I don't want to put too much effort into my website, so this is perfect. Pros I love how easy it is to drag and drop an entire website. It has an easy snapping feature that aligns everything to ensure it looks nice. It has many presets, so creation is a joy. Cons With it being so 'simple' it can be rigid at times. I found it to be a huge upgrade from other services I have used to make websites over the years. Pros I appreciate the ease of getting started and ability to customize. Taking advantage of the ability to create a "members only" part of a website has been a game-changer for a membership-based nonprofit I work with. Cons I wish it allowed integration with other financial programs besides Stripe/Donorbox and other ways to have an online shop. " August 20, 2025 4.0 Squarespace was my first web design experience and was very easy to use, clean, and integrated a lot of apps. I do wish the design capabilities were more experimental as most templates are kind of basic. Pros I like how clean Squarespace is. It is very user friendly and beginner friendly. Pros The user interface is pretty intuitive and the templates are beautiful! Easy to create a stunning site. Cons I wish that the templates were a bit more customizable. Sometimes I want to be a bit more granular with edits, but the way the pages are organized into blocks limits how I can position elements. Cons Sometimes with the sales tax aspect, on items we were not charging sales tax on, it would sometimes get finicky when trying to remove the sales tax. A recent update has seemed to make it a little easier to manage now though. Most of the features that com with squarespace i have found easy to use and very important in my business. I would definitely refer this product to friends, family and colleagues. Pros What i liked most about squarespace is the fact that i could easily add products to my website. And i could add all information and description of the product available. I could also have the money payed for a product sent directly to my bank account. I could also pick the themes and colors of my web page. Making it perfect for myself and other users of the software. I love the fact that i get to choose my domain and website name. Allowing it to fit my online retail business perfectly. As well as provided marketing tools andvemail marketing to help improve our customer count. I like the fact that it allows me to create a logo to fit my business. As well as provideva business name generator to help in naming businesses if the client is having difficulties finding a good and unoriginal name for the business. The price is a great pro for this product as well. The pricecwas fair for what they allow us to use to create our online website. January 22, 2026 4.0 If you want to produce a stunning looking slick website quickly and easily, then Squarespace is the best solution. It produces sites that look and feel more upmarket than Wordpress. Squarespace comes at a higher cost, though, and you are locked in to their platform. This is not necessarily a bad thing if it provides everything you need. Pros Squarespace allows you to produce and host beautiful looking and performing websites in minutes, using a wide variety of templates. Everything you need is there: SSL, SEO, marketing campaigns, ecommerce and a wide range of integrations. Cons Squarespace allows for limited customisation of templates, so if you want your site to look different to the template, you are out of luck. Not so with Wordpress. Since Squarespace provides everything on their platform, you are locked in, and exporting to another platform is difficult. We do not know of any alternatives or how difficult it would be to transition our website so we are satisfied enough for now but making changes to our website has become a frustrating experience. Pros We like the ability to have so much control of our website & being able to change whatever we wish at a moments notice. Cons It is SO hard to properly edit your website. You may have a layout you like and then go to publish the changes, and everything shifts! Really frustrating to work with, and not very user-friendly. We appreciate the security features we have encountered as well, making us feel they are looking after everyone's best interest. Pros Squarespace allowed my small business to accept a variety of payment types quickly, with very competitive rates. It also allows us to stand up legitimate product pages allowing us to sell directly to dealers and customers with a variety of options and configurations. Cons Some of the setups can be a little tricky to find due to the range of different options the platform offers, but with a little tenacity, they aren't much of a hurdle. Pros It is great for a beginner who needs to make a site very quickly. It is intuitive to use without any coding experience. Compared to other simple starter website builders it has less bloat and is easier to use. Cons The obvious being limitations on what or how you can develop with it, it's meant as a more basic option to web development, it will not have more advanced features but it will get the job done for you in a hurry.
