I would definitely recommend this tool for other audit shops. Pros Teammate+ is user friendly and easy to use, has very useful functionality for audit project management. I love the email notifications for workpaper reviews. Customer support is super helpful whenever I reach out to them for an issue. It's great for audit process management. Teammate is a really good value for our organization and ensuring our company is in compliance with industry standards and also internal standards. Cons The TeamInsights reports could be improved and I would suggest more customization of reports. There is a learning curve for some of the new users on our team. It took a couple years but we are up and running well with auditors keeping their TM materials current and powerBIs connected to TM are leveraged daily to report on status, ease reporting to SMT and audit committee. Big win for us. Pros \- Being able to have multiple windows of TM+ open at one time. - Tying of the audit plan to the risk assessment. - Projects currently accessed automatically appear at the top of the project list. - Customization of the Taxonomy - Creation of Word Templates using the Audit Report feature Cons \- The inability to "hide" changes to the global hierarchy so they do not appear in future risk assessments. We refresh our risk assessment annually which includes the adding or removing of auditable units. - The lack of reports automatically available. Those that are available are subpar. - The user guide is significantly lacking with regards to rolling the risk assessment and moving incomplete audit projects forward. - No good place to insert procedure guidance - if link to the procedure, then the guidance requires sign-off each time. We are currently maintaining the guidance outside of TM+ which is not ideal. - When you deactivate a user - the user disappears from the access screen rather than remaining with the status stated as deactivated. - Coaching notes lack formatting capabilities. Pros Central Repository for all IA documentation, Best User friendly IA application, Prompt Support, Knowledge sharing portal, etc., Cons We had one overdue unresolved issue related to "Failure of the Consolidated Email Notifications" being sent by the TM Application. This issue was raised in the initial setup phase (done by TM Technical team in Feb'2024). Although it has been almost a year but this support ticket has not been resolved by the TM Support team. While there are always things that could be improved, I do think that the overall functionality is great and makes this a great tool to get the work done. Pros I like that I am able to have everything I need in one place - key information, reporting functionality, testing/documentation, ability to store documents and share files/folders with others, import excel files for shared editable spreadsheets, control over who has access to various areas or reports our team shares. Cons Some functionality around documenting in the test forms can be difficult or inconvenient - for example, with the feature to now edit in word/excel, any changes made to the document throws off any tick marks/boxes in the workpaper making it more difficult to make changes that way. Also, for reports that I have created, if help is needed from the support team and they add in any columns/make adjustments, I lose the ability to make any edits to the report. TM+ needs a lot of improvement and updates to meet its customer needs. Pros Provides a platform to electronically store and review audit working papers. Cons \- Inflexibility to customize the TM Insight reports and dashboards to stakeholders needs - Weak risk assessment functionalities e.g. non linking of strategic and process risks/scoring, no option to include additional factors (e.g. time since last audit, executive management concerns etc.) to be included in the total risk score - Changes in audit report are not reflected back to the project automatically. - Its a formatting nightmare to extract audit report from TM+ and needs a lot of work to fix it. - Follow-up process and workflows require improvements. - Multiple bugs and issues which are always mentioned by support that tit will be fixed in next upgrade. During planning stage, it is structured to prioritize those with high risk areas. Pros The TeamMaate + can be used by multiple users at a time. This feature is best for my team since most of our engagements are in a group set up. Cons We have some features that are not being used, possibly because we cannot configure them or align them in the way we need. We spent time addressing this during the transition. There are some frustrations at times, but generally a smooth experience once you know how to navigate the software. Pros The customization of the backend to be able to make it work with our reporting and the support staff are very responsive and helpful. Cons As a user, the structure and format take a bit of time to get used to navigating. Secondly the bugs, for example. there's been different issues we've experienced with the teammate integration getting stuck so it can't open documents or check in which was causing lost work.
