It's easy to update and maintain as well. Pros Squarespace is extremely easy to set up and publish with. It makes the website building experience much less of a burden. I had a client that needed a full website asap, it was incredibly easy to sign up, and start creating the site, I loved the pre-set templates which made it easy to begin and select a design that's appealing and perfect for your brand, and then customizing those templates was incredibly easy. Pros Squarespace was insanely easy to learn! I am NOT a computer wiz, nor have much experience with IT, but I'm a marketing professional and helping to create and update websites for clients is essential. Squarespace was so easy to learn, that I was shocked and immensely thankful. I actually created an entire website for a client from scratch, that looks professional and amazing, and it barely took half the time I thought it would. Cons Sometimes it's hard to re-arrange certain elements within the site, but it's not a dealbreaker, just have to spend the time to arrange the elements carefully. Review Source AZ Angelica Z. Pros NO necesitas tener tantos conocimientos en diseño web para tener una web atractiva y funcionando con menus, paginas y formularios de contacto. Las plantillas están para ayudar mucho porque te ahorran mucho tiempo de edicion, ademas de que aprender tocando y viendo. Otra cosa es que podes ver directamente como va a quedar el diseño antes de publicar. Tambien no tenes que preocuparte por el hosting, ya que lo tiene integrado. El período de pruebas es de 14 dias, que te permite aprender. Cons Personalmente como desventaja no encontré como integrar algunos servicios de terceros para ecomerce de Argentina como Mercadopago. Cons Sometimes clunky. Sometimes glitchy but it is also most likely based on connection. Cons I didn't like how it was a little more complicated it was to set up. To be fair I didn't watch the video's but it did take me a minute to learn how to set everything up. But, way easier to set up than coding it myself. In general, website creation has gotten more difficult over the years (particularly entering the text). Squarespace is less than pleasant to work with in this regard, but it is rich in features. Pros Squarespace has a lot of features. It's relatively easy to create a robust structure for your website. Many cool features are free like the ability to create calendars, add events, and create passwords for different parts of your website. Creating a menu system is nice and flexible. Adding links and making them operate the way you want is intuitive. Cons Entering text and formatting is the most difficult. I have over years' experience in entering text in a range of software and I find Squarespace fairly difficult. It's not smart about the default format to use on new content. Your formatting options are also limited unless you want to seriously customize. I also had problems changing the colors of my links. Just not fun entering text. I've also had issues with the ability to save current changes as a draft without publishing. Review Source BM Bridget M.
