Pros: It was very full of potential and there were a lot of options to mark down and coordinate how long I spent on each project.

Cons: It was slow and it took a very long time to maneuver between pages. This was especially noticeable at the end of the day when you wanted to wrap up and finish work.

Comments: Overall very good system

Pros: Ease of use, functionality, system integration, reports, automated functions, note taking ability to refresh your memory at review time

Cons: Cost is a consideration there are less expensive systems in the market, customer service at times was busy and that can cause some delays

Pros: The best software I have ever work with in term of the ease of use and customer service, they really know there business.

Cons: The only con for this software I would say is the cost of purchasing. It is kind of expensive although it's worth the cost.

Overall: I learned a lot with this software on how to work tracking punches, etc.

Comments: Overall, Kronos has proven itself to be a very useful tool.

Pros: I used Kronos with both the Desktop Version and App Version on my phone. The software was extremely easy to navigate and use. The feature of viewing your previous, current, and next week schedule was very useful. Tracking my hours worked, as well as upcoming schedule was very helpful when planning things ahead of time.

Cons: The user password had to be reset every couple of months, which was very inconvenient. The password could only be reset on the desktop. If my password had expired, I was unable to access my schedule. It was necessary to keep a printed schedule as a back up, since this seemed to happen a few times over a matter of just a year. I would be nice if there was an option to reset the password from the app.

Comments: Once you program the system to benefit your company through many trial and error, the ease and navigation is a piece of cake

Pros: Easy to use and navigate once you program the system for your company. There is a step by step system, you can't go to the next step without finishing the prior step.

Cons: programming the system to benefit your company takes a bit of time. a whole bunch of trial and errors

Kronos has a sterling reputation and a great product.

Pros: I like that I can access my employee's time card anytime and anywhere. This makes my life easier when I have to travel for business (or pleasure).

Cons: I don't like that I have to go through so many screens just to amend a time card. It would be nice if this could be made easier somehow.

Pros: Reporting functionality has improved as well as the separated comments and audit sections where cumulative comments can be seen

Cons: Coping and pasting in scheduler seems to take more time than previous versions-you need to be very precise with cursor or it wont work

Overall: Manages timecards effectivly

Comments: We had considered adopting the entire HRIS platform but it was cost prohibitive and included a constrained and limited business intelligence platform.

Pros: We were able to automate our timekeeping process. We were able to generate real time reporting and also ad hoc metrics.

Cons: There was no ACA support There were not metrics or business intelligence dashboards Every user required the purchase of a software user There was no geo position software

Comments: So far, so good is my experience with Kronos. I enjoy learning new things all the time and I have only the utmost respect for those technicians that, given the right feedback on what we need, they seem to know exactly how to help each and every time.

Pros: I believe the entire suite is satisfactory. Our employees use the Kronos clocks to log their time and enter PTO requests. Managers get the request and approve them as they see fit. KWC has tons of reporting options, lots of ways to view data. And by tons of reports I mean an overwhelming amount that would be great for analysts to use as needed for managerial decision. As an admin I can assign different reporting and security choices to user as needed for the individual to perform their work. A huge plus: their technical support staff always happens to be

Pros: The software is easy to use, allows me to record time and monitor time for my direct reports. Software offers good functionality and ability to track time.

Cons: Software seems to be slow especially when initially logging in. Also, it continuously asks me to install Java and when I install it, it does not seem to register that process.

Pros: Easy to use, cloud based system. can login anywhere, multiple report options are available to review various data

Cons: too many authentication needed to login in. it can confuse staff and remembering all that information is too much

Comments: I would not recommend Kronos to anyone. I wish I had done more research before signing the contract.

Pros: Reporting is about the only good thing that Kronos has to offer. But you have to do a lot of customizing before coming up with a good report.

Cons: Unable to track unpaid time off Poor implementation process Charges for something that we are unable to use due to lack of knowledge from the implementation manager.

Pros: Easily integrates with ADP, easy to update, loved the reporting feature - can be set up to automatically email weekly reports to supervisors, great customer service.

Overall: The reporting feature was a real time saver.

Easy to clock in. Like the fingerprint scan for extra security.

Pros: I like that this product is easy to navigate. It allows for you to check your time card approval online as well as correct missed punches. I like that there is added security such as fingerprints scanner.

Cons: I do not like that there is no back button. If you accidentally navigate to the wrong area while using the touch screen you must restart the whole process.

Pros: The product was similar to many other products we were looking at and had many of the same features. It was not lacking any important features.

Cons: However, the customer support was lacking and I felt that flexibility and its ability to match our company needs were lacking.

Pros: The reputation of this product is quite true. Professional platform with a variety of offerings for most industries. Very customizable and can grow with the company. The demo was very comprehensive.

Cons: The training is self-directed for the most part as the discovery/implementation phase is done remotely. No onsite training.

Pros: It is a fantastic piece of software to use for daily time keeping. Love that you can see Accruals easily.

Cons: When trying to add pto it has to refresh before approval. if we could just type pto and hit approve, that would save a lot of time.

Pros: Report Builder function to allow to build and view data, when our version was current the product was top tier.

Cons: Not user friendly, java plugin, updates, LDAP, Report Export Formats. Issues with support was a big con in our region.

Pros: Hours reports are easier to do with Kronos. Time cards checking is a breeze with Kronos. Customer Support.

Cons: Upgrades. I currently have to use the computer in IT because of all the JAVA updates - Messed up my Kronos.

Comments: Good product.

Pros: Kronos is very comprehensive in that it does a lot of things to help manage and improve business processes. Automating timecards in particular is what I like about them.

Cons: This product is kind of pricey, especially if you do not use all of the capabilities that it was designed to do.

Comments: If one would like to manage one's workforce more efficiently, one would most likely need this software!

Pros: Makes paperwork and payroll editing a breeze. Would not know what to do without this software. Very feature loaded. Allows you to keep glances on payroll, edit pay times, add pay times, keep track of time-in, time-out, EO'd, vacations, etc.

Cons: The amount of keystrokes, shortcuts, and just knowing how to navigate the software in initial run. However, learning curve is not difficult, and pretty much repetitive once we get the hang of it.

Pros: It is easy to use after extensive usage and it allows you to do many different features such as order supplies, put in maintenance orders , and look up patient data and results of tests.

Cons: It is very out dated and hard to learn to maneuver around in. It logs you off very quickly if you are not typing.

Comments: Kronos Workforce Central is probably best suited to a large, multi-location corporation. If you are a small business with, say, under 100 employees, it is probably overkill.

Pros: The system is very flexible. It's underlying database is SQL-based, which means it will run on many database platforms, and be accessible to your database administrators and analysts. The timeclocks are very reliable.

Cons: The version 6 user interface is awkward, and because it is written in java, it can require some degree of configuration management of your desktop browsers. With flexibility comes the need for a lot of customization of your timekeeping rules. While it is SQL based, you'll have to invest a lot of time in understanding the table structure if you want to generate reports that Workforce Central can't do. Cost of product is very expensive, as licenses are required for managers, users (if, say, you want your employees to be able to view their own data). Upgrading to new versions is challenging and requires purchasing new licenses.

Comments: We are on an old version, so it's difficult to give managers the reports/info they need. But personally, I like the functionality .

Pros: Kronos is always upgrading to make a better product. I would like to see advanced scheduler and attendance implemented.

Comments: Awesome system and I would recommend to others.

Pros: WFC is very user friendly. If I do have an issue that comes up their support team is awesome to deal with. They do not just fix the issue, they explain how the issue may have come about and why they are recommending this fix. Everything is much easier in the Cloud and I like the on line ability to open and view my cases.

Cons: I have spoken to many payroll users at conferences and one drawback is the fact that users are not mandated to enter in Comments and/or Notes in Kronos. this would help tremendously.

Pros: Software is very flexible and has a lot of functions. Reporting looks great on screen but not as well when printed.

Cons: Implementation was a nightmare. Read your contract carefully, they will charge you monthly fee even if they have not finished implementation and even after delays caused by them. They do not care about customers. Deadlines to meet are unreasonable. Team members come and go. Horrible service. Now stuck with them for 3 years and cannot wait to get rid of them. PURCHASER BEWARE!!!

Pros: Easier than figuring time cards by hand! The system can be configured to pay different shift differentials to different sets of employees.

Cons: I lost the historical view and abilities that I had before. I lost a way to delete a moved amount. I lost the moved amounts tab that only appears when a move is made. I now have a much longer scroll to view just 1 time card since it only show 2 punches per line. I lost the approval tab that shows what manager approved the time card.

Pros: Ease of use, great customer support from sales to service to global support, able to customize to our needs, easy for our end users to use and understand, having divisions set up by industry, being HOSTED in the cloud saves us time and money!

Cons: The only con I have is our industry post-acute care is usually combined with all healthcare and our needs are very different from a hospital however, Kronos has come a long way in the past few years by dedicating more time and staff to our industry.

Comments: Kronos is widely used and continues to improve.

Pros: Great support and easy to learn. I think it's a good product that can help small and large companies

Pros: Ease of use with the interface. It allows for users to have the ability to enforce company attendance policies regulating required starting times and limiting staff overtime hours, through applications that track the employees' time at work during the day.

Cons: If unfamiliar with system can take some time to get acclimated. New or inexperienced supervisory staff comfortable in dealing with data in smaller chunks, and managers searching for answers to staffing or production problems in more traditional formats, might be overwhelmed by the search and research options available as part of the Kronos programs.

Pros: With Kronos you are able to see employee hours in real time. Within minutes you can see when an employee has clocked in or out

Pros: Kronos does what it's literally supposed to do -- allows users to record their hours and managers to approve them.

Cons: At least the version we're using feels very, very outdated. It requires Java and doesn't run well when you don't use Internet Explorer. The interface isn't user friendly or intuitive at all. It's confusing to submit hours, approve overtime, see how many vacation hours you've used, review past hours, etc.

Pros: System was easy to learn. Clear options on features. Allowed for multiple reports and ability to not only look at raw attendance data but transform it into costs analysis.

Cons: Could get confusing on running reports. Setting schedule patterns was extremely difficult. It proved an issue every time in getting it to line up with other associates of a same department.

Pros: We installed Kronos stations at all our locations and it simplified our whole HR and payroll systems by enabling an easy to enforce standardization of our timekeeping policies.

Cons: The only downside (and the eventual reason we stopped using the system) was some trouble we had with biometrics.

Comments: I just wrapped up working with a great group of Kronos Consultants team in doing an upgrade. I had the best team a client can ever ask for. Because of my knowledge and testing skills, this project was a major accomplishment for our team. It was a great experience to be able to be the Project Lead in charge of an upgrade all by myself and mastered it with no issues. I have truly been working to accomplish me short term goal and that's to learn all I can learn about Kronos so that I can become a consultant for Kronos and/or Workday.

Pros: my experience from using it on the front end and actually configuring the system has been a major accomplishment for me.

Kronos has worked well for what we need. Customer support has been lacking at times.

Comments: I really like KRONOS. It's a great product.

Pros: Punches are reflected in real time. System is customizable to company. Updates are always great. They take in consideration all the laws with the state that you are working in.

Pros: There is definitely an ease of use with this system. The initial set up takes some time (as does any system), but the contacts you have are wonderful in assisting with that.

It s very easy to maneuver & use the entire system & there are great knowledge tools to use.

Cons: There are a lot of products to use, so in order to get the best of the system, you have to buy everything, from Talent Management to Leave to Scheduling.

Comments: I would be unlikely to recommend this product due to the unfavorable experiences we had during implementation and recent upgrade to version 8. I find it difficult to find information on the community site and do not care for the new format. I think support needs to work just a little bit harder to get it right.

Pros: It has a lot of potential to be a great system. It's relatively easy to use. More than one person at a time can work on the same page.

Cons: It doesn't live up to its potential. Although it claims to be, it's not a fully integrated system. It is not consistent in the functionality.

Pros: If configured correctly a very powerful tool, will allow you to drill down into the details. Has helped us save a lot of $$ and time.

Comments: Kronos WFC continues to listen to the users to develop new and innovative ways to look after business operations. It's the working relationship with their customers that puts Kronos at the head of the pack.

Pros: Configuration vs. Customization. Kronos WFC allows you to configure the system to meet the needs of your business, which allows a large range of options to the company. Customization usually requires a custom build that is not part of the product and can cause issues down the road when changing your business needs or applying an upgrade to the system. Kronos allow the user to learn the system set up and configure the system to meet their needs. This translates to a scaleable software that can easily adjust to changes in your business. Kronos is also a very easy system to learn and manage, both from a user perspective as well as a system support side. The features of the software allow businesses to change on the fly without disruption to business.

Cons: From a cost point, Kronos WFC is a big investment and can sometimes be a challenge to show ROI. As a standalone product the ROI is real and significant, however adding licences for each additional suite product can add up.

Comments: Only being a system administrator and "power user" of Kronos for close to two years now, I am still what I consider wet behind the ears as one would say. But I can see the power of WFC more and more as I continue to work with it and become more adept in the system. Pros: We are comfortable with it now that we have had it for so long. Once you get acclimated to it, it is easy to keep time updated. It's nice that even when an update is happening and we are offline....it still tracks the time because it's in the cloud. I am very happy to be in the cloud now.

Cons: Doesn't integrate with Ready well. Not a single sign in. We have separate sign ins for each Kronos product. Not enough detailed reports available. Needs to be able to give managers & Supervisors more access to other departments-employees without having them report directly to them. This helps when filling in for other supervisors.

Comments: "After the implementation" team is needed. Someone who knows all the ins and outs to ask you 6 months down the line after you have a clue about what is going on. Comments: I have been a Kronos customer for almost twenty years. The software and hardware provided by Kronos continue to improve and keep up with and exceed industry standards. I would recommend Kronos WFC for any medium to the large company requiring a Time/Attendance, Scheduling, and/or Attestation solution. The customer service is great and they will let you do everything yourself or can provide full support. There are also plenty of candidates to hire with Kronos experience. Incoming employees have often used Kronos at a previous company and get up to speed quickly.

Pros: Kronos does everything you need for a robust corporation. Pricing is a la carte so you only what for whatever products you need in whatever quantities.

Cons: Kronos may not be the right fit for a mom & pop company with limited requirements.

Comments: The product has been a good step up from what we had be before. It is capable of more calculations and automation.

Pros: I like the genie feature for quick reporting and also the complexity that the interfaces we had build have.

Cons: System speed is often an issue. The reporting is very limited and not easy to customize. The genies also have limitation and you cannot combine information from a detailed genie with an accural genie, causing us to have to do a lot more work in excel. Response time from KGS is slow and case seem to be left open with no resolutions for too long. I find that I have to constantly monitor the case log and send updates asking for meetings or timelines when I can get answers/help.

Comments: Trying to schedule time off for a future vacation is a big huge hassle. Timecard hides current date after just a few work sessions forcing user to scroll down. It should know the date and bring the user to the current day.

Pros: Auto figures out the hours when start and stop times are entered.

Cons: No list of what future time off you have requested of the status. No details on how much vacation you will accrue by a future date. No confirmation of what you have submitted to the manager for approval. No monthly calendar scrolling to block out time on. Time sheet forces an extra down arrow for last week of a two-week work session. Slow as could be during peak usage times.

Recommendations to other buyers: Stay away from this software if you can, if not learn to deal with it.

Comments: It must be helpful to HR but it's a total pain for the users. If I leave work 2 hours early (PTO) and clock out a minute late, it cannot figure out my correct hours for the day. If I arrive an hour late but the clock in one hour and one minute late, it cannot figure out my correct hours for the day. A manager needs to adjust my time in these cases. Scheduling time off is not too difficult but the system has no way of telling you how much total time you have remaining for the year, it can only tell you how much time you have accrued through the end of the current month. And if I schedule to leave at 2:00 for the day, I have to request to leave at 1:00 because it cannot figure out lunchtime.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: PTO calculations. Would be nice to know how much PTO we have left for the year. Some co-workers have lost days at the end of the year because they had more time left than they thought. Our department keeps track of our PTO on an excel spreadsheet since Kronos can't. My manager has to make manual adjustments for someone every week.

Recommendations to other buyers: Paper time cards are a better option for users. But it must be stellar for our HR department.

Cons: Cost, support, turn over , turn over in people, turn around time.

Overall: Buyer beware. They charge you for everything. Unless you fit their established guidelines you will have to customize your system.

Recommendations to other buyers: Best advise go with someone else. 2 years into a project to upgrade and migrate to a hosted solution we are still waiting. They have had turn over of project managers, key integration specialist. Feeling of having to keep telling them who you are and what your current setup is. Then to add insult to injury they literally charge you for everything. For a global company this is piracy at its best.

Comments: Kronos is very easy to use. Although it wasn't the easiest software to learn, it was definitely comfortable to use once learned.

Pros: There are many customizable features on Kronos. Kronos orders employees neatly according to seniority. It is very easy to manage payroll. It is very easy to do reports on overtime, vacation time, personal days, and sick days.

Cons: Sometimes, when you manually enter overtime the system does not recognize the information the first time.

Comments: Kronos has a lot of whistles and bells, so if you have deep pockets and a need to manage timekeeping for a large number of employees in different locations with unique needs by location, Kronos may be a good fit. If your timekeeping policies are not strict (i.e., you allow employees to flex, work from home), I would recommend a less expensive, simpler tool for timekeeping. You may get more bang for your buck if you also use Kronos HR and payroll modules (we do not).

Pros: The software has been around for a long time and is not buggy. Most of the issues we have observed are due to the configuration. The implementation folks were very knowledgeable. We are using the latest version of Kronos (v8.0.11)

Cons: Configuration is VERY complicated. We did the majority of it on our own to save cost (Kronos charges $180/hr), and the set-up and roll-out to over 1,500 employees took over a year. The interface with our ERP is also clunky and a bit of a black box. Kronos changed their customer support portal in October 2016, which was right in the middle of our launch, and they did not migrate all of the documentation until a few months later. That was not fun.

Recommendations to other buyers: Many health systems use Kronos. I recommended talking to someone in your industry who is using Kronos before you decide whether or not to purchase. Every employee needs a Timekeeper and Employee license, whether or not you use the mobile app. The apps require a separate (less expensive) license. Managers also need a license. Costs add up quickly.

Comments: The updated version of Kronos has been so fantastic. We've used it for over 6 months and it is so nice to have everything integrated into one portal! We were previously using a different time keeping system, and compared to that, Kronos is a lot easier to use.

Comments: This software is almost too easy to use. Everything is laid out in plain sight for employees to track their hours and pay. I logged in once a week and reported my hours and BAM all the information necessary was transferred to HR.

Comments: I believe this product is very helpful in tracking the clock in and clock out of employees. Offering the fingerprint really allowed us to offer and hold our employees accountable.

Pros: Tracking, specific employee #'s, and the opportunity to include the fingerprinting clock in is extremely helpful.

Cons: Sometimes punches do not cross over to the system. This forces employees and supervisors to use the additional time to check all clock ins and clock outs to ensure pay is correct.

Comments: I utilized Kronos during my tenure with a national retail organization. It did the job I needed it to, but nothing within the software was all that intuitive or easy to use. It lacked in its ability to guide me through the best possible outcome when it came to scheduling during peak hours and more. I believe with built-in coaching this tool could provide a lot more value to its end users.

Pros: Users have more control over their own time

Overall: In a call center environment, Kronos takes a lot of pressure off of senior leadership when it comes to managing time for an entire team of people. Running reports is also very painless. Employees have the ability to request time off discretely, as well as receive responses directly. They can also see their respective PTO balances, and audit/approve time stamps daily.

Comments: Have been involved with implementing of Kronos at numerous Manufacturing Facilities. I found a high level of Quality of Design and rarely did we ever have bug issues with the software or with interfacing data to other systems. The technical staff has always been very helpful and when questions came up as to transferring data to General Ledger systems.

Pros: Stability and Innovation

Cons: Can't really come up with any cons. The only thing that I can think would be more directed to the users of the system. I have been using Kronos software since 1991 at various locations. They could improve the training of user sites by improvement of training the trainers that provide training support at the user level or nontechnical level.

Recommendations to other buyers: Plan and Fully Commit to any Project or do not start that project. Commit resources for a successful implementation

Comments: Worked with kronos for both approving my time and my employee's time. We have been using it with HCA since i can remember! Always simple to use the support is great and almost always see minimal downtime with it.

Comments: Kronos is one of the main systems I am in and out of everyday. I use it to clock my time, as well as keeping up to date with my PTO. For what it is intended for, it gets the job done. The user-interface could be a bit more friendly and it when you start a new pay period it does not default to it until all of the prior is approved so that can cause some confusion. Overall I like Kronos better than other time clock software i have used in the past.

Comments: Amazon recently migrated to this product, and its been a nightmare ever since. Its extremely slow; and needs a remote connection over RDP to a Windows machine instead of being web based. This seems so much like the 1990s. The user interface is non-intuitive, and takes a ton of training to figure out to how apply for leave and how to approve a leave.

Comments: I LOVED the old Kronos. It was perfect. It was fast and functional and allowed me to do my work efficiently and quickly. Kronos 8 is a nightmare. It is slow, laggy, inconsistent and makes my work take twice as long! It is not because it's hard to understand, I GET it, it's because it is so so so slow and always lags behind my speed. It is very frustrating and makes me really regret we made the change.

Pros: Easy to use Has everything you need to be a scheduler and payroll clerk.

Cons: Slow Laggy Looks pretty but isn't functional Will affect your efficiency

Comments: I have been working at my current establishment for three years and we use KRONOS to monitor everything! This system gives a detailed account of all the hours you have worked and calculates the pay. It gives you an almost accurate amount for your hours (actual pay may differ by cents) but otherwise it's an accurate account of your pay.

Pros: Timecard is definitely a pro and allows you to see when you have blocked in or out.

Cons: The system runs VERY slow most of the time. I wouldn't log in if I have somewhere to be in ten minutes.

Comments: Kronos hit all of our objectives for selecting a time keeping software. For us, ease of use was most important. Second was the reputation of the vendor. Kronos is known world wide. What we forgot to ask during our software selection process was about implementation; who would be on the team, how long would it take, etc. What we've found is you get very junior people on your team, which can create a lot of problems during both the testing and implementation phase. The problem solving on issues and follow up has not been satisfactory. You're a small fish in a very big pond.

Pros: We were just looking for a time keeping platform, and this fit the bill. We're a small library, so didn't need a lot of bells and whistles. We also liked that if we needed to add additional functions like payroll and HR in the future, we would have a system that could add these features at a later time.

Cons: If you are a small company, you don't get the best talent from Kronos on your team. They are international, so sometimes there are cultural barriers as well. Our experience wasn't so much that as it was having very junior developers who had to fix issues multiple times, and even created some new ones. Implementation is taking forever.

Recommendations to other buyers: We didn't ask enough questions regarding implementation when we were selecting a software. This is an important step-don't miss it!

Comments: In order for system to work the in house support must fully understand the companies policies and proceedures

Pros: if installed correctly it can make scheduling almost effortless

Pros: I like the different options you get from WFC, and the reports to be able to pull information.

Cons: Certain things are difficult to use, and the support is often hard o get he correct answer and solution the first time. As a hospital we some specialty items for timecards and such and some things are not able to work how we need them.

Cons: Website requires Java on the client. Causes a lot of support issues. Has very specific browser settings to handle the cached data.

Pros: In my organization, we use Kronos as our HRIS system. The best function within Kronos is the timekeeping system, which has allowed us to completely get rid of hand written timecards. Within the timekeeping system, we have also utilized several of the add-on features such as delegate authority allowing managers to delegate their employee's timecards to other managers within their departments when that manager is out of the office or on vacation for approval.

Cons: Having used Kronos for several years now, my biggest complaints is that the system overall is not very appealing to the eye. In recent updates, Kronos has tried to make the appearance a little bit better such as the new tile look for the employee homepage, but this is an area that I believe the system still could use many improvements. Overall, the system is good, but at times the appearance, titles for different functions, etc. could be greatly improved.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be sure to ask about pricing for service package updates. When Kronos does version updates to the system, organizations are required to pay each time they want to get the latest and greatest package.
