Having an app that integrates with our data management software (CCB) and website has been a game changer for us.

Pros

It was so easy to set-up and it integrates with our payment systems and other software programs seamlessly.

Cons

Occasionally certain functions go down, however the customer service has been exceptional about helping us through those times.

Pros

The software was exactly what we need to achieve our goals. It was an easy setup and the Aware3 team walked us through the entire process.

Cons

The only con that I have is the outbound text option is ala carte which means it requires an additional fee.

Pros

The variety of features, ease of management, and integration with our backend database make this an ideal tool for our congregation. I love being able to quickly integrate existing tools from our website and CCB installation into our mobile app without having to manage multiple setups and multiple data stores. The support team is also very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Cons

I wish we could get updates more regularly - it is a bit frustrating to hear that a new feature was added that we could benefit from, but then have to wait 6 months for our next update.

Our overall experience with Aware3 has been great and has increased signup rates as well as online giving.

Pros

The app was easy to setup and is simple to make adjustments to. The backside interface is very intuitive. Integrated online giving through the app has been a game changer that many in our church make use of.

Cons

It would be helpful if the interface for inputting notes into the app had more built in functionality. Simple text formatting options would save time.

The team at Aware3 are the best. They are proficient with the product and its capability. They are open to suggestions even if they cannot always implement them because they aren't necessarily high on the priority list. I love working with the team. They truly care.

Pros

Ease of use and the flexibility it offers to "make it our own".

Cons

As a user, the home screen is a little clunky on my iPad. If I am using my iPad in landscape, the app opens up as portrait and will not right itself. Even after moving my iPad around several times, it takes a while for it to catch on that I'm trying to use landscape mode.

We can get important and urgent info to users like weather issues. We can send reminders out if we have important events

Pros

To be honest I have a media director that I just tell what to post and when so I don't interact with the software at all. I don't hear any complaints from him or suggestions to find something else so that's a good thing

Cons

Android phones do not get the full message on their phones. It only displays 6 buttons at a time so if a user doesn't scroll they could miss something we offer.

Pros

Ease of use, able to even do tailor minimal coding for the notes feature. Looks really nice and accessible.

Cons

Not sure I have a least. Maybe some plug and play artwork or a template for cropping art to the appropriate sizes.

Pros

It integrates pretty darn well with Church Community Builders, our church's CRM solution. The key for us is the ability to send notifications to mobile devices, which Aware3 delivers at a price much less than that of the competition.

Cons

If I were to complain about anything, it would be that some of the features (live polling, chat, and outbound text) seem to be priced higher than their value. But we just choose not to use those features. I hope Aware3 doesn't use that as a model going forward...that the newest developments will only be available at higher pay tiers (vs. being included in the existing subscription cost). The geo-targeted notifications are very hit-or-miss as well, although I understand that this may be more of a carrier problem than an Aware3 problem. Finally, as a bleeding-edge Android device user, it sometimes get the feeling that the Aware3 app is designed / tested with Apple devices in mind first. But they've been very responsive about responding to (and fixing) Android bugs.

Pros

Ease of set up for our staff and ease of use for our clients. From start to finish there was good communication and tremendous support. We met all deadlines and the rollout was easy for our clients. We had over half of our congregation download the app during the first week.

Cons

Cost. It is worth it in this digital, phone-app day, but it is still somewhat expensive. We had to shift some things around in the budget, and all our staff chipped in from their respective areas. We made it work, and I'm glad we did. But it took some maneuvering to get everything going financially.

This has been a great mobile platform to connect to our CHMS. Also like that development of new additions has been consistent to improve the platform. Like that we can have a central place to send our attenders and the flexibility of the system also allows to to connect to our website.

Cons

Most of the cons that we originally had have been addressed through development of the platform.

Gave us an app with little technical or programming knowledge. Otherwise, it would have take a long time before we got an app off the ground.

Pros

I only use the App portion of Aware 3, but find it easy to use to keep our app up to date. Simple and easy to use for adding sermon notes and integrating with our other backend applications.

Cons

In relation to the App, would like to be able to change graphics and feel of the app easier. Notes section could be easier for a volunteer to use. Also the ability to easily add new users (volunteers) to manage particular portions of the account would be nice.

Pros

1\. Great customer service. From demos to a timely help ticketing system, they've got you covered and answer any and all questions. 2. Ease of design and use. Very easy to create the app you want and have access to their graphic designers with any hiccups. 3. Time from first contact to app in store. Through all the demos, creation, design, and availability in store is a reasonable and fast time frame.

Cons

My one con is more for Apple. Having to create an account in their apple developer program is a process and if you don't have all the necessary information to begin with it can make the process even longer and more complicated. It doesn't cost anything but this new program is necessary if you want an app in their store.

### "Bait and Switch"

Pros

I liked the pitch. I loved the pitch. It answered so much of all of our needs as an organization and we were stoked to get involved with a company that saw our values. The rollout of our app was swift, which was nice. The communication on the front end was pretty good, I understand.

Cons

Unreliable. A lot of features weren't as easy to implement as they let us on to believe and when we had issues with those said features, we were upset to find we couldn't use them. Quality assurance was single-handedly discovered by our organization. If there were bugs, we were always first (somehow) to find them. After wrestling with the workflow for a couple months, we found out that we had signed on the dotted line with a company that promised us many things that they couldn't/wouldn't deliver.

Pros

The user experience in app is solid, reliable, and is easily brand-able from church to church. It looks and feels like our church, but we don't have to do any heavy lifting to make it work reliably! Also, FANTASTIC customer service. Incredibly responsive and friendly.

Cons

The administrative backend is challenging to work with, and is not as user friendly as the front-end user experience.

If you're looking for an app that you can launch quickly and easily, then you must consider Aware3. High level of functionality, but simple to set up.

Cons

Being able to set up the push notifications so that the entire messaging can be seeing when people receive the notification on their phones.

The giving portal is probably the most important, right? We're also still trying to figure out how to leverage other aspects of it.

Pros

It's a slick user interface to put in front of our congregation that makes us feel proud to put out there.

Cons

I find that some of even the most simple formatting things aren't available, for instance when creating a Campaign you can't have line breaks in your text. Excellence is found in the details. I would prefer a customer service number to all in emergencies or for quick questions sometimes, but I understand the email-only system.

The best part about the software is that it is easy to use. I have never designed app tech nor am I a coder. I am more technological than the average person, but their software makes it easy for simple drag and drop integration. Anyone can do it!

Cons

The worst part about the software is everything offered at one flat rate... there are tiers of availability depending on pricing.

Pros

Easy to use, great customer service, friendly back-end software. Aware 3 keeps adding additional features such as the sermon notes which are a great way to keep people connected to the church and growing in their faith.

Cons

We would always love more features - but there really aren't many negatives. Could the podcast interface be improved slightly with more functionality? Better iPad interface so the screen will rotate? Maybe more integration with CCB?

Customer service is great. Experienced some minor glitches. Pretty easy to use over all.

Pros

The ease people have to give online and the integration with Church Community Builder.

Cons

The people profile section is unclean and disorganized. People just keep creating profiles that need merged. I experienced glitches with trying to merge profiles. Wish I could search transactions by fund. Wish the Campaign could have more than 1 fund linked to it. I especially would like Aware3 to be able to automatically count gifts given to a FUND that is linked to the Campaign to he total given amount (even if the giver did not choose "Campaign.")

Pros

The features are good for the app and online giving tools. Very functional and customizable to exactly what we need. What makes this software worth the cost, however, is the fantastic support we've received. Having never done online giving before, their help in setup, launch, and updating has been awesome. Send an email...get an answer...it's that simple.

Cons

The graphical portion of setup was a bit intimidating. If I didn't have graphics experience I may have struggled more with the initial setup stage.

We use aware 3 for our church to help reach our congregation and to keep them abreast of upcoming events.

Pros

I liked that aware 3 was easy to use and fairly intuitive to learn.

Cons

I did not like the limited functionality and it's inability to integrate with Rock RMS a system that we use, which required a lot of double entry on admin staff.
