### "Easy and convenient if you want something simple"

November 13, 2019

5.0

Overall, it has been good but I'm debating on whether or not to move everything to a hosting service and controlling everything on my end. I will find out soon.

Pros

Squarespace is really easy and convenient if you want something simple and straightforward. It's good to use if you don't want to spend every second of every day trouble shooting your theme, layout, etc.

Cons

A little overpriced in my opinion. I wish there were more capabilities in terms of layouts and themes and doing multiple websites under one SquareSpace account, but if you want to have more than one site, it's probably more cost effective to go through a hosting service and use Wordpress.

### "Beautiful website for my business"

July 20, 2017

5.0

I created a clean, simple webpage for my small business with squarespace. There are so many templates to choose from and the customization options are endless.

Pros

Clean, beautiful templates to choose from.

Cons

I feel like the customization process could be more user friendly.

### "Square Space and it's bells and jingles"

August 28, 2018

4.0

Pros

The templates look great, and are suitable for many different types of businesses. Also, if your business happens to be e-commerce (like mine) Square Space makes it easy to add your online store.

Cons

The pricing is a little steep, in addition to the limitations on the depth of menus you can use. Be aware that you may run into issues if your website menu is a deep web of categories.

### "Moved all my important sites to Squarespace"

May 9, 2018

4.0

No more pain setting up a blog

Pros

Squarespace allowed me to create beautifully designed websites and more importantly helped me transition my WP blogs over easily. I ran tons of blogs back in the day and lost too many b/c I just didn't keep up with the latest WP releases, plugins or latest mobile requirements by Google. Squarespace was the best solution to take away the pain and become the preferred solution for my blogs. I also liked the feature using (paid) Getty images without having to set up a Getty account.

Cons

I think the page builder isn't intuitive, esp. setting up menus and links within the website is hard to understand. I just didn't understand how that. Also setting up magazine style sites isn't as easy as with wordpress. It's kind of painful, which is why I haven't moved all sites over to Squarespace. Lastly the app seemed to be a good thing, but I never actually used it and it never asked me to use it ;)

### "A pretty user-friendly website building software for a very reasonable price."

July 13, 2018

5.0

Pros

Squarespace is easy enough for most people to get the hang of. A lot of modules can be dragged and dropped into place. The colors, fonts, etc. can all be customized within different sections down to the hex code. It's about few $ a year for the client I help with website maintenance. Which is a really good price considering how costly some website hosting sites can be.

Cons

The only thing that has annoyed me with Squarespace is if you go to add an image onto a page, you must use spacers to correctly size the image. It would be much easier to just drag the corners of the image to the size you want it to be.

### "Create a beautiful website easily - just don't look for much customization"

June 26, 2018

4.0

Pros

Squarespace is the best of all the website builder apps out there. Their templates are beautiful and the process is so simple that even a technophobe can make a site. Squarespace gives you everything you need and takes out the options that might confuse someone.

Cons

By making the builder so easy to use, Squarespace actually denies you the ability to do much customization. That means that you're pretty much stuck with whatever the template is - even if you only like 50% of it. Sure, you can use custom code - but if I wanted to do that, I would open Dreamweaver instead!

### "This is a more sophisticated page, its tools are good and they have options that others do not have."

July 2, 2018

5.0

It is a very good page complex, with many tools, you can create something quite professional, with a little practice and patience.

Pros

Squarespace is easy, it's different from weebly and wix, since from the toolbar is that you modify the design of it. First you choose the template that you like the most. and from there you change colors, typographies and photos. The page already published is fast and is responsible. Your shopping cart is easy to carry your inventory, you can have several products with categories, tags, and you can also write a lot if you want, the photo that you see in the product has much more options than many others, you can zoom and it's good quality. So the photo is heavy loads fast. In the part of the product has the part of the form that is good idea for people that your product is personalized.

Cons

At the beginning you do not get used to that from the tool bar is where you modify the design, it has no alternative to part of what it shows in your template. It only lets you place few typographies on your website. You do not have many options to buy from other platforms.

### "Great for new companies looking for online presence."

December 16, 2018

The UX is very simple to use with it's templated designs. It's easy to add pages and drop assets straight into the web-GUI

Cons

### "A solid CMS with clean design, good integrations"

April 7, 2021

5.0

We've used it for years for our company's main website. Overall it's solid CMS, and compared to others which I use for other companies I own, Squarespace is my favorite.

Pros

I like the clean design, and intuitive user experience and user interface. It also has integrations with popular e-commerce tools.

Cons

It took a while to learn how to navigate the options, and set up a drafting and posting work flow, because some of the terminology used is not super intuitive.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

It's hard to explain, the others are more "wonky" to use. Unpredictable things seemed to happen. Squarespace feels more like using a desktop app than a web app.

### "BEST WEBSITE SERVICE FOR MY BUSINESS"

October 11, 2018

5.0

Pros

I've used several brands to try and build a website and nothing come close to what squarespace offers. Their price-point is affordable for my business needs and the functionality and ease of use of the software is unbeatable. They have built in SEO that makes finding my business easier for consumers. I can't repeat how much I love squarespace enough.

Cons

There's nothing that I least like about this software. From day one they have made such a great product that easy for me to understand and use. This software is VITAL for my business and I'm extremely satisfied.

### "Easily create beautiful websites"

February 4, 2019

5.0

I've used it to build 3 websites. I also recommend it to clients interested in managing their own content.

Pros

Where squarespace wins out over similar platforms is in the WYSIWIG (what you see is what you get) drag and drop design templates. Without any knowledge or experience building websites, you can quickly and easily design a site that's both functional and beautiful. The designers employed by squarespace have a distinct eye for modern design and this comes through in spades with the available template choices.

Cons

If anything it would be that a novice can design a website without any assistance - and that complaint is purely from the perspective of someone that used to be paid to design websites. Now, anyone can throw together something.

### "Squarespace review"

October 23, 2019

4.0

I have recommended several people to use Squarespace's website builder and continue to use it for my company's websites.

Pros

The ease of use is the main reason I would recommend Squarespace to another potential user. The learning curve is not too steep and the pricing is worth it.

Cons

Squarespace can sometimes be very buggy and difficult to use when updating our website. Thankfully, the IT support is helpful and quick to respond to inquiries.

### "Stunning High-End Websites for those who don't need bells & whistles"

April 14, 2017

5.0

I always used Wix in the past to build websites, however I needed a very high end look and Squarespace fit the bill. I'll admit, at first Squarespace was difficult for me to navigate when building my homepage. However, I watched the tutorials and was able to figure it out quickly. The final product is stunning and I didn't have to do anything to make it mobile friendly - which is a huge plus. However, with the built-in adaptability comes some trouble. You cannot fully customize everything. There were several items I wanted on the site or little tweaks I wanted to make that were not possible. I'd hope to have a gallery style blog page, but the design I chose for the rest of the site didn't allow that. In addition, the SEO on the design I used was very difficult to get right in Google. I tried to work with customer service, however they said the only way around my issue was by building custom CSS code. So, I taught myself to code. There are people who adapt Squarespace sites for a living, but I didn't want to pay for this. Overall, I'm happy with the final product and clients love it. I would like to see more customization options.

Pros

Stunning sites High-end product Self-adapts for mobile viewing Integration with google Great designs

Cons

Lack of customization on individual templates Not enough consideration of SEO Need to use CSS

### "No Coding Needed"

January 5, 2023

5.0

Overall, not only Squarespace makes designing and publishing a website relatively easy, the ease of use is one of its best offers, for example, e-commerce compatibility, and data import/export capabilities. Switching from a traditional website build will be a piece of cake.

Pros

I like Squarespace because of its ease of use and customizability. I tried its 14-day trial and I easily fell in love with its all-in-one features, especially its website builder. Also, I don't need to code or learn HTML language, and the fact that it also has ready-made templates, makes it ideal for me as I don't have to start from scratch and that made my life easier.

Cons

Even though it has plenty of features and benefits, what I believe needs to be improved is the lack of plugins and extensions for more in-depth customization and integration. I hope to see more features in the future!

### "An Easy Website Manager"

March 12, 2020

5.0

Overall, this is an amazing service. I now have 2 sites on Squarespace, and a 3rd that is now inactive from the past. I will continue coming back to Squarespace for my website needs.

Pros

Squarespace is awesome for the small business owners out there, who don't have time or funds to hire an IT guy. The format is very easy to use and customize for basic functions, and almost everything that a new business could need online is built into the system

Cons

The 7.0 Version is way better than the 7.1 version if you want to make a customizable, dynamic, eye-catching site. 7.1 just has too many limitations, from font selection, to CSS Customization. On the subject of CSS Customization, it is a little annoying that the same basic CSS Code doesnt work on every template. Also, im still not sold on making people use these templates instead of build from scratch.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

Ease of Use, and a Template the Boss Liked.

### "Easy to use website builder "

September 30, 2020

5.0

We have been using it for 2 years now and think the price is easily justified with its usage

Pros

Sqaurespace is an easy to use website builder that allowed my team to build out an entire landing page for internal updates and to following industry news. We love being able to have different levels of access as some part of the site are made for one team privately vs others. It helps keep our content organzied and clean while providing a engaging experience

Cons

Sometimes it can be hard to click on different tiles you are creating as they are small, but other than that - no complaints!

### "Great tool for building professional looking websites "

July 10, 2018

4.0

Pros

Super easy to use and customize. Great integration for ECOM. The templates are clean and not easy to clutter.

Cons

I would like to see some more tools added, there are many restrictions on what you can and can't add. Websites are evolving as far as users interacting with features and spending more time on sites, I would love to see SquareSpace keep up with the trend.

### "Great websites, awesome design, no ownership"

May 31, 2019

4.0

We used Squarespace as a way to simplify things. No longer were we stuck with a developer, designer, hosting, plugins and themes. It was all integrated. And for the most part, Squarespace does just this. The problem is you don't own that. Once you stop paying, it's gone. There's no Download my website button or Move to WordPress button. Be aware!

Pros

The designs/themes are amazing. Hard to beat even with a dedicated designer. That's definitely what attracted us to the tool and we would've like to stay, if it wasn't for the ownership part of the equation.

Cons

Limited functionality out of the box. While they do mention how feature complete and easy it is, even as an ecommerce platforms, needs these days have multiplied. No longer should we feel satisfied with bare-bones settings and features.

### "Perfect for just about anyone"

November 5, 2019

I've set up about 5 different websites on squarespace for my own and other's businesses and it's truly the best out there.

Pros

I love squarespace from a usability standpoint, for its design features, and its price range. It's the perfect solution for small businesses and has a TON of features. You can create a beautiful website with hardly any effort at all.

Cons

The only thing I haven't figured out is how to use my own branded fonts, but that might be a paid feature or something I just don't know how to do yet.

### "Beautiful Websites with No Designer Needed"

December 12, 2019

5.0

Squarespace is such a great product - well worth the investment. It is a platform I have been able to grow into an expert on with no advanced training and making something beautiful, that works is simple for any level of user.

Pros

It is easy to use and simple to teach someone who might not be comfortable with web design. We regularly use this platform for our nonprofit clients who don't have a dedicated marketing, design or web person. Allows for easy updates on websites.

Cons

It is a templated website which means they all look similar if you are looking at multiple sites built in Squarespace - you can spot them a mile away.

Simplicity
