Pros The mobile app for us is the best feature to be able to enter, lookup or edit the inventory on the fly from any mobile device is great! Cons The bulk import feature is very cumbersome and not forgiving with spreadsheet errors or missing pre created fields. It would be nice if the bulk spreadsheet import could add wanted fields into the system like from the app or web interface. I like that if you want to add a field it can be done on the manual entry of an inventory item unlike the bulk upload. Pros We chose AP due to its overall functionality, ease of use and the fact that we could customize it to our needs. Our implementation specialist was great. She was most helpful when setting up the flow as we needed. Cons Most of our issues have pertained to requirements by IT security within our organization. Development of some specific reporting options with regards to user logins, ability to report when items are archived and allowing for user to set parameters before asset is archived would be helpful. Another benefit for all would be to barcode the actions so the process is completely keyboard free. Pros When we first thought about the idea of changing our asset management and tracking software, we were afraid that all of our teams would not be on board with the idea. We know and realize that not everyone is 100% on board with change. The task of finding a software that would supercede all of our fears and worries. Asset Panda's ease of customization, simple functionality, and especially its customer support have erased all concerns we may have had. Cons When using the app, I have experienced one difficulty that I would like you to be aware of. When I've selected the "new asset" option, a menu bar containing the asset's information to be entered appears on the right side of the screen. Sometimes, this menu bar will minimize to the right and collapse onto the side of the display screen. Is it possible to have this menu be locked into place? It's always a pain when I'm tagging an asset, trying to enter information, and the screen isn't functioning well. April 28, 2022 5.0 Pros The product has a terrific amount of customization (for asset fields, etc., as well as users). The automated reports are great. Being cloud-based is excellent, so we can have multiple users on different devices in our warehouse. The barcode scanning and generating is also essential for what we do. It basically fulfills all our needs, and transitions off of paper records. Cons It's not the most intuitive to understand in the first place, but there is PLENTY of customer support to walk you through (they'll even record videos for you of how to do particular functions). I'm also somewhat disappointed that we can't use "archived" items the way we'd like, but again, customer support found us a work-around. It's fairly easy to generate reports as needed for audits, counts, etc. Pros The best thing for us about Asset Panda is the ability to add/move/track assets with a phone app. Cons The only thing long term we've experienced with the tool is that it can tend to be slow sometimes on the PC. On the app it seems to go fairly well. Accounting/IT Liaison Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Asset Panda at ZirMed" January 23, 2017 4.0 The sales and support staff at Asset Panda have been very responsive and extremely helpful. It was great working with customer support representative to get the product demonstrated and purchased and did an outstanding job helping us develop our platform and stand up the product. One of the customer support representatives was also a tremendous asset when it came to troubleshooting our issues. We have now been using Asset Panda operationally for a few days and the internal teams are enjoying the product and are excited about the potential it has to improve our property accountability and work-flows. We enjoy the customization capabilities, ease of use, and the clean, simple design and layout. I believe it will accomplish largely what we were looking for in asset management and tracking system at an extremely competitive price. We also think the mobile app is a nice and convenient addition to the platform. I did, however, give the Features & Functionality a lower score (which also dropped Overall Quality and Customer Support slightly) as it took us nearly 40 additional days to become operational due to issues with the Active Directory integration. I believe our current solution will work but I am not sure is the ideal implementation of the Active Directory integration. The issues we encountered were no fault of anyone but as common as Active Directory and Active Directory integrations with cloud-based platforms are, we expected the process to be much easier and more seamless than it was. We had an internal go-live date of January 3rd, as our fiscal year is the calendar year, and this was pushed back to January 20th because of the Active Directory integration issues and we were only able to become operational at that time based on somewhat of a stop-gap fix that we came up with internally. Now that our Employees and Users are integrated with Asset Panda and those issues seem to be behind us, our experience is by no means a deal-breaker. We just hope that future integrations are a bit easier to use. Otherwise, we are definitely happy with the product thus far and are excited to be using it! March 7, 2018 5.0 This is essential software for our facility management team. They simply cannot operate without it at this point. It's easy to recommend and are backed by a great dev team. Pros The barcode scanner via camera is seamless and quick. They're stored easily and can be sorted/customized as needed. This allows our management to keep track of all assets with an easy to use interface. Cons The mobile app leaves some to be desired in terms of UX. They're working on this and updating the app so it's not a con for long. They seem to know their limitations and are addressing them appropriately. November 13, 2018 5.0 Overall I am impressed with the system. I am able to track the history of any asset, right down to exactly who has had access to it (useful for when items come back from the field without being cleaned properly)! Customer support has been open, friendly, and helpful. The system is easy to navigate and customize. Entering things in the system as I take inventory of our various labs has allowed me to figure out exactly what assets we currently have and which ones have been disposed of, and track all of the necessary information with ease and clarity. Pros I like that the system is customizable to your specific needs. Most everything in the configuration side of the settings is self explanatory and easy to use (and if I wasn't catching onto how something worked on my own, the support tab is always there to help). I like that the app includes a barcode scanner so I didn't have to worry about the added expense of buying one. I also like that I can create my own barcodes within the system, completely customizable and in various sizes depending on the size of the asset I want to tag. The ability to add pictures and documents to an asset is fantastic - no more searching the Internet for a manual that may or may not exist anymore because an asset is too old! Cons I would like to see in the future the Reallocate button on the app version. No longer do we have to worry about keeping an excel document up to date that might get lost somewhere when we can have all the data in one place. Pros The interface and ease of access makes managing everything simple and easy to use for anyone, not just IT staff. If you EVER have a problem with the system their team seems to be comprised of 5 start support staff who always seem willing to help you out and tackle the issue. Cons There was only one con for me and it was the inability to group custom made groups and organize them a little better rather than just a list that you can't sort out or create containers for. Eventually I was able to speak with a service rep and we were back in contact with someone that could help us, though unfortunately we still have some problems that have never been fixed on Asset Panda's end, mainly with how to get accurate reports from months that have passed. We've been able to work around it though, while still trying to find a solution. Pros You really can customize it to your liking. It goes really in depth with how you want to categorize your assets, and more importantly your reports. Also if you have assets that you loan out to your employees it's very easy to keep track of it. Cons Sometimes it's difficult getting help on specific asset related questions- their IT department understandably aren't accountants! We still haven't found out how to create accurate reports for month's that have passed, but month by month the reports are very handy. Each employee has a cell phone, and a laptop. Some employees also have bluetooth headsets, and other IT accessories. We have always struggled to track which equipment has been issued to what employee. Asset Panda has solved this issue for us. Now that we have all of the assets in the system, we can now get a glimpse of any asset that an employee has at any given time. Pros What I like most about this software is the android app that we are able to use to enter and track IT assets. We are a small business but big enough to have to track assets and depreciation. We are able to assign these assets to any user, to their department, and then also assign a vehicle to that user or asset as well! This makes reporting a breeze as well. I am able to get a snapshot of all assets and their values to different departments. Cons For me, it's hard to find cons for this software. If I had to pick one though, it was that I had to purchase asset tags from a third party. This wasn't that negative of an experience but it would have been nice to get everything done through asset panda. April 18, 2018 3.0 Pros Cloud hosting gives me peace-of-mind. Default fields are good, ability to customize even better. Having a mobile app is helpful. Support is responsive, friendly, and easy to understand. Despite my list of "cons", I like this platform, I just want it to be faster. Cons I migrated from a fast locally hosted networked Filemaker Pro server. Asset Panda has 1-2 sec. of lag between every query, every save, and every click in and out of records (my ISP connection is 100Mbps up/down). FMPro never had issues with access time. The AP support team tried to make it faster, but only ended up removing useful features- I wonder if their servers can handle their customer base's needs. GUI is ok, but needs some tweaks to make it more visually useful (instead of bland rows and columns)- the eye isn't drawn to any one area. Definitely a worthwhile tool, in need of some revisions. It has centralized our info and synced our team." July 19, 2018 4.0 The main benefit is getting all of our fleet information centrally located and available to all team members. Pros It allows our team to stay informed as well as keep asset records up-to-date between us. With the mobile app we can document repairs in real time and keep everyone in the know. Reports helps us to understand what issues we are having and how to work to prevent or minimize them in the future. Cons At times some of the features/functions can seem a bit limited. Some parts are not as intuitive or have a clear A to B means of setting up (calculators and auto-fills). It can become a real puzzle to find a path that will consistently yield the desired results and not make it overly complicated for our end users.
