### "Squarespace saved our website"

July 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

Our website was out of date and because no one on our team knew how to use code we could not update it. We are a modern church and we needed a website that matched that. We choose to go with Squarespace and don't regret it! It is super easy to use, it is secure, has loads of features, and is extremely customizable.

Cons

If you are looking for something like WordPress with endless abilities and build from the ground up, you could technically do it but Squarespace probably isn't your go to.

### "Best templated site builder around"

June 26, 2020

5.0

Overall, we love our experience with Squarespace. We will continue to use them to build client websites for the foreseeable future.

Pros

Squarespace is hands down the best templated site builder around. It's incredibly versatile and easy to use. You have many templates to choose from and depending on the subscription you purchase you can also have code editing ability, which is hugely helpful.

Cons

It can, at times, feel limited. But, it is a templated CMS platform and that's to be expected to it's hard to ding them for that.

### "Squarespace"

November 29, 2018

5.0

Squarespace is a great solution if your team have varying levels of web experience. If you can follow directions and like the templates provided this is an ideal solution to create a beautifully designed site. The cost is a bit steep compared to other solutions, but the sleek interface and functionality can't be beat. You get what you pay for.

Pros

Sqaurespace is great for people with varying levels of web and design experience. It's incredibly intuitive and gives users the tools to build really beautiful sites. It's easy to make adjustments as needed to design and copy. I highly recommend using Squarespace if you are new to web design/content strategy.

Cons

The templates they are really easy to follow, but if you aren't happy with the templates provided you don't have too many options. It forces you to work within the designs they provide, which definitely makes it easy to follow but lacks creative deviation.

### "Allows my donations to be Mobile"

June 17, 2020

5.0

Squarespace allows us to make the customer experience much faster allowing us to rapidly accept transactions. The speed in which we can operate offsets any fee's in the long run.

Pros

It's a very simple product to maneuver. We use this to capture donations when our job is on-the-go. It's ability to simplify the process of donations for our institution is great. It's worth the nominal fee in order to speed up transactions.

Cons

Unfortunately it doesn't integrate with our CRM very well. It's a pretty manual process to get the data back into our CRM.

We used to take donations from Tessitura, but it was a lengthy process on the user end. It made more sense to just get thru the transaction quicker and on downtime get it back into our CRM.

### "Every Creative Needs Squarespace As Their CMS"

August 11, 2017

4.0

Beautiful themes, loads of forums and admin articles when I'm in a bind, there is not a CMS out there that is more user-friendly than SS.

Pros

Ease of use. Bar none. My wife and I started a wedding videographer business and Squarespace is perfect for us. Having a background in working in digital marketing and advertising agencies, Squarespace was foreign to me because we typically built on WordPress or Drupal. But now that I've discovered SS, I'll never go back. Whether it's creating new pages, blog content, or changing headers and copy for SEO purposes - I'd suggest to every creative to start with SS as their CMS.

Cons

Could use more functionality. I'm not a coder, and I never will be. BUT, I can say there were times in the past when I was helping write for WordPress site when I could insert a plug-in or have a developer edit the site to our liking. Apparently something like 20% of the Internet is built on WordPress, and I don't doubt that. SS lacks the enormous community that WP users have as well as a million plug-ins and themes to choose from - however I would never switch from SS because it will always support my lack of "coderness" I need to be able to properly build a beautful WP site.

### "Squarespace"

June 3, 2021

Overall, I am happy with Squarespace and what it can do for my own business!

Pros

Easier than ever before to create and edit my own website. For something that was once an intimidating process, it is really easy to update and edit my own site. It's a great platform!

Cons

While it's easy to use, I am still limited by the assigned dimensions etc of a website hosting platform.

### "Using Squarespace makes my life so much easier as a small business owner! "

November 21, 2017

5.0

Pros

I love the number of templates offered. Squarespace's design team really took the time to create different templates that work for any kind of business/hobby.

Cons

Although their design features/style editor does entail a lot of options, I wish it was organized better. Instead of clicking on a page to edit, you have to backtrack out of the page section and go into the style editor. It would be easier if it was in one place. Secondly, I wish the resizing of images on a page worked easier.

### "Squarespace is it! "

September 30, 2020

Very pleased with how easy it is to use and how seamless and modern sites look

Pros

Easy to use and has a lot of great templates. Simple to make changes and update site. Changing templates easily transfers all original content.

Cons

You only get 1 free domain and Additional domains usually always end up costing closer to $70 instead of $20.

### "My Go to for Elegant Sites"

July 16, 2019

5.0

I like Squarespace a lot. The sites turn out beautifully and my clients are generally pleased. Issues only arise when they want more functionality out of a platform that has several limitations.

Pros

For my clients who are looking for a beautiful site that they can manage on their own, once designed, I prefer Squarespace. They offer stylish and functional templates that make creating a professional site easy.

Cons

Their "personal" plan is very limited. There are no autosaves for pages and posts. Their cover page options are limited.

### "Easy to use Website builder"

October 26, 2019

Squarespace is easy to use and to set up. There are some features that could be moved to trail program

Pros

It was easy to put together our online store and blog that accompanied it. The set up was seamless and the use of templates were nice.

Cons

There were some options that were only available if you paid for the full use of the site, some of those features that were behind the paywall would have been nice to have used in the trial to get the full feel for the whole product.

### "Simple website builder, but with limitations"

August 26, 2018

4.0

Pros

Squarespace is really user friendly for setting up an new website and making adjustments for visually appealing websites. It's straight forward, you have options of what you want to add to the webpage and then build your pages in blocks.

Cons

Depending on what type of website you are making I feel like squarespace sites can be limiting; it works well for portfolios, simple sales, and informational sites. If you are trying to really make something custom, I would suggest looking somewhere else. Because of its simplicity of use, the flip side of is that your hands are bound if you are trying to adjust the HTML. Also, it would be nice if there was an integrated option for creating users that have unique passwords. There are workarounds, but I feel like that should be something standard.

### "Not the Easiest Website Software to Use"

May 10, 2021

2.0

I struggled with updating my client's website, ultimately counselling the business to switch to an easier website platform.

Pros

I really don't like this software. Without video training, the average person (and even those with experience, like myself) would not be able to build a site.

Cons

As a Small Business Consultant, having used about 6 different website software packages, this is by far the most difficult! I literally could not get the page to size properly without having to watch a video. That is not "easy to use!" I counselled my client to switch.

### "DIY Website and Domain"

September 12, 2018

5.0

Overall, Squarespace is a HUGE money saver for those who do not need in depth functionality on their website and may just want a simple landing page with some information/contact buttons.

Pros

I have no experience in web development, but Squarespace made it SO simple to create our website and domain with just a few clicks of a button. It is VERY user friendly and the templates to start your website are easily customizable. The ability to purchase a domain and ease of connected a new domain to our site was mind blowing.

Cons

For a beginner, it takes a little trial and error to figure out exactly which design options apply to which pages. I think Squarespace is meant for the average joe with little developer experience, which limits some deeper functionality.

### "Squarespace is the best choice for growth hacking your website"

September 17, 2018

5.0

Pros

Multiple blogs! Having a website with multiple blogs, each with their own rss feed, allowed us to quickly and easily rank our website first in Google search results and allowed us to reach an Alexa ranking of under 900k within a few short months. This was a feature that not even Wordpress could provide us with.

Cons

It would be nice if there were more template designs to choose from. It's a bit limited and there aren't really any strong options for creating ecommerce stores or community websites like Buzzfeed-type sites.

### "A website builder that is pretty"

July 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

Squarespace is pretty, one can make a website that fits with what their vision is and it will look professionally done. While I do have a professional create my website, it is incredibly easy for me to go in and create extra pages, or anything I'd like without any design experience. Wonderful tool.

Cons

I wish there was a capability to do something about the white space on the sides of the webpages... sometimes it does kill the vibe of the page.

### "The best-looking, simplest, and most powerful template website builder that I've found. "

March 8, 2018

5.0

Pros

The templates, combined with What-you-see-is-what-you-get editing (drag and drop) makes it incredibly easy to make a fantastic website without coding at all.

Cons

There isn't much that I dislike... the only thing I wish could get better would be a longer free trial for the average user. Squarespace Circle members receive a 6-month free trial, but for a new organization getting a Squarespace site started, it's only a 2-week trial - which isn't long enough to get it off the ground.

### "Probably the best web host on the market for those without an HTML Background"

September 11, 2018

5.0

Overall SquareSpace has always been a fantastic service. I used it over the course of 3 years for my own website and never had a single issue with it outside of some customization options I felt the service was lacking. At the end of the day SquareSpace is for users who need a clean looking website, with minimal HTML/CSS knowledge. If you're looking for a completely customizable system this is not for you. If you want something super easy to work with, then stop right now and start a SquareSpace account.

### "Quickly Design your Site "

April 20, 2022

5.0

Squarespace is my first option for business owners on a lean budget and with little to no technical experience. They can easily update their site and blogs without the fear of breaking the site. It is also easy to set up a shop for customers to purchase goods and services.

Pros

Squarespace is easy to set up and very user-friendly. Most importantly, users don't have to worry about security and cyber attacks. Squarespace does the heavy lifting to ensure that sites are safe. This is very important for start-ups and small businesses that don't have the money to pay tech teams to maintain and monitor their site.

Cons

I wish Squarespace had more templates to choose from but overall great product for a great price.

### "Proud Squarespace User"

January 16, 2019

4.0

I've been using Squarepace for just over two years, and love it. In fact, my web designer and I just did a blog post and Facebook Live about the pros and cons. We're both fans, and I'm happy with my website being hosted here. It's pretty easy to use, has a lot of capabilities, and really like the company as well. I've recommended this platform many times, and will continue to do so!

Pros

Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use. And they have awesome customer service for when you have questions, as well as a pretty comprehensive knowledge base. I like that I can easily update my site on my own without outside help.

Cons

I've just started using the e-commerce functions over the past six months or so, and it's fine for now, but I wish it was more robust to grow with me. Who knows, though! They do make a lot of improvements every year.
