We have a fluctuating delivery schedule as we are florists. This quickly created routes for us on busy holidays and moved the orders and addresses over from Shopify is less than a minute. The bee-inspired theme is a charming touch! Pros I appreciate the ease of use! We found this software through the Shopify integration and it has been very pleasant and straightforward to use. As with any system there is a learning curve (putting flat numbers in the address doesn't work) again this is likely an issue with google not routific. combining tag 'types' and being able to pick differing start and end addresses allows for a flexible workforce, especially when working with volunteers who may be continuing onwards elsewhere. Pros Rapid, same day route creation allowing significant adjustments to be made right up to dispatch. Once appropriate headers are set very easy to plan multiple days ahead with some basic google sheet filtering, and flexibility to choose matching headers during upload. bolt-on pricing on text notifications being per-vehicle-per-month, not per customer, far easier to budget and maintain suitable information to customers. Cons some issues with pin mapping for certain addresses, uncertain as to whether this is a Routific specific issue or a general google-powered maps issue. only allows for one break period for driver profiles which can lead to some awkward time planning and forced gaps, and one time window for customers. No functionality to plan a cycling route - mapping reliant on roads only, understandable though it would be a massive boon if possible. We have currently switched to a bigger, more customizable platform. Pros It is a very basic platform that is easy to use. One feature that another routing app does not have is a dashboard of all dispatched routes which in turn allows you to dispatch a route before the first one is complete. We needed to deliver 10,300 items to over 1,000 locations in 2 days, using 44 teams - Routific made this possible. Each day, my team of 5 members begins their shifts from home, picking up 6 dogs each. They go on a 1.5-hour off-leash hike with these dogs, and drop them off back home after that, at the same time that they pick up another set of dogs for another 1.5-hour hike. Finally, they return the dogs and head back home themselves. This operation, involving all 5 team members, entails approximately 120 stops daily over 8 hours. It demands highly reliable software because efficient routing and accurate scheduling are crucial. This isn't just about preventing financial losses due to inefficiencies; it's also about providing clients with real-time ETA updates—a game-changer for customer satisfaction. We no longer receive constant calls from our almost 400 clients every few minutes asking about our arrival time. Instead, they're often waiting at their homes with their dogs, ready for the hike—resulting in happier clients, saved pickup time, and minimized distractions. Thanks to the flexibility of the system, I've managed to streamline the process by integrating pickup and drop-off times and adding 1.5-hour stops in the middle. Now, I export bookings from SimplyBook, make minor adjustments (like aligning SimplyBook and Routific times), and import them into Routific. The software then optimizes the entire route for our 5-person team, ensuring all dogs are efficiently transported to and from their designated locations and with the correct dog hiker. It's undoubtedly the best decision I've made, especially after struggling with other less effective software solutions. Ah, and the customer support is amazing. Pros Reliability of ETA sharing and CMS feature. Cons The driver can't change the route but this is not a big deal for me. It is simple to move things around as well which is important to us as our plans day to day have to change often. The extra savings goes to purchase food for client hampers. The customer profiles is a much needed asset to route optimization and time. We often get last moment additions and having the customer profiles ready and available at the drop of a hat improves efficiency, saving a lot of time from not having to enter all the data over and over again. We deal with over 100 stops daily and can have little or up to 5 additional stops to add in a day. The time management is huge. Pros Routific has been an essential tool for our food bank operations. It streamlines our pick ups and deliveries. It is reliable route planning and makes the coordination much easier at handling numerous daily stops. Cons It would be great to see even more capabilities available via the API — for example, optimizing routes or completing stops directly through our own tools. My drivers/walkers did not use the routific app. I generated paper maps using a different program. Having good routing really saved them time. Pros Ease of use. I was able to provide a csv files with my names, phone, email and addresses and the output retained that data for my next step. I needed to generate optimized routes for 20-40 drivers and 500 addresses. I was able to do this without having to trudge through a lot of other features that I didn't need. The routes were generated quickly, and were very drivable. For output I used the spreadsheet that shows all routes and all stops per route. This was perfect for me because the drivers didn't want to get routes over their phones via a dedicated app or a list of hot links to feed into Google Maps. It was easy to go into Settings and customize my optimization criteria. The Routific staff that I corresponded with were extremely friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience a real pleasure Cons I wish I could have gotten the "solution" spreadsheet with a separate tab for each driver (in addition to the main overall tab that I already got), plus a simple pdf of stop addresses for each driver. I wish the free trial allowed more than 20 drivers, although I understand that Routific would have raised the limit for me if I had really pressed. I have tried and demo's every routing tool out there and none come close to Routific with ease of use and simplicity. Cons Customer notifications - I wish the platform could customize notifications per each customer. Meaning, unless you delivery for one customer only; you can't add in their name or other customers will get that alert with another company's name. It would be great to have customized alerts. Each dispatch, we need to manage 100+ delivery recipients as well as dozens of drivers. Planning the delivery routes manually would be challenging, but thanks to Routific we are able to create efficient routes very quickly. Inputting driver and stop information is quite simple, as it can import from spreadsheets. In addition, we have used the API features to integrate Routific with our internal spreadsheets and automate our dispatch process even further. Routific also automatically validates address data and highlights possible errors, which is very helpful as our data can be quite messy at times. The driver app is also easy to use, and we have received positive feedback from our drivers. The integration with mapping apps helps them navigate their routes, and we are also able to track their delivery success and performance afterwards to identify any areas for improvement. Routific helps us to be efficient, organized and also productive. Pros Very user friendly. Extremely capable system. I was so impressed with the system the first time we used it a few years back to deliver our Christmas gifts. It is by far the best planning, optimizing and dispatch system I have used/tried. It is fast, it requires not too much knowledge of the dispatching world. Cons As with any system, there is a learning curve, but when you have thousands of adresses to deliver, you need to put parameters. Routific has lots of parameters and allows us to schedule properly, set an amount of items per drivers, set a speed per drivers etc... It is a lot to configure at first. May 8, 2018 5.0 Pros Our church has a large scale fundraiser two to three times per year where we make and distribute approx 1000 chicken salad lunches across our community (~25 mile radius). All deliveries must be completed in about 2.5-3 hours and everyone participating is a volunteer (no previous professional delivery experience). Traditionally we were having problems getting enough volunteers to manage the delivery due to inefficiency in travel, lack of knowledgeable directions to delivery sites, frustration faced when deliveries were not made in timely fashion. I decided we had to make a change if we wanted to continue our fundraiser. I chose Routific because of its integration with turn by turn directions, its stellar routing algorithm, the ability to publish route to phone with navigation, and ease of managing routing/driver assignments. I absolutely could not be more impressed with the way Routific allowed me to send drivers out with easy to understand routes that made sense to them and easily allowed us to deliver meals at the proper time. Every driver returned with nothing but positive comments from the experience and promised to serve as delivery driver again next time! As the coordinator and admin of the project (with no routing or delivery experience) the software was quite intuitive and easy to use. The online help docs are top notch. Use of the software was very simple to learn and implement. Thank you Routific for developing a solution that fits so well for our needs!! Cons Really have nothing negative about the software at all to share. It is expensive for our situation where we have two to three one day events per year but have 10 or more drivers on those three days. July 7, 2017 5.0 Pros The many things I love about this program include the fact that I am able to see approximately where my drivers are and know when they will make it to their next stop. I also love the signature capture feature included in the program. It helps me to prove who signed for the delivery. Being able to route many drivers at a time and not have them overlap is truly an asset. The customer service that this company provides is excellent! When I have an issue they are on it immediately. I love that my representative knows who I am and wants to deal with me. I would appreciate a photo capture feature enabled into the program to prove when something has to be left on a porch, but I feel it will be rolled out eventually. Cons I would say the only thing that I would like to change about this program is the cost. When I first started I felt the value for the money was great, but since the new features have been added I feel it is just a little out of the good value price range. Pros The ability to change which driver was taking each delivery. We make changes right up until the trucks are leaving based on weight, traffic, backorders, etc. so being able to drag and drop stops from one driver to another allows us to balance the routes. Cons We are looking for a system that also GPS tracks the drivers so we can confirm that they have completed the stops, along with e-signatures for our deliveries. April 29, 2020 5.0 Pros During the coronavirus crisis my Organization started building a network of volunteers to deliver groceries and medications to 1500+ members which are above 65 years old of our local community. With routific we found the perfect solution to our routing needs, its ease of use and modern design made planning all the stops easy, and to top it all off our volunteers can click which stops they have completed allowing us to see where they are. One of the best features is the SMS notifications allowing us to give our customers a time-window of when they can expect a delivery to occur, this helped us to stay in touch with them and get feedback easily. All in all after having gone through multiple trials of other softwares before routific I can really recommend this as a routing software. Cons Currently the routing is only for cars, it would be cool to be able to change the route optimization for cargo-bicycles for example. Everything else works perfectly! Routific has graciously granted us access to their software allowing our volunteer drivers to deliver packages to each of our 300+ members. As the person creating the routings I found Routific an easy to use product. I was about to import both member and driver lists from an EXCEL spreadsheet saving hours of time over manually entering data. Each driver was provided an efficient route from a central starting point ending up at their own home. Speaking with the drivers, I was informed that the routings provided to them made for an easy drive. Owner/Head Baker Food Production Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Delivering in times of Pandemic " April 17, 2020 5.0 Great, we've always done limited home delivery of our sourdough, but with the COVID19 lock down, demand for home delivery has sky-rocketed, and I needed a system that was quick to set up and would save me time overall. I've been really happy with Routific, it was easy to create a CSV export from my ordering system that fed straight into the app. Pros Best features are the easy import from a CSV, and the fact that it remembers your data mapping for future imports. And the customer notification feature is great, it means I don't have to deal with calls. Also, the predicted delivery times are incredibly accurate. Cons I haven't found a way to say deliver to location A before delivering to location B, say if we have to pick up stock from one supplier, before delivering to another customer. I can do it manually though.
