### "Solid and continually progressing platform"

February 20, 2026

5.0

We've built sites in Squarespace for over 8 years. We've seen a lot of improvements in each iteration of the builder and have consistently been able to quickly create professional, clean websites. For some of our clients, the drag and drop builder is ideal for them to make their own updates (honestly, why are you paying someone else to change a photo?) There are limitations to what you can customize/change without CSS, which is also a good thing when it comes to clients accessing their sites, too. :) On the few times we've needed to connect to customer support, the team has been responsive and resolved matters quickly.

Pros

We love using Squarespace to build sites for clients who need an easy platform to navigate, with a very user friendly interface. The templated sections make building very fast and the sites are always clean with hardly any technical issues.

Cons

The level of CSS you need to know for customization can be an issue for some people, however, there are good online resources to teach you. The pricing is also sometimes an issue for clients who are lured by sales on WordPress sites.

### "Not worth the money, but technically does the job."

February 19, 2026

2.0

Never returning, but it's not a uniquely horrible product. I could use it, but I would rather put my money into tools that offer more rather than just charging more.

Pros

I liked the high amount of templates. You really can just put your images and copy into most of them and end up with a beautiful website. It had decent SEO features. Somewhat easy to navigate and use.

Cons

It is not in any way worth the cost. They charge more for nearly every aspect of service from payments to web hosting to domains. Customer support is kind, but lacking. The user interface is buggy and often extremely confusing. I also constantly encountered bugs on my site.

### "Squarespace: The simple professional platform"

January 28, 2026

Overally, I was impressed by the all-in-one solution that SquareSpace offered that enabled me to get a professional-looking website live much quicker.

Pros

I mostly liked the design flexibility, which was made possible by the professional-looking templates that are also mobile responsive.

Cons

I did not like that the more advanced features were only available on the more expensive plans which is different on other sites.

### "Creating a Personal Brand & Residual Income with Squarespace"

October 30, 2025

5.0

I've been using Squarespace for years and they keep surprising me with new features that I didn't even know that I needed but they make my business and brand run more smoothly and increase my online profits.

Pros

I can easily create a personal brand and an online destination to sell my digital products all in one place with Squarespace. It has so many intuitive features, page layouts, template design, links, video and image capability, that it brings my brand to life in a way that my audience can easily connect with and understand.

Cons

Depending on the design templates, you can't get always get all of the features, which isn't ideal when you love a template or when you switch templates for a brand refresh.

### "Really good but some limitations"

February 13, 2026

4.0

Overall its very easy for me to do almost everything myself which has saved me a lot of money however some limitations that could make user experience better and customer experience better.

Pros

Its super easy to make your own website. Ive done everything myself. There are helpful extensions you can add to make it a bit better and easier. The email campaign capability is very helpful for me as a small business with a small subscriber list.

Cons

There are some limitations and some user experience issues that require external help for example having to add an extension for changing currency. I believe the SEO is not as good as shopify or there some limitations there also with the checkout experience for the customer. Small things like breadcrumbs, back buttons but they have a big impact.

### "Results are in, Designers LOVE Squarespace!"

October 14, 2025

5.0

I have loved using Squarespace for many years to design my business websites, as well as for area organizations and clubs who needed a simple, efficient website. (With many bells and whistles that are not intimidating)

Pros

Squarespace is a great platform for all levels of website design. Those with no design experience will find the templates easy to use, and those with will be able to intuitively use the templates and then expand upon them to personalize and tweak.

Cons

At some point, there is a limitation for what you can do with your design templates and for the advanced designer you may grow out of this platform. But fortunately, Squarespace is always making improvements and often a need is met by an improvement within the platform.

### "Professional templates for the everyday user"

August 24, 2025

4.0

My overall experience has been great! They are fairly user-friendly, and any obstacles can typically be solved through their Help articles or customer service. I don't plan on switching products anytime soon.

Pros

Squarespace has beautiful templates with different features, making it easy for a young adult with no website/design/coding experience to create a website for a small business. It's fairly user-friendly, meaning I could make all the edits myself. I also like that their email campaigns seamlessly integrate with my website, newsletter subscription storage, and the overall design.

Cons

Although it is made for the everyday person to create/edit their website, there are definitely some customization features that seem clunky, although this does vary by website template.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Squarespace

The templates were more to our liking at the time. They seemed more clean and professional, and the process of setting one up seemed more simple (if we needed different features, maybe we would have chosen another product, but we have minimal needs).

### "Squarespace delivers a smooth, visually impressive website‑building experience."

December 27, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Squarespace it that it delivers a smooth, visually impressive website‑building experience. It’s ideal for users who want a professional‑looking site without diving into code or juggling multiple tools. Customizable platform, its design quality, reliability, and ease of use make it a strong choice for portfolios, small business sites, and online stores.

Pros

What I like most and appreciate about Squarespace is how polished and consistent everything feels, with lots of features with great customer support. Pages load quickly, the interface is clean, and the mobile‑responsive designs require almost no extra work. For small businesses, creatives, and entrepreneurs

Cons

What I like least about Squarespace has limits when it comes to flexibility. While the drag‑and‑drop editor is easy to use, it can feel restrictive if you want very specific layouts, newsletters or advanced customizations. Pricing is also on the higher side compared to some competitors, especially if you need advanced features.

### "Very solid site builder solution with just few flaws"

July 21, 2025

4.0

Overall since we've tried a lot of platform, we can suggest it as it managed to give us all the tools we need with very few tweaks to adapt it to our specific needs

Pros

Squarespace helped us launch a professional, visually compelling website in record time, that truly reflects our mission. We had with no technical expertise but we can still easily update content, which is crucial for nonprofits with limited resources. Compared to other platforms (especially Wix or WordPress, which became a nightmare of plugins and updates for us), Squarespace delivers some good value: Effortless embeds, all the needed integrations with analytics and forms, mobile responsiveness...

Cons

Squarespace’s Events tool falls short for nonprofits with standard or regular programs. It misses the time zone support and creates confusion for virtual attendees (a custom CSS fix helps, but shouldn’t be necessary). The lack of recurring events can be frustrating. We host weekly workshops and have to manually duplicate each one. A workaround we used was to build a permanent 'Programs' page with a calendar embed (with an external service like Google Calendar), but this shouldn’t be something needed for a premium platform.

### "Worth the Investment"

March 16, 2026

4.0

Pros

I really enjoy how easy it is to use Squarespace. There are a variety of templates to chose from, so you can find something to fit your brand and needs, and I like that it's easier to add custom elements as well. I also think that it's pretty easy to add your domain to their website. Overall, it's a great value for your money and helps organizations of all sizes get their name out there.

Cons

One of the downsides to Squarespace is the payment feature. Although it is easy to collect payments through Squarespace's processor, it would be better for nonprofits if we could integrate with other payment processing servers. The other con is customer support can be confusing. In a day and age where companies are leaning into AI, it would be easier if we could have a person to talk to instead of endless FAQ page.

### "After 2 years of using this platform, I am still very happy & impressed with it."

October 20, 2025

5.0

It was really positive, have no plans to try other website platforms & recommend it to everyone I know who is looking to build their own website.

Pros

Very easy to set up a website, has fairly good integration options with other platforms, provides a lot of features that help make your website look really good without needing experience in website design or coding.

Cons

### "Professional, Easy, Entry-Level"

May 6, 2026

4.0

Overall this is a great service and I'd highly recommend it. The pros far outweigh the cons and it is the best service out there for beginners or people needing a really professional but easy website.

Pros

Squarespace made it so easy to make a really professional looking website with no experience. That was invaluable to me. It's so easy to adjust layouts in a pretty wide variety of ways.

Cons

It's difficult to customize colors to work for every page. You can only choose from a certain number of palettes and while you can customize your palette colors, you can then change something on an individual page within a palette. Additonally, it can be really hard when you're trying to change something on the palette to figure out which options you're actually needing to change.

Pros

### "Approachable Site Builder with Design Limitations"

April 16, 2026

4.0

I've used Squarespace occasionally over the course of the past 10 years for clients whose sites are built on the platform, and I have to say that while the feature stack has improved, the flexibility in page design really hasn't. It still is a solid choice for tech-averse people though, as the backend UI is very simplistic.

Pros

Squarespace makes it really easy for anyone to build a website, regardless of technical or design ability. The interface is also very simple, which makes it feel more approachable for people who are a bit more tech-shy.

Cons

I really hate how limited layouts on pages are, since everything revolves around the "square" grid system. This often leads to awkward spacing between elements and the characteristic "Squarespace" look that all sites built on the platform seem to have. It's also impossible to make individual changes to fonts/colors/button design without completely modifying site-wide universal settings. If having more design and even functionality control is a high priority, this is not the site-builder for you.

### "Best Website Software for Non-Coders"

December 18, 2025

5.0

I love Squarespace. I manage many websites for my own businesses, for family, and for clients. Hands-down it’s the best website for someone who doesn’t know or doesn’t want to learn coding.

Pros

Squarespace is an easy to use all-in-one platform. It produces clean, fresh websites with a few clicks. There are numerous ways to go deeper for fine tuning a website. I find it easy to show clients how to end up managing their own website.

Cons

The templates are great, but they are limited. Some of the individuals modules aren’t as strong as I’d like. The ‘Menu’ module for restaurants or pricing is complex. It doesn’t allow much variability in use.

### "My take on Squarespace"

Smooth and empowering—helps individuals and small businesses go live with good-looking, fully functional websites fast. For those with more demanding or specialized needs, there are some tradeoffs in terms of flexibility and long-term scalability.

Pros

It balances powerful, professional design with simplicity and accessibility. That means less fuss, less learning curve, and a site you can actually be proud of, even if you’re not a developer.

Cons

Sstarts to feel restrictive just when you want more freedom, complexity, or the ability to scale. Plus, it’s hard (and sometimes costly) to leave after you’re invested. These are tradeoffs for stability and ease of use.
