### "Dropbox is a great service that I use daily. It's made my life so much easier."

August 28, 2022

5.0

Dropbox has been an excellent tool for business. It has helped me maintain a seamless workflow between my home, office and other locations where I work remotely. I also love that I can share files with other people and collaborate on projects together.

Pros

I just upload everything to Dropbox and I know its backed up, and it syncs with my phone and laptop. My routine has been simplified. I also use it to share documents. The customers service is very helpful in case of data problems.

Cons

Sharing options are limited even for paying clients, which can sometimes complicate sharing folders with clients.

### "Great Tool for Teamwork"

March 2, 2020

5.0

My overall experience with Dropbox Business was excellent, but I had to drop it due to the high price, which competes with Google Drive. I still use the free version of Dropbox for my organization, especially with everything related to team work, but I have to say that the Business one has better features and offers more space for your documents.

Pros

I love that this software allows to share information in real time. I think is excellent when working with a team. It provides a digital working space, which is very needed these days. Also, people are able to make changes to the same document without loosing its original functionalities. It can opens either with the explorer window (internet explorer, google, etc) or with the file explorer of the computer.

Cons

What I like the least about this software/platform is the price. It's very expensive, especially for small business or organizations. Of course, you can always use the free version, which I ended up doing, but the feature for modifying documents does not work properly. I understand that if you want that to work fine you ahve to pay for it, but I will be willing to sacrificy space for this function. Just something to consider for the developers.

Reason for choosing Dropbox Business

Again, Google Drive does not support excel macros. If you want to open and modify an excel or word document in Google Drive, it must be opened in Google sheets, which limits the features that Microsoft excel, or Word, or Powerpoint offer, and I like to make advanced use of all my softwares. Also, I open Dropbox with my File explorer, which to me, is less confusing than working from internet windows.

Switched from

[Google Drive](https://www.capterra.com/p/161425/Drive/)

I made the switch because Google Drive do not support excel macros. Also, Dropbox provides extra space for your work stuffs with real time sharing, whose access you can control. It is just a matter of sending a link to others for sharing information.

### "Dropbox is the perfect solution to store all my files in a safe, secure and available way at all tim"

July 14, 2019

5.0

Dropbox has become the best solution of the company to store information, regardless of its volume, since this system offers us an unlimited space, we can also share these files with colleagues and members of our team, modify them if necessary and update that data from the browser or any mobile device, which really reduces time and prevents complications such as unexpected transfers to the office This platform offers a large number of applications that are very functional and interesting, as far as our work environment has been felt, since it has improved the performance and effectiveness of the activities in the company. Another aspect that has been very useful to us, is that we have reduced in large quantity the use of paper, boxes of files and the most important thing is that we have recovered physical space that we had previously occupied. .

Pros

This system allows us to store large content files, which are able to synchronize to other computers in which we share important information with our work team, colleagues or users in the network. Its installation was very simple to make, since we only had to download an application and create an account. Dropbox gives us great security since all the files are totally encrypted in keys, the transmission of the data is done through the TLS and SSL protocols, which gives great security to our files. It also offers an application for phones, so we can create a local folder on the device that we choose, which can be synchronized with an online version and thus have all our files available even when offline. Through the Dropbox Business function we simplify the management of teams by being able to monitor all of our company's team. Another aspect that we liked very much is that this system is integrated into Site W, which allows us to create a website, store documents , images, videos, etc., we can also share files.

Cons

I really think that Dropbox is a platform that is perfectly structured in all its aspects, whose properties are very functional, for all this it is the indispensable tool that every professional, entrepreneur or user in general.

### "Dropbox is the single most valuable tool I use. It never gets in the way, and it always works."

June 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

I would give up just about any other piece of software I own/use before I would give up Dropbox. It is the glue that holds my digital life together. And it's best feature? One you set it up, you never even have to really think about it again! My main documents folder is in my Dropbox folder, so every file I could ever possibly want or need is automatically backed up and synced, without me ever having to do anything or think about it. So when I leave the office mid-way through an Excel file I'm working on, I can open it up and keep working from home on a different computer without skipping a beat. That functionality is priceless to me. I'll mention one other feature that has saved my bacon numerous times: version history. Have you ever had the experience where you open one file to use as a template for a new project, and then after working on it for awhile, you hit save and realize you've inadvertently overwritten the original file? I certainly have. In that scenario (or many other similar), I now simply open up version history in Dropbox and restore the older version of the file.

Cons

I hate saying "nothing" for these types of questions, but I can honestly think of no pain points in my use of this software.

### "If I could I would not use a hard drive on my mac, but a dropbox folder"

July 20, 2018

5.0

Cloud Storage as its best, forget about zipping, emailing, uploading to whatever hosting site your files, the best way to keep your files in the cloud is DropBox.

Pros

Your every files and folder in one safe, secure place, easy to access and manage. Our company has a business account with several terabytes, it allows us to keep pretty much everything there, organized and managed. Our employees has access to their personal folders to keep their own files, and also with a set of automation we give them access to other folders, such as HR files, blueprints, etc. It is a great tool to keep also your files in sync, every time someone update a file or adds a file to a folder you will get it right away in your dropbox. The native apps allows you to also have several other feedback like real time notifications and keep a session always open. Dropbox allows you to have a local folder too, so in case you want to work offline you are also able to do it. One other plus, the support team, I contacted them because I had a problem to sign in into my account and they were able to solve my problem in minutes, I was expecting the always we will reply back in 1 biz day, DropBox support team will help you right away.

Cons

If you don't pay attention to the files you have in your local storage it can easily drain your hard drive space dry, there is no automation for removing large file or not often opened files, when you are collaborating on a folder it will just sits there in your local machine. It would be great if you could setup settings like, automatically remove files I haven't use in X time, or do not load files larger than X megabytes.

### "Improve team productivity and consulting deliverables with Dropbox Business "

September 6, 2022

5.0

The product was easy to implement and is quite intuitive to use for the project team and end-users. A cloud storage solution also simplifies the internal IT systems operation and IT process administration.

Pros

Easy to add new users and set up a new project structure. Sharing of documents with stakeholders outside the project team.

Cons

Lacking online document updates when more users are working on the same project deliverable (i.e. document).

### "Business Standard, Customer Service Needs Help"

November 23, 2018

5.0

To be honest, while I still use it, thanks to my last customer service experience, I switched to Google Drive. However, you cannot deny that Dropbox is the standard and if all you need is to save files, you're fine.

Pros

Everyone uses Dropbox, and I like that it is found directly on your Windows Explorer, very easily share your folders and organize them. In addition, Dropbox Business allows you to selective-sync your cloud/computer folders which is enormously beneficial if you are trying to save space on your local drive yet still have ready access to your files online (see comment below). The selective sync process is very easy and is an excellent way to manage your storage space on an ongoing basis.

Cons

What I like least about this software is that I cannot access my cloud files from Windows Explorer, so I actually have to go to the browser to get my files. Also, I don't understand how the team folder works, and after trying to contact customer service on multiple occasions, have either been unable to reach anyone or gotten, literally, nonsensical answers, not once, but on multiple occasions. I thought perhaps it was a malfunctioning bot, but when I asked if they were a real person, they said they were. Their customer service is in dire need of an upgrade.

### "Best Document Management Software for Personal Use and Small Businesses"

February 22, 2020

5.0

Overall, this is an excellent product. I can't imagine using anything else for my small law firm and for my own personal document management needs.

Pros

There aren't many negative things to say about Dropbox. They dominate this corner of the market, and it shows. Businesses nowadays are all about integration and automation. Virtually all other noteworthy software integrates directly with Dropbox, making automation a breeze. Dropbox's integration with MS Office 365 Online now makes it possible to make edits to MS Word and Excel documents right from Dropbox. "Dropbox Transfer" allows you to share or transfer a large number of documents with others, right from Dropbox. And if you subscribe to the "Professional" level, you can "rewind" changes and deletions to folders and documents for 180 days.

Cons

Not really a Con, just wishful thinking on my part: Dropbox integrates with Adobe Sign, which is great. However, right now, there is no integration to Adobe Document Cloud, which would allow a user to do more with PDFs right from Dropbox. But it looks like they are headed in that direction soon. Also, I'm not crazy about the "per user" pricing structure, but that is how most services charge nowadays. I do wish that the "rewind" feature was available for the Business and Enterprise levels.

### "Save anything to your online box - Dropbox"

July 21, 2019

5.0

Pros

Forgot your USB flash drive? No problem, everything is in your private and secure cloud storage which you and your team can access no matter where you are in the world. Dropbox Business is great for businesses as you get storage as much as you want and need. Everyone always has the latest version of the document because everything is automatically saved as you type it. You also get access to all the revisions of documents so in case anything gets wrong you can see which user from a team made mistake and revert to the correct version. Everything is encrypted with a strong SSL and TLS encryption so you can keep even top secret files on this Dropbox because it is almost impossible to decrypt files without knowing the real password.

Cons

I don't like integration with Office 365 because it didn't work well for our team. When few members simultaneously worked on the same document it was a real mess when using Office 365. Maybe was that because our team had the outdated Office 365 version but not the Dropbox problem but we didn't have time to upgrade our Office 365 applications. Also, there is a limit of 120 days for file recovery which isn't stated clearly on their website when we were purchasing this product.

### "Dopbox takes the pain out of having your files everywhere"

January 23, 2018

5.0

you get everything everywhere, you can share with your team, and you can back up what you need.

Pros

A lot of people use Dropbox, it is the best way to store files and to share them, it is just simple. You can store everything you need for your personal use and now with Dropbox Business you can also store everything your business needs. We have to work with others, and that work sometimes requires files to be shared. Be it in an office or if you are a remote worker. Dropbox allows for everyone to have the same version of the file and to be able to know what everyone is talking about (with files, images, videos). It helps you share what you want with who you want, easy ways of sharing, and it integrates with your computer system so it is very easy to use.

Cons

You have to be very careful when you delete files (for example when moving computers or when one computer is running out of memory) because it will delete what you delete from all the places where you are synching. It is not a big deal because they will still have the files to recover them if you do it within 30 days of deletion. But it is best to keep that in mind. Selecting what to sync (which folders) is probably the least favorite part, it should be easier.

### "Powerful data storage, sharing and synchronization software "

October 22, 2022

5.0

Overall this is a great cloud storage option for companies who are looking for a way to store their files and collaborate and share information.

Pros

If you’re looking for a well priced data storage option then Dropbox for Business ticks all the boxes. It allows secure storage and sharing from your DropBox and has a great backup solution as well. It has really robust security and permission management and the two factor authentication is great for security. The load time for files is really quick and there is great synchronization across devices if you have this on your phone and computer.

Cons

The search function and folder-location can be a little difficult to use and get right it’s not as simple as other ones. It would also be good to get some mid level plans as it’s easy to move beyond the basic plans quickly and the larger storage options can be more expensive when you don’t need that much space.

### "Fast and reliable file syncing with a ton of great features"

June 14, 2018

5.0

Pros

My team uses Dropbox Business to sync files across devices and share documents both amongst ourselves and with external audiences. The tight integration with the Finder on Mac means we can treat our Dropbox folders as our default file storage location and not worry about what is or isn't being synced. The 2TB of storage is more than many people even have on their computer to begin with, so we never worry about running out of space. One of my favorite features is the ability to save, by default, all your screenshots to Dropbox. As a result, when I capture something on my screen, it automatically gets saved to the cloud and saves the link to my clipboard. So my workflow of sharing a screenshot is super quick. I also love the ability to selectively sync certain files. That's great for large video files that I want to have access to without taking up space on my laptop's limited hard drive. The granular controls for sharing certain files and folders also makes collaboration a breeze. We deal with a lot of creative assets like logos, color palettes, etc., and sharing a single folder with all of that stuff is one of our favorite features.

Cons

The various types of licenses has really expanded in recent years, and led to some confusing tiers. I worry that they might be headed down a path similar to apps like Evernote where the developers fall victim to scope creep. For instance, Dropbox apps like Paper are interesting, but ultimately not too much more useful than other document collaboration apps like Google Drive (which also allows editing from non-business tier users).

### "I like Dropbox but also feel my privacy is as risk."

September 2, 2022

4.0

Not good not bad. Just nice to have sometimes.

Pros

I like it is so convenient to share large documents via Dropbox and there will be backed up for me if I accidentally delete something.

Cons

I logged on my Dropbox on my personal computer and I also worked from home that day. (We remotely log on to computer in office via another app.) Then, the second day, in the office, I saw Dropbox reminded me my game on steam saved x amount of times on my personal computer. I mean, i don't want people in office to see what I am doing at home. Just for my privacy. Dropbox connected those TWO microsoft account without asking my permission. That pissed me off. And by the way, it is hard to un-link them,

### "Easy platform to shares data in organization"

September 7, 2022

5.0

Pros

We can browse our data from anywhere, and the search options in Dropbox have considerably shortened the time required to retrieve particular material. All our employees have access to all the data they need instead of enabling access to classified material limited to upper-level employees. Thanks to the option to restrict access to various employees' specific folders and files.

Cons

Upgrading from the free version to Dropbox Premium or any other paid plan is rather pricey. An additional fee is required if you need the extra storage space with an office suite.

### "One of the best tools to backup and share files."

December 15, 2018

5.0

I use Dropbox Business to synchronize files between different devices and share documents and other files with co-workers and clients of the organization in a simple, fast and secure way.

Pros

In general I love this tool but there are aspects that stand out like: \* Allows the centralized administration of the software so that the person responsible for it, can manage and monitor the accounts from which the files are shared and the users who access it, allowing to add or remove them, as well as add or delete permissions to users, what increases the security and confidentiality of the shared information. \* It has a backup system, so it allows the creation of backup copies thus ensuring the availability of information or shared files in case of any problem with them. \* It allows to store large amounts of data efficiently optimizing the available bandwidth, through different synchronization systems.

Cons

So far I do not have many complaints about the program, and I think the biggest disadvantage it has in comparison with other similar programs, is that the storage space offered for free slopes is a bit limited, 2 GB barely, so if you need more storage it is imperative to update the account which is somewhat expensive compared to other services.

### "Dropbox: A Collaborative File System"

November 5, 2021

4.0

Pros

I love how are admin team can access this set of files from any entity (nationally and otherwise). The files are organized just as they would be on Word and there are options to make subcategories of folders unlike in Google Drive.

Cons

The system does not allow multiple users to edit a file at one time. No more than 1 user per entity may access a file at the same time which puts this system behind Google Docs in this regard.

Pros

### "Good software to have for business need"

October 27, 2021

5.0

Pros

It's a valuable tool for document sharing, customizing, downloading, security, and time limits. The cost is reasonable. It is also handy for virtual and simultaneous work with multiple users; it has a big storage capacity and automated backups. It syncs with any platform with Dropbox access. It's a fantastic method to exchange files with your colleagues and clients, and the option to share presentations is beneficial.

Cons

It is a decent program in general, but there are alternatives with tremendous potential, more tools, and, most importantly, for a lesser price. It cannot be regarded to be entirely safe due to the fact that the encryption it provides is not end-to-end. The free version is relatively limited, and there have already been competitors with higher capacity, more customization possibilities, and are free.

### "Our secure cloud for file storage."

January 11, 2022

5.0

Experience has always been positive with Dropbox Business for file backup and restore. I used it a lot to share files and sync files in real time from my devices and always keep them safe in the cloud. Dropbox has great technical support in case of problems or questions.

Pros

I have an admiration for Dropbox Business because it was one of the first backup tools I started using many years ago. I started with the free version and today we use the Enterprise. We offer security through 256-bit SSL/TLS and AES encryption and 2-phase authentication. I really like the file recovery functionality in up to 180 days. This has saved us many times when we need to recover files that were mistakenly deleted from the cloud.

Cons

The price of the Enterprise version is a little expensive. I would recommend the standard version if you are looking for something cooperative and don't have a lot to spend.

### "Dropbox Business Review"

August 11, 2022

5.0

Within the e-commerce space it's imperative to us to receive vendor assets that can me used in marketing and for on-site placement. Being able to give the vendor the power to do all of the uploading into the pre-created folders is so streamlined. The messy days of receiving images as email attachments and having to dig through inboxes is over!

Pros

What I like the most about Dropbox Business is the ease of use across multiple teams & vendors. We mostly use it in a capacity that enables our vendors to upload and share assets with our company within the e-commerce space. It's so simple to onboard and create new folders/files for each vendor and within the vendor create sub folders for them to add assets to based on campaign.

Cons

I really don't have any negatives to share, Dropbox Business is simple to use and to the point. Not everything needs big bells & whistles, sometimes you just need to get the job done efficiently and Dropbox Business meets that need.
