### "The best web design platform available"

August 4, 2019

5.0

I am designing 99% of my clients websites on Squarespace. It helps me get to market faster and easier, and deliver a product my clients love.

Pros

I have been designing websites professionally for over 15 years and it's very rare that I don't design on Squarespace for clients. It's easy to use, the templates are beautiful, and there are so many features and endless flexibility.

Cons

I wish custom code injection was available on the basic/personal levels. As of right now, you need to upgrade to the business account to inject any code in the header or footer.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

### "Absolutely fine!"

March 23, 2021

4.0

I've used this software before and it really helped me with my website in the past. It has some good features and not difficult to use. You pretty much get what you pay for. Also, know that if you are aiming for really professional websites I wouldn't suggest you use Squarespace. But if you just want to set up a decent site in a short amount of time, I would definitely suggest you this software.

Pros

First of all, it is extremely easy to set up websites in no time. It has some cool and modern-looking templates that you might want to consider. It is user-friendly and not much knowledge of coding is required which makes it a good choice for many companies and people. Even though I didn't struggle much with anything whilst using this software, support was always there to help.

Cons

The way that the client can't change a lot, implies that expert clients are restricted and don't have much freedom. Other than the lack of freedom when choosing templates and editing fonts or just the way the website looks, I don't see any other downsides to this software.

I needed to design an amazing-looking website in a limited time, so I had to choose software that makes this easy for me. And Squarespace was much easier to use than Wix so I switched to it.

### "So easy to use, my mom could build a website!"

June 17, 2022

5.0

Aside from providing information to the public about or restaurants, we also use it as a platform to host our private training videos for our employees. We create private pages (either with or without passwords) and send them to our teams through QR codes. By hosting the videos on these hidden pages, we can change the video as much as we want and the QR code will never change. I can also see the traffic of what pages get visited the most which is usefully in determining what both our customers and employees are looking at.

Pros

Squarespace is an incredibly user friendly experience. I had no knowledge of coding when I started when I started site design, but that didn't hold me back in the slightest. Drag and drop, templates, video hosting, photo galleries. It all makes getting info about our restaurants out to the community a breeze.

Cons

I wish there were some more options for text customization. It feels like there's a hand full of fonts and colors you can use without getting into the nitty-gritty of coding the text in yourself. There could be a middle ground option to lets users make bigger changes if they want without coding.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

Squarespace was the first site builder I knew of through podcast advertisement so I checked it out first. After using the free trial for two weeks, I realized it had everything I needed and didn't look further.

### "Squarespace review "

December 17, 2021

4.0

So far so good it’s a better option than Wordpress especially for someone who does not have time for coding.

Pros

It comes with prebuilt templates that you can just customize to your need. They also have lots of sleek design with option to have a customer domain email with g-mail.

Cons

Sometimes there is limitation to how you can customize the provided templates. Currently they don’t have functionality to host courses and you will need a separate software/provider. Also there are some adds on like appointments booking that is not included in the plan and you will have to pay a separate fee for that.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

Easy to use

### "The best website customization tool for anyone"

February 27, 2019

5.0

I'm mainly using Squarespace for both my personal portfolio website (I'm a graphic designer) and my startup's landing page. The various templates provided by Squarespace serves practically any purposes you could need a website for, so after a couple hours of research I was able to pick out the perfect templates for each sites and have a decent-looking website up in a day (although it took much more time afterwards with the specific contents).

Pros

Squarespace is extremely simple to understand, customize, and create a beautiful-looking and highly-functional websites. They have one of the best customer supports. The platform is very user-friendly for developers, designers, and people with no website-building experience alike, with simple drag-and-drop tools, features explained in simple buttons and natural languages, and a separate dev platform for those with coding skills that want more customization. The templates provided are all simple and beautiful so you can't really mess up the design even with little to no design experience. Their forum is very active and you can get crowdsourced answers to almost any questions you come across while using Squarespace. I also love that it's so easy to connect any social media accounts you have as well as analytics tools that are critical for most websites!

Cons

I've built 2 portfolio sites, 1 blog, and 2 business websites on Squarespace to date, and couldn't find anything I disliked!

### "Simple and Easy"

January 27, 2022

4.0

From initial idea, to posting , the blogging software is easy. Layouts can be changed and images or video can be put in anywhere very easily. We can easily post about new products, this encourages customers to come back and check to see what is new.

Pros

The premade templates got our site up and running quickly. Using Squarespace to host the domain and website, we received a free SSL certificate which helps your SEO with Googles latest updates

Cons

Some adjustments to the templates are complicated. Usually anything outside of the template format can be done, but you might have to look at the forums to find the code to put in. Easy to do, just takes a little extra time.

### "A Comprehensive Website Building Solution with Some Drawbacks"

December 23, 2022

4.0

Overall, my experience with Squarespace has been positive. As a website building platform, it offers a wide range of templates and design options that make it easy for users to create professional-looking websites without any coding knowledge.

Pros

One of the major pros of Squarespace is its user-friendly interface. The drag-and-drop editor makes it easy to customize your site, and the platform provides plenty of resources and tutorials to help you get started. Additionally, Squarespace integrates seamlessly with a variety of third-party tools and services, such as Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and social media platforms, which makes it easy to grow and manage your online presence.Another pro of Squarespace is its e-commerce capabilities. The platform offers a range of options for setting up an online store, including customizable product pages, integrated payment gateways, and tools for managing orders and shipments.

Cons

However, there are also a few drawbacks to consider when using Squarespace. One issue is that the platform can be somewhat limited in terms of customization options. While there are a wide range of templates to choose from, they may not offer all the customization options that more advanced users may want. Additionally, Squarespace can be somewhat expensive compared to other website building platforms, especially if you need to add on additional features or upgrade to a more advanced plan.

### "Great website usage, and overall easeability for someone who doesn't know how to code "

September 18, 2019

5.0

Overall, I will be a lifetime user of Squarespace. It has catapulted my wedding photography business into the next level, allowed me to optimize my site with unique keywords and SEO search terms that put it at the top of the Google search for wedding photographers in my area, and the analytics section of the site is really helpful to see where my traffic is coming from on my site and how I can drive more traffic to my site. Again, as someone who knows hardly anything about SEO, it has made me an SEO wizard and has revolutionized my wedding photography business!

Pros

I love the fact that there are so many templates that you can choose from to make your website exactly the way that you want it to. I also love the fact that the templates are so easy to use, especially for someone like me who doesn't like or really know how to code!

Cons

What I dislike is that there are certain templates that do not allow you to customize as easily, or at all, as some of the other templates. I found that I have to really search how to change things within each template and then decide from there if it is a template that I want to use. It was trial and error to discover that not all templates have fully customizable features and I wish that they all were fully customizable to make it even easier to use.

### "Easy and Elegant"

February 11, 2021

5.0

I love SquareSpace. I would really need to be wowed to switch to another company. This has everything I want (not just need) to create a great first impression

Pros

I love how simple it is to create the aesthetic I want to share with the public. The customer support team was so helpful whenever I met a snag in implementation. That hardly ever happened though, because it is so straightforward to create my own website with gorgeous content thanks to SquareSpace and their templates

Cons

There have been a few times where links have broken on my website and it has been challenging to get them reinstated.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

SquareSpace has amazing customer support and everything I need to run my business.

### "Allows anyone to be a professional, easily"

April 14, 2020

5.0

Overall, I am pleased with Squarespace. I think it is the most professional website builder out there. However, its price point and its inconsistencies hinder it from getting a 10/10 on my end.

Pros

I like how easy to customize and use Squarespace is and always has been. Especially with their latest version release, site building has become more customizable than ever. Their templates also serve as awesome inspiration. Customer service is also quick, friendly, and efficient.

Cons

There are some inconsistencies across templates and versions. Things like adding a caption to galleries or password protecting a portfolio page - which you'd think would be options, based on previous templates or other modules/page types, are not available across the board. This is frustrating when you're building a site with a specific vision in mind, but you can't achieve those results. CX associates have also told me that there are 'bugs' that are being sent to tech teams, however they can't provide updates on ETA's for fixes. It has been a month since I was told that, still no fix. It's not a good look to have such a tech-forward company fail on promises or updates to users on bugs, or elements that are prohibiting from utilizing the platform in the ways expected. Squarespace is also quite pricey compared to its competitors.

### "For a clean, simple and no-frills website"

April 20, 2022

5.0

I used Squarespace for my company website. It's not quite as easy to use as the other website builders i’ve tried, but it was perfect for what I needed - a clean, simple and no-frills website.

Pros

I've been using Squarespace to host my website for a couple of months now and so far, I am very satisfied. It offers a lot of features that I find useful when I'm hosting events, like a calendar and a blog. They also have great customer service and easy-to-use templates that give me a professional look without the cost.

Cons

Squarespace has been a great option for me so far. It's not quite as easy to use as other website builders, but it also doesn't have the high monthly subscription costs. It's perfect for smaller websites, online stores and blogs. That being said, if you're looking to build something large or have multiple people collaborating on the project I would recommend another platform.

### "Squarespace neat and nice"

November 2, 2023

4.0

Overall, I've used squarespace for about a week with a free trial and I really enjoyed being able to interact with my community from my phone.

Pros

Overall I use squarespace for like a week and I learned that I really like the features on it I also love the way I can interact with my own community and create so much without spending years working on it.

Cons

But I didn't realize after the week my computer could not run the actual web editor. Is that squarespace is fault? No, it is not. But still, I wish there would be ways to make it more optimized for lower end devices.

### "Value and Simplicity, Meet Beauty!"

July 4, 2021

5.0

I have now built over 10 full websites using Squarespace and each one continues to grow my knowledge and stretch my ability. As I aforementioned, you don’t need to be a pro, but if you are, designing an incredible, impactful and don’t miss this, mobile friendly website is simple and easy.

Pros

The best thing about Squarespace is the ability to create gorgeous websites with little to zero experience. You don’t need to be an HTML wizard, but if you happen to be, you can still take full advantage of everything Squarespace has to offer.

Cons

Honestly, it’s hard to say one. For the mid level prosumer, I haven’t found a single better option.

Basic HTML reduces time when designing websites since no coding is required.

Pros

I an lucky that I found Squarespace which offers domain search, registration and web hosting in one place at affordable rates. Availability of a wide array of free CSS templates which involve only drag and drop when designing websites.

### "Quick, Affordable, Inexpensive Website Solution For All"

April 9, 2019

5.0

Squarespace made the process of creating and publishing my website quick, easy and inexpensive. I have never had a problem setting up or using the service.

Pros

Squarespace makes creating and launching a website super easy, I might even call the process fun. The interface is intuitive and the library of themes makes it so you don't have to start from scratch, just find something that suits your tastes and requirements, add in your resources, replacing the stock ones and you're off. I have recommended Squarespace to people who have no experience building websites and they've managed to make some truly impressive sites with their limited knowledge and experience. The solution is very inexpensive, perfect for small businesses for freelancers but can easily be used for much larger businesses. The eCommerce aspect of a site can usually be the daunting part but Squarespace makes it easy. There really isn't more to say, if you need a website, try Squarespace.

Cons

The service has not failed me yet and any time I've reached out to support to ask something replies have be prompt. I have no gripes with Squarespace and I can recommend it to anyone.

### "Good builder for Photographers"

April 3, 2019

3.0

Pros

Squarespace templates look great if you have great photos to show, in fact most of their templates are based on high quality and professional photos, making them compelling and beautiful. Many of my clients like Squarespace because it's super easy to use, if you want to add content to a page just click on the page and you are ready to go, how they built the navigation is also nice, you create a page that is on the nav or one that is not linked. The e-commerce analytics are quite good also with solid reports, the checkout page is also robust and inspires trust because users are not able to modify almost anything on it, it just works.

Cons

As a developer I find Squarespace quite limited: - You can only define a few text styles and user them over the site, you can't change the font size on the page or even the color! of it. Lets say my design requires that a phrase in a page has a different font-size and color that the rest of the styles for h1,h2,h3 or paragraph; well that is not possible to achieve in Squarespace without a code block that would be difficult to edit for non-technical users. -

I LOOVE using Squarespace and I will continue to use this platform until it shuts fown.

Pros

I could design and build a website from nothing! Not only could I create a website but I could also accept payments, create Invoices, print receipts, and do payroll.

Cons

The obly verification process is with a phone number and I had my personal number changed without thinking it would affect my website access and I had to speak to Customer service to verify my identity. I wish it had alternative ways to verify other than by a phone number.

Pros

Squarespace offers beautiful templates and an easy-to-use platform to quickly and easily set up a website. It's also easy for me to teach my clients how to manage it effectively.

Cons

It is limited in its' design options and flexibility so if you're more advanced in web design, it might not be the right platform for you unless you're very well-versed in coding. I also find it a bit expensive considering its' restrictions.
