### "Squarespace has Removed the Hassle From Website Creation"

January 3, 2022

5.0

Overall my experience with Squarespace could not be better.

Pros

I was in the habit of outsourcing website creation for our many website projects. Now we can do quality functional websites in house. Ad the results are better with a big cut to costs. That's what ai love most about this software.

Cons

No real cons to speak of. Perhaps they could add cryptocurrency as a payment method.

### "A fantastic platform for a polished web presence "

May 18, 2018

5.0

I'm creating an online presence to showcase my work and providing information on contacting me as well as my rates.

Pros

The assortment of designs and ease of use help me get the look of a beautiful site without hours of work or the need to hire a designer. The interface to change the design/layout is effortless to navigate. Squarespace also updates their templates on a regular basis so you can keep your page looking fresh and on point with the current trends.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about Squarespace. I've been using them for about four years and don't see an end in sight. I guess the ability to generate contracts and invoices through my site, instead of just selling fix-priced items, would be nice. But that isn't a deal breaker for me by a long shot. I'm sure that would just increase the cost to use it, which I wouldn't like.

### "Squarespace is a great starter-website for clients who want control "

June 6, 2023

Pros

It’s super easy to collaborate (also remotely) with a team using Squarespace. The system is intuitive even for beginner users.

Cons

The media library isn’t quite as built out and organized as it could be.

### "A Lifetime Comittment"

November 18, 2022

3.0

It is difficult to customize the site without coding experience, so if you are a beginner, for the cost of Squarespace, there are better alternatives. However, if you can code, there are also better alternatives. Squarespace is out dated and overpriced.

Pros

I like the templates that are offered, they have good appeal and typography. The backend design is user friendly and there is live chat 24/7.

Cons

The biggest issue for me is that you can not migrate your website elsewhere if you change your mind about Squarespace in the future. The thought of starting from scratch and making a lifetime commitment was enough for me to say no. There was also no phone support for the times when immediate support on a call would be more helpful.

### "Squarespace is easy to use website builder."

June 18, 2022

4.0

Pros

You can use a one-to-one site to make a blog site with peace of mind. Thanks to the visual gallery it contains, you can realize the designs you want without worrying about copyright.

Cons

It may be suitable for smaller jobs. It may not be suitable for those who want to get a more professional service. But I can say that I am quite satisfied.

### "Square "

April 4, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with square has been great except for the funds problem

Pros

I like the fact that I can check out customers for my phone with the card slipper they provide for free right onto my square app

Cons

I don't like the fact that I had to wait to get my funds for 90 days when I made my first payment or when I took my first payment from a customer using my slight card reader

### "Favorite turn-key web platform I've ever used. "

February 8, 2018

5.0

I recommend this product all the time to other small nonprofits and anyone trying to launch a creative idea because of it's immediacy, ease of use, professional abilities, and cost. So many features packed into an affordable website solution pack.

Pros

This is such a powerful website creation platform that anyone can use, regardless of your industry or business size. Plus, it's beautiful, easy to navigate, packed with all the right features you need (page navigation, embedded features, analytics, e-commerce, etc..). Plus, it's extremely cheap given the alternative of custom building a website, hiring a graphic designer, and then waiting for all that to be done. Can't say enough about how impressed I am with this platform.

Cons

At times, you're limited by our own creativity or experiences when trying to setup your website on your own. There is a learning curve to figuring out how to make the site do what you want it to do based on your creative abilities or how the drag and drop features work. This is also a benefit, but takes a bit to learn how to get things to turn out how you have them in your mind.

### "Great, easy-to-use solution for beginners"

July 24, 2019

5.0

Pros

If you have no experience building websites, Squarespace is a great place to start. The drag-and-drop builder and user interface are clean and easy to grasp. While other simple website builders are out there (Wix, Weebly, etc), Squarespace is by far the best and offers the most professional-looking themes. Other website builders can often create websites that appear far more low-quality and messy. Customer service is awesome, and they're more than willing to help you with complex requests, such as coded integrations.

Cons

If you want more customization and control over the appearance of your website, you should probably go with a different website builder (WordPress and Webflow are both great options for individuals with a bit more coding experience). Squarespace can produce great websites, but it's limited in terms of customization and user control.

### "Squarespace is the best website builder for non technical users"

July 6, 2022

Fantastic. Their support was incredible and FAST.

Pros

So easy to use. The templates were professional, editable and had depth. I was able to connect my own domain from GoDaddy and it worked seamlessly.

Cons

Someone who wants more customizability might go for something like Webflow.

### "A perfect solution for many businesses"

April 6, 2021

5.0

Building a website for a small to medium business can be a complicated task. Lately there have been a few solutions that have come on the market to make this easier. First there was Wordpress which was much easier than programming the site yourself, but a lot of complication was still there of customizing and upgrading. Wix, Weebly and Squarespace then made this process much easier by supporting all the infrastructure and giving a simple to use drag and drop interface.

Pros

I find Squarespace to be a lot more visually creative and interesting compared to the competition of wix and weebly. The builder interface is also a lot easier to navigate and doesnt have as many UX quirks and fumbles.

Cons

I find Squarespace to be a bit pricey when you start purchasing their add-ons. They nickel and dime a little bit when it comes to these additional features.

### "Love it, way better than WordPress"

August 28, 2019

5.0

Very good, been using them for years. Still hate WordPress.

Pros

Intuitive, easy to use, built-in hosting and SSL certificates, good designs

Cons

Limited templates, this is where WordPress wins. But, it is nice because the platform is more intuitive and you don't need any coding experience.

### "Great for making a portfolio for your work"

October 14, 2022

5.0

It's great! Squarespace gives me the ability to make a customizable website without any web design knowledge, and it looks great on mobile too.

Pros

I upload my portfolio on my website and it's really easy to make separate pages for different things, like having one for my bio, one for a gallery, and one for videos. I can also upload downloadable items like pdfs. It's easy to find a template to my liking without going through too much trouble as well.

Cons

I feel like it's can be a little more affordable.

### "Awesome website building site"

July 8, 2020

5.0

I have had a website hosted and created via Squarespace for almost three years now. I have had no issues or problems and frequently receive compliments about my website. I would highly recommend to anyone with a small business.

Pros

I love Squarespace. I was able to quickly and easily create a beautiful, contemporary looking website without having to know how to code. There are several template options to choose from that allow for several different ways to customize to your own brand. Squarespace makes it easy and provides step by step instructions along the way.

Cons

While the templates are great for creating a site, they are not all fully customizable. But that is understandable. If you want to completely design a site to make it unique, the best way would be to do it on your own. However, that would require expertise on web coding. Squarespace offers an in between at an affordable price.

Overall my experience with Squarespace has been positive.

Cons

It would help if it were a little more user friendly and a little more intuitive.

### "Super easy to use anywhere "

December 6, 2019

5.0

We use Square as one of our payment application systems. We have a few payment applications we use (pay pal, shopify, stripe, etc) but we like the fact that you can use this for pop up stores with very minimal set up/time.

Pros

I like that not only can you send invoices to customers through the Square space site but you can also use it for register sales. We also have pop up retail locations and it so easy to use square space with an Ipad. It really has a lot of functionality around how you can accept payments.

Cons

The only con that I have about the software is that if you run a transaction detail by date it shows all of the payments ever received by a customer not just the payments received in that time period. It makes reconciling to our bank account difficult and you need to run two other reports to be able to tie out. I was they just had one report with all the information we needed.

### "Great for Small Businesses "

July 30, 2018

5.0

I am now able to take card payments from my clients.

Pros

I love Square Space because for the longest time I wasn't able to take card payments from my clients and today less and less people are carrying cash/checks with them. With Square Space it made me able to take card payments from my clients pain free.

Cons

The only thing that I am not a fan of is the percentage that Square Space takes out of your payment but then again it's like paying for the service you are using.

### "Squarespace for Business"

January 11, 2019

5.0

Overall, I would highly recommend using Squarespace!

Pros

I love Squarespace's aesthetic and ease of use. If you are looking to develop your own website for your business, Squarespace is perfect for you! It is easy to understand, there are TONS of options for customized options down the road, and the customer support is great!

Cons

The thing I like least about Squarespace is that there are some templates that are much easier to customize then others. This isn't a problem as long as you do your research before starting your website! For example, the Brine templates are significantly easier to change down the road then others.

### "Create websites with ease"

March 1, 2023

Overall, Squarespace is a reliable and powerful website builder that provides excellent design options and customization features for creating professional-looking websites.

Pros

My experience with Squarespace has been great. The website builder is user-friendly and offers a wide range of templates to choose from. Furthermore, the drag and drop is super easy to use.

Cons

However, the pricing plans are relatively expensive compared to some other website builders in the market, especially compared to software like elementor.

### "Brilliant Web Design Software that works a dream."

July 11, 2019

5.0

I've been using SquareSpace for 4 years now and have built lots of sites for very happy clients. Excellent experience

Pros

SquareSpace works brilliantly. The best thing is that pretty much everything you need to create a beautiful, modern website can be done within their system, no need for 3rd party plugins, constant updates or incompatibility issues that you get with WordPress. It just works! Great pricing includes many things that other web design tools / hosts charge extra for. The customer service and tutorials & guides are great.

Cons

The only downside, comes as a result of the huge upside. If you want to play around or need more customisation in your design things get trickier and the simplicity of drag & drop can't be used. These more technical css / coding issues are only for serious developers, so most casual users won't ever be bothered by this anyway.

### "Great for starting your ecommerce efforts"

September 24, 2019

5.0

Overall great, support is good - if there is ever anything we aren't sure about, the documentation is easy to find and fill out. If we ever expand to a bigger catalogue we might need another solution, but for now Squarespace works well with our simple 3-5 product offerings.

Pros

We loved the ease of just getting set up in a couple minutes. It's easy to configure a working store quickly and have products ready to sell. We have just a couple products so it was easy to showcase these products in a compelling and beautiful way.

Cons

It's hard to get shipping addresses updated - if a customer needs to update their address, they need to email us. I am not sure if other ecommerce platforms can handle this more elegantly, though. Maybe more address validation would work, but, you can't totally remove all human error from orders.

### "Best Website Design Program for Non-Coders"

February 12, 2018

Made quite a bit of money from selling their websites to clients as well as being able to much more easily optimize them because I understand the branding as well as the build.

Pros

Live Chat Customer Service is the BEST. They will screencast a custom movie of exactly your issue and how to fix it through your own website backdoor. Beautiful templates and they are always adding more.

Cons

I've had formatting issues and depending on the template, I am unable to create the design I am looking for.

### "Hands down the easiest to use and transfer to a client website build we use!"

May 4, 2018

5.0

Pros

Squarespace is by default maximized for SEO, and the variety of templates makes it highly visual. We use Squarespace templates a great deal because we mentor clients to eventually take the reigns of their sites, and Squarespace has an extremely friendly user interface. We love it!

Cons

Honestly, I have yet to find a CON to Squarespace. With other website platforms, plugins and backends can be HUGELY confusing,. not SS. They have it cleanly laid out.
