We are responding to clients more quickly, almost never letting emails fall through the cracks, and have the reporting from Hiver to prove it.

Pros

There was a slight learning curve early on as we implemented and configured Hiver, but support was great. Super helpful. Now, our team can easily track open and closed requests with our clients, and easily collaborate behind the scenes with each other to solve customer issues. The metrics and reporting have also benefited our team's self evaluations and also given us an opportunity to show clients that we are tracking our own performance in an effort to provide them with better service.

Cons

The early learning curve with configuration in Gmail took some time and effort, but that was expected.

Hiver has been a gamechanger for me since I get a lot of emails daily. It helps to separate emails for those who need assistance from my everyday emails. Best of all, I'm using the free version which covers all my needs.

Pros

I love that its very lightweight as its integrated within your Gmail and that for what I need it for, its completely free. Probably my favorite piece of it is that it separates my requests from my everyday email.

Cons

Some of the features that I would consider basic and should be included are only included in the paid version.

Extreme disappointment with Hiver's billing practices. We were overcharged $450, and we were informed that a refund is not possible. We find this policy, and the overcharge itself, to be unreasonable and indicative of concerning billing practices.

Pros

Gmail-integrated help desk solution it's easy to use and install but with limited customizations. Clean interface.

Cons

They overcharge for subscriptions/users and the customer service isn't very helpful. If you want to talk to a human, you have to pay a premium.

At Scrut, we have been using Hiver for about more than a year now. I would like to say until now the experience until now has been amazing using this tool.

Pros

Out of many features, I liked the shared inbox feature most. It made our life lot easier by communication with the internal stakeholders who are part of the email chain, without adding external stakeholders. This has eased up and streamlined the internal communication for each task/project assigned.

Cons

One feature I believe should be added is overall dashobaord where you can see all the chats together for bird eye view and better insights.

We are very pleased with Hiver. The product fills a need (that Google should be providing) and it works great. Their customer service is also excellent.

Pros

Hiver provides the functionality to manage a shared email address between multiple people directly through Google's email interface. New emails pop into the Hiver managed folders where your assigned team can all see them. It's very simple to manage the emails through assignments, comments, and tags. Hiver takes the chaos of a Google group or shared email address and adds a layer of functionality and workflow. It is a gamechanger.

Cons

I don't like that there is a need for Hiver. This is not an issue with Hiver but with Google. Google needs to buy Hiver and integrate this functionality directly into their email service. This functionality is necessary for many business customers and would be a big selling point for Google's enterprise services.

The email management and task assignment features are excellent. It centralizes communication and ensures nothing slips through the cracks. Using it as our major customer support workflow has been a game-changer.

Cons

A two-way integration with Slack would be extremely helpful. Right now, we can view some notifications, but deeper integration to manage tasks or conversations directly from Slack would improve efficiency.

The ease of assigning and organizing cluttered email distros. We can have our clerks assign emails from the emails that have high volume and filter them to who needs it.

Cons

Emails can pop back open and get reassigned to people even after resolution. This can be fixed easily.

Pros

Used Hiver for the first time during a team training event. It was super user friendly, and allowed for an engaging event. Using Hiver within our training session allowed every single person to share thoughts without even having to speak and in turn allowed others to follow along with their internal thought process. It made this super dry meeting way more fun.

Cons

I think there should be a feature that once enabled allows each individual to be auto assigned a color for sticky notes. It took us extra time to grab a color someone else didn't already use.

In order to avoid having to switch between multiple systems to see what messages we had received, Hiver consolidated all of our emails into one platform. This helped us increase our interaction with emails that received us with various content more quickly and efficiently, and also kept us in touch with updates and responses, the matter of which made the processes of following up on customer requests and problems more efficiently, and also the directives of the heads of work were circulated and a more efficient way of distributing information.

Pros

Hiver streamlined the email-based management of support issues, tasks, and client information. Hiver makes email entry in remote offices simple and easy. Allows team members to argue String emails, as well as categorize emails that can be seen by everyone on the team. An email box that is shared by all members of a team helps keep everyone on the same page. Assigning projects to coworkers, tracking their progress, and organizing their workload are all made easier with this tool. Using Hiver, you may work together with colleagues on each customer and keep track of important emails to ensure you don't miss anything.

Cons

In general, there are no negatives affecting the general performance of Hiver, as after completing the training, the team will be able to use it efficiently at their different levels and experience. But the problem remains with the high subscription prices, which are not suitable for small enterprises.

They are fantastic at onboarding. They kept offering follow ups even when everybody was up and using it.

Pros

Hiver channels Google Group emails to tabs in your inbox. They are organized separately from your regular inbox and from each other. As emails come into groups you are a member of they can be assigned to users in that group. Emails can be passed back and forth, commented on, tagged etc. They can even be moved to another group.

Cons

I have no complaints about the functionality of Hiver. They seem to have thought of everything. They are working on enhancing their SF functionality and I am looking forward to that.

Hiver has significantly improved our internal collaboration. Easy integration with Google Workspace, shared labels and shared mailboxes are allowing team members to find any relevant emails they may be looking for based on how our workflows are setup. The analytics on the shared mailboxes provide relevant insights for optimizing our workflows and improving accountability across company. We have been Hiver users for 6-7 years and a happy one, when issues arise support has been fantastic, personable, with timely follow-ups and never dismissing our concerns. In our company every employee uses hiver.

Cons

Usually, it is much easier to find cons in any application, but I find with Hiver to the extent we use it, there is nothing to complain about.

None. Hiver completely derailed our operations at a period of peak media coverage.

Pros

Hiver features initially seemed great. I was eager to make use of their promised benefits. Unfortunately, Hiver completely halted our operations for over a week and lost us a great deal of business. Throughout it all, their team was unapologetic and dismissive of the role that Hiver had in derailing our email communications with clients. Rather than seeing this as an opportunity to resolve and repair clear technical defects, they blatanly blew off our repeated requests for support.

Cons

I tested out many collaborative email tools before deciding to go with Hiver. I was impressed by the intuitive design, canned response functionality and mobile app. Unfortunately, several days after installing the tool, we began to suspect that our clients were not receiving our emails consistently. I reached out to Hiver several times over the course of a few days and received no response. This lapse in email functionality coincided with some significant and favorable press coverage - our site traffic was nearly double what it normally was - and yet we went for 10 entire days without a single new client at a time when we would normally have 10-15 new clients typically. I tried for an entire week to engage help from the Hiver team. They insisted - and continue to insist- that their tool does not impact email sending functionality. I would beg to differ. As soon as I uninstalled Hiver, my communications with clients returned to normal. On a final note, to top this off, my team and I are 3 women. When we called Hiver's India-based support team, they were loudy making obvious, derogotary remarks about our being female and unable to understand their tool - calling us 'Dumb Blondes'. Highly inept and unprofessional team. Also worst nightmare for a growing startup!

Pros

In order to handle email and distribute work among team members, Hiver is a good Email management tool. Tracking team work and workload is easy with it. Work performance can be tracked and compared with the filter feature. It is possible for team members to be added to a group in order to help other team members, such as emailing a particular email address, which will be visible to all members.

Cons

I have a ticket assigned to me, but someone on my team may close it without my permission, this should not happen except (Team Lead and manager). It should be closed once i assign it to him.

Pros

Helps organize shared inbox and keeps members of company accountable for getting back to customers. No excuses for not seeing an email - Hiver makes it so easy to keep track of hundreds of daily emails!

Cons

I want customizable notification settings - I get emails assigned to me everyday and don't need that info but being able to see the times that a colleague @'s me will be super helpful and those seem to get lost in the notifications.
