Pros

  • Overall, we are very happy with Vitus Vet. The software is so much more robust than what we use it for, but the features we use are great.

  • The texting feature is what I liked the most about this software. I love how easy it is to use and you can copy the messages and import or paste them into patient files.

  • This is great for appointment confirmations and reminders. It helps with compliance.

  • I find it fairly easy to use and our clients who use it, like it. The customer service team is very friendly and eager to help - which says a lot about a company.

Cons

  • We are finding a high volume of communications going to spam that wasn't happening from our email. Medication can't be under $1.

  • Technical glitches are the most frustrating parts of VitusVet.

  • There is no way to to send a mass text to clients. The appointment requests do not correspond with what appointments slots are taken.

  • I am sad that Vitusvet dropped the upload of x-ray images for the clients to view on their phone.

"Great app for all pet owners"

Overall: Great experience, love the new innovative solutions.

Pros: The two way texting feature between client and our vet hospital's fixed land line phone. The software translates into a chat app. Starting to integrate this with telemedicine where clients can text pet pictures with questions. It is also a great appointment reminder tool. Clients can easily view their pet's medical records on VitusVet app, and share them with others caretakers and third parties such as goomers or other veterinarians.

Cons: The medical records are available for viewing too soon. Not flexible appointment request options. Does not fully integrate with AVImark like Rapport.

Reasons for Choosing VitusVet: Had the most flexible solutions for a veterinary practice and client users.
Reasons for Switching to VitusVet: Rapport was reminder and client communications software integrated with our practice management software, called AVImark. Rapport did not have a great app for client use, and clients had no access to their pets' med records and couldn't text us back.

"Love all of that Vitus Vet has to offer!"

Overall: Love it! The system is super user friendly, vitus pay is awesome love the daily total and text to pay!

Pros: Love payment processing, the refill request and the vitus vet connect!

Cons: Just wish the vitus connect had a little bit better notifications esp on the phone app

Switched From: Weave and Rapport
Reasons for Switching to VitusVet: Rapport was awful! so unreliable and a lot of our text did not come through which made so awful situations. Weave was too much and not easy to use

"VitusVet improves communication"

Overall: VitusVet has improved our client communication by allowing our clients to reach us multiple ways. It is overall easy for both the practice and the client to use.

Pros: Ability for client to request medications or appointments.

Cons: Reminder system - not always correct & have to sent too many. Campaigns are difficult to format.

Switched From: Demandforce
Reasons for Switching to VitusVet: Wanted a program that included client messaging.

"Customer service is very responsive and easy to commuicate with."

Overall: Overall experience has been good and customer service is always very responsive.

Pros: The customer service representative, Leslie, is always helpful. Also, very responsive. The website is also easy to use

Cons: "We found that the appointment request and medication request options were making our workflow more difficult, so we decided to turn them off. Instead, we partnered with a different company for online scheduling and texting. While I wish we could take advantage of all that Vitus Vet has to offer, there are other companies with better options.

"Excellent Product"

Overall: I have always had excellent support from Vitus Vet in the event that I have ever needed help. They are very on top of it and have easy to follow instructions for changes that need to be made.

Pros: I love the two way text option. This is a great tool to help us communicate with our clients. We've always had great success with our Request An Appointment feature as well.

Cons: The campaigns are a bit difficult to use/create. I think there could be better ways to help this be a smoother, more user friendly process
