We have a fluctuating delivery schedule as we are florists. This quickly created routes for us on busy holidays and moved the orders and addresses over from Shopify is less than a minute. The bee-inspired theme is a charming touch! Pros I appreciate the ease of use! We found this software through the Shopify integration and it has been very pleasant and straightforward to use. November 18, 2024 5.0 The bulk of our usage is delivering identical meal-packs, which makes a combination of numeric load and text notes for any dietary requirements perfect for our needs. As with any system there is a learning curve (putting flat numbers in the address doesn't work) again this is likely an issue with google not routific. combining tag 'types' and being able to pick differing start and end addresses allows for a flexible workforce, especially when working with volunteers who may be continuing onwards elsewhere. Pros Rapid, same day route creation allowing significant adjustments to be made right up to dispatch. Once appropriate headers are set very easy to plan multiple days ahead with some basic google sheet filtering, and flexibility to choose matching headers during upload. bolt-on pricing on text notifications being per-vehicle-per-month, not per customer, far easier to budget and maintain suitable information to customers. Cons some issues with pin mapping for certain addresses, uncertain as to whether this is a Routific specific issue or a general google-powered maps issue. only allows for one break period for driver profiles which can lead to some awkward time planning and forced gaps, and one time window for customers. No functionality to plan a cycling route - mapping reliant on roads only, understandable though it would be a massive boon if possible. We have currently switched to a bigger, more customizable platform. Pros It is a very basic platform that is easy to use. One feature that another routing app does not have is a dashboard of all dispatched routes which in turn allows you to dispatch a route before the first one is complete. Each day, my team of 5 members begins their shifts from home, picking up 6 dogs each. They go on a 1.5-hour off-leash hike with these dogs, and drop them off back home after that, at the same time that they pick up another set of dogs for another 1.5-hour hike. Finally, they return the dogs and head back home themselves. This operation, involving all 5 team members, entails approximately 120 stops daily over 8 hours. It demands highly reliable software because efficient routing and accurate scheduling are crucial. This isn't just about preventing financial losses due to inefficiencies; it's also about providing clients with real-time ETA updates—a game-changer for customer satisfaction. We no longer receive constant calls from our almost 400 clients every few minutes asking about our arrival time. Instead, they're often waiting at their homes with their dogs, ready for the hike—resulting in happier clients, saved pickup time, and minimized distractions. Thanks to the flexibility of the system, I've managed to streamline the process by integrating pickup and drop-off times and adding 1.5-hour stops in the middle. Now, I export bookings from SimplyBook, make minor adjustments (like aligning SimplyBook and Routific times), and import them into Routific. The software then optimizes the entire route for our 5-person team, ensuring all dogs are efficiently transported to and from their designated locations and with the correct dog hiker. It's undoubtedly the best decision I've made, especially after struggling with other less effective software solutions. Ah, and the customer support is amazing. November 8, 2023 5.0 Has been a godsend since choosing this platform to roll out across my Despatch Department. It has taken what I used to spend one day doing and turned it into a 5 minute task. My business has also enjoyed the fact that they can now see every order out for delivery on a specific day, where as previously, they would have to call me and I would call a driver and then relay that information back to them. Customer notifications has also been a godsend. I now only have to deal with one or two calls per day, where I would previously spend approximately half a day talking to customers. We often get last moment additions and having the customer profiles ready and available at the drop of a hat improves efficiency, saving a lot of time from not having to enter all the data over and over again. We deal with over 100 stops daily and can have little or up to 5 additional stops to add in a day. The time management is huge. Pros Routific has been an essential tool for our food bank operations. It streamlines our pick ups and deliveries. It is reliable route planning and makes the coordination much easier at handling numerous daily stops. We needed to deliver 10,300 items to over 1,000 locations in 2 days, using 44 teams - Routific made this possible. Cons Sometimes the routes were not optimized, ie. 2 orders to the same location could end up being delivered by different people on a different day. My drivers/walkers did not use the routific app. I generated paper maps using a different program. Having good routing really saved them time. Pros Ease of use. I was able to provide a csv files with my names, phone, email and addresses and the output retained that data for my next step. There are always some glitches with software, and Routific is not exempt from this, but they are always improving and always willing to listen to feedback to make the experience the best it can be. Pros I liked the fact that I was not trying to figure out how to route our drivers on my own. The system works well almost 100% of the time, with very little down time and the routes it produces are efficient and streamlined for our drivers. The notification system is a must for our customers and while it works well, it would be nice if it was a bit more accurate. There are always parts of software programs that could always be improved but overall this is a great program and we would be lost without it. The customer service is amazing! Cons I wish we had more options for personalization for more of our needs. For example, being able to send notifications both through email and SMS and not just one or the other. Also, it would be helpful to be able to schedule dispatching routes so that the delivery emails go out on the day of delivery instead of when they are dispatched. Having the ability to use both the apps for our drivers instead of just one or the other would be very helpful. Being able to schedule routes and drivers across multiple days would be a game changer. A big issue is the Google maps that the directions are given in. Google maps is terrible and will send our drivers to the wrong location many times each week. If they aren't paying attention to the town they end up driving over an hour out of their way, which is causes us to lose customers and money. Co-Chair Events Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Not Fake News: This App is Truly Great" January 26, 2021 5.0 There are a lot of disappointing apps out there in the Shopify app store and often the weaknesses are not immediately apparent, so only after trial and error and heartache does one realize the app does not meet expectations. It is incredibly refreshing to use an app that met and exceeded expectations. Pros With just a little figuring we were able to use Routific with great results. Easy to create driver profiles, easy to set up with orders from Shopify, easy for drivers to use.  We are a first time e-commerce site and plunged directly into making about 25 daily local deliveries in an area that spans 75 miles. All our drivers are volunteers so they had no special experience making deliveries, and I had no experience making routes. With Routific, it was so easy to select the orders in Shopify and in minutes have an optimal route. The app is browser based which the drivers really appreciated, they didn't want yet another app on their phones, and it meant there were almost no instructions I had to communicate to them. They got a text, they opened the program on the browser, and off they went. When each delivery was finished, the app checked it off and sent them to the next address. Soooo user-friendly! Cons It wasn't immediately obvious how to find on the dashboard the routes already created, but perhaps this was lack of familiarity as I did figure it out after a while. Reason for choosing Routific Did not allow us to select any order in Shopify, we could only add to the route order which had "local delivery" selected for the shipping option. I really like the live tracking, when customer call and ask when they will get there order I can easily check the system and give the customer a realistic time frame. Cons It would be great if you could have an admin app for phones. when customers call me about there order i have to always go to a PC login in open the program then fine the route etc. if it was an admin phone app that can see the live routes it would be very helpful for people on the go. As a small/medium business who has just started online sales you have to subscribed to many applications. you need to pay for online store, integration apps (zapier), Mailchimp and now for delivery a routific. when you compare routific to the other apps on the chain i spend more money on it and get the lower level (less premium version) where on my other apps i pay less but i am on higher tiers. We needed an intuitive, plug and play solution for managing several drivers at the same time and Routific saved the day. Customer service has also been excellent and willing to work with us. It's pricey but worth every penny. Pros We had to pivot quickly from doing farmers markets to making deliveries after coronavirus hit. Routific ended up being a perfect solution for us, helping us manage 5 drivers and 150 deliveries all delivering on the same day. Getting set up was super intuitive and quick, and we were operationalized within an hour of creating an account. The routing algorithm isn't very customizable, but it's very easy to drag and drop stops from one driver to another, or to shift the stops around. Driver experience was very smooth as well. Cons Team at Routific is still adding features, so this will likely be outdated soon after writing (April 3, 2020). The interaction between the software and native map apps on the phone could use a little work. Also as mentioned, the routing algorithm is set up to basically only give out an even number of stops to each driver, regardless of length of route. It's easy enough to fix and we can ship a full manifest, exactly how we want it, with 15 minutes of work after uploading the stops. Review Source AL Andy L. It helps us a lot with our daily runs. It's a really easy and great tool to have. Customer service is amazing. They are really committed to this product and to their customers. Cons There are a few things that are still missing. For example, switching an order from one date to another would be extremely helpful as some customers are not available on some dates. Also being able to select more than 1 order to unschedule it. I like to make my own runs but Routific routes them on its own and I have to unschedule them 1 by 1.
