Our transition to Aware3 was seamless and everyone we encountered on the Aware3 team was helpful, quick to respond, and really pleasant.

Pros

Very easy to add new features, link to our website, etc. I love that I can post events to our website and have it automatically show up on our app. (Before switching to Aware3 we had to upload these things separately and something would get forgotten without fail.) It's also very useful that it ties directly to our CCB account so that signup forms are always available on the app.

Cons

It took me awhile to get the hang of graphics. The library of graphics can't be edited.

ability to be present in app environments and not just website. Good organization of our content in an easy-to-use app.

Pros

It's easy to use and a fantastic value for the money. As a small church with a part-time communications coordinator, we don't have the time and energy to manage things on many platforms simultaneously. We've been pleasantly surprised with how much we've been able to do through this app - even things like geographically targeted push notifications with a few simple clicks.

Cons

I would love to see more opportunities to interface with Church Community Builder. Features have been added that have been really helpful, but it would be great to continue to develop that functionality.

Pros

Very simple to use and provides all basic elements well. Always receiving updates of improvements that are made and simple tutorials to learn the process.

Cons

There are a few unusual approaches to some steps, but Aware is open to make changes. You can count on them to look into suggestions and make some serious improvements.

### "It does what I need"

It give us one central location to push everyone to.

Pros

It does have a nice contemporary look that is completely customizable for your organization. It gathers all our different platforms to one central location for our congregation to use.

Cons

It took a while to figure out how they wanted things done. Some of our custom buttons were very hard to create. There was A LOT of trial and error trying to get everything to look right on IOS and android platforms.

Cons

Little advanced control limits you a little. However, customer support is great and helping you accomplish what you are wanting.

This was a great step for us to have our own app. Wthout Aware3 we would not have been able to afford to provide our guests with such great information.

Pros

With Aware3 i am able to keep all of our guests informed whether they are on campus or at home. It has so many options that we use it to show our customers every part of our business offerings from food to calendar to recreational options.

Cons

I would like this much more if everything was more WYSIWYG format. They have made many improvements over time but still feel like DOS in some places.

Great functionality at a solid price point for our needs.

Pros

The app they gave us is easy to update, looks good, and does everything we need it to. Their video, rss feed, form, and calendar options all integrate nicely with our systems, and anything that doesn't have a direct integration, you can link to your website seamlessly. It's great.

Cons

Would appreciate some different or more flexible visual options. The current look works for us, and I feel we've done well with it, but I feel it could look better.

### "Overall it's great solution."

It's a low maintenance mobile presence. It makes it easy to provide a mobile solution to churches that otherwise wouldn't have one. We have a higher engagement level due to the integration with our ChMS. The customer service is very responsive.

Pros

The base app is very affordable. It's integrated with our church management system (Church Community Builder), which allows us to have a greater level of engagement. The features are easy to use and understand. I like that Aware3 continues to add feature and functionality to the app. It requires very little management and oversight once you get everything setup.

Cons

My biggest complaint is the pricing structure. I really don't like that some feature cost extra to get. I feel like if you pay monthly for the app, any update/upgrades should be included. As an admin, I also wish that I was able to add more feature tiles myself. The process of getting feature tiles added to our portal is a little clunky. Also, our geo-targeted push notifications don't work. They did 1 time, and have failed multiple times.

Pros

I like the ease of use and maintenance. I am not super technical, and feel very comfortable changing things. I like that the updates happen quickly. I like the wide variety of different access buttons, and the ability to send push notifications in a variety of different ways.

Cons

That you have to use their financial software to access the text messaging. We are locked into contract with someone else and it is working well, and we would love that feature. I also, wish that I could add or subtract buttons based on my need, and not have to access a customer service rep to change my available buttons. Sometimes I need more one time link buttons.

The software helps us to stay connected to our members and improve attendance at our events.

Pros

Very easy to use and self-manage, but when support is needed, the team is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. They are constantly updating and enhancing features that are relevant and support our objectives. We cannot say enough about the incredible service we receive.

Cons

The only thing we'd love to see that is not available today is an embedded click to call and a different way to add our podcast feed. We currently use a Soundcloud workaround to solve both issues but it is not ideal.

We are saving money by leveraging capabilities of the app along with using Planning Center for Scheduling and our member database.

Pros

Cost is very reasonable and customer support has been super.

Cons

We need more reporting capability out of the giving part of the app. I would like to create a report and have it saved to run again. I don't like having to do the same steps every week to get the data we need. Even better would be to have the ability to schedule a report to run automatically.

Pros

The thing I like most about this software is that it is easy to create and update forms.

I wish the form had more functionality for images within their forms without being an html wizard.

Pros

It's pretty easy to manage. We love the notifications and the Sermon Notes are used weekly. We also like that you have some flexibility to change the look and feel of the app with different buttons and icons if so desired. The Aware3 is also really responsive to user needs.

Cons

I wish that the sermon notes would automatically transfer to the Feature Hub. It's a small thing but sometimes I forget to do it in both. This is also the same with our Announcements. Wold be nice to have a bit of better integration with CCB as far as forms and profiles

### "Limited features, restrictive template, good for giving, but additional features are disappointing"

Pros

The giving feature, text-to-give feature, and having a database of those who give are helpful features.

Cons

Limited features make it so you have to fit what you already do into the template of the app, instead of the app fitting into and supporting what the church does. Also, the forms are very hard to use, and when someone submits a form, the way the information is accessed is very difficult.

Pros

I like text to swerve feature. It helps us send specific information to our congregation. I think the more we could interact with our church the better it would be for us. The CCB interface works well it just would be better if people could check in through the app too.

Cons

I think the look could be better. To intergrate graphics easier so that we can upload flyers and such. We need to be more flexible in promoting things within the app. The look of the app has to be more interactive from a design point of view.

### "Aware3 Helped Our Church Launch"

3 years ago we planted a church in downtown San Diego, Aware3 was helpful with staying in touch with our members and regular attendees. Since we are using Aware3's "Give" platform, it has been seamless to download all transactions into our accounting software. The overall pricing for the software fit our budget; at the time, we were a new church, and Aware3 provided us a way to have an App. The app also allowed our congregation to stay informed of Community Groups and our weekly sermons.

Pros

We like the following: Give, Groups and pushing out our weekly sermons.

Cons

The hardest part was just getting started - our problem, not Aware3. As a small church, we relied on our volunteers to set up the app, It was a little rough with them navigating through the initial setup.

Pros

We have overall enjoyed our experience with Aware3. Our attenders at church love being able to bring up message notes during the service, sign up for things happening, give, and a lot more all at their fingertips.

Cons

We wish updates would happen more frequently. We like that Aware3 is always striving for more and better things with the app! But we wish it could do a little bit more/be more integrated with CCB. Also wish we could choose specific dates to give, not just bi-weekly. ;)

### "simple but not integrative "

Pros

The app was for the most part easy to use. It was easy to upload notes for people to see in regard to a weekly message. I liked that I could see the givers on a rolling list. I liked the dash board

Cons

It doesn't work with CCB webware...the notes area was not very intuitive. If you put a number in there in an outline form it would not do a continuous numbering order. So I had to put parenthesis around numbers to get it to work...very annoying
