enter it in. Korona does not have a good age check system, it clears the screen, but shows you no info after you scan the ID, so you're just stuck thinking "I guess that worked?".. it also does not store the information you scan, so there is no way to verify whether employees are checking/scanning IDs. Customer service on nights and weekends is limited to 1 or 2 people, so if they get a doozy, you're sitting on hold for who knows how long during your busiest sales times. If I want to check sales on all of my Coors products, I can't just type in Coors and see which products sold or how many, you have to again open up every single product and run a product report. In the end, it does what I need it to do, but it doesn't do it quickly or efficiently. I would give it a 3 out 5 only because it's a quick running system and doesn't have a ton of errors. But if I could have a magic genie come in and set me up on a new system that ran more efficiently I would do it in a heartbeat... I just don't want to spend another year building a system, building inventory, pricing, costs, pack sizes and conversions... I've spent way too many hours on it, but I can't say I love it.

Pros

The POS terminal runs fairly quickly most of the time. Their customer service agents are knowledgeable and able to fix problems as they arise.

Cons

Last year I spent countless hours on the phone with Korona with an insane amount of problems, while in the end they were able to fix the issues, the amount of time it took was unacceptable.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, we truly appreciate your honesty and the time you put into writing this. Several of the workflows you described have solutions you may not be aware of yet. Your sizes are already imported as tags, making it easy to filter your product list and use the Set Prices function to view and edit pricing and margins across all matching products at once. No need to open each one. Brand tags can also be added for Coors-style searches. Our Volume report, and others, show exactly what sold, at what price, and in what quantity for any time frame with no receipt-clicking needed. The 15-receipt POS display limit can be expanded for your account upon request. The ID scan system is pass/fail by design. If the transaction advances, the ID passed. We can't do your feedback justice in this character limit, so we'll be following up with a detailed email. We're glad things have improved and look forward to helping you get even more out of the software. The KORONA Team

My overall experience with KORONA POS has been really positive. It’s one of those tools that just works the way you expect it to. From setup to daily use, it’s been smooth and reliable. The platform has helped us stay more organized, especially with inventory and sales tracking, and I genuinely feel like it’s added value to how we run our business. I also appreciate that whenever we’ve needed help or had questions, their support team was quick to respond and actually helpful and not just reading off a script. It’s made a noticeable difference in how efficiently we operate, and I’d definitely recommend it to other businesses looking for a solid POS system.

Pros

KORONA POS stands out for its intuitive interface and robust reporting tools, which make managing inventory and tracking sales incredibly efficient. The cloud-based system allows for real-time access from anywhere, and the customer support team is consistently responsive and helpful. Its scalability makes it a great fit for both small retailers and growing businesses.

Cons

While the system is highly functional, the initial setup can be a bit complex for users without prior POS experience. Additionally, some advanced customization options require technical assistance, which might slow down implementation for certain businesses. However, once configured, the system runs smoothly.

Very good experience with Korona. Any issues are quickly resolved. Customer service goes above and beyond usually.

Pros

It is very customizable. Easy to use. Great customer service. Any time I need Korona to accomplish something I cakk in and we get it done.

Cons

The look could use an update. It kind of reminds me of Nintendo games, the colors and overall look have an outdated vibe.

Through pre-sales, partner resources and onboarding, sales presentation to my client - All the way to importing products to end user resources, hardware installation, production support and technical support; Korona has been hand in hand, working for success. Working with with these on-shore professionals has been refreshing and profitable

Pros

Besides sales and onboarding resources as a partner, Korona support has been the finest I’ve had the pleasure of working with in my 25 year career as an independent IT service provider. All of the staff are friendly, available, resourceful, knowledgeable and capable. The continuity of support requests between staff is seamless. Follow through is spotless. It has made my client more successful and by extension my IT firm.

Cons

I’ve not yet found a weak spot. The greatest challenge I’ve had with the product is finding the simplest use of the product’s features. The depth of customization is so much more than I could ever need. In the upside, any capability I can think of is built in and ready for use as needed.

We switched over from an older POS to Korona almost 5 years ago. The system is great! Fast, efficient, customizable, and has great reporting tools as well! We use it everyday, with only minor issues here and there. A quick call to the support staff will always fix it, they are are very friendly and based in the USA!

Pros

Korona revolutionized how we did business in our Museum gift shop. The retail/inventory systems are top notch and far and away better than what we were using. The system is easy to use, and the support staff is super helpful.

Cons

The system software is originally from Germany, so there was a slight learning curve trying to figure out POS button sequences. It's the most efficient, but it takes some getting used to. There are also a lot of features, which is a plus, but they aren't all explained very well without multiple emails/calls with the support team.

We are still working on learning all the features available on this system, but having been in banking for over 23 years and working in IT for 7 of those years, I know without doubt this is the BEST system available on the market!

Pros

We have looked at approximately 4 other POS systems and Korona is by far, our favorite system. For the price, they offer many more features than any of the top three POS systems we reviewed.

Cons

Because of all its features, it takes more time to learn all the functions that are available to the user.

Price - It's not that we didn't like Lightspeed, but they have continued to raise prices without any reason for doing so. Korona is much more cost effective.

The people are honest and helpful while always being responsive and prompt. Unlike our last POS provider, they want our business to be enhanced by their product.

Pros

The people that work there are TERRIFIC. The system is almost fully customizable, and the equipment is solid.

Cons

It is complex, you have to be committed to getting the most out of the system. The terminology is German in English so there is a constant stop and think for the first few months. We are 5 months in and just getting routinely used to things like “price” means “cost” and “product code” means “UPC code” while “item code” means “product code”. In addition, the terminology changes inside of there system depending on what your doing. Makes it harder for terminology to stick .

Bevly was a train wreck. Automatic data feeds from suppliers had inaccurate product data. They would not allow us to turn the data feeds off. It was like swatting flies in a landfill. We finally had to just jump off the train. Incidentally, we are saving quite a lot of $$$$ with this switch.
