It sends reminders constantly so you don't miss appointments which is extremely helpful! I like the different features it has like taking deposits prior to an appointment. I also like that you can schedule with time and not have to worry about forgetting because they will remind you days before. It seems like a secure platform, no need to learn how to use because they make it super easy to use. Cons There has never been any issues while using booksy for me. It is straight forward. Cons What I liked least was the promotion boost that they offered. Every new client they took 50% of the haircut for the first booking. " May 11, 2026 3.0 The overall experience was pretty good because I was able to keep track of my books easier and customers were able to book, but it would be that way with any booking app. It became a bad experience when I had to fight for my money too many times. Pros I like the idea of getting new clients from Booksey. But in reality, it doesn’t work out that way. Because you have to fight for your referrals that your own clientele referred to you. They always try to take a cut of every new Client. I had even if they did not give it to me. After 35 years I’m capable of getting my own clientele, but they said and I quote.. “they don’t recognize referrals.” I did recommend it to a colleague of mine who was a new stylist and she has had a good experience on it because she will gain new Client from it and she doesn’t have to fight them because she wasn’t in my situation where she had been doing her for a very long time getting referrals from clients. So I would say this works for a new stylist, but not somebody who is already pretty much booked, but just looking for a new client here and there. Cons Having to fight for my money. And not getting it more than half of the time. I am currently using a different app and I am not having this problem at all. There needs to be a way where customers come in and on their end initiate the payment so that way there’s no conversation on if they will be using the app to pay. I’ve already acquired more customer reviews from this service in the two months than I had on Google alone from almost two years at a previous establishment. Pros I love that it makes booking easy for me and my clients and that it helps me keep detailed records of each client. I also love that Booksy automatically sends a follow up email to each client and allows them to leave you a review right there and then. Cons The only gripe I have with the app is that I think the checkout tools could use some improvement. I prefer that the tipping option be made available after the initial checkout has been made, rather then beforehand, because it makes things a little awkward and if you’re using this app on a phone then it can be difficult for clients to read and accidentally be overcharged or mistakenly be charged for a tip they may have not known—this mainly applies to cash tippers. Then after I readjusted Booksy fixed that issue but now the ones that did have auto pay originally no longer has it on for them. So it screwed somethings up. Pros I don’t need to constantly answer phone calls or do heavy marketing the open network on the client app helps bring people to me. Cons I wish that Booksy would add a notification when someone is in the waiting list. I won’t know unless a client tells me.
