January 28, 2019 4.0 I'd recommend Text In Church to any church who is looking to offer text opt in for new visitors or for events. Pros The user interface is fantastic and it's very easy to learn. You can tell a lot of planning went into this service, as it does almost everything we could ask of it. Cons We've had a few issues of people not getting the automatic text replies. Text In Church has done a good job of addressing these issues, though it can be confusing for congregants when texts are coming in from two different phone numbers. The fact that this is an automated process ensures that this is done and does not require any manual intervention. I'm not having to depend upon someone to follow up with our guests. Pros What I like most about this product is that it provides follow-ups to our visitors with periodic reminders to come back to visit us or join the church. It also has an option for people to sign up for activities and events. Cons I would like to have the ability to add my own forms to use for different things that happen in the church. You are pretty much restricted to the templates that they offer already. April 12, 2021 5.0 Text in Church is a great product that ensures no one in our church is "falling through the cracks." Pros I really like how TIC syncs with Planning Center lists. I can have peace of mind, knowing that new visitors to my church will be followed up with instantly by a text and will go through a workflow process. Cons For whatever reason, Text in Church does not sync right away with Planning Center Online. That means if I create a new group and set it up in TIC to sync with PCO, it can take several hours or more to launch. Review Source BW Bart W. I also appreciated how they continually are making the product better, there are new features added regularly! Cons If you had asked a couple of weeks ago, I would have said a con is that you can only send to one group at a time, but they recently changed that! Pros The option to text church members from a phone that isn't your own personal phone is something that we've wanted for a long time! Cons Our Ministry Platform database has all of our contacts, lists, etc. - but the programs don't talk to each other, so we can't use it. Pros The syncing with our main database and the ability to create a workflow. Cons That is does not sync and update quickly. There is no good workaround for people who share an email but both want to get texts to their own phone. We got 90% response from the MIA members and they actually came and are now coming to church. Pros The templates that are already set up makes it very easy for a newbie to start using the software. THe team seems to be very engaged with the customers/clients. Cons The mobile app does not allow for the same function as the software use on the computer. February 28, 2018 3.0 The benefits are reaching the families of our church/school immediately. Everyone is digital and stuck to their devices and the quickest way to reach them is through those devises. This software takes the manual labor and guesswork out of reaching everyone in your database. Pros I like the features of being able to select all or just a sub category. That is helpful in organizing what the message is for. The concept is great and the results are immediate. Cons I do not like the colors used. It seems dull and boring. Pros The system of being able to follow first time guests with texts and e-mails as well as more personal contacts. No one got lost in the cracks so to speak. We were able to track people more efficiently. Cons Do not like the App. When send texts to specific groups their responses show up to everyone on the App which is unnecessary and clutters. Also it seems that everyone at first gets 2 of the same texts and we can't seem to get that corrected.
