Pros

Ease of administration of members statistics and general club functions. Also attendance functions are quite smooth

Cons

Admin Page and related icons could be a bit more user friendly (widgets maybe?). Somehow new club members are finding it 'hard' to adapt to the Members Area

I love the Club Runner Program. Our Club has been using the program for many years. We stopped producing a paper Bulletin and a Club Membership Directory. We decided to go fully with Club Runner, despite the fact that some of our members choose not to use computers, or only rarely. The integration to RI is exactly what is needed, and saves us a lot of hassle with ensuring members are properly registered. However, since the last upgrade, trying to enter new weekly bulletins, has been extremely frustrating. We used to only enter a few weekly stories and archive them after a couple weeks. The new version seems to store a huge amount of information, which we have not been successful in archiving. Unfortunately, now we do not have a person sufficiently skilled and dedicated to make regular weekly updates to our site and produce ebulletins. This is very unfortunate for our club, as we rely on the Club Runner to be our electronic bulletin to our membership.

ClubRunner has saved us an incredible amount of time in administration of our Club. Communication to members is easy using the built in email module. The Attendance module and its integration with the district makes for a huge time saver.

Cons

There are times when the system doesn't do what you expect it to do. For example, removing photo albums from the Home Page is not very intuitive and sometimes doesn't seem to work.

The younger members of our club were searching for way to bring Red Lodge Rotary Club into the digital age. ClubRunner provides webpage presence, email communication, ebulletin options, and Rotary Internation database integration all within one platform. For a reasonable monthly price, we can focus on spreading our message and less on technical platform issues. Highly recommend this product for Rotary clubs and other non-profits.

When dealing with both versions I have learned the differences but when instructing others I often get confused and give instructions based upon District version to Club users. I would love to see a forum module on both versions. Although one can set up sub folders for photos that are used on the site in stories, if a photo is added by copy/paste it goes into a single folder that eventually gets very cluttered. If one moves a photo to another folder it looses it's link. Would be nice if the link would automatically follow the photo. The Bulletin module on District ver will not accept embedded video in the same fashion as the webpage. Although it can be done via a Mickey Mouse fix it is time consuming. Customer service is nothing short of fantastic. Eli and Zack are topnotch. 99% of my small problems are due to an old brain and not the software.

Out club's ability to deal with the esoterica of the internet is not great. We -- "we" being one or two members who knew a little about HTML -- struggled for several years to operate our own "built from scratch" web site. The product was not beautiful, and when two key people left the club, it fell into disrepair. Then an adventurous non-techie got us into ClubRunner, and it has given us a professional-looking site that is manageable by relatively (but not entirely) non-technical people. We don't use all of its features, but almost all of those we use work well for us. The exception is the optional payment-processing feature. We took one look at the required contract and the pricing and ran the other way. But we are delighted with the "big-league" appearance it enables our small club to present to our publics.

The Tomball Lions Club has been using Club Runner web software for this past year. My web master is my brother and he has done all of the work on my website. Thanks guys, The ClubRunner Tomball Lions Club web site www.tomballlionsclub.org has received so many wonderful comments from so many people. It has increased Club access by the use of the contact tab. I think we have the best Lions Club web site anywhere in the U.S. The Club Runner support is second to none. With the help that the Club Runner support team has given makes the maintenance of the website is so easy. The credit goes to my brother (my webmaster) who is also responsible for the Magnolia Rotary Club website. I tell everyone about my experience with Club Runner every chance that I get.

I found it very easy to navigate the website whether to find a member or to do monthly billings to members. However, it is not so easy in locating documents, perhaps, due to our lack of coordination in posting documents from different people. I still have some difficulties to post documents with PDF or MS Words! Overall, it's a great tool to use.

Pros

Majority of the sub-categories are user friendly, really easy to navigate.

Cons

The speed needs to be improved! Especially when it comes to billing members.

ClubRunner works well for our Rotary Club. As a database, it is excellent. (It would be better if Club members would actually update their personal info/address when things change, rather than expecting the new information to magically be updated for them.) The email function is a great tool, and works well. We do not use all the modules, as we seem to have a number of folks who do not like to try and adapt well to new technology. My only reservation has been that going from one menu to another can sometimes seem to slow the whole system down a lot. With each revision, ClubRunner is getting to be better, and more reliable and with better functionality.

Pros

ClubRunner's product is well thought out and intuitive but I am most impressed with their live product support. As one would expect during the design and roll-out we has our share of questions. I was able to speak to a knowledgeable and helpful person 90% of the time on my initial call...without any hold time. The couple of times I had to leave a message a support person called me back in a matter of minutes. ClubRunner's customer service and support ranks right up there with the best.

Cons

There were a few custom modifications we unable to accomplish. On the upside, ClubRunner support suggested a satisfactory work around for each of them.

When we upgraded, our webmaster experienced some difficulties with two issues and was not able to solve them. I emailed ClubRunner on afternoon of 26 May and had answers by 11:00 AM the following day with very explicit instructions and explanations for the issues. They even helped me with partial solutions to both issues as examples to help me. In a day where emails are apt to be ignored or mysteriously misplaced, a company who hurries to help customers is greatly appreciated. And I must say that anytime I have ever had issues, the solution was delivered quickly and simply. Keep it up!!

Our Rotary Club uses Clubrunner for everything! It is a repository for our membership details, not only to update and maintain the list but also to add new members and track attendance. Meeting documents and historical information are stored for ease of use. Each member has a login and is able to access and upload information. The one drawback is navigating the web design portal. Adding logos and designing the homepage are not as intuitive as it should be. Nevertheless, it is still a great system to keep us organized, maintaining our records and allows for direct interface with RI.

We've been using ClubRunner for a couple years now, and it has great features and is easier to use than other solutions in this space. But the most outstanding aspect of this is the phenomenal customer service. It's not uncommon to get a call-back on a problem where someone walks me through the solution, or to get more quality supporting data so they can fix it on their end. Normally I would expect companies of this size to never reply at all, or to respond with a fairly useless email days later, but the ClubRunner support team is amazing. EVERY time I've used them.

I am a new Club Runner user ( about 6 months now). I am using the website feature and have found the interface to design and publish a web page to be very user friendly and intuitive. Starting from scratch, I had to only call tech support several times when I was not able to figure something out on my own. In most cases the answer was so simple, I was embarrassed I had to ask. The customer support has always been first class. I highly recommend Club Runner. Great product and superb customer service.

I started from scratch 6 months ago and have found the web site creator particularly easy. The Bulletin editor has taken more time to get used to but there are so many features that can be incorporated into the bulletin using ClubRunner so they take a while to learn. Maintaining the membership list is a breeze and emails can be personalized very easily. There is no doubt that some reasonable computer skills are needed but the support team are fantastic and the backbone of the programme.

This program has mixed reviews within our club. It requires a reasonable level of computer skills(somewhat lacking in our club). I am responsible for the bulletin and find it frustrating that transferred documents are radically changed and PDF's not acceptable. I have stopped using this feature and create the bulletin as a PDF then use club runner email service only.
