They were patient with us - and we definitely needed it with holidays and key people being away during the implementation. Rather than pushing us through their standard process, they were happy to extend our trial period and actually work around our needs instead of making us fit their timeline. That kind of flexibility says a lot about their support. Pros The system is genuinely intuitive to use. Getting it installed and set up across our remote teams was straightforward, and when we needed to uninstall or make changes, there were no headaches. The tracking itself does what it says it will - gives us solid visibility into device activity across our remote workforce without being clunky or intrusive. It just works. Cons Honestly, there's not much to fault. The value for money is solid. The only thing that's been a minor irritation is the screenshot capture can be a bit hit and miss sometimes - they're not coming through as consistently as we'd expect. We're still looking into whether that's something on our end, but it's the only real gripe we've got. Since I work in HR, I mainly use it to review our VAs’ working hours, attendance, breaks, and manual time entries. It makes my job easier, especially when VAs reach out with concerns about their time logs because I can quickly check their records and help them figure out what needs to be corrected. It’s also helpful for making sure their hours are properly recorded for payroll. I also appreciate that their customer service team is responsive and helpful whenever we have questions or need assistance. On editing shifts in real time, you have put your finger on something worth fixing rather than explaining away: when a schedule changes mid-day and the entry cannot follow it, the productivity figures in Insightful inherit the error. We are passing this to our product team with your reasoning attached, since the reasoning is the part that makes it actionable. Our support team can also show you what the manual entry options do cover today, in case some of it is reachable already. I also like that the main screen shows the total time worked. Cons As stated in Pros - I had difficulty logging in. At first, I tried to use a Linux Variant (Linux Mint). I switched to Windows OS. There were some VPN issues, and using the correct login credentials. Switching to Windows was the right call. Despite not seeing a video, i can still see if my people are working or not. Pros It helps me keep track of what my people are doing. When i'm not in the office employees tend to get lazy and stop doing their work. I'm able to see this. Cons It would be nice to see a longer video of screen use. If i could see more than a screen shot of what my people were doing that would be nice. Since safety is your remit, one more thing worth a look: the working hours data in Insightful shows who is working long unbroken stretches. That is useful to see early rather than late. It works well for me. I had a polite and friendly email exchange with a member of the team at Insightful to clarify my account, which was dealt with promptly and professionally. Pros It was extremely easy to install, insightful, and the intuitive nature of the product made it easy to start using immediately without any guidance. I can have insightful running alongside the work that I'm doing, so that it's very easy to track the amount of time spent on tasks. I have two screens, so it works really nicely. Cons I'm contracting via Mercor and I think assigning projects to 'employees' was counterintuitive as a setup, but was fine once up and running. The 'employees' framing does sit oddly for a contractor. The vocabulary follows whoever set the account up, so you land in Insightful inside a structure written for someone else's org chart. It is the labelling rather than anything about how your hours are handled. Glad the exchange with the team was a straightforward one, and enjoy the rest of the contract.
