Pros Being able to seamlessly share files in real-time across our Queensland offices has allowed us to work better as a team and alleviated version control issues we used to experience. Cons We would have liked more instruction about integrating it with Office 365 but once we did it supercharged out document sharing experience. I love being able to access the information on the web and mobile. The desktop integration really sets it apart because I use it for file sharing as well as storing back-ups. I do prefer to use it more than other cloud storage tools as I’m very familiar with it. Pros Dropbox is very easy to use. I’m pleased with the amount of storage I can use, it’s customer support and the ability to collab with teammates and clients. Cons It can be more expensive than other cloud storage solutions and there have been instances of security breaches which has resulted in less trust in the product. Review Source LW Lela W. Pretty quick syncing of files. Pros This is a great program for file sharing and saving your files in the cloud. The syncing is usually instant to dropbox. Also love that is has the option to back up everything on a local hard drive if you prefer for easier and quicker access. Cons I have issues sometimes related to consistent logging into the website platform. Pros Drag and Drop, and sharing. That's about it. Cons Dropbox felt revolutionary when it first came out. But it seemed to just stop improving or gaining any sort of upgrade several years ago. Its UI remained the same, reminiscent of the 2009 Hipster moment. Every time I would talk to a rep about what we were looking for in a tool, they would tell us it would be coming, and then it never did. There was no simple tagging of key words or metadata on files/photos to make it simple to find what we were looking for. Pros The ability to upload and share quickly is a key feature. Uploading and downloading files seemed reasonably fast compared to some other platforms. Cons Managing folders and searching for files was a little harder then expected. Also constant reminders about getting close to limits, and reminder to upgrade. There is plenty of storage on the site so I don't have to worry about space limits. Cons There are times when the site is clunky. But I first started using this in graduate school, and the collaborative benefits were incredible. There were 50 of us, from 15 different countries. And Dropbox made syncing our work incredibly easy, even in the midst of such diversity. Cons I would like to be able to control the pictures uploadings to my Dropbox Business a bit better . Best cloud interface around, super user friendly and good for most businesses if you don't have to integrate with Microsoft. Pros Really easy to use. Nice interface and design. I'm not sure if you already have this b/c I haven't checked, but having a desktop app is a huge perk I've seen with box.com for other work. Pros Storage options are generous, folder and subfolder creation is good and user friendly. Cons Having to pay for more than one user login and not being able to easily sync to other cloud-based providers (which makes sense b/c then we might stop paying, but we wouldn't b/c we only need some of the files moved elsewhere). Pros It’s easy to share files between computers and, unlike with Google Drive, I’ve never had an issue with changes to a file being wiped out. Cons Sometimes the syncing doesn’t start automatically and the app won’t let you launch it so you have to uninstall and reinstall the app on your PC. Field teams, and even remote volunteers, are all working off the same set of materials securely no more email attachments flying around. Pros We use Dropbox Business to work together on media-rich campaigns and grant submissions without any issues. File recovery, permission handling, and desktop sync are perfect for our small team. Cons The Admin dashboard is not the most straightforward. The permissions can get pretty hairy if instructions are not to dig deep with the folders. Technology should be simple, and Dropbox makes it super easy to store the files and share with anyone you want to share with. Pros It is very easy to use. I like the UI. It's easy to store and share files when external parties while able to set different permission levels. Cons Our IT team believe that it was not secure enough and the cost was too high for a similar solution that came for free with our Microsoft license. Cons Tough to lock certain things or limit what people see or could edit and organize. That was a challenge.
