And knowing which person has what asset is a great feeling, although establishing those fields for the first time was incredibly painful. Pros I'm impressed that Asset Panda didn't fail on us while uploading all of our inventory (that made me happy). Also I've had few crashes with this app as well. While scanning QR tags may be somewhat an issue as the tag can use my phone's built-in camera. That being said I feel like I just care about tracking these appliance. Cons Everytime you go down to the basement storage, we experience connection issues. We have to take numerous photos of the same item of equipment (this drives me nuts), and if a technician drops the tag and dirties it, then the camera will no longer read it, and therefore the passive GPS will never update and you're essentially blind. We no longer lose the expensive laptops that go out on the field which is a huge relief. I can now see at a glance which employees have possession of the projectors as opposed to having to send 10 e-mails to non-responsive individuals. It tracks all maintenance records in one place; therefore the trucks will not break down on the side of the road during a job. Pros The dashboard is fairly well organized. I do not get headaches trying to find the checkout button and I am also impressed that the custom fields function with our unique lab equipment (without crashing). The asset panda software manages the multiple accounts for our company's various branches across three states. Good enough. I like the fact that the mobile app will scan the barcodes (even when I am in a rush) and the warehouse lighting is flickering. I am happy that the api did not take down the entire server when we added it. Cons The search bar in asset panda is almost completely useless unless you know exactly what the name of the cable is that you are searching for and will not provide related searches. My largest complaint is that previous reservations stay in the system indefinitely and you have to individually select delete each time which is an absolute nightmare. It continues to grow as a tool for our company and have been pleasantly surprised at the capabilities and support Asset Panda has exhibited. Pros Being a small/mid-sized business we have struggled to keep track of fixed assets along with operational assets. We have been unable to accumulate data and with Asset Panda's help it provided an affordable platform to begin transitioning to a more modernized and sophisticated way of management. We use it not only for hardware/software asset tracking/management, but also for warranty management, shipping logistics, and employee on-/off-boarding management. We have automated notifications and reporting to help us take action when needed or simply provide a custom snapshot of anything we want. Pros I like the ease of use and the myriad of customization options. The reports (once properly configured) are extremely useful in getting a quick overview of the various tracked components. I also like the notifications that can be created for literally anything. Finally, the Work Order option is great for managing shipment logistics. Cons Some of the menus seem counter-intuitive and require more clicks than necessary, in my opinion. I miss the 'Save and Exit' option on some of the screens that used to have it. Also, the Work Order flow/actions took a while to get configured correctly. I wish some of it would be more intuitive. Perhaps some wizard style setup option with some basic workflow scenarios could be added which could be further customized by the user? I know we don't use all the features we could from this platform so I know there is room to grow with it as well. Pros We have found a few very impactful features of this software. First, the flexibility of customization. When we realize we need to track some new data point or change how we deploy equipment, we can do so on the fly. Second, the mobile app. Having a optimized mobile app that our techs can access on their phone instead of getting out their laptop to log into a site is immensely helpful. Third, "automated" changes that can be done by using the "Actions" feature. I can have a couple quick input points and at the touch of a "save" button, numerous fields and data points can be updated. This is so efficient rather than changing these fields manually Cons A couple things that would be nice to have changed.... We have found the need to have a field that can be added to rather than only over-written during an "Action". Basically a running history of input points (Ex. every user that has been assigned to a device). Running a history report isn't always convenient and applicable to all potential users. Also while chat support is great when you need help, but I'd really like someone to speak with directly sometimes. Conveying your issue over chat is sometimes very clunky and time consuming. Pros The integration with GSuite and overall usability has allowed us to take some jobs that required highly trained and high security positions and deploy them to temps and aides in a secure fashion which has GREATLY allowed us to handle something that was less than visible or well maintained before. Cons Its a bit buggy and laggy. The setup and configuration is also extremely confusing. Theres just to many ways to get what you want and failure to perform some actions in the right order will result in incorrect data. Pros Reserving, checking in/out of vehicles and assets. As long as our staff remembers to use these features it's a good way to know what is available and what is not and keeping track of them. For most people it would probably be an easy software to learn, but I am not computer saavy so it was challenging for me, however I understand the basics which works fine. Cons I think there should be some default settings so that the set up/transition is easier. Being able to speak to a live person on the spot for help is sometimes more helpful that online chat.
