It’s always going to be my first choice. I’ve tried other website creation platforms but to me, squarespace gives you more and makes it easy to standout. Pros I LOVE squarespace. It’s really easy, almost too easy, to create a website. I’ve been using it for over 6-7 years now and the changes they’ve made have been easy to adapt to. The choice in page layouts are not complex and it’s worth the money. Cons I wish I didn’t have to pay extra for the scheduling feature and that it was more CRM friendly. Cons Some features which are quite useful are part of the higher price tier, for example to be able to use any custom code. Pros I liked the high amount of templates. You really can just put your images and copy into most of them and end up with a beautiful website. It had decent SEO features. Somewhat easy to navigate and use. Cons It is not in any way worth the cost. They charge more for nearly every aspect of service from payments to web hosting to domains. Customer support is kind, but lacking. The user interface is buggy and often extremely confusing. I also constantly encountered bugs on my site. They're helpful but not necessarily the quickest, and the site is easy to use after you familiarise yourself with its peculiarities. A good option for more basic systems. Pros The pre-made templates are clean, neat and there are a lot of them so it will save you some time particularly when you're working on a smaller project where it would be impractical to make up something from scratch. Its drag-and-drop editor is intuitive to use, and its responsive design capability is good. Its use is also relatively straightforward, making it an excellent choice for training clients or other non-technical team members. Cons Occasional spacing and elements not lining up can be a nuisance. Their system can also be clunky when it comes to debugging custom CSS. They place some additional functions behind better payment levels, such as advanced analytics, which can be irritating in case you have a restricted budget. Payment processing is great to have as well, the fees are a bit higher than expected, seeing your paying for the platform, but i like this platform. Pros I love features that are built in, and it makes building a website so easy and gives you lots of options to add and update. Love the fact that it can be used on the phone via the app as well Cons I'm not even sure, there's so much i like about the program. The only thing that I would like to have is probably the cost. It is quite expensive to be paying monthly, but its s till such a strong program, it kinda makes it worth it. Also, I haven't needed to, but I think if I needed to move off the platform, I wish there was a way to integrate the program with another platform so if you needed to switch platforms, you have something that will transfer everything, not having you redo everything again. Cons While Squarespace is great for beginners, that is where it also holds itself back as you can't use advanced or many custom features. I find it easy to show clients how to end up managing their own website. Cons The templates are great, but they are limited. Some of the individuals modules aren’t as strong as I’d like. The ‘Menu’ module for restaurants or pricing is complex. It doesn’t allow much variability in use. The pros far outweigh the cons and it is the best service out there for beginners or people needing a really professional but easy website. Pros Squarespace made it so easy to make a really professional looking website with no experience. That was invaluable to me. It's so easy to adjust layouts in a pretty wide variety of ways. Cons It's difficult to customize colors to work for every page. You can only choose from a certain number of palettes and while you can customize your palette colors, you can then change something on an individual page within a palette. Additonally, it can be really hard when you're trying to change something on the palette to figure out which options you're actually needing to change. The ease with which a person can build a beautiful site for little knowledge of web development is second to none. Cons It’s a little difficult to reach someone at customer service if you need an answer quickly. Though they always follow up, sometimes it takes a day or more.
