It also saves me the hassle of having to click or unclick time slots based on this. Cons I wish Doodle provided the option to use arbitrary dates, like when scheduling recurring meetings, versus specific days (Ex: I want to put just Monday and Tuesday, not Monday 12/13 and Tuesday 12/14, on the calendar). Or, if this is a feature, I must've missed it, meaning it is difficult to access and should be easier to find. Review Source Courtney C. Pros Doodle is a great way to schedule appointments and makes it super easy to compare schedules. I have a lot of people that have different schedules and this makes it easier for people to easily mark when they are available. I am then able to clearly see what day and time works best. Simply asks a question of time frames for all invitees to respond to. Essentially a time logistics software that allows the organizer to optimize the best time for a meeting. If the other poll takers are later they can easily help the process by only picking times already chosen. Cons Nothing really wrong with how this software works in my opinion. I could just list all the times I was available and the students did the rest. No one had to log-in to anything, no one had to sign-up for anything. Very easy. Cons Sometimes the calendar of available dates, when long, stretched off the screen and it was hard to maneuver around that, but it didn't effect my enjoyment of the program. The free tool is a great value, but I don't think it's worth paying for the premium service. Pros What I like the most about Doodle is it's ease of use in terms of setting up a quick poll of dates or ideas. Using their free service, you can generate a doodle very quickly and send to anyone to update, collaborate over scheduling or voting on ideas. Cons My least favorite aspect of Doodle is their calendar view-- this feature can definitely be improved. It only allows you to see one day at a time. In general, their display could be improved. It would be better if all dates in the checklist format were viewable when the phone is in normal viewing mode, but you have to turn your phone horizontal to change the view to see everything without scrolling. Everyone is now given the time to check their own schedules. I believe that this matched with the thought that plans were created around your schedule actually helps people stick to their plans with meetings beginning on time and staying more efficient. Pros This is the perfect tool in our crazy busy world. It helped me organize a large group of individuals in a fair and accessible way. I highly recommend for any event, from business to personal and everything in between. Cons The only tiny con I have found is the lack of ability for categorization of responses. This feature could be useful when choosing dates based on particular individual availability. It has become my go-to and I recommend it any time scheduling is being discussed. Pros Doodle has greatly simplified coordinating various people's schedules without a huge back-and-forth over email. It has been a lifesaver for scheduling with ease! Cons I wish there was a way to customize the monthly view with multiple time blocks that was more of a standard monthly view. The interface is highly intuitive: I can just go to the website to set up my invitation link in no time. Results are clearly presented so I can quickly see which option works best for most attendees. I don't even need to create an account to use Doodle at all. Cons It's hard to have any complaint for a tool that is dedicated to such a simple task and does it so well. If anything, I personally find that the premium plans are not really worth it. Pros Doodle is the easiest way to figure out the availability of a large group of people. You can set your own options for the time slots. Cons Since you enter your name yourself, rather having it generated by your login account, there is the possibility that a user can accidentally delete their own availability or respond multiple times. Cons It's not so easy to create a recurrence of availability - you have to check off the individual boxes instead. It would be nice if there was a recurrence feature like on outlook. Also it's free. Pros This is a quick way to figure out when everyone is free to meet for a specific cause (meetings, social activity, etc). Cons Some of the functionality has now been put behind a pay-wall. Creating the time schedule of available time could use some serious User Interface improvement as well. Pros The ability to add multiple dates, options and times to give your colleagues a good range of choices when trying to arrange meetings or events. It takes the hassle out of trying to get people together via email! Cons None come to mind - for a free piece of software you can achieve so much and with such ease. Pros My staff in my department has grown significantly in the last year, and I was looking for a way to save the mass amount of email chains and junking up the inbox with trying to set up meetings or other points of interest for my team. I decided to try Doodle and I am really glad we did. It's very easy for me to send one thing out to my team for say, choosing a date for a meeting, instead of receiving a huge email chain back and forth. It has made life easier for all of us! Cons I don't have any qualms about this program. It was easy to set up from my end and it was easy for my staff to follow when they received the doodle notifications about a poll or meeting.
