Pros What I like most about Bauwise is the flexibility. Both Bauwise as a system and as a team has been very flexible in relation to fit the use of Bauwise to our specific needs. The Bauwise team has been an excellent sparring partner in the setup and implementation of Bauwise. On one hand they have listened, understood and adjusted Bauwise to fit our needs. And on the other hand the have also tried to challenge the way we work in order to maximize the benefit of using Bauwise. Cons I haven't experienced any cons yet. In a lot of other "bigger" systems, the financial project controlling is only a minor part of the system (or a add-on), whereas Bauwise has their expertise within this fields. First of all it makes Bauwise more competitive financially, because you then only pay for what you need, and thereby are not paying for a lot of things you don't need. And furthermore it also means that this is Bauwises core product, and thereby that they are experts in this field. Unfortunately, the report prepared in Excel required a lot of resources from the project managers, who had to be careful not to make formula mistakes.We submitted Excel reports only monthly. Now with Bauwise, reporting is monitored live. As a result, control over costs and revenues is many times more comprehensive. The good thing is that there are markers to determine when an error occurred. For example, if the actual cost is higher than the cost forecast, the numbers will appear in red.Bauwise has undoubtedly resulted in significant resource savings in entering and approving invoices and forecasting costs. In addition, project managers who have started using digital payment applications are delighted, and good feedback is coming from subcontractors.Getting an overview of costs and benefits is more operative. In Excel, the shift from reality was about 1.2 months; in Bauwise, it is less than a day, which results from the synchronization of entries with the accounting software. Pros Approving invoices saves a lot of time. In the past, invoices were emailed, printed, signed, and scanned. The construction manager and the accountant can see the approvals of all invoices, whether the approval has exceeded the deadline, etc.Online payment applications with subcontractors make life significantly easier.
