Can sometimes over-simplify the website creation process to a point where it heavily limits your creative ability. I was surprised that it was very easy to use, I built a 7 page website in a couple of hours using Squarespace and I found it easier than using a Wordpress free or premium template. Squarespace is perfect for someone who wants a website, hosting, ecommerce capabilities all in a single solution. Cons I wish it had better reporting capabilities and more integration with 3rd party applications. Still a very good alternative to wordpress and other platforms. I was against Squarespace for some time, but once I got into it I realized that its user interface and overall system is quick and easy to use. Pros I love how easy it is to set up content. So long as your content is top notch, the Squarespace will give you what you need to make your site look professional . Cons There are times where I want to make things a little more custom in terms of features, but it's nothing that makes me want to quit using Squarescpace. Review Source GB Gary B. We also needed to build a website that people with limited computer skills could work with and make changes to. Squarespace was the best platform to solve these two issues. Pros This software is easy to use and has a shallow learning curve. Just about anyone with basic computer skills can pick up Squarespace's interface and being building there own website. Cons You are restricted to a walled garden which means should you need features not included in Squarespace you will need to start again on a new platform. This however does not effect most users. September 19, 2018 5.0 Pros The templates are beautiful and the work flow great for beginners. The templates really stand out as being modern, sleek, easy to design and have a real impact. Designing our first company website was really easy and intuitive using Squarespace. There are plenty of documents and help online as well which means anything advanced is easily within reach for a beginner. Cons The amount of choice can be overwhelming, distracted by the amount of design and template options. March 7, 2018 4.0 Pros It seems to be very popular and has a lot of templates. I ended up going with another program but I'm sure it is ok. Cons I found other programs/products that are less expensive for the paid version and easier to use. That was a while ago so maybe things have changed on the ease side. Excellent customer service. Cons It can often be slightly annoying to rework the templates. There are certain "required" sections of a template that might not be customizable for your needs. They make it easy to create a stylish site with their templates but still customized enough to be unique and personalized. Cons The website editor itself feels kind of clunky and sluggish. You can't backup your web pages - so if you accidentally delete a module or two from a page, there is no "undo" button to get back what you just deleted, which is a pretty big deal. SS requires too much time to learn Pros Squarespace offers beautiful templates and the ability to switch between templates. It’s type is beautiful as well. Cons I’ve had to manage pre-designed SS websites and without some coding experience, it’s been difficult. Unlike other drag and drop editors, SS is not easy to make changes on the fly. Maybe it was the sites I worked on, but, after two months, I convinced the clients to move to another provider. I really love that I can write a blog and have it published directly onto my facebook page. Cons I don't have the knowledge to change layout like I would on some things. For example I wanted to list products I recommend for my clients. They layout for the code was really limited how I wanted it to look.
