Pros: It is a complete online file sharing and storage service. You can register for free to Dropbox basic or you can decide to upgrade to Dropbox PLus (1TB of space) or to subscribe to the Dropbox Business Plan available in three different variants: Standard - Advanced - Enterprise. The Business Plan includes 30 days of free trial.

By creating a Dropbox Basic account you get 2GB of space for free. You can increase your space by completing some steps provided by Dropbox, such as: Dropbox App installation on your device, referral programme, and so on. The Business Plan offers 3TB of space and many other additional features you might find on the website.

You can easily upload, download and view your files that are stored in one single space and that could be always accessible and shareable with anyone through a simple web link.

The files could be sort in specific folders and each folder could be shared with different person. One space, multiple uses. When you delete a file you can recover it for a certain time (determine by the active plan).

Thanks to Dropbox's Smart Sync, your devices will always be synchronized and your files always available.

Delta-updates cleverly manage amended files. When you edit a single word of an already uploaded file, Dropbox will only upload the variation preserving the rest.

LAN syncing among devices on the same local network

You can set specific privacy conditions to each file you upload or share.

Cons: Commercial initiatives to push users switching to paid plans are very intrusive. No business invoice for Plus, only for Pro. That makes not so much sense to me and could be a big issue for the company. It has a free useful alternative, not so advanced but really valuable: Google Drive.

Overall: Dropbox is a great workspace to storage and organize any kind of files. It increases my productivity every day. I installed it on every device I use, both for work and personal purposes and I cannot live without it. In just a few clicks I can upload, download or view the files I need. The sharing possibility with everyone is a salvation when working with other teammates or external customers.

Pros: My biggest advocation for Dropbox is how it integrates cloud backups into your computer's native file structure. Having on-computer search and version management is amazing.

Just when their software was getting stale, Dropbox introduced their Smart Sync feature. Smart sync is a fantastic way to manage thousands of files easily on any device, whether that's a custom-made PC workhorse or a MacBook Air. Smart Sync surpasses Selective Sync in almost every way, but it's not perfect.

Dropbox Business also introduces simultaneous personal and work accounts, which is fantastic. Because nearly everyone I know has a personal dropbox that they don't necessarily want backed up with work files. Dropbox handles these two accounts smoothly, letting you have two dropbox folders on your computer and allowing you to manage permissions individually.

I prefer it over Box.com and OneDrive. Even though those pieces of software may have more admin management tools, they show their age by how cluttered and complicated those tools are to manage. Dropbox is simple so you don't have to spend more time managing users than you have to.

Cons: The way Dropbox handles their billing cycles is annoying and costly for rapidly adding and removing users. We use the annual billing cycle. If you go over your user cap, you have to pay for a full year of another user account immediately. Staying under your user cap doesn't get you a prorated rate and you don't get reimbursed for users you don't use.

Versioning and file change management has always been good with Dropbox, but recently it's been making some larger mistakes that can take hours or even days to sync up, even with a small team.

It would be good if you could set a folder or file owner who had specific privileges. Like only the owner can delete team-shared files, and the owner's version trumps version conflicts.

Smart sync is great, but it still has some bugs - especially when new folders are added by other team members.

Overall: Dropbox is one of the best cloud sync storage providers. Google Drive is a big contender and has been steadily improving, but Drive is trying to land a solid service while Dropbox's desktop sync software still shines.

Comments: Very Amazing!! Very Fast and Reliable sync capabilities of cloud Storage, Very easy to Use, Budget Friendly, User-friendly, with Reliable Security feature.

Pros: Awesome!!! It is One of the Best-known cloud and file sharing services, while it offers storage as well syncing for all files..... -Perfectly designed to Backup your hard drive. -It is Budget Friendly -User Friendly -Very Fast File Sync - Reliable security feature I've been using Dropbox for 3 years now. I can store any type of file in it. It helps me a lot on my work, especially as a programmer, I don't have to worry on bringing USB at all, I just sync my file. Plus, the integration with other apps such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and a lot more.. Can't live without it... it's a very huge help in my career and as my personal backup tool.

Cons: There's nothing I can say bad about this cloud storage. Everyone should try it and benefit from its very important and effective services. You will also be amazed.

Pros: The core product of Dropbox is rock solid. It's an easy to use, fast, no nonsense online storage and file sharing service. Sharing content with a link is very good and easy to use, plus the option to receive comments on this content is very welcome for many professionals. Shared folders appear in your collaborators respective Dropbox and sync instantly. Nerdy things like delta-updates (meaning that if you change a single word to your file, it only uploads the difference and not the whole file again), LAN syncing (computers in the same local network don't have to download shared folders' content) are not just nice to have, but a core details that push Dropbox over the top.

Cons: Lately Dropbox has been trying to nickel and dime Plus users: their new file streaming functionality in reserved only for Pro (their mid tier). Additionally, they have been pushing heavily for either Free or Plus users to upgrade to more costly tiers, quite obtrusively. Also, they couldn't issue a business invoice for my Plus account, as this was only possible for Pro account -- although it's clearly a business expense for me. So personally, after being a Plus customer for years, it made more sense to stick with the Free plan for some basic collaboration and storage, and switch to G Suite Google Drive, which doesn't have fancy things like delta-updates and isn't as straightforward as Dropbox, but what it does have is infinite storage and file streaming built-in. All in all, you can decide what's best for you, but choose wisely because switching between these services can be quite a headache.

Pros: We have this app setup on our desktops and iPads. It is a GREAT program to integrate with other programs such as Adobe PDF on my iPad. I rely on this heavily everyday for putting proposals together. It is so incredibly easy to save all of my sales proposals straight onto the dropbox app from my iPad Adobe PDF app which saves me so much time and energy. Our company could not function without Dropbox. All of our files are saved and shared through this software. When we receive purchase orders through the fax, my scheduling team is able to pull my sales proposals that I have put together without needing to ask me for them. The file is easy to move around, I can access this remotely from home which is nice.

Cons: We have had a lot of issues with lagging on our desktops, our IT technician told us that the slowness of our desktops was caused by the dropbox app. I am not sure if this is true or not.. I have also had issues with the dropbox file deleting from my desktop files in my favorites section, so I've had to go find it and drag it back out to my favorites on my mac desktop. The other issue is sometimes the file will get really slow and then not find the files at all, a question mark will pop up and it will say cannot connect to server, I then have to go to the top left of my desktop click on the "Go" tab and then click "Connect to server", and it will finally connect and load the files. I'm not sure if this is a setup issue but we have not had it as bad recently as it used to be..

Overall: Works great for our company, keeps us all connected, does what we need it to do. We rely on this heavily everyday.

Pros: 1. I started using Dropbox in my college year to share study material with my classmates, It helped me a lot to gave them permission as I liked(read, write) etc.

2. Then when I started working Dropbox let me access my files as well as my team mates files from any device anywhere.

3. Firstly I had basic version of Dropbox that comes with 2 GB of free space but as people signed up on Dropbox using my link I got more space. Currently I am using its paid version.

4. I can send the link of storage space that i want to share to my friends and colleagues and they can see the files even if they are not on Dropbox.

5. It has file recovery feature that can give safety to my important data.

6. I really like its user friendly mobile app.

7. From desktop I just have to drag and drop the content in the Dropbox.

8. It also Synced the content smoothly from one device to other.

9. It also provide the logs of the file like last modified etc that really come helpful sometimes.

10. Features like sorting of data in Ascending, descending or file size is another good feature to quickly find the data.

11.It also provide Restore button for accidentally deleted files.

These were some specific point why i like Dropbox.

Cons: 1. I would say the price of it's paid version, I know no one can get such a software without spending the penny but again they should decrease the price.

2. Very low storage space of basic version of Dropbox i.e. 2 GB of space that comes free of cost.

3. Ease of access(Graphical user interface) can be increased.

Overall: I can share my heavy size files to anybody from anywhere from any device like mobile, desktop.

This way I don't have to copy the data into my pen drive and then give this to my friend or family to copy again to their device.

Different people can access the same work space and add, modify and delete the data and every action will be logged so no one can deny their action.

I don't have to worry about deletion, corruption or lost of my data, Dropbox take care all of it.

Pros: I've been using Dropbox since it came out in 2007. It was one of the first and just worked for me. The limited space (2GB) had me take advantage of its additional space promo via inviting as many people to use it and therefore earn an extra 500MB from each one referred to Dropbox.

Dropbox just works for me. It works on the background without much toll on my PC's resources. My teammates also have personal dropbox but we realized we needed more storage capacity, and we needed a way to work more collaboratively using the same space. This is when we decided to try Dropbox for Business.

Everything you love about personal (free) Dropbox is made available to Team members! Shared space simplifies our workflow and file sharing/access. The limits as Dropbox puts it "As much space as needed" is a great assurance that we won't run out of storage space mid-way through the project.

Our Infra/Systems Admin also likes Dropbox because certain tasks are facilitated for them, e.g., easy to setup Single-Sign-On (SSO) for authentication and Invites, Tiered admin roles and advanced admin console. Even our own company domain can be integrated and used for verification. Plus, devices that connect to the service may also be monitored and controlled. These are all crucial for security and operations management.

Cons: Since this is Cloud-based, provisions on Internet bandwidth has to be ensured, otherwise, it may appear to be slow for your teams who work on files synced via the network.

Overall: Dropbox has stood the test of time and the threats of similar (and cheaper) services available out there. It just goes to show the quality, bang-for-every-buck, ease of use, beauty, and simplicity of this service. Every single thing you love about personal Dropbox is now made collaborative and available for Teams and Businesses.

Pros: Your every files and folder in one safe, secure place, easy to access and manage.

Our company has a business account with several terabytes, it allows us to keep pretty much everything there, organized and managed. Our employees has access to their personal folders to keep their own files, and also with a set of automation we give them access to other folders, such as HR files, blueprints, etc.

It is a great tool to keep also your files in sync, every time someone update a file or adds a file to a folder you will get it right away in your dropbox. The native apps allows you to also have several other feedback like real time notifications and keep a session always open.

Dropbox allows you to have a local folder too, so in case you want to work offline you are also able to do it.

One other plus, the support team, I contacted them because I had a problem to sign in into my account and they were able to solve my problem in minutes, I was expecting the always we will reply back in 1 biz day, DropBox support team will help you right away.

Cons: If you don't pay attention to the files you have in your local storage it can easily drain your hard drive space dry, there is no automation for removing large file or not often opened files, when you are collaborating on a folder it will just sits there in your local machine. It would be great if you could setup settings like, automatically remove files I haven't use in X time, or do not load files larger than X megabytes.

Overall: Cloud Storage as its best, forget about zipping, emailing, uploading to whatever hosting site your files, the best way to keep your files in the cloud is DropBox.

Pros: My team uses Dropbox Business to sync files across devices and share documents both amongst ourselves and with external audiences. The tight integration with the Finder on Mac means we can treat our Dropbox folders as our default file storage location and not worry about what is or isn't being synced. The 2TB of storage is more than many people even have on their computer to begin with, so we never worry about running out of space. One of my favorite features is the ability to save, by default, all your screenshots to Dropbox. As a result, when I capture something on my screen, it automatically gets saved to the cloud and saves the link to my clipboard. So my workflow of sharing a screenshot is super quick. I also love the ability to selectively sync certain files. That's great for large video files that I want to have access to without taking up space on my laptop's limited hard drive. The granular controls for sharing certain files and folders also makes collaboration a breeze. We deal with a lot of creative assets like logos, color palettes, etc., and sharing a single folder with all of that stuff is one of our favorite features.

Cons: The various types of licenses has really expanded in recent years, and led to some confusing tiers. I worry that they might be headed down a path similar to apps like Evernote where the developers fall victim to scope creep. For instance, Dropbox apps like Paper are interesting, but ultimately not too much more useful than other document collaboration apps like Google Drive (which also allows editing from non-business tier users).

Pros: It is a storage service in the cloud that offers an excellent option to share a folder at a time.

It offers applications for the most popular operating systems such as Windows, Linux among others and the possibility of synchronizing so that files are available on any device.

It offers the possibility to see the photos in an online gallery.

It allows us to obtain the download link of any file, share it or send it quickly to other users or simply copy it.

Their applications have very clean and tidy designs, they offer us the right thing and no more than that, they are fast and efficient, and they are free in all their versions.

It offers the possibility of using a virtual hard disk, it only requires an internet connection to be able to synchronize in other devices.

Share files without adding mail and invite people to shared folders, although they can only see and not edit anything.

Cons: If you stop using it for a long time approximately more than three months I will start to tell you that you have to log in to your account so that it passes the inactivity status and if you do not do it in a short time they will cancel the Dropbox account you had with them, that is to keep your servers updated and be able to free space in them. In the computers and in general in any device, only the files that are saved in the folder called My Dropbox, which is automatically created in our account, are synchronized, what is outside that folder is considered private.

Two people can not work in the same file because a copy of the same file is generated.

It does not have the ability to play audio or videos.

The free account can sometimes be very limited, you have to switch to a paid account.

It does not have an offline mode, which allows you to view and edit the files when you do not have an Internet connection, when other services do offer it.

Overall: The benefits that I have obtained from dropbox are good and many since it has served to keep most of my personal documents well protected and able to access them from anywhere in the world with only having an internet connection

Pros: To me, the best aspect of Dropbox is that it syncs very quickly and consistently. I never have to wonder if it did or didn't sync my files or folders, which is a problem I've encountered with other apps. That, and it is simple enough to use that even the most computer illiterate people can usually figure it out. Just about everyone knows about it and has seen/used a Dropbox link before, so it makes life easier when trying to share files. The Pro plan (what I use) isn't a bargain, but for the reliability I'd say it's fair enough and worth paying for if you have the budget. It has built in video players, document and image viewers and audio players so that the person you're sharing with doesn't need an external application to view your file.

Cons: For Dropbox to be such a big company, I expect more options for managing and sharing my files, especially in the mobile app. Sometimes, it is very frustrating trying to figure out how to carry out a certain action, or worse, realizing there's no built in feature for that action at all. I'm not sure if this is Dropbox's way of trying to "dumb down" the application to try and simplify things for its users, but it sure would be nice for them to figure out how to strike a balance between usability and functionality. Also, it used to be easier to get a decent amount of storage with their sharing promos, but now the amount of storage available on free is outclassed by several other cloud apps, making it less appealing. They need an option between the free version and the Pro version for people who don't need more than 10 GB but not 1 TB of cloud storage.

Overall: Storing and syncing files I use frequently between my devices

Pros: It's super easy to use. Because it just appears like another folder on your computer, it's seamless. The online version pairs well with it, giving access to previous versions, the ability to restore deleted files (priceless!), and a relatively granular ability to share files and folders with pretty much anyone. The best thing overall is just knowing that all my files are safely backed up in the cloud. If anything goes wrong with my computer, I can sync up dropbox on another computer and be ready to go.

Cons: I have worked at two different companies where huge chunks of files disappeared from dropbox. In both cases we were told that it was our fault. In both cases it was the users "responsible" were the dropbox admins who weren't even working when it happened. In both cases, after some headaches and freakouts, the files were mostly restored. In the second case, though, not all the files were restored. The only way to tell what was missing was to log in to the web version, show deleted files, and look for the time stamp of when all the files were deleted. Then it was a matter of manually restoring those. We are still, over a year later, finding files that need to be manually restored.

The second issue I have with the software is the navigation flow of the online web site. I am someone who navigates primarily with a keyboard when browsing to folders. This is impossible online. If I click "s" to go to a folder that starts with that letter, dropbox jumps to the first folder with that letter and selects the checkbox next to it. I can't keep typing letters to get to the specific folder I want within the s's. I also then have to uncheck the box that dropbox automatically selected in order to get to the folder I do want. The previous design of their web site didn't do this and the update frustrates me at least several times every week.

Dropbox Business is fast, its UI is simple, it makes storing and sharing of your files seamlessly.

Pros: A big advantage for Dropbox Business is its ever growing API offerings, which supports a variety of programming languages and the technologies it integrates with.

Also Dropbox Business lets your organizations create custom integration that extend Dropbox to a wide range of applications and services.

Unlike other file storage options, Dropbox Business is fast, easy to navigate, and constantly evolving to improve its features.

You're able to seamlessly store and share large files, making it easy to collaborate on projects and work with employees regardless of your location.

There are a number of ways to log into Dropbox Business , including a desktop app, online access, or an app for your mobile device. That means you can view, edit and share any documents you need with whatever device is most convenient.

You gain peace of mind knowing that with files stored in Dropbox Business , hardware issues or other disasters will never compromise your data. Even if there's an issue with your in-office technology, you're able to keep on working and accessing whatever files you need.

Cons: Disadvantage of Dropbox Business. Slow tech support or lack of built-in editing, although Dropbox Paper has this feature to pick up the slack on that issue.

The bigger issue with Dropbox Business is that it is strictly a cloud service, with no support for on-premises or hybrid implementations. Organizations must rely completely on Dropbox to protect sensitive data and privacy. They have no control over the security model, when patches are applied, how encryption keys are stored, where data and metadata are stored or any other aspects of the infrastructure.

Organizations that consider Dropbox must weigh the security risks, while ensuring that the service can meet compliance regulations specific to the region where they do business. Dropbox stores all metadata in U.S. data centers, which may not be acceptable to organizations in other parts of the world.

Overall: Peace of mind knowing that Dropbox Business is in charge of my files.

Pros: Smart Sync allows you to to sync files on-demand. This allows you to see files in the folder(s) via Windows Explorer without actually having to download those files onto your hard drive, which is the difference between Smart Sync and the "less-premium" Selective Sync. This is essential if you are intending to utilize Dropbox as a true cloud server in the same way you might utilize a local file server. Without Smart Sync, if someone on your team (or shared folder) uploads or changes a bunch of files, then everyone starts downloading/syncing those files and it kills your internet speeds. OneDrive has this capability, but requires Windows 10. Google's G Suite just added this functionality as well.

Office 365 Integration/Badge is OK. It's not as good as utilizing OneDrive (which is included in O365) because it does not let you edit documents simultaneously in real-time. Multiple people can open a document at the same time, but you can only work in the document and save one-at-at-time. It at least notifies you that someone else is in the file.

Paper seems neat and you can add Slack integration so that's cool too.

Cons: I do not understand how they can charge so much for their Business plans. The only service being provided is document storage, so you have to compare it with MS OneDrive or Google Drive. Chances are, your MS or Google subscription includes OneDrive/Drive anyway so why would anyone want to pay extra for Dropbox? The only benefit is the on-demand syncing (OneDrive requires Windows 10), but you can get the same feature from Google Drive for half the price, as well as document-creating apps and simultaneous editing/collaboration (as opposed to simply being notified that someone else is currently editing the file, so wait your turn).

There is no way to create a file directly from the Dropbox web version...because there are no document-creating tools provided. OneDrive and Google Drive both allow you to create a new document directly from the web version of their services.

You cannot add tags or comments to a document. Both of which would help with organizing the document and finding it later.

The search feature is very basic. It would be nice to have some advanced search criteria (e.g. "pictures", "PDFs", date ranges, authors, owners, etc.)

You can only share folders among team members. The only way to share specific files is by using a URL, which then makes the file accessible to the entire world, so long as someone can guess the URL. If someone isn't on your team, they can only VIEW files (or you have to give URL access, opening it up to the entire world).

Overall: It's good for syncing files from one computer to another (e.g. work, home, mobile). I would not say it is good (or cost-effective) as a business cloud file storage service. Perhaps it is beneficial as a business's cloud backup of their local server.

Pros: I have lost so many files before this was available. I used to have backups, back up harddrives, back up raid systems, etc. They all failed at some point loosing thousands of files each time.

Now I put all my files in dropbox. It doesn't matter what computer I sit down at, my files are there. I will move computers at work 3-4 times in a day or switch between my laptop and ipad during a meeting. Doesn't matter, the files are there.

A coworker(boss) once deleted an entire folder with hundreds of documents! No problem, I logged into the website and brought them back to life and then changed the security to keep him out.

Once you install this software, you tell it where your files are and you don't generally have to mess with the website. The files are in a folder on your computer and you just use them as you need. When you go to another computer, they will be there too. Your friends will see them too(if you share).

Cons: Not a whole lot to complain about.

Those that have low computer skills get confused by it. If you share a file or folder, they must respond to the email and accept the share. Then it just shows up in their dropbox folders. Those that don't use it regularly in particular because they cant ever find their password. In the end, it is easier than email.

Every so often, I get a conflicted copy. I don't know why they happen sometimes and not others. You can actually have two people working on a doc at the same time with no problem. But, occasionally, it will make two versions. It is very difficult to figure out which one is the correct one when this happens.

Pros: I use Dropbox to back up my educational data for my business. Also to back up any applications/.exe files I downloaded. Pricing is simple, you pay about 100$/year for 1 terabyte. You pick the location of the folder. Most SSDs are limited to 1 terabyte max capacity and my music library, audiobooks, application files, documents and taxes all take up 360 gigabytes. That means it's plenty for personal use. I use a tablet to teach classes - I can selectively sync only the dropbox folders that contain my business documents so my presentations are always available to present. Combined with a manual monthly backup, dropbox is great. It has versioning history so if a file gets corrupted you can restore to an earlier copy. Dropbox works on Linux, Mac and Windows. Love the Linux support.

Cons: 1. Customer service. They try to save money and automate everything to provide low rates - understandable. I had added a new Linux computer and put the dropbox folder on an external drive. When I turned on the Linux computer without the extra drive, dropbox thought the whole folder had been deleted. It deleted all my files online and synced the deletion to my Windows desktop. It was a MESS! I could NOT manually restore more than 120 files so I had to ask for support. Dropbox support did NOT work on the weekend - they only restored the files on Monday. My problem occured on Friday. Terrible, terrible experience. But, since then, I've tried Spideroak and Google drive and dropbox is better than both. It's not perfect but it works - just use it carefully, especially on Linux. 2. Sharing folders with peers is pretty bad - you get multiple copies of the same folder. Some update, others don't. The sharing features in Google Drive are way better. Dropbox personal sucks for teamwork and sharing. I have not tried Dropbox Business - Business may perform better. There is also Box.net - this is a business focussed alternative that has been around far longer than dropbox and is supposed to perform much better. Were I not a single contractor, I would instead choose between Dropbox for Business or Box.net.

Pros: Dropbox is accessible from a web browser or in Windows Explorer. Files and directories are visible in Windows Explorer like other files and directories in other drives. Dropbox works just like any other folder on the computer but with a few differences. Any files or folders inside Dropbox will get synchronized to Dropbox's servers and any other computer linked to an account. Green check marks will appear next to the filename indicate that they're synced and up to date. Dropbox keeps track of every change made to any of its contents. Users will receive email notifications of changes made. It was easy to install Dropbox and easy to invite others to join as well. Since Dropbox is available on the web, files are accessible from anywhere, on any device, and share them with anyone. Save files on your computer, then access them on the phone from the road. Everything you keep in Dropbox is synced automatically to all devices. Save any kind of file in Dropbox, from photos, videos, and music to Microsoft Office and Adobe files.

Cons: Space if limited for free download. The free personal account starts with 2 GB only. You can earn more space through referrals (an additional 500MB for every friend who joins, up to 16GB) and other actions (linking with Twitter, enabling camera uploads, and so on). Still, most other file-syncing and storage programs give you more than 2GB to start. Paid personal plans, called Dropbox Pro, include 1TB of space for a monthly or yearly fee. One of the most important benefits of having a Pro account is that it includes priority support. If something goes wrong, you'll want help figuring out what it was and where your files went. Without priority support, it's nearly impossible to get someone from Dropbox to assist you in real time. You'll have to reach out by email, Web form, or Twitter for help. In addition to priority support, Pro users also get some neat file-sharing functionality, such as the ability to control when links to shared files expire. One gripe Dropbox users had in the past concerned access to old files, and the company now offers a neat upgrade that solves this problem. For an extra fee per month or per year, you can add Extended Version History, which keeps previous versions of your files and deleted files for one year without them counting toward your allotted space.

Overall: Very useful tool to share documents with people who have access to Dropbox, especially since our company doesn't have shared drives.

Pros: Dropbox really does take care of everything for me, it has features that are there when I need them but when I just need it to back up my computer it just chugs away in the background and keeps my files in sync across all my computers. The reversion feature (30 days it keeps all old copies of a file) has saved my life on more than a few occasions, and I'm confident enough in the automatic photo upload that I can delete photos from my phone weekly. Overall it really just lets me go about my day to day without worrying about my files, bad saves, etc. and it makes sharing files within the office a breeze. The mobile app is awesome as well as their file support for previews. You can even preview photoshop and illustrator files now, which is a godsend. Other vendors (box, google drive, copy) have terrible clients (desktop and mobile) which take forever to upload and sync, enough so that I do not trust them with my files. Only Dropbox has been good enough. Even though they may cost more for their service I'm willing to pay it, happy even. My files and my company's files are my life and Dropbox lets me not have to worry about that.

Cons: Upset that they've cancelled Mailbox and carousel but besides that I'm pretty happy. I gladly pay them yearly. I think the selective sync options could be easier to set up with a more intuitive UI, and I also wish the reversion options were in the desktop app and not buried in the web interface. As well the recent files in the desktop app could go farther back in time and I think the "pack rat" option should be included in all free plans because storage is so cheap now.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't bother testing everyone out, I did it for you. Go with Dropbox, get the trial, see how well it works and you'll soon find yourself backing up all your files like I do. The day all my free storage ran out I started paying and never debated stopping. Box's photo uploads were non existant, drive's desktop clients failed often and didn't upload all my folders, and copy was super slow. Dropbox just does everything right and makes it so I don't have to think or worry.

Pros: Cost - There is a free plan available, with no hidden charges leaping out at users at any time. Capacity - Users are given 2 GB of storage capacity. This may not seem like much, but it is certainly plenty to start off with. Adding storage is also possible - and without incurring charges. Users have a whole array of free options to increase their storage capacity, including, among others: Invite friends/ acquaintances to Dropbox Connect Dropbox to Facebook/ Twitter Send Fan mails Convenience - Extremely easy to use, Dropbox can either be used online or by installing the Dropbox application. This is quick, easy to do and allows automatic saving/ synchronisation of files between devices (which should also have the application installed) without having to use a browser. Accessibility - With the app installed, it is possible to access files from wherever I am, any time on any device, even if offline at the time (the Dropbox folders on all devices are updated automatically every time a file is saved). I am able to download only required files in order to save space. Sharing - I can share files with other individuals or public by designating folders to specific users or enabling them for public sharing. Back-up - Dropbox is a convenient solution to backing up files in a safe and easy to access fashion. By storing files in the cloud, data sticks, CDs, DVDs and other easily lost or damaged storage devices - and the cost involved - become a thing of the past. What's more, deleting files accidentally will not result in losing them, because Dropbox keeps easy to retrieve copies of all deleted files for 30 days. - The upcoming Dropbox Paper.

Cons: The paid plans are expensive compared to other cloud services. Dropbox is not as effective for collaborative work as rivals such as Google Docs or Microsoft Office 365. If changes are made to an online spreadsheet file, the first person to finish wins and the competing changes are saved to a separate file. Security concerns arise when storing important and sensitive data on Dropbox.

Recommendations to other buyers: The main advantage of Dropbox is that it is completely free. There are no upfront charges or any additional charges once you start using the service. When you register for a Dropbox account, you automatically get 2 gigabytes (GB) of storage space. This is a good amount of storage space. However, there are methods that you can use to increase the space without paying a single cent. These methods include sending fan mail about Dropbox, connecting your Dropbox to social media as well as inviting family, friends and other people to join Dropbox. Dropbox is extremely convenient. It is easy to use and one can learn how to use it very quickly. You can access Dropbox by connecting to the Internet. On the other hand, you can simply download the application on your smart devices and your computer. Thus, you can simply open the application and upload or download files. Dropbox is designed such that you will be able to access the latest version of every file. As such, if you update a document using your smart-phone, you can download the same updated document using your computer. By using the application, you bypass the need for a browser. You can share files using Dropbox. To accomplish this, all that you need to do is place the files in a folder that is designated for sharing with specified users or the general public. In addition to this, Dropbox is an ideal platform for backing up information. This means that if your computer crashes or your smart-phone is lost, you can easily use Dropbox to access all the files that were in them. This saves you a headache. BUT, If you are looking for doing collaborative work, look elsewhere.

Pros: We use Dropbox Business at work in order for us to neatly categorize each project or each searches or openings we are recruiting for. Dropbox Business makes it easy for us to know which candidate or client is in process for a certain project or search. It makes project management easy for us by being orderly.

Dropbox Business is also the reason why it is easy for us to collaborate within our team in managing a certain project. For a person who is working in a company that is evenly spread all around the world, Dropbox Business helps us collaborate and practice team work in doing our project management tasks. It is a great office-wide file sharing platform that let's everyone in the project edit presentations, and check each presentations real-time.

Cons: The only thing I least like about Dropbox Business is that when two people are doing edits at the same time for a single presentation we get conflicted copies. I hope Dropbox Business up their game by resolving this error. Instead of having a conflicted copy, I hope the 2nd person who opens the presentation gets a prompt beforehand so that he can get the attention of who anyone is opening the same file.

Overall: Dropbox Business is very helpful in categorizing all of the projects that you have. It also makes it easy for us to collaborate especially if you are working with team members who are not based in the same location.

Dropbox Business makes it easy for everyone to access and upload such files as well because you can open it using a downloaded app, and even on its web version.

Pros: What can I saw about Dropbox. In my private practice I have been using Dropbox for about 2 years. But, prior to my own practice, I have used it at other law firms and have had the personal free account as well. Its very easy to use. Create folders, within folders, and drag and drop documents into Dropbox. In my own practice, Dropbox for business is where I store all my client files. In addition, in my employment based immigration practice, Dropbox comes in handy when I need documentation from clients to prepare employment based petitions. Sending an email from Dropbox to the client or beneficiary allows them to easily collaborate with me in a particular folder. Dropbox is very easy to use and clearly has increased my productivity as my files are available to me 24/7 and anywhere in the world. Most importantly I love the mobile app where I can look up on my phone a document that I stored and forward it via email to my client. I do not need to be in front of a computer to use Dropbox. I can use it anywhere.

Cons: There have been some glitches here in there. But, their technical staff has been very helpful in correcting issues and providing alternate means for my clients to collaborate with me on particular files in the cloud. I do not have anything that I do not like about the software solution.

Overall: It has increased my productivity and allows me to collaborate and work with clients with ease, any where in the world.

Pros: Everything syncs up quickly. There's no delay other than the time it takes to upload and download a file, which is quick for the small files that are generally used on Dropbox.

I love the user management interface, and you can see who is working on which documents. You have audit trails of activity on the files. If something gets deleted, you can find out when and by whom.

It also has a file recovery feature, so if something is saved over or deleted you can get it back. It's not indefinite, but they give you a few months to get your files back if you notice them missing or changed.

This is nice with ransomware too, because if you do get ransomware you can restore a previous version of the file.

Cons: There have been news stories about hacks affecting Dropbox, so I do wonder about its security. This is the one thing that keeps me from outwardly recommending it to everyone. There are other options out there for file syncing and sharing, which don't have the history of hacks.

Customer service isn't very good either. I've only had to call once, but I got transferred to a tech who seemed like he didn't know as much as I did about the product. That's only one experience though, I haven't had to call support on Dropbox more than once.

Overall: Easy file syncing, HIPAA compliance, and reportability for user activity on business files. Ability to restore previous versions of files in case they have been saved over. It's pretty good software.

Pros: Easy access to files

Simple sharing via links or shared folders

Unlimited undelete and versioning

Selectable sync so I don't have to download everything to all the computers I use

Cons: Upload speed needs to be automatically managed so it doesn't choke modems out

Overall: We use Dropbox Business as our primary file storage solution at our church. We have an account for all staff. It makes it incredibly easy to access the files we need from any location. Sharing links couldn't be simpler. I also use the iPhone app to capture receipts on the go.

One thing to keep in mind is the need to upload anything you're going to store/use in Dropbox. Large files can take a while depending on the speed of your Internet connection. I also have to throttle the upload speeds on everyone's Dropbox app or it chokes our cable modem and crashes our connection. This is a problem I really with they could fix. There's something about the "automatic" upload speed management that just doesn't work for us. Whenever our Internet goes down, I can usually trace it to someone uploading a video or other large file on an unthrottled connection.

That being said, it's my only significant gripe. Their customer service has been fantastic. And their policy of giving as much storage as we need makes me more than happy to pay their price. We pay per user, knowing that as our storage needs grow, our fee will only grow when we add users to the account.

Dropbox Business also includes unlimited versioning and undelete. This has saved my bacon multiple times. Make a change to a file you aren't happy with? Go online and restore a previous version! Someone delete one of your files from a shared folder? No more tracking them down to get it back. Just go online and use the undelete feature.

Pros: - Great easy to use cloud based storage that has apps for almost every platform. This means you can get it almost everywhere - Dropbox makes adding documents to folders much easier than other cloud platforms. While things like uploading, creating and sharing files is common among cloud storage apps, Dropbox makes it easy to sync documents and store and share documents with true drag and drop. - The ability to connect to different applications and use Dropbox as a storage place is a win for me, as I keep my most important backups here. - Dropbox works nice with many apps I already use, which means I don't have to sign up to another cloud service, I can just connect my Dropbox account and everything will sync and work! I use it to add attachments to my Gmail, share passwords on 1Password and more. Having used Dropbox for many years now, it is easy to say that is one of my top 2 cloud storage options.

Cons: - Storage on personal accounts is a bit limited and upgrading can be somewhat expensive compared to other services. - While Dropbox is great for storage, you cannot edit files in the cloud outside of deleting and moving them. With other cloud providers, you can open files, view them and edit right from the cloud. - Dropbox does not allow users to encrypt files that are stored. This means that if your account is hacked or stolen, your files can be exposed.

Comments: Overall, DropBox is a create tool for anyone needing a central online storage repository for their files. The amount of storage that you get won't be enough to back up all your photos and videos, but it will function very well as document storage that you access from any device.

Pros: DropBox is very easy to use. The process to obtain an account and start saving files is seamless. The DropBox folder shows up automatically from File Explorer, so that you can manipulate files there or online. DropBox is also totally compatible with Microsoft applications, so when you open an Excel document, it opens in Excel (this is not true in Google Drive). The interface to use DropBox is very friendly and they are a well-established company.

Cons: The only con that I have for DropBox is the small amount of memory that they start you out with. You are able to build this amount by adding access for people to your files, and other tasks that build storage. But it feels like a game. Our non-profit group used DropBox for our central file location, but we started having trouble with people not being able to access the files because they didn't have enough storage space. This was happening for two reasons 1) they either had access to so many organization files that it used all their space; or 2) since they were using their personal email account for their DropBox account, their personal files in combination with the organization's folders exceeded their storage amount. To remedy this, we are encouraging people to create an additional dedicated email to use for the DropBox account to use JUST FOR our organizations files. We also decided to move to Google Drive because they start you out with a considerably higher amount of storage. (BUT, you run into weirdness opening Microsoft apps directly from Google Drive, which is frustrating).

Dropbox is one of the best business tools I've used for file storage, sharing, and collaboration.

Pros: I love the flexibility of the program. I can literally setup and organize files in any way I need. There is no set template to restrict how we want it arranged. I also love the ease of use: this is one of the easiest cloud storage programs I've ever used. Upon first setup, we used the free, basic version, but very quickly chose to upgrade to a greater amount of space. At no time have I ever felt the need to contact customer service due to having trouble using the software. I have Dropbox installed on every device I use (including my tablet and mobile phone), and the experience is seamless every time. Dropbox is even easy to use for coworkers who are not computer savvy, and they appreciate that it isn't very complicated. One particular feature I appreciate is the photo view. We often share large format photos between coworkers and various vendors. The viewer in Dropbox always gives a clear, large picture in high resolution, and the pictures typically don't take forever to load.

Cons: The desktop app: it will glitch at times, particularly if there is an update. It seems to get hung up on itself on occasion, but a simple restart usually restores the app to full use. There are also times when the Dropbox team will push an update through, and the PC app will be unavailable for a time, or it will get stuck in a loop. I have had the experience of receiving a notification that it was preparing and installing an update... I got that same message for 3 days. In this instance, I found that I had to uninstall and reinstall the PC app. But when reinstalled the software, it worked just fine and easily connected to my account without any issue.

Pros: I am the assistnt tot a real estate agent, and Dropbox has truly allowed us to take our business mobile. Prior to using Dropbox, we had large file folders full of paperwork that my boss carried around in her car with her. If I needed access to any of the files, she would need to scan and email them to me. Once I implemented Dropbox, we immediately saw results. We spent less time trying to navigate and negotiate hard copy files, and more time acquiring new business. Between implementing Dropbox and a digital signature program, we saw an amazing increase in our efficiency and we were able to do more deals in less time.

Cons: One of the things I dislike is how Dropbox will not save my bosses login information on her iPhone. It may be user error, however it is a bit clunky to have to enter login information every time she needs to view files. Also, with the app it is hard to see complete file names. This becomes a problem for us, especially because we start out the name of each file with the address of the property. As a result, the rest of the file name is cut off and it is hard to find what we need.

Overall: Dropbox have revolutionized the way we do business. We have been able to not only streamline our business practices, but we are saving hundreds of dollars in ink and paper costs, not to mention using much less paper, which is better for the environment.

Pros: Dropbox is great as a sharing and source of truth tool, where the live or 'up to date' version of documents can be stored and shared easily. As an archive of reference point for projects, learning resources, or other documents, Dropbox does the job.

Cons: Syncing is painful - when other people upload videos it can slow the internet down for everyone in the office. Laptop storage also diminishes quickly even if we select which folders to sync, because *new* folders are added and sync automatically.

Also - what's good about Dropbox is also what's bad about it - it's great for static sharing, but not for collaborating. Collaborating on last-minute presentations through Dropbox led to painful conflicts and clashes.

My employer got google business email and the G suite with it, and we've now started using google docs/slides etc. because they're great for real-time collaborating - but we're still using Dropbox for static-document storage because the online-only Drive storage is messy.

We're now at the point where - I think - as soon as someone suggests that we use Drive on our desktops instead of Dropbox, we'll be dropping Dropbox altogether. I'd rather Dropbox because I'm averse to big tech and monopolies - but the email and real-time collaborating has meant Google will likely win my employer (and me, reluctantly,) over.

Comments: Today, there are a lot of cloud based file sharing: Box.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, etc. Among them, Dropbox is one of the common cloud based file sharing vendors. Like most cloud storage tools, it's not designed to backup your hard drive. While you can use it for that purpose to an extent, a dedicated online backup tool works much better. Dropbox works by letting you copy files to a network of remote servers, which lets you access them from different devices and save hard drive space. You can upload files by moving them into a special file system folder called a sync folder. You can also upload them by logging into Dropbox through a supported browser or the Dropbox mobile app.

Pros: Cloud based storage and easy to collaborate with others. Easy to use graphical interface. Ease of sharing files and folders. Its data are stored in cloud therefore, it is easily accessible from anywhere as long as Internet access is available. It can handle files and folders very deep. The speed is also very efficient such as uploading/downloading the files and folders from the Cloud.

Cons: Although it offers three different types of services, it is very pricey. The security is essential given the cloud based. The business version has a lot more security than the consumer version. There is no encryption feature. With today's cloud based, security is a must. The support level is not as great as other enterprise level class cloud based software.

Pros: Above all Dropbox does just what it was designed to do: sync files. With the addition of the ability to do a on-demand sync the functionality is really just what you need. It does a great job of making files available on the move, re-syncing causes very little duplication, it just works and you don't have to think too much about it.

That said, when you do want to think more about it you really have a lot of options to control access to files, to share with others, to limit how users in your enterprise can share with others, really the whole thing. I can't think of an important function of file management and sharing that the software didn't give us.

Cons: All of that said, the lack of customer service and the onerous contract terms for a small business means that I can't recommend this solution.

But, and it is a big but, once we got up and running we began to have issues with users (at the time who were using Windows 7) began to have issues with the Dropbox application folder (not the data being sync'd but the actual install folder) taking up the whole hard disk on their laptops.

Overall: Dropbox does a great job of syncing files, and if many of your users have multiple computers (laptop for travel, developer workstations, etc) then it might have some advantages over another solution that does the same things.

Pros: It is one of the first storage systems that became popular in the cloud.

It is simple and functional, providing you in free version 2.5 gb of storage capacity in the free version of the service and offers you options to get free space, either inviting others to use dropbox, sharing folders and others.

It offers you the option to download the dropbox application on your computer, but it is not mandatory, you can use the software through your computer or from any device that is linked to your dropbox account, which you can also link to your Google account. This helps you save space on your hard drive.

It allows to share documents, photos and other in direct formats that you can order in folders and share with other people to whom you can give you the opportunity to edit the content.

it allows you to create personal accounts, but you can also create an account to manage and organize work files.

Cons: Initially 2 GB of storage were sufficient, currently it is a limited space.

The rate to go up in category and get more space is expensive compared to other file storage services, such as google drive.

You must have an internet connection to use the service.

Although it allows another person to edit the document, several people can not work at the same time in the same document because copies of the file are created.

Overall: It helps to have your files organized, it is a very simple and easy to use platform. In addition, it allows you to obtain the download link of any file, share it or send it quickly to other users or simply copy it.

Have very clean and tidy designs, they offer us the right thing and no more than that, they are fast and efficient, and they are free in all their versions

Pros: I would give up just about any other piece of software I own/use before I would give up Dropbox. It is the glue that holds my digital life together. And it's best feature? One you set it up, you never even have to really think about it again! My main documents folder is in my Dropbox folder, so every file I could ever possibly want or need is automatically backed up and synced, without me ever having to do anything or think about it. So when I leave the office mid-way through an Excel file I'm working on, I can open it up and keep working from home on a different computer without skipping a beat. That functionality is priceless to me.

I'll mention one other feature that has saved my bacon numerous times: version history. Have you ever had the experience where you open one file to use as a template for a new project, and then after working on it for awhile, you hit save and realize you've inadvertently overwritten the original file? I certainly have. In that scenario (or many other similar), I now simply open up version history in Dropbox and restore the older version of the file.

Cons: I hate saying "nothing" for these types of questions, but I can honestly think of no pain points in my use of this software.

Pros: Dropbox is a good application to store information in the cloud as: photos, audios, Word, Excel, PDF files and many more ...

The good thing about Dropbox is that we can have it in our smartfone and the laptop has a great coverage of devices and we can synchronize several devices with a single account. So, if we take a picture with our phone, we can automatically see it on the computer from our Dropbox application.

Dopbox is a very secure application that can configure several security patterns and configure it with a phone number to access the account.

This could be very useful to transfer files safely and have a backup of all our information in the cloud for free.

also with its application in android and ios helps us to visualize documents without problems, we can open Word, PDF, PowerPoint ... without needing another application

Cons: Dropbox is a very good app would be hard to see something negative, but. Dropbox gives us a free plan with a gigabyte (GB) limit. if you want to store a lot of information or several archives that consume many GB as audios and videos. you would have to buy a plan that gives us more GB or TerasByte and this could be expensive

Overall: very good cloud storage software in a secure way perfect for backups and file transfers

Pros: Secure ready to set up two variables of validation. Probability to store distinctive sorts of records on the web. Possessed the capacity to get to my documents from any area with having to physically convey them. Forming highlight enables me to backpedal and see changes or analyze content. Capacity to reestablish erased records. Offer particular records or envelopes with particular clients. Incorporation with different applications enables me to keep an online reinforcement of substance. Consequently spares screen captures of my PC. Reinforcement pictures taken with my telephone. Stage is exceptionally helpful to review, share, or alter online Microsoft Office documents. Open windows document pioneer from web form. Enable distinctive levels of authorizations to client for a similar record or envelope. Ready to work at the same time on a document.

Overall: There's truly no drawback to utilizing Dropbox. It's what might as well be called filesharing on a multi-PC system and utilizing WeTransfer. Endeavoring to resize records for sending through email is a colossal issue, and utilizing sites like WeTransfer come up short based off the quality of your web association since they depend on transferring and quickly sending, rather than simply transferring and holding up until the point that the other party chooses to download.

Pros: I work at an Executive Search Firm that is handling both permanent and freelance placements. We get roughly 10+ searches in a month. I started here three years ago, and since then we've been using DropBox to help us synchronize all candidate interview notes, project details files, client presentation materials, and training modules.

Dropbox made it easy for us to be on-point on all the recent updates regarding all the files we save on a single project folder. It also provides us the time when it was updated and who updated it.

If it is accidentally deleted, there is an option to retrieve it as well, so it removes the worry of missing or deleting files.

Dropbox made it easy for us to avoid cracks along the way and be abreast with all the project details even if my team is working from different regions and you can easily access it at home, in a cafe, hotel, in a cab or everywhere as long as you have a good internet connection.

Cons: The only thing I least like with Dropbox is that whenever I edit it, and someone forgot to close the file, we get conflicted copies.

Overall: All good, and I am just bothered with the conflicted copies whenever someone is simultaneously editing the file with me or someone forgot to close the file and then I open it.

Pros: This service has file sharing down to a science. The web interface gives you access to your files from any where and they have sync clients that work on all major operating systems. They file sync does not seem to have any limitations like you can't have certain punctuation in filenames like One Drive does. It allows you to manage the connection totally as well limiting bandwidth and selectively syncing certain folders only on certain computers. They also have integrations with a number of apps out there to serve as storage and a backup and sync location for settings and data. The photo albums feature is great as well allowing you to share pictures with family and friends with a few clicks. and sharing a file is as quick as a right click and then pasting a link. The value for the money is great. Support is wonderful to work with as well they are more than competent and are quite courteous to boot. You can't go wrong with Dropbox!

Cons: You have to ask for your unlimited storage in 5 TB chunks. Technically they allow for 1TB per user in the business account but they will increase it beyond this limit if you ask support on a case by case basis.

Overall: A total file sharing solution. No limitations. no compromises. it just works.

Pros: I love Dropbox Business because of how easy to use it is. You can save important files to the cloud just by placing them on the proper folder on your own PC. Files will upload to the cloud automatically. No need for you to make additional steps from what you would normally do working locally at home. But by saving to dropbox you know you will have access to your files from any location and if something happens to your main computer, you don't need to worry, your files will be secured on your dropbox account. This features combined with the possibility to access previous versions of your files is what makes dropbox hugely convenient for work.

Cons: We have been enjoying Dropbox Business on our company since a couple of years now. Only one time we had an issue where one employee deleted several files by mistake and the files were deleted from all of our dropbox folders automatically. Luckily we were able to recover the files one by one, but it would be a nice to have a feature that ask you before deleting important files to avoid scenarios like this.

Overall: Dropbox Business allows us to save and share files easily. Gives you the opportunity to acces files from any locations, access previous versions of your documents and work collaboratively with your team.

Pros: A lot of people use Dropbox, it is the best way to store files and to share them, it is just simple.

You can store everything you need for your personal use and now with Dropbox Business you can also store everything your business needs.

We have to work with others, and that work sometimes requires files to be shared. Be it in an office or if you are a remote worker.

Dropbox allows for everyone to have the same version of the file and to be able to know what everyone is talking about (with files, images, videos).

It helps you share what you want with who you want, easy ways of sharing, and it integrates with your computer system so it is very easy to use.

Cons: You have to be very careful when you delete files (for example when moving computers or when one computer is running out of memory) because it will delete what you delete from all the places where you are synching.

It is not a big deal because they will still have the files to recover them if you do it within 30 days of deletion.

But it is best to keep that in mind.

Selecting what to sync (which folders) is probably the least favorite part, it should be easier.

Overall: you get everything everywhere, you can share with your team, and you can back up what you need.

Comments: Dropbox was one of the very first cloud-syncing solutions in the market and has managed to stay relevant despite strong competition from the likes of Google, Microsoft and many more. It was even almost sold to Apple once. But, it has shown little or no progress in many years since its interface, applications, and services have stayed invariable in many fronts. Making it a possible candidate for irrelevance in the near future. Still, performance and ease of use make Dropbox a great competitor in the cloud-syncing competition. If you are using OneDrive, Google Drive (Now Called Backup and Sync) or Amazon Drive, there might be little to no reason to switch to Dropbox. As expected, business users get a more solid experience and better performance than free users. But, if you are a free user, you might feel tempted by the referral program that allows you to get free space by referring people to Dropbox. 1TB plans start per month for individuals and for 3TB for teams that need the collaboration features. Dropbox has tried to innovate in some areas as email in the past but then they stopped trying. Maybe is the time they start innovating again to stay in the race.

Pros: Well-designed interface Strong security features Available for all desktop and mobile platforms Easy to setup

Cons: A bit more expensive than the rest Storage plans start at 1TB when most begin at 100GB Little or no innovation for some time now No backup oriented solution available as most sync only applications

Pros: Dropbox is very easy to set up and works seamlessly when integrated as a folder right on your desktop/document. The online version is useful as well since it has version controls and also let users delete unwanted copies or shares a download link. Overall, the main benefit is having a cloud backup of all your files since I can always sync and retrieve files if anything goes wrong!

Cons: It is a bit pricey compared to other solutions such as Google Drive. Dropbox is one of the first in the cloud storage industry but it seems they recently lack any amazing or innovating features. Syncing sometimes may not work for strange reasons, especially on newly set up machine. If you have a lot of data (in TB), sometimes it will take forever to download and sync. Navigation flow of the online version is also a bit unintuitive and requires a lot of mouse clicks than necessary. Finally, it's not the best tool for real-time collaboration since multiple editing the same files will create a lot of conflicted copies.

Overall: Despite its cons, I still think Dropbox Business is the one of the best drive that is out there especially for international business where team members spread around the globe. There's a reason many of the big tech companies like Facebook is using Dropbox.

Pros: One of the things I like most about Dropbox is that they give you 2GB free cloud storage for free and when you refer your friends, you get an additional 500 MB free storage. You only pay when you need more storage space. How awesome is that?

Another thing I like about Dropbox is the sync fast speed. Compared to the other cloud storage options, Dropbox is the fastest.

Dropbox also allows you to have shared folders with your colleagues and friends for collaboration in projects. The process of sharing files and folders is also pretty straight forward.

Cons:

The one thing I don't like about Dropbox is the fact that it's not easy to collaborate on one document at the same time. When you work on the same document with someone else, it creates conflicted copies, making it difficult to determine which one is the right document. This has happened several times to me when working on the same document with my colleagues and I wish Dropbox would come up with a solution to this. It was so frustrating that it forced us to move to Google drive. Currently we only use Dropbox for file storing final documents and not for collaboration.

Overall: Good cloud storage option but not good for collaboration.

Pros: I've used Dropbox Business for more than 2 years now. We use it to categorize work files per project and client. What I like about this software is that it helps us collaborate team-wide in finishing a certain project presentation or file. My team members are based out of different locations in the world, and in order for us to collaborate and do edits to presentations real-time we need to use Dropbox Business, and it did not fail us.

We were able to edit presentations real-time. We were able to collaborate to other team members all around the globe despite of the time difference because of Dropbox Business.

You also need not to download the app especially if you are just using a new device because you can also save using the web version.

Cons: What I least like about Dropbox Business is that when someone is editing the presentation such as the PowerPoint or Word ones, it creates a conflicting copy. I hope Dropbox Business can resolve that issue.

Overall: Dropbox Business is the best application out there that helps every organization in file sharing and project management collaboration.

Dropbox Business also helps us to do project management stuff even when we are out of the office or when we are working remotely.

Pros: Simple. Well-designed (UI, aesthetics, etc...). Great support. Easy for to teach to others. Well-integrated with other Dropbox users especially for ones inside your organization.

Cons: Pricey for the market. Lacks any amazing/differentiating features. Can be annoying to understanding its syncing rules at times (especially if you're trying to run off the cloud with a team), and this can be especially annoying when trying to get set up on a new machine. If you have terabytes of data, and you reformat your computer and are getting things set up, it takes forever to download stuff. It'd be nice to be able to keep an offline copy and more easily use that to seed your need system, but it never seems to work like it should.

Overall: I think DropBox started as a great service, and sadly  they really haven't gotten any worse. The problem is... they don't get better! As more and more solutions enter the market, it seems like Dropbox has grown stale. Additionally, their pricing is as steep as any other in the market, so it's harder and harder to justify sticking with them. I keep holding on for a game-changing feature, but I just don't think it's coming. Overall, it's a good service; it's definitely reliable. However, it lacks kick-butt features to justify the increased cost for the business side.

Recommendations to other buyers: This is still a good software. Go into with reasonable expectations, and you'll be happy. Just don't expect to be blown away. However, if you're going to pay the premium the Dropbox Business costs, it at least behoves you to check newer computers, like Google, Box, etc...

Pros: I started using Dropbox to save my research work at the university. After learning its value I started using it to save all my work. It is a great piece of software that lets you save your work anywhere you are. It is easy to use. I have installed in at home, work and in my mobile. I can simply access all my data where ever I am. It is great that I do not need internet access to save files. It will auto sync whenever you are connect to the internet. Dropbox Business has a faster upload and download speed than the free version. I would recommend Dropbox Business for any professional as well as students. Once you are synced, you will not use any external hard drives/thumb drives to carry your data.

Cons: I sometimes find that when two people work on the same file it gets confusing and in some occasions I have lost files not being able to revert to a previous saved file. I would also like to have the capability to connect more than two dropbox accounts together and switch between them.

Overall: Since using Dropbox Business I always travel light. I do not have to carry external hard drives when I travel. I simply save my work from home and access it from work or using my mobile. It is simple to use and also reliable.

Pros: Because Dropbox is one of the first, everyone already has an account. When you share a folder to someone, the are very likely to already have a Dropbox account they are using. They know how to use it, and it won't need too much of your time. The Camera Uploads is very useful. When I'm on the road, I take pictures, and I know that my Wife will receive it within minutes after, and share it if needed. I don't take notes anymore, I just take pictures of the information, and it's going (sync) on all my computer, Bang! Dropbox has the best sync algorithm. Fast, and always accurate!

Cons: I think that the quota sharing is not fair. I own a very large account, with a lot of space. I use it all the time, from Camera Uploads to Files Backup. When I start a project with colleague, or go for a trip or a family reunion, I like to create a folder and share it to all people involved. Because a lot of those people are not using a paid version of Dropbox, and because the disk quota is not "shared" like copy.com, or "owned" like box.com, if the folder is larger than the free space of someone, it will fill his account, and can't use it anymore. I already pay big price to have a lot of space, why can't I share what I want? Also, you can't edit/create files like Google Drive or OneDrive. Camera Uploads wont delete the file from my phone after uploading it... need to do manual cleaning.

Recommendations to other buyers: Recommendations should be based on needs. If you want to share the files with people who don't have the same needs, look at other options. If you are using it for yourself, it's the more powerful sync tool ever. You won't waste any effort or lose (wait for) stuff.

Comments: I've been using Dropbox since they first came out and they have continuously upgraded and advanced their services to make sure that they are up to par and offering tools to enhance the cloud experience. For a while, there were some dropped files and glitches, but I stayed through the tough parts and now am completely satisfied with continued serviced from Dropbox. I keep everything I own in my Dropbox and can access it anywhere I go from my phone or other mobile device or computer. I can easily save photos or any documents from my phone into Dropbox and even some websites where I purchase creative content automatically syncs to Dropbox. I cannot say enough about the peace of mind and security of having it. I completely avoid sending attachments in emails now and simply share links with clients. Not only does this save my email box, but it helps my clients understand the importance of files size and sharing.

Pros: Dependable service and access to files. I don't have to keep my entire file library on my computer - I can simply adjust my sync settings so that my movies and such stay in the cloud only and I can access them via the web. I can also share limited links.

Cons: Sometimes in a browser, when previewing a jpg or pdf, the coloring is off. But that's not a concern so much because I always tells clients to download the entire file.

Recommendations to other buyers: Do it. It's clean and simple and everyone is doing it.

Pros: Dropbox allows you to interact with your networked files like they're just part of your computer directory, and has built-in functionality to ensure sharing files goes smoothly. Version history, delete local versus deleting for all, the "badge" which shows you when others are using or viewing the same file - all excellently useful features that just make it easy and intuitive.

Cons: Even though version history is great, it is not all that it could be. You have to access your file's version history on the website; there's no way to do it through the program itself. You have to sign in, which is irritating if you don't use a password manager or anything of the sort. The entirety of the program's functionality seems to exist invisibly aside from the toolbar icon and shell commands, which is nice in some senses, but not in others, i.e. the inability to see version history on your desktop.

Overall: The expanded storage is fantastic and I find it to be more than I need. Of the 10 people contributing to the folders I use, we've only filled up 10% of our 1 TB space. Compared to the leading competitors, it's just generally more intuitive and encounters fewer problems. It's been a near perfect file sharing solution for my team for 4 years.

Pros: What I like most about Dropbox Business is that it is a cloud-based product, which means, the user can access it anytime, anyplace, provided he/she has good Internet connection. Two, Dropbox Business has the storage and sharing features, and this fosters communication in an organization.

Cons: What I dislike most about Dropbox Business is that it is too basic, with very ordinary features and functions, unlike with their competitors. I though the vendor understands the dynamics of the current business world and upper her game. Again, their subscription fee is very high, contrary to its functionality. Lastly, the application has an unfriendly user interface, and this may put of the user. Dropbox Business need to get up and face the ever thriving customers' needs!!!

Overall: I think I over-expected from this product. Little did I know it will only assist as with the basic functions; storage and sharing. i thought it was a full package like that of Microsoft or Google. Its advertisement is far much exaggerated compared with how it performs its roles. Beside, Dropbox Business is extremely expensive, unlike with other products such as one drive. I think Dropbox Business vendor either relaxed, or doesn't conduct a continuous market assessment to learn the needs of the users.

Pros: At the moment, the photography company I'm working at uses Dropbox to backup all files, including RAW image files which can become very large once we are talking about hundreds and thousands of them. This is a great way to rest assured that nothing is going to happen to a backup disc (they can fail, be caught in a house fire, be stolen, you name it!) as all the images will always be in the cloud.

The system we use to back them up is very simple too. Photographers dump the files into a specific server folder, and it synchronizes automatically with Dropbox without us having to take any extra steps. So that's also a plus. Whenever I use it to share image folders with clients, I can drag and drop files around, which I love. F

Cons: I tried using Dropbox for other documents besides image files but I did not like its functionalities. For Excel spreadsheets, for example, I like the way other file sharing apps handle them better, such as Google Drive. With Dropbox, I lost track of shared files and the changes done to them because a new version would be saved by the program every time.

Overall: Using it to backup images and share lengthy files with clients.

Pros: I love that I can easily share projects I'm working on, photos, and documents in one organized app with multiple people and groups. No need for multiple apps or programs to share and edit info with others. Dropbox is not only a cloud file store, it still has many useful features. Dropbox is also very reliable file storage with it you can not be afraid for the security of your files. I use this program, both in everyday life for personal files and on a work. I like the fact that I can create a document on a work drop it in Dropbox folder, and then come home and already continue to work with it, because synchronization happens instantly. A handy program for people who work on several computers or other devices. I did not immediately learn about the option "Screenshots" in the program, maybe someone will be useful. In the settings of Dropbox, there is this option you click on the keyboard button PrintScreen and the screenshot is automatically saved to the folder.

Cons: Dropbox perfectly performs the above functions. I have been using this service for a long time and I have never had any problems or failures.

Pros: So everyone has used Dropbox (even my technically-challenged friends). We all know that we can create an account and upload files to this imaginary cloud. But when Dropbox released the latest set of features for Pro/Business accounts called Smart Sync, my life and business was honestly changed forever. I can keep ALL of my files visible on my computer while only syncing certain files/folders through this feature. In short, my hard drive space is freed up without losing access to viewing what other files I have in my Dropbox. It's a must for anyone who manages hundreds of folders and wants to be able to search and access all of them without taking up hard drive space.

Cons: There is absolutely nothing I don't love about this software. I upgraded my account to Business since I needed some of the features that Pro did not have. I have a lot of friends who are freelancers and need access to the Business features without signing up for a minimum of 3 accounts. It would be a great service to the self-employed world to give them the option to add in the options of Business at an additional fee without having to purchase 3 seats.

Pros: I've been using Dropbox Business now for more than 2 years, and all I can say is that it helped us collaborate within the team. I am a part of a team where my other team members are situated to different parts of my country and the globe, and it is really hard if we need to exchange emails from time to time in order for us t update everyone regarding the updated presentation file or regarding the excel that we last updated. With Dropbox Business everyone in our team can do edits on our office files and every one of us gets updated immediately when someone created their version or update the files.

Cons: What I least like about Dropbox Business is that whenever someone opened the file I am editing, it creates a conflicted copy whenever I save it. I hope Dropbox Business can do something about that like notifying the second person who opens the file that someone is using or updating the presentation slide or work file.

Overall: Dropbox Business is the best office drive that is out there! So if you have team members spread around the globe and you want to collaborate with them real-time lessening the inconvenient email exchange and numerous meetings, better try Dropbox Business!

By far one of the best decisions I made as COO of a LA based Charity.

Pros: The piece of mind you will receive once Dropbox is a part of your ecosystem is exhilarating. Years ago I walked into the office one morning to a friend server. later I received a file with all the company files that were able to be retrieved from DriveSavers. It cost me some amount to have temp help to reconstruct the file structure and rename all the files. I vowed to never walk through this experience again. Thankfully Dropbox entered the market. I still do local backups but knowing the files are secure is peace of mind. Also, Dropbox Business allows for easy transfer of files, request file folders and segregation of permissions. This all assists in keeping certain files private and some easily accesible. It is all you need to finally say goodbye to the expensive and unreliable local servers. I am now using this solution for my business.

Cons: The need to download asserts if selective sync is not enabled on a certain file or folder. This creates some duplication and fills memory on a computer.

Overall: Piece of mind is a given when Dropbox is a part of the ecosystem. That alone is worth the investment which is hardly a hit on cash flow.

Pros: Dropbox has a simple enough user interface and usage basis to merit that it's become a notably popular cloud sharing and file storage app, as it's commonly used, in context, as an ad hoc software access requirement feature of third party apps, within a file storage and sharing capacity. For personal users, DropBox has long been an early bird in establishing itself as the go-to somewhat professional context of indie software company output of an appreciable well-supported server-side web business offering of what amounts to an apportioned WebApp context of a reasonably simple file upload, management, and sharing basis for users to store and upload files quickly to a dedicated service provider context of a paid subscription basis. It works well, and the upload speeds to the server are quick and reliable, and sharing files and documents winds up being simple and user friendly, from content producer to end user, as shared files are emailed as linked web addresses within emails.

Cons: There's not much that I've come across, as far as malfunction, or unreliable service in DropBox. It's performed well, and it's presented in a well-defined user interface and experience.

Overall: I've worked with DropBox in a slight basis of personal use, and most commonly, as an office administrative assistant and digital media content delivery specialist in a small business context. Aside from that, I've noticed that DropBox is commonly used as one of several common and popular cloud storage and sharing solutions in mobile app offerings, of many various sorts.

Pros: This application helps us to upload all the documents to one central location and we can access the same via our smartphones, laptops or tablets. The best feature is that we can work offline and if you want to share the files with someone, you can just send an invite via email hence authorizing them to access the data. Now talking about security, we can be rest assured that all our data are guarded by AES 256 protection, and the only people who are authorized can access these files. You can categorize data into public and private, thereby limiting the access according to your requirement. The application is very easy to use, in comparison to other similar cloud storage applications. There is this history feature that we can use to inspect the previous version of a file.

Cons: Even though we can create notes and save them, it is impossible to edit them in real time. We can avail free storage only up to 2GB, after which we need to go for paid service. One of the major downsides is the customer service. You can only contact them via emails and added to that they seldom respond.

Pros: Dropbox couldn't be simpler to use. It's great for basic backup, but it really excels if you work from multiple devices or collaborate with a large number of users.

It's easy to get bogged down in version history when you don't have a product like Dropbox to organize that for you. Staying synced across multiple devices and users is very easy and in those strange circumstances where someone went offline while working and you end up with conflicting versions, Dropbox is excellent at saving all the versions and plainly labeling them to make it easier than ever to recover without losing any work.

Cons: Once you start collaborating with other users, it can start to get a little pricey. Each user has to have the storage space available. If not every file needs to be shared with every team member, you can end up paying for a lot of unused space.

Overall: Moving to a cloud storage system like Dropbox, immediately increased my productivity. I save a file at the office, but inspiration strikes at home? No big deal. Just open it up, knock out a few notes, save, and it's waiting for me to pick it up again the next morning at the office. Couldn't be easier.

Pros: With Dropbox I believe the pro is that it is much easier to share files. Pretty seamless. Organization is the true key. I am a fan of the folder organization and the ease of seeing who has access to the folder at first glance. When I have complaints about what a person can see and what they cannot see, I can easily look and see who I shared the folder/file with to make a determination. Never really had a need to contact support or anything. Above Google Doc at which I have shared links with, sometimes protected documents require additional steps which I find is a pain. But it's pretty straight forward with DropBox.

Cons: A con to me is the price. I simply think amount/month for that amount of storage space is a bit pricey unless you are an avid user. I have a Terabyte of space that I probably will never use... unless I become more comfortable with full cloud storage. Dropbox should really consider their pricing points as it's simple a file storage without many other robust features. Other pricing options should be available for Simple users like Apple's pricing points for iCloud. I feel far more comfortable paying per month for 200 GB versus for 1TB. With iCloud you can pay for 2 TB and that's backing up an entire phone including photos, videos, applications, music, etc and is shareable. There isn't many applications like Dropbox so I believe the lack of competition is also the reason there isn't many other pricing options.

Pros: I consider that Dropbox is the best storage cloud that exists today. Very simple to use, great storage capacity and very competitive prices compared to other clouds such as icloud or google drive.

Among the benefits that stand out are:

1) Unlimited storage capacity. great, no?

2) dropbox is integrated to all applications that may exist. One can share a file just by copying and pasting a link.

3) how easy it is to load the data in the cloud, just drag the file and drop it in dropbox and it is automatically uploaded

In my office we use dropbox as a digital repository of all the important data that we need to back up safely and have available for immediate access by any of our colleagues.

It is excellent to work from home, because we can access everything that is done in the office from the comfort of our home. also allows to share the information easily facilitating collaboration between different departments.

Cons: excellent platform, we are very satisfied with its performance. the truth is that I have nothing to object about dropbox.

Pros: Dropbox is a space for creative collaboration designed to reduce unproductive tasks, gather files in a central place and synchronize them safely on all your devices. It is a hosting service that allows users to store and synchronize files online and between computers and share files and folders with others, generates greater employee productivity and better business results. Thanks to its innovative system it allows you to store large amounts of data safely, create backup copies of your files and share them with your contacts. You can access files from anywhere on the network. There are free and paid versions, each of which with various options, you can start using Dropbox for free, with 2Gb.

Cons: When sharing files, you should not work on the same file at the same time, as it causes conflict and two copies of the file are created. Only what is inside the folder that is created automatically can be synchronized.

Overall: File storage tool in the cloud which allows you to share files with other users privately and with greater security. Generating greater productivity and better business results

Pros: I love the simplicity of inviting other employees to the Dropbox Account. Centralised filing system. We have colleagues all around the world. Australia, India & South America. It covers our filing needs and makes viewing documents in real time (on your desktop) easy peasy. The best part is you can work on the files, even if you're not online (for whatever reason), and then the next time you connect online it makes all the updates to the shared files for you!

We can also invite our Clients to view their systems.

Cons: Be careful with long file names. It will mean that you'll either need to open it in a separate google/explorer webpage, or copy it to your desktop to be able to open files.

It's also challenging if you want to share only 1 file with a client, you have to share all the other existing folders in the the directory for them to be able to open and view it.

Customer support is a little slow in responding, and often will provide what works for them, but it won't always be sufficient. Case and point is the long file names.

Overall: With a team spread across the globe (and we're only a team of 10 employees!) it covers more than adequately needs, not only as we grow, but also as we continue to develop more business practices.

For filing, Dropbox is the place to be!

Pros: I love that you can share files and choose whether they can be viewed or edited. When we send files to clients we do not want anything to be altered so this option allows them to view invoices and builder plans without changing anything. Also, with our products we market, we want to show potential clients the new collections and this allows us to make folders that we can easily access from a phone or tablet to show them images of the products.

Cons: The only con I can say is the functionality to rename the images can be tedious. You cannot rename the image when you have it pulled up, you have to be in the folder and right click to rename. We have to rename almost all of our images with keywords for marketing purposes and sometimes this gets in the way.

Overall: This software has made the organization of all of our files a breeze. With the ease of access Dropbox is an essential tool for our business helping us work as a team to accomplish our goals and market our products. Being able to all edit files or add to folders as needed where all of the coworkers can access the same files is awesome, and I don't know what we did before we had Dropbox.

Pros: Length of time Dropbox has been in business...

My past positive experience with Dropbox for the last 7 years or so...

The relative inexpensive cost of upgrading...

The ease of use (and keeping everything under one house) definitely made the decision to upgrade easier...

Cons: The migration process, because I have so much data, has to actually be done in chunks. If I could have "my way," I would love to just put it all on autopilot and let it run in the background. But I have not figured out how to do that without locking up the system (either on my end or on their end - I have not figured out which. I just went back to transferring one file at a time).

Overall: I have been using Dropbox personal system for several years. I have had nothing but glowing reviews for this program since I started using it.

Recently, our business outgrew the personal system and our external hard drive we used for backing up files. After checking into several different "cloud based" platforms for back up, I decided to stick with the pro's who have been there for me all along.

I upgraded to Dropbox for Business and have been migrating my files over, freeing up my hard drive space along the way.

Pros: I was able to maximize my space with referrals and through my cell phone (Samsung promotion to link phone gave me 6gig). I do like the feature as with other cloud storage to have it linked between all devices. What's on the web is on my desktop, laptop, and mobile phone. I find it works best as an external hard drive for a single user.

Cons: Sharing can get dangerous. When we used for work and shared directories, one user (with desktop app), thought since he saw it on his machine he could control independently. Not the case! He moved the folder to a location outside of Dropbox in his windows explore/finder and it was the same as if he deleted the folder off of Dropbox for everyone. You need to educate those you share the folder with. Also, especially on a business plan, when you share a folder with others, if there are large files they will fill up the other users Dropbox quickly. I have found multiple people ask me not to share folders or files with them as they only have the standard 2gig. This becomes an issue quickly when sharing large files such as photos and videos.

Pros: I have used Dropbox for quite a while now. I use Dropbox for storing my files in the cloud. I like it because I am able to access the files from anywhere, using any device. I find that very convenient and reliable.

Dropbox is also easy to use. When I was starting out with the application, I didn't need someone to show me around. I pretty much figured things out on my own.

I like that I can have a number of shared folders with my colleagues. This saves us the need to keep sending each other files on email.

Cons: I have one problem with Dropbox. It is hard to collaborate on documents using the app. When working on the same document with someone else, the application creates multiple versions of the same document, each for everyone collaborating on the document. This sucks. It's a real pain. I wish the application could allow for collaboration on same document in real time. This would make things a lot more easier.

Overall: Generally, Dropbox is a useful application for storing documents and folders in the cloud. I feel safer when my documents are in the cloud.

Inexpensive, but limited product that lacks many of the various additional features or capatability range of most competing products.

Pros: It is dirt cheap and it functions extremely well within it's limited framework. Also, due to it's low expense, it is widely used and more familiar to the public than most CMS products. This high level of adoption makes implementation less disruptive than other CMS with the exceptions of Google Drive and OneDrive, and outside sharing is easy since DropBox is free to download an use up to a certain level of storage even if the application is missing from their systems.

Cons: Extremely limited functionality that really hasn't changed much from an end user perspective in the 10 years since it emerged. The upgrades DropBox has implemented to complete with other CMS software feature terrible compatibility and hideous UIs, and every year DropBox produces the same old product at the same old price. It may be one of the cheapest CMS programs available, but unlike the other low price options like OneDrive or Box that have continuously upgraded and added capabilities each year, DropBox doesn't really stand out even when price is considered.

Pros: My favorite feature of Dropbox is how it seamlessly keeps important files up to date across different platforms and many locations. It's so easy to share data and make sure it's flowing to all the appropriate people and locations. The access privileges and sharing controls are easy to set and limit user to only access data they need. I have Dropbox installed on my phone, tablet, desktop, and even one server. It is reliable and does it's job without issues. Our company runs much more efficiently since we have began using Dropbox Business.

Cons: The software as a whole is great, if there is one thing I do not like, it's that sometimes the Dropbox service will stop running and it needs to be reset in order to continue syncing files. This does not occur often and has noticeably decreased over the last couple years.

Overall: Dropbox Business is solving our data sharing solution. It securely allows us to share our data across several locations without the need for complex networking or site to site VPNs. We have not had any major issues with the program and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Pros: What i like about Dropbox is you can login or signup using your google account which saves a lot of time instead of filling out sign up fields. As for me, i use chrome for my browser and android for my mobile so i can easily access my files through web. You can use the web application but if you want to drag and drop your files, its very convenient if you will download Dropbox and install it to all your devices whether -PC, android, and iOS. All my files are synced to all my devices so i can view and update my files wherever i go. What i like about Dropbox is you can create a link of your file and share the link instead of uploading the file when sending it to others. No matter how big the file is, people who has the link can view the file.

Cons: When you use web application and you open your file, you can only view the file but cant edit or update it right away. You need to click on open when using a PC so you can open and edit it through excel, etc. If i use mobile and access it in web, i only have the option to download it and not edit it right away. So i suggest to install the application to your devices so when you open the file, it is automatically ope

Pros: Dropbox is easy to use across every single platform which makes it incredibly valuable. From iPhone to tablets, from Macs to PC, and anything in between, Dropbox provides consistent access to all your files quickly and effectively. Easy to use and access from any application as well (Outlook mobile, iMessage, LinkedIn, etc.)

Cons: The one con I've experienced with Dropbox is their preference towards keeping the files in the cloud. If you're sharing files, you must be sure to export or download in to the application your using to share the file. Otherwise, you will be prompted to send a link to the document in the cloud. When I receive these links from others in my organization, I often have trouble loading the link. This is likely due to access restrictions that still exist on the document. There's never any trouble when you simply email or share the actual file such as a .pdf.

Overall: Overall, Dropbox is easy to use across all your platforms. Being one of the largest 3rd party cloud service for basic user data, most applications have strong support built in for Dropbox.

Pros: I've been using Dropbox since 2010 when I was in college. First it was for personal use and to help me organize schoolwork and be able to sync between my computer and tablet and to keep a backup of my pictures. Recently, my partners and I have been using it to share documents and articles relevant to our business. It's usefulness has multiplied. We don't have to search through our email to search for documents we've shared. If we need to update a chart or table, we can do it right in the Excel file saved in the Dropbox folder and trust that we'll all have the most updated information.

Cons: Even though we love Dropbox for its ability to share up to date information, it's not always seamless. Sometimes we end up with duplicate documents or if two people are working on something at the same time, we lose some information. However, since we are a small partnership, a little bit of planning is usually enough to find a way around this particular quick. If we had more than three people, it might cause some more serious issues.

Pros: There's a lot I like about Dropbox. I have had my Dropbox account since I was a freshman in college, and I have upgrade it since to a Business account. One of my favorite features about Dropbox Business is that you can keep your personal files separate from files you would use at work or school. There's a team folder where you can share with your team or work files you are collaborating in. Another pro about Dropbox is that it's available in almost any platform and you have access to your files anywhere you are at. You can back up your computer also and keep your mobile files and computers synced. Their free trial for this plan is also very good because you get a full month to try it out for free, which gives you 1 TB of storage.

Cons: Cons would be the basic free account gives you very little storage. Some other clouds storages do give you more storage for a free account where Dropbox will give you 2 GB but you can earn storage by referring.

Overall: I am able to have access to my files if I need them right now anywhere.

Pros: I've used Dropbox Business in saving files as a part-time resume editor, and a full-time workforce Manager. Dropbox Business made it easy for me to save important files and not worrying that it will get lost. I lost my laptop before but retrieving my files were as easy as 1,2,3 because you just need to install Dropbox in your new device or computer and sign in your current Dropbox Business log in information. Editing filed with your team is also easy! As long as you have shared the dropbox folder with them, they can access and make edits - anywhere and anytime! You can see changes real-time as soon as they close the file and Dropbox Business gets updated.

Cons: What I least like about it is that it is costly a month for as much space as your team needs. I also don't like the fact that when I am editing and someone edited the file at the same, we will get a conflicted copy.

Overall: I was able to save all of my files in just one folder that will not affect my device's storage. I can also retrieve my files anywhere and even from another device.

Pros: It is very easy to create external links and share files with external parties. I like that in this platform a simple interface. This software allows my team to easily download and sort files. I really like that all my documents are stored in the cloud. I have a lot of work that I do from different computers and locations, and it's nice to know that I do not need to carry a laptop or load it on a flash drive. If you want to use this program professionally, you need to purchase a paid version that will allow you to have more functions and more memory. I can exchange documents and images with colleagues and friends without having to send individual emails or print multiple copies. This is a great program for sharing files of any type.

Cons: I did not like the restrictions in free user spaces, and the program had problems with counting the addition of space by invitation. The program has little storage space for documents and files, I'd like more. To export a video, you need to take additional steps.

Comments: Dropbox creates a special folder on the user's computer, the contents of which are then synchronized to Dropbox's servers and to other computers and devices that the user has installed Dropbox on, keeping the same files up-to-date on all devices. Dropbox uses a freemium business model, where users are offered a free account with a set storage size, with paid subscriptions available that offer more capacity and additional features.

Pros: Simple operation Allows sharing files and folders Allows you to synchronize files and folders Allows 2 Gigabyte storage for free It has support for the revision history

Cons: Lack of security Dropbox has been the subject of criticism and controversy related to multiple incidents, including a June 2011 authentication problem that let accounts be accessed for several hours without passwords a July 2011 Privacy Policy update with language suggesting Dropbox had ownership of users' data, concerns about Dropbox employee access to users' information, July 2012 email spam with recurrence in February 2013, leaked government documents in June 2013 with information that Dropbox was being considered for inclusion in the National Security Agency's PRISM surveillance program, a July 2014 comment from NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden criticizing Dropbox's encryption, the leak of 68 million account passwords on the Internet in August 2016, and a January 2017 accidental data restoration incident where years-old supposedly deleted files reappeared in users' accounts.

If you say to a client, "I'm going to send you the assets via Dropbox since the files are too large to send via email", most clients will know exactly what Dropbox is. Now, if Dropbox wasn't as popular clients (especially non-millennials) would say, "What's Dropbox? Can you send it another way? Do I have to have an account? Because I don't have one" and then potentially get annoyed that you're introducing a new medium of communication into the mix. Another element I like is you can upload files to a folder and share them with someone or a group of people and update that same folder with more assets later and that same person or those same people still have access to the folder. It gives the program longevity and avoids repetitive file sharing.

Cons: What I dislike about Dropbox is if someone, for instance, shares a gallery of photos they took and you want to delete some on your end because you don't like them or they look too similar to other photos they'll also delete from the original sender's photo gallery. Sure, you can access them in the deleted folder and make them visible again, but it's annoying that you can't just edit the folder on YOUR Dropbox account and have the original folder on the original Dropbox sender's account be untouched. I would assume the sender could lock a gallery to ensure no photos / files shared get deleted, but I do like having the flexibility of updating a folder on MY END still on my Dropbox account without it impacting the original sender. And I wouldn't enjoy this the other way around, either.

When it is all about sharing large files and folders, Dropbox is the best choice!

Pros: Last year I was assigned to a new project and there were a lot of FAQ documents with video tutorials and several other important files with login credentials as well. My manager shared it through my email id which is linked to Dropbox. Our company has an enterprise plan and so there was no storage limitation for up to 50 people under the company domain. There was an option to add more people who can see and edit the folders but I have been not given the permission to remove a user which is set for security purposes. Overall the experience was pretty good. The desktop app worked just like another folder in the PC when a desktop app is installed. Both the Android and iPhone apps also worked very smoothly.

Cons: The desktop app, when installed for the first time, tries to synchronize all the files from the cloud to the PC to make it easily accessible. But it takes a lot of time before we can really start using the application as while syncing the folders, the app tends to be very slow.

Pros: I really like that with the business Dropbox we are able to have more storage options than the traditional accounts or free accounts. With this product, we are able to keep all of our business files stored in one safe secure location where we can access them from anywhere we need them as long as we have a connection. We like being able to use the app or desktop version and then transitioning between the two when we are on the go. You don't have to download the files and have them on the computer or phone which saves a ton of space. We use Dropbox for all of our cloud storage needs and will do so in the future.

Cons: I have only had to reach out to the customer support team once or twice in the time that we have used this product and I remember both times thinking that I wished I had better experiences. There wasn't any one thing I could pinpoint as being the main culprit, but the time between responses, the canned responses and issues with resolving problems could have been improved upon.

Pros: You can choose among three different Dropbox accounts: Basic (2gb of free space), Plus (a basic upgrade with 1TB of space) and Business, available in 3 different solutions (Standard, Advanced, Enterprise). You also have 30 days of free Business trial.

The Business Plan is the more complete. It offers 3TB of space and many useful features, such as: 120 days of deleted file recovery, encryption solutions, complete Office integration, LAN syncing, delta-updates and so on. You can also better control the sharing permission thanks to the granular privacy settings.

The Smart Sync option offers a real time synchronization on all device and the Delta-updates are a clever feature that allows better managing your files optimizing loading times. Indeed, if you amend a doc, only its variations will be updated.

Cons: It is a little bit expensive considering that it currently competes with G Suite - Google Drive, that is completely free.

Overall: Dropbox is an online storage and file sharing service. I use it every day to organize and manage my documents sparing a lot of time. I installed it on all my devices, in this way I can access them everywhere and at any time, even when traveling.

Pros: I often find myself needing a quick solution to share files between a vast amount of people simultaneously and Dropbox makes that process a breeze. Transferring documents from device to device has never been simpler when working with multiple producers. Dropbox has a beautiful web UI making it very versatile to adapt to if you're coming from another file sharing service such as Google Drive. Storage options are also very flexible and I'd highly recommend investing on what you need most for your buisness.

Cons: I honestly do not dislike one thing about Dropbox Business! I do feel like setting it up on your PC can be quite a hassle at first compared to uploading files directly from the web browser but nonetheless, it doesn't really bother me much. It somewhat lacks collaboration but I mainly use Dropbox to store large music videos/visuals so that's all I really need it for.

Overall: Never underestimate the potential of Dropbox, you won't be disappointed when choosing this if you're working for only yourself and a few other people.

Pros:

Safeguard all the information and, be able to access it from another computer or in the cloud

Dropbox Business allowed me to centralize all the information in the company in a single space.

As I am in the area of processes and quality, it is of the utmost importance that you have a tool with this kind of benefits. In addition, you can share the information with other users who use the tool.

It can be opened in any other computer and it informs you if the information has been updated in the other devices

Cons:

If the internet connection is quite slow it is very likely that when you try to access the information from another device it will be difficult, considering that the elements of the dropbox business have not been synchronized

The notification system can be better and better, depending on synchronizing information. Whereas, when you add new documents, update or delete.

Overall: Going from being in the uncertainty of losing all the information by being locally on my computer (laptop) to concentrate all my documents to a tool in the cloud.

Dropbox business facilitated the arrangement or proximity with my documents from anywhere. Even though I can access from my mobile device, only by downloading the application

Pros: Dropbox Business is storage in the cloud that allows us to save our files of any kind (spreadsheets, photos, word files, pdf, among others), in a secure way, allowing to share, synchronize and organize them in folders in an efficient way and immediate, and in turn allows controlling who can have access to them. To share allows you to use a link that gives others the possibility of accessing a file in a specific way without checking the rest of the files stored in the cloud, and it is not necessary that the person with whom you want to share has an email . Allows enough space, privately. You can upload files from the network directly or from the computer, and to access you only have to have a computer where you can surf the Internet

Cons: The only thing I have noticed with the use of Dropbox Business is that when you share the link of files stored in the folders you can not work on the same files because it generates a second copy of it. But in this case it is advisable to share and finished using the file.

Overall: Dropbox Business has allowed me to store a large amount of information in the cloud, which is the product of the work as a teacher - researcher, providing security and support for them. I can access them whenever I need them, and I can even download them to my computer, or share them with others when I need to. It has allowed me to have a personal library of books, articles and other digital ones.

Pros: The biggest plus is the synchronization between the various devices. I can always access the file using different devices (PC, tablet, smartphones, even on Chromebook). Currently, we use Dropbox to share files between employees. We use it in several selected departments. I also personally use it for personal files and backup of photos. I like that the application allows me to send all the photos from my devices to Dropbox and all my screenshots. Even with the inclusion of my photo-system, the system suggests immediately storing pictures.

Cons: Sometimes it's hard for me to look for some files. I would like to have developers add some filters or shortcuts for files - so it would be much more convenient. In addition, I sometimes do not like the synchronization speed, I have a pretty fast Internet, but the Dropbox does not use all the speed. Service was a pioneer in this field and my opinion is not developing. For several years now I do not see any big update or interesting feature.

Pros: This cloud storage allows you to upload your files from device and bring about edits from various other devices of the same user. With storage space up to 2GB for free users, the cloud provides all facilities required for the user. With the availability of Dropbox Paper, documents can also be stored and edited. All the screenshots taken are automatically saved in the cloud. In other words, it simply is another hard drive where in you can enter all your documents and files, with the only essential condition being internet.

Cons: Though the setup provides high opportunities for data storage, however, there are few things are depressing. When the file is being used at same time in more than one place, it is found that editing is not possible. File security is questionable. Also, though the customers get regular emails regarding maintaining of their clouds, the customer servicing is poor and the terms and conditions prove to be obsolete since other cloud storages give better options.

Pros: I love Dropbox as our constantly backedup company server. I can store lots of files and add clients to their own folders for ease of collaboration. Also the version control has been a lifesaver (if someone accidentally deletes something, you can recover it within 30 days). It just 'works' on any of our company computers and makes our file storage infinitely easier.

It also integrates with tons of tools I already use, like Genius Scan so I don't have to figure out how to get things to work nearly as much as I would with other options.

Cons: I got a new laptop that only had 250G on it (I know, only in 2018 can we say only to that kind of number) and I have to very selectively sync to Dropbox on that device. (1 TB of Dropbox storage means there is four times as much as I could even put on my laptop). So it makes some things annoying to archive from there but not impossible. Certainly not worth being actually annoyed about.

Overall: Easy cloud storage, compatible with lots of file types, lots of integrations.

Pros: I started using Dropbox in campus to share study resources with my fellows. Later, when I started working, Dropbox Business, give me access to my files and that of my colleagues. What I like most about Dropbox Business is that it is easy to use since it has a user-interface and slick design. For that reason, to start sharing your files with Dropbox Business, you do not need to get comprehensive training. I like everything about Dropbox Business, mainly its features-file recovery help me to track of my data.

Cons: Small storage capacity on free version is one of the things that I do not like. To get the most out of this platform, you need to pay. They should ensure that they allocate Dropbox Business at a fair cost to attract a lot of prospective clients.

Overall: With Dropbox Business, we are in a better situation to share files of any size to anybody from anywhere with a web-enabled device like PC and mobile phones. That way, Dropbox Business helps to save team's time and effort while sharing data since we do not copy or necessarily write.

Comments: One of the best features offered in Dropbox is their immediate ability to upgrade your account should you need a larger storage facility imeadiatly one may purchase the exact amount required, Yet if your needs are small and you're just starting out in business you can refer your friends to sign up with Dropbox and each person you have referred adds to the amount of storage you have available in your personal account! A Win-Win Solution from a very smart and forward business friendly company! Well Done Dropbox!

Pros: Truely Intuitive. One is able to literally load and immediately, instantly USE THE PRODUCT! I have used Dropbox for over a decade now and it has saved me over and over again as I use it as both a go-to backup and a synced work backup directory. It has also enhanced my business capabilities by allowing me to recommend Dropbox to clients as well as provide those same clients with access to files too large to be sent via email!

Cons: I can literally find no cons to this product which is saying something because I can usually find fault with any product. There simply are none.

Pros: Dropbox is not within the Microsoft, Google, or Apple ecosystem, which gives it a unique position in the cloud storage arena. When working across organizations and groups, crossover between these proprietary ecosystems can sometimes be limited or rough. Dropbox provides the bridge. When files need to be shared in as simple a way as possible, we've found Dropbox to be the simplest and most straightforward option.

Furthermore, Dropbox for Business serves as an excellent backup platform document exchange and storage. Archiving entire file trees is easy as pie, even when moving content from Windows machines to Apple machines. Dropbox's streamlined approach to cloud storage is certainly its strength. Everything is reduced down to a plain, easy-to-use interface and management system that makes document sharing much easier than it used to be.

Cons: Dropbox is not the best value when compared to other cloud storage platforms. It certainly is easy to use, but the amount of storage you get for the price is less than stellar. Also, the simplicity can, at times, be taxing when you need advanced functionality. Finally, Dropbox file previews can frequently produce issues, depending on the platform.

Overall: Dropbox provides us with a flexible, platform agnostic cloud storage system that makes file exchange, document management, and archiving easy.

Pros: We use Dropbox in my office to storage our clients files because we need it to be available for everyone in our law firm (we are located in different countries so this is very important for us). I believe it is a secure platform if you need confidentiality, up to date we haven´t had any problems with our sensitive documents (considering that I´m talking about a law firm in which everything needs to be confidential). Dropbox is more secure than a regular Email service so it is better for me to use this software in order to share documents with my colleages. For my work it is useful that you can have as many folders as you nedd which helps you to keep things very organized. It also send you an alert when someone change, add or delete any of the documents which is helpful in order to track if someone is using the document that maybe you are about to need.

Cons: The sincronizations of the documents could take a while if you change or add several documents/archive and sometimes it doesn´t work with some antivirus I have in my computer.

Overall: for me is very helpful and it helps me to keep my files very organized and easy to find.

Pros: It is no longer necessary to go online to access the shared folders in my office. The offline folder on my desktop is very useful where I can do all edits and it is automatically synced. There are options to maintain my personal folders within it, and to share crucial files with limited access to the team members.

Dropbox saves the hassle of having to email back and fro all the while. It shows the last edits done by whom and when.

Cons: Two people cannot work on the same file at the same time, it generates a conflicted copy. The history of adding and deleting files can be seen online, but it is rather effective if we can download a report pertaining t each folder on the entire history of the month. This way we are accessible to all changes made in the past, rather than the limited viewing that is currently available.

Overall: I have been using Dropbox for more than 3 years now, and with it's really flexible features that require no learning curve at all, it is deeply integrated into the everyday functioning at my office.

Pros: I like so much the possibility to have my files in the cloud and to have access to them every time, everywhere with an internet connection. Things that I love are the simple and intuitive web application that it uses and the synchronization software for the PC. The software works very well, it pups up a notification when a file is created or edited. Finally, the web application incorporates an Online Microsoft Office editor that allows to create and edit documents.

Cons: I don't like the small amount of space that Dropbox provides you as a free user. I have increased my space by inviting friends but it still low. For this reason, I can not have all my files in the cloud, only the important ones. Being adding and removing content with my space is full is anoying.

Overall: My experience with Dropbox has been great despite the amount of space that I have in my account. Since my bachelor, I have been used Dropbox every day to access my notes and homework. In addition, I have been used Dropbox to share content with my peers and professors.

Pros: The installation process for dropbox is very easy to work with. For the most part Dropbox figures out what you have and starts the process and you just have to wait for it to complete and give you a login dialogue.

Cons: Dropbox business is something that most businesses should absolutely want to have! A common depository for company files that can be used and shared it something that screams increases in productivity. The biggest problem in my mind remains this local synced copy versus copy only in the cloud conundrum. Most casual users will think that that a local sync of the files makes sense and immediately start eating up space on their local storage drives. Suddenly without warning they are our of room, and fixing the problem with uninstallation of Dropbox deleting files a local nightmare.

Overall: I still really like Dropbox. In so many cases it is so convenient to have the file(s) you need at all times and on pretty much any device. Getting to the Dropbox folder and finding the files you need is also a very easy process.

Pros: We've have not change Dropbox since we started using it 5 years ago. My boss and other users were satisfied. I saw how they manage to improve the software overtime and they did a good job especially when syncing files. It is now faster compared before that you need to wait for sometime. Now even im working at home and someones using it in the office, it would easily synced on my pc's dropbox which is every time saving. I love that you can install it to your mobile phone.

Cons: Down side:

1. It eats up my internet. I mean if your gone for awhile and files are syncing, it causes streaming videos load slowly.

2. The floating icon/notification is iritating since it blocks a spot in the screen especially cells in Excel so you need to constantly move it. Maybe they can make it more smaller.

Overall: I believe Dropbox is the pioneer software who started workstorage online and manage to keep up despite of competitors in the market. It is extremely easy to use and portable as you can download it from the app store.

Pros: Reliability/Stability, ease of access for all users, integration with pc, and access from anywhere I started out using this for personal when i received my new laptop. I was and am currently working remotely for a publishing company. I started to use Dropbox to share files with other contract employees on in Romania along with other staff members all in different locations. I can work remotely with venders all over the world and still be able to give real time access to the files they need at any time.

Cons: Default space, although i can't really complain because their business pricing is very reasonable. I will be upgrading to the Dropbox Pro starting in the New Year. Some of the integration aps are buggy, but for the most part they are ok. Would like to be able to do more from my remote devices with drop box. Please add more capabilities. Would be great to do track changes, or even mark edits for other users to see and then comment on. Also debugging the Microsoft online applications.

Recommendations to other buyers: Put it to the test. Easy to set up with basic account you will see how easy it is to share files, photo's, video with a link, and allow others to upload to your folders. Great reliability. I would be impressed if you can find another that offers all that with the customer service of Dropbox. Check download speeds, File conversion, and also how you can view them online. Drop Box recently added Office online which makes it great to view manuscripts and other documents from Microsoft.

Pros: They have clients for everything. Linux, Windows, Mac, Android, iOS all covered. This is by far the best cloud storage drive around. The client syncs files in seconds between all your computers and the versioning in the cloud is top notch. They set the bar in this field and they set the bar very high. There are also many different add-ons for Drop box as well that let you mount it as a mapped drive or a fuse filesystem so that is an advantage as well if you don't want to sync down all of your files from the cloud.

Cons: It is not hosted your self that is the only drawback being on somebody else's infrastructure means that theoretically they can see your files and have access to them so if you are worried about that look into Nextcloud.

Overall: I have used Dropbox for many years and never had any problems they have always been up and provided plenty of storage for my needs. the unlimited storage with business accounts is nice when you get low you call support and they tac on a few more TB's easy peasy!

Comments: I travel frequently and used to do it by a portable hard drive. Portable hard drives go bad so fast, I was spending a hundred bucks every three years. This is amazing because you can use it offline as well. It's easy to use (in my opinion) and I think it has the best interface. I use 3 different computers, and it has a fail safe JUST in case you delete a file or perhaps saved wrong and have to go back to an earlier version.

Pros: Up to date, fairly safe (but I don't keep bank statements on here), and has sharing links so when I upload a mega file and need to send to someone, I can bypass uploading and send a download link to a customer. I know it's accessible almost anywhere, and I can use it offline.

Cons: The only downside...is syncing. Sometimes there is a discrepancy between 2 computers, and instead of using the 'box' I have to go online and use the online portal rather than the installed portal on my computer.

Recommendations to other buyers: I've used others: and this by far is the best for the price. I still am forced to use other online storage and sharing software because it's what others use, but I think this is more organized than competitors.

Pros: Rock solid at doing what it does. Need it to work and be reliable and this you can trust Dropbox to deliver on. The company also is developing a suite of apps to target it's customer base. So far Dropbox 'Paper' has been amazing and replaced Google docs for me.

Cons: Although it's rock solid, we've not seen much innovation in the past few years. I'm content but perhaps not wowed by the product.

Overall: Probably the granddaddy of the SAAS industry at this point, but they are a staple service for a reason. In a world becoming more and more internet driven, where your work can take place anywhere you have an internet connection, file sharing is at the center of most things we do. Although there has been little innovation over the past few years, their core product file sharing/storage is rock solid. I've tried alternatives and have always came back for the consistent experience.

Dropbox is also been doing cool things another product of theirs 'Dropbox Paper' -- This product has quickly replaced google docs for my needs.

Recommendations to other buyers: Selective sync is key if you work for a large organization. It helps make sure you don't fill up your hard drive with unwanted files.

Pros: Dropbox is the easiest and safest way to save all your personal data whether being PDF files, documents or pictures. Everything is password protected so safety and security is guaranteed. Extremely simple to use and operate. The outlay and theme of the software makes this application more interesting. When I am traveling, I can even use Dropbox' mobile application to save files to my personal dropbox account. This Dropbox account is linked to my company's email address so it helps me in keeping a back up of all relevant data files. I can even save complete folders instead of individual files making my life easier

Overall: Dropbox has been a blessing to me. Whenever I have to send large files to my work colleagues, I just make a dropbox link and then send the link to my work mates who can then download the file from their laptop. I can even make the link protected by allowing access to specific people ensuring maximum security and reliability. An easy to use software and it gets sets up without any hassle. Anyone can use it!

Pros: Storage space is the most appealing feature about Dropbox Business. However it also has an easy to use, familiar user interface. It integrates into your windows OS creating a folder that syncs to your Dropbox online folder allowing you to use cloud storage without even using the web interface. No added steps just move/copy/paste files into the Dropbox folder in Windows, and watch the icon turn blue indicating it's syncing. Once it's green it has uploaded all your files into the cloud allowing you to access them anywhere you have web access. It also has a great mobile app which is just as easy to use. If you take a lot of photos for work it has an auto upload feature for your camera roll.

Cons: If you have multiple users registered within your company domain name. Expect Dropbox salesman to be calling you every month or so encouraging you to upgrade everyone to Dropbox Business even if they are fine on a free non-business plan.

Pros: Dropbox business is the best in the class in terms of features. The innovation team behind this product is also doing the best job. Account Integration and Auditing and Authentication feature which make you happy. File Synchronization and sharing files cross platform only provided by the DropBox. As it is the only one which provide the support over Unix systems. History tracking and save point is also a life saver in case of data loss. In Era of Data DropBox is on the TOP.

Cons: The one thing they can do is make the plans /edition more flexible and in free edition also add some more space for free usages. Role Based permission is also missing in the DropBox in such case we miss the feature when we need the large files from the other resource on the secure channel.

Overall: Cross platforms support make it the first choice for Linux user. Remote access files on all device make it easy for us as folder based synchronization can be also enable and make different team to work and focus on their work.

Comments: Overall, Dropbox is one of the best options out there in the market nowadays, offering a trustable cloud solution to storage your documents.

Pros: There are two reasons of why Dropbox is the most used and popular solution for cloud storage: Simplicity and functionality. It's so easy to use that anyone can easily create an account and begin to upload documents to the cloud. In addition, you have lots of great functionalities if you install the windows app, offering a great integration with Microsoft Office docs, allowing to display you notifications when several users are working on the same document at a time. Great user experience, and great sharing functionalities.

Cons: The only disadvantage Dropbox has is the storage limit. Compared to other competitors, Dropbox offers you a small storage capacity, having you to pay for more storage. Although, there's a cool referal reward to get more free space. Still, it's quite dissapointing to have so little storage in a free account.
