### "Easy for not professional website builders "

February 3, 2024

5.0

Easy to use, good customer support. A lot of option for choosing what suits you best.

Pros

I had no skills in building website before using squarespace. It was easy to use the template available. Although I need to redo the website after 5 years, it still stays functional and works well. Customer services are very responsive with all inquiries.

Cons

The shop option on my plan did not allow any changes to be made for the look of the shop so I moved elsewhere.

### "Great software to use for e-commerce "

November 28, 2022

5.0

Overall it’s a very good product to have especially with e-commerce and also to sell products offline. I therefore highly recommend it to bloggers and authors like myself. I have used it for blogging and plan to also use it for selling books later on. Great product to invest in and have!

Pros

I have used this software for e-commerce on my blog and has integrate it with print on demand companies to manage my products. I therefore highly recommend it for newbies to the e-commerce world. I also like that I can do transactions outside of the internet if displaying it at fairs or pop up shops, especially for authors.

Cons

It was a bit complicated trying to set it up and understanding what it does and how it integrates with my business easily. Once I was able to figure that out it became easier to use.

### "Extremely limited features and integrations"

September 30, 2020

2.0

I inherited a Squarespace website from a previous administrator and I'm in the process of switching to Shopify.

Pros

Squarespace is very cheap and it did integrate with ShipStation, which was a requirement. It's easy to manage inventory.

Cons

Very limited features. There are details you wouldn't necessarily think about, until you don't have them or your options are limited. For example, there is only one message you can send to customers when their order is refunded. Whether the order is refunded for out of stock, or because the customer cancelled, they can only get one message. There is no option for the customer to cancel their order once it's placed, other than manually contacting the company via phone or email. Product upload process is cumbersome and the categories and tagging is very manual. Limited options for promo codes and sales. Example: no buy x product get x product free. No app plug-ins.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

Unsure. Wasn't my decision.

### "Beautiful Websites, Poor Work Flow"

April 28, 2023

4.0

Our experience with Squarespace has been acceptable when analyzing its cost vs overall value. For the price we pay, it is exactly what we need.

Pros

Squarespace gives us the ability to create simple, yet beautiful websites that showcase our real estate listings. Syncing up the website domain is an incredibly easy process, and it doesn't take much time to get a website up and running. There are many customizable options for each template and it's easy to move elements around. Squarespace's analytics page is also a huge bonus! Easy to understand and navigate so we can share with our clients.

Cons

The font size and style for the website template is determined in settings, so not much can be changed while you are actively working in a text box. If you want to change the font or have multiple fonts there is a huge, unnecessary process to go about it. It would be much, much easier if each text box had its own options. Secondly, on the administrative side, to update billing information, you have to go into each website in your account and update them one by one. There should be a streamlined process to take care of billing for your website portfolio all at once.

### "Best for creating photography website"

April 9, 2022

5.0

Squarespace is one of the best platforms for creating professional websites. I particularly like it for my photography business. It has an impressive set of features and has the best designs on the market.

Pros

My experience with this website builder is quite awesome. The platform offers stunning templates that are optimized for desktops, tablets, and smartphones, making it an excellent tool for my photography website. Business growth is a result of excellent marketing tools, including email and social media. One of the most helpful and responsive builders of the ones I've tested.

Cons

The program has some drawbacks, including the price and limited customization options. You can only customize the rows within your template's columns. There is some effort involved in editing the template. The website builder does not save automatically, which is daunting.

### "A very capable site builder"

December 5, 2018

4.0

Pros

Squarespace makes it easy for just about anyone to make a functional, aesthetically pleasing website. They offer a good variety of competent templates to choose from, spanning everything from online stores to photography portfolios. The editor is easy to use, and well laid out, making it a breeze to add and edit site elements, as well as site-wide design pieces. I've used Squarespace to create a number of sites over the years, and the quality to time invested ratio is always astounding - its easy to create something great.

Cons

Where Squarespace is so easy to use, it does come with drawbacks. Unless you know custom coding, you'll likely find yourself and your ideas somewhat limited by what you're actually able to do in any given template. This is the trade off you accept with Squarespace - greater ease of use for less customization. Other editors, such as Wix, offer a bit more freedom (but with that, they require a great technical skill to manipulate). But, if you're happy with somewhat standard features, there is a lot to love about Squarespace. One other thing is that even though there are a number of templates, Squarespace templates (and many pre-fab site builders these days) have a "look." So don't go in expecting to completely break the mold

### "A Great Website Making Tool"

June 17, 2020

5.0

Squarespace has made my online portfolio unique, eyecatching, and a great way to show off my work to prospective clients. They also consistently have great first time offers so if you are considering using their services you can almost always find it at a great deal.

Pros

It is easy to use, especially for someone who doesn't understand HTML like me. There are plenty of templates that fit each of my needs for my site as whole. I especially love the ways to set up picture galleries, which are most of what I have on there as I use it as an art portfolio.

Cons

Hooking up multiple domains to a single website can be a bit of a hassle, but eventually I was able to get mine running smoothly, and that is a very specific issue to have regardless.

### "Personalized pages at lightning speeds!"

May 11, 2023

5.0

My overall experience with Squarespace has been a breeze! From choosing them over others, signing up, the best pricing plans, and using it daily, we have had nothing but a wonderful time.

Pros

Squarespace made building and personalizing a website for our small business very easy. The end result was an adorable site that we can update in real time when new products and services are added. The price point was perfect for the setup and we are sure to use Squarespace for the life of our small business.

Cons

I couldn't find anything we didn't like about Squarespace, it has all the options we need.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

The overall ability to update our site real time, the quality of the layouts, the ease of use, and other friends who used it really spoke highly of Squarespace and advised us to use it above all others.

### "Very professional website looking."

June 3, 2021

4.0

I trusted the safety of the Squarespace website server. Never have any errors experience while using it which is really good.

Pros

It's a very professional website looking. I got a compliment from many people who say that my website looks good and professional. Everyone thinks that I paid an expensive web designer for my website but I am doing it myself. I don't know much about web design and Squarespace not very hard to learn.

Cons

The shopping card features does not support shipping option in Thailand. I can not make it work if I want to calculate a shipping fee related to the shipping company that available in Thailand. I hope this would be fixed in the near future, so this function will be useful for me. Also, the page design does not allow you to set color, font style, and font size on a different web page. Once you change is all change on every page. I am using a free template, maybe the reason why.

### "Squarespace is the best website builder"

May 1, 2023

5.0

Highly recommend, it makes creating a website fast and easy and enjoyable.

Pros

We had a website built for us when we started the business but it quickly became obsolete and we needed someone to update it for us each time. Using Squarespace we were able to start with a template and customize it for us so it was more easily updated.

Cons

When new builds are released and your website is getting a bit old you may need a total rebuild....but this is not uncommon on most other platforms.

### "A Novice Can Do It"

May 31, 2021

5.0

I've had a great experience with Squarespace. I'm currently going through a website redesign. I utilized their "matchmaking service" to try and find a designer and thought it was the most efficient system. It's like online dating. You fill out a form, which is like your profile, stating what you want. You get matched up with several designers. From those you "swipe right" on five. Then it becomes up to those five to court you by sending you an email, reaching out to jump on a Zoom and you take your relationship from there. I feel like I scored. I am enjoying working with my designer. She's so knowledgeable and she understands what I'm trying to accomplish. I cannot wait for my new site to deploy.

Pros

For the most part, anything I've tried to create on Squarespace is relatively easy. If I had questions, I was able to find a YouTube tutorial to figure it out. The sites look professional on both desktop and mobile and don't break the bank to create. You can also make your site transactional which is nice and the fees involved are reasonable.

Cons

I am not a tech savvy person so some of the functionality requires an in-depth online lesson to recreate something I've seen, however, it is all figureoutable.

### "Be there or be square (JK)"

December 4, 2018

5.0

Amazing. Really. I've made countless sites and was always super happy with the result and customer support along the way. The only platform I created that I wasn't entirely happy with was an e-com site, not only does it cost 3x but it doesn't offer a-lot of the robust options that site like Shopify and Magento do. Granted it's cheaper, but I can't see a serious e-comm store using the platform in it's current state. Overall if you're building a portfolio site, or a site for your restaurant, SS is better then WIX and any other web builder I used. But if you're looking to build something more complicated I would look elsewhere.

Pros

How flexible the templates are, once you figure out how to use spacers, blocks and all the good stuff you can really customize the templates to pretty much look like anything, and if you HTML savvy, well the then, the world is your oyster.

Cons

SquareSpace recently updated their terms so that HTML code injection are only available for business users, which doesn't make much sense to me since the people who tend to use square space the most are designers, photographers, etc. for their portfolios. I can understand why an e-commerce plan would cost more, after all you're using their platform to generate income, but why would a young designer that's just trying to get hired by showcasing his portfolio and skills should be charged more for using code is beyond me.

### "You get what you pay for"

December 1, 2020

5.0

After trying multiple free website building options, I finally relented and tried out the demo version on Squarespace to see what the learning curve would be like, and if it would be worthwhile ot go the paid route for a website. The answer was a resounding yes, and I've subsequently built 3 more sites with them since our first one. I tell every new business owner starting out, check out squarespace, save yourself the headace of the free platforms that limit creativity, and watch your business grow by the day.

Pros

Ease of use Easing learning curve layout options customizations options sleek templates quick onboarding

Cons

Towards the beginning of my experience with Squarespace, I needed some customer sesrvice and the process to find where I could go for help was not easy. This was back in 2017 however, so I'm not sure if that process has improved since then (I'd like to think so!)

Reason for choosing Squarespace

Because after the demo phase where you can edit a template and build your website, my site was perfect and ready to roll out. Easiest business decision we've ever made.

### "Squarespace is Easy Website Creation and Management"

October 17, 2019

4.0

I've really enjoyed working with Squarespace. The learning curve hasn't been too bad. Obviously there are new features introduced and the product continues to improve.

Pros

Overall the simplicity of the tool makes it wonderful to use. I can add an entry to my website in usually minutes and I don't even think about formating or HTML code or anything like that. I just simply write an article or manage the purchases from my clients.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to offer multiple currencies in the eCommerce components. I'm Canadian and I wish to offer US dollars to my American clients, but I still need to operate my business in Canada. My Canadian clients would appreciate being able to show for my services in Canadian currency.

I heard plenty of advertising for Squarespace on various podcasts and netcasts. ### "Squarespace Review "

November 21, 2022

5.0

I used Squarespace to create a website for a small business I was interning for. The business owner was not very tech savvy, and her only request was that the software be easy to use and manage. When browsing different types of software, Squarespace really stuck out to me because of the unique template options. I also knew this would be a software the business owner would have an easy transition into, due to the ease of use.

Pros

This software is truly an all-in-one for small businesses. It makes creating a website extremely easy, especially for those who are not super tech savvy or creative. It provides website templates and domain name searches to fully facilitate the process of creating a website.

Cons

There was nothing I disliked about using this software. As someone who works well off of examples, what I was looking for most in a website software was guidance and templates and Squarespace provided both. The website itself is extremely easy to use and you can even find the template fit for you by describing what you would like your site to look like.

### "Easy to use for small business owner"

December 1, 2022

5.0

Great, I would recommend it to small business owners.

Pros

It's easy to customize your website with photos and text. I also use the e-commerce area for online products, and it's pretty easy to use. If you don't know how to do something, there is usually a good questions/answer area from help. After someone buys something, it sends the online product to them automatically. The website is fast, and many great features can be used. I like the analytics. Knowing how many people visit your site is pretty cool.

Cons

When adding photos, I have to make it a "card" style for the photo to be small. It's hard to edit photos on the pages. For blog posts, the title is HUGE for each blog, and I can not figure out how to make the font smaller.

### "Not a coder? Don't worry "

May 27, 2021

5.0

It has been excellent. I love this software, definitely it would be a surprise if I were to change to another company, which I truly believe this won't happen. This is very important for me because I love softwares that are simple to use and does what it promises to its clients. Super recommended!

Pros

I am a photographer and a marketer, definitely coding is not my forte and I always wanted to learn how to do it, nevertheless the time I have is very tight and Squarespace has come to help me. Definitely the highest praise I can give is that it is so simple to use, the layouts are so good and aesthetic and for the price you get a lot of things. It is a safe and fun way to do your own website. The customer support is fantastic and I love everything about it.

Cons

I do not have any cons and I am being very honest. Having a website is so beneficial and someone like me that really does not have a lot of time, it is so good to have a simple and aesthetic software that helps you attract more potential clients. Squarespace is fast, always adds more layouts, it is totally customizable, it is just amazing.

### "Squarespace is the perfect web creator as it is easy and really powerful. "

November 13, 2022

4.0

I really recommend Squarespace for anybody who wants to create a beautiful and useful website for some personal project or some small company as it is easy and powerful.

Pros

It's easy, with many many options and you don't need any experience or knowledge in coding. It is just dragging, moving and creating new buttons or spaces into the website. Really easy and powerful, the limit is just your creativity. It comes with many templates so you can get inspiration.

Cons

It is a tool for beginners or people who does not want to spend days in creating a website and of course is more limited than people who creates a web from scratch. The API options and other features (like some animations, bots, etc) are not present or are not created yet.

### "Excellent design templates"

May 23, 2019

4.0

This software is really useful because thanks to the fact that it provides the best tools for the design of sites or pages it is much simpler to do this process without having to do it from scratch, besides the pages designed with it can have a great commercial growth thanks to they can position themselves in a much simpler way, which is why it is the ideal tool to grow and make known any type of business.

Pros

I really like this platform based on the design of pages or websites because it provides templates that adapt automatically to devices, but also offer a very modern and attractive design so designing web pages with them give a unique touch and very visually attractive, it also has an extremely elegant interface that can be navigated to visualize the progress of what has been done without having to do it separately, but by means of a preview which is an excellent advantage, since that in this way you have an idea of how the page will look and if it fits what you are looking for, it also provides very complete tools for design where you can select the logo, edit styles by changing colors to give it a touch more personal to each design and not only you can modify it also the images or add from other platforms, that is why designing with this software is really great because provides everything necessary to build a good page that can represent a business.

Cons

One of the things that I do not like and I think they could improve is that it would be great to choose elements to attach on the page can be done through a bar that is displayed to the side because that way it would be much simpler to work and Do not get disoriented with what you do.
