"Poor Billing Governance and No Effective Control Over Payment Methods"

**Overall:** While the product itself is functional, my experience with account management and billing was extremely frustrating. The most concerning issue was discovering that I remained financially responsible for recurring charges while lacking the permissions necessary to manage the subscription or remove the payment method being charged. This created a situation where I had financial liability without corresponding account control. Customer support was responsive, but ultimately unwilling to provide a refund despite prolonged inactivity and legitimate concerns regarding payment management. I cannot recommend a platform where billing responsibility and account control can become disconnected in this way.

**Pros:** The platform itself provides useful logistics and delivery management capabilities. Initial onboarding was straightforward and the product generally performed as expected when actively used.

**Cons:** illing transparency and account governance were extremely disappointing. A payment method associated with me continued to be charged even though I was not the account owner and had no administrative access to billing settings, subscription management, or payment methods. When a different company payment method failed, charges reverted to my card without my knowledge and without any mechanism available to me to review or remove it. The account was inactive for months, yet billing continued. When I requested a refund for unused service, the request was denied despite the lack of recent platform usage. The overall process exposed serious concerns regarding billing controls, payment method management, and customer visibility over recurring charges.

**Reasons for Switching to Onfleet:** We switched from Onfleet to Fleetbase because we wanted greater control, transparency, and ownership of our logistics infrastructure. Fleetbase offers a modern open source architecture that can be self hosted while still providing a cloud option when needed. This gives us full visibility over our data, billing, and operational workflows, without being locked into a proprietary platform. As our business grows, having the flexibility to customize the platform, integrate it deeply with our systems, and maintain complete control over access and costs became a strategic advantage. Fleetbase better aligns with our long term technology and operational requirements.
