### "Exactly What I was Hoping For"

January 24, 2019

5.0

I have loved using Squarespace. I get a lot of compliments on my website, which I did myself, with absolutely no web-design experience. They give great tips and have lovely, unique layouts to choose from. It's really impossible to make something look bad. I feel like it's a great value for the money I'm paying.

Pros

I love that Squarespace is easy to use. It's almost impossible to make something look bad, and it's incredibly easy to make it look really good/professional.

Cons

When you really get into the nitty gritty in Squarespace, there are some features that are difficult to figure out. I wanted my navigation bar to drop down to show options for other pages, and I needed to ask technical support to figure out how to do so. They were easy to get in touch with and very helpful!

### "Quick, easy, beautiful pages in minutes"

December 8, 2022

5.0

Super simple, easy to use, very clear, very intuitive and great results.

Pros

So easy to use, drag and drop, the designs and clean and clear, easy to customize and with a lot of options built in like store and ability to connect to other things like MailerLite .

Cons

Not a lot of choices of templates compared to Wordpress and not as many widgets but more than enough for the basic things and you don't get overwhelned.

### "I am a user and I find it a good platform for personal blogs"

February 28, 2020

5.0

I needed a personal blog, but don't want to bother in acquiring servers, manage domains on my own or maintain infrastructure. I found Squarespace and I was able to push my website in under 3 hours.

Pros

It was easy to set up. It is a time saving solution for people who just want to solve one problem and not create extra work load

Cons

the fact that it doesn't allow you to inject javascript on the lowest plan but they also don't provide at least GTM support

### "Simple and intuitive"

February 6, 2020

5.0

Pros

Squarespace is probably one, if not the best, website builder. The templates look professional and need little customization. The plans are moderately priced, and new features are constantly being added. They also have a stellar customer support team!

Cons

There are times where certain accounts need to be reset as they won't sync properly from time to time. It's an annoyance but a relatively simple fix.

### "The best website building platform for non-coders"

August 22, 2019

5.0

With Squarespace we can build a fully functional website for our clients in less than 2 days with minimum costs.

Pros

Squarespece took website building for non-coders to the next phase. It is always up to date with every trend and the websites always look professional. Moreover, they are secure. We've been using it for low-end clients and they are all happy.

Cons

If you want to create more complex websites, it can get a bit tricky. Also, the customer support keeps referring you to FAQs and articles which are not always very helpful.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Squarespace

Wordpress is much more expensive and requires coding. This is why we only use wordpress for our higher profile clients.

### "Build quick and easy websites for any purpose"

December 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

We use Squarespace as an internal site where employees can login to request company swag (ie. t-shirts, branded pens and notebooks, sales collateral, etc.) Squarespace makes it easy for our employees to make those requests and for us on the internal marketing team to keep track of those requests and the amount of inventory we have for various items. With Squarespace, we can categorize items available, get notified when requests are made, and use forms to collect needed information (ie. addresses on where to ship items to, recipient names, etc.). Squarespace is pretty straightforward when it comes to building your site and offers a lot of functionality.

Cons

No complaints! Squarespace gets the job done and does exactly what we need it to do.

### "The website builder & host for everyone"

January 31, 2019

3.0

Pros

Squarespace enables any individual to create a good looking website with features such as template builders that you can work off of. It’s an all-in-one solution for the individual looking to get their website up and running with little hassle.

Cons

Squarespace does not offer the same level of integrations with 3rd party applications like their competitors, as well as, does not offer great marketing tools to drive traffic to your website.

### "So easy to make websites"

July 25, 2018

5.0

I have a beautiful portfolio website.

Pros

Squarespace makes website development easy, and thats saying something. They give you a lot of room for customization but in a way that someone who doesn't know anything about web code can do no problem. They offer beautiful designs as well.

Cons

Hmm, it might be nice of square space had a built in service to purchase domains so you dont have you use a 3rd party service.

### "Great intro web development software"

March 26, 2019

4.0

Pros

Lowers the barrier to throwing a classy looking site up on the web. UI is simple enough that any computer savvy user can do great things with it, even if they don't know any programming.

Cons

Fairly constraining from a design and app-development perspective. Once you hit the limit of what you can do with the (relatively simple) templates, integrating more advanced code becomes a significant challenge.

### "Phenomenal tool for web design"

February 3, 2022

5.0

Wonderful product

Pros

I like the grid-design because it saves so much time. I absolutely LOVE the intuitiveness of the web design interface. A ten year old kid could do it.

Cons

I absolutely HATE the fact that you can't change the desktop layout from the mobile layout. Wix lets you do that. Also, although the grid-design feature saves time, it is a significant con because it comes at a cost of functionality.

### "Love square space! Easy beautiful websites with tons of flexibility"

January 11, 2018

5.0

I get so many compliments on our website. We are very happy with the product.

Pros

Easy to use, templates are a great starting point. You can have a beautiful. well organized website in an hour or so! There is also an awesome community that builds plug-ins for square space websites. Or if you like you can have square space build you a custom site. The opportunity to grow your site and add to it as your company grows.

### "Quick and easy for basic usage"

April 16, 2022

3.0

Pros

The easiness of all work, both for implementation and continuous work.

Cons

The not very flexible design-work. The "squared" format is great for basic web-designs, like blogs or similar, but not when seeking to be creative and have dynamic websites.

### "Beautiful Templates"

April 28, 2020

5.0

Pros

The templates are so beautiful and sleek. Squarespace makes it look like you paid a lot of money for a designer to build your website but it's incredibly affordable.

Cons

I had a website on an old version of the site and wanted to update my template to a new version which could only be done by closing down my site entirely and signing up for a new account and completely recreating my site. This was quite a lot of work and I also had to go back and ask for a refund on my old site. I feel like there should be a much easier way to do this that would save everyone a lot of time and trouble.

### "Squarespace Review"

October 31, 2019

5.0

I would definitely recommend Squarespace to those looking for a professional and cost efficient website builder!

Pros

This software is simple and easy to use as well as intuitive. Quick support/there are lots of how-to videos and instructions that make everything pretty easy to figure out.

Cons

A lot of the templates don't allow for customization, which can be daunting and annoying. I had a lot of trial and error when first using.

### "Good website and eCommerce platform, some options should come included"

October 21, 2022

5.0

I offer Squarespace for customers that want a simple and secure website system. Its great if they have physical or in person thing to sell, less so if they want to sell online training. Also cannot be used for online memberships as it lacks a "member" area.

Pros

Very good website editor, WYSIWYG. Good blog / publishing feature.Easy to use even for beginners.

Cons

The newsletter and email automation is an optional add-on, treated as such, which makes it a bit cumbersome to create sales funnels with automations.Lacks a "member" area for customer returning.

### "Squarespace Best Choice For Price, Support and Design"

April 5, 2019

5.0

Squarespace would be my recommendation (even over Wordpress) for personal or professional bloggers. The design + support make it an amazing option!

Pros

I LOVE Squarespace. I used squarespace to build my personal blog and the process was incredibly user friendly. I liked the limited number of layouts because even though there are less layouts, the customization makes it looks personal. The support is AMAZING. Great choice for displaying images, too.

Cons

It was hard to pay the yearly fee. Though minimal, it was worth it to have my website hosted and owned by myself. It's been worth it!

### "Beautiful sites but bit of a learning curve to get there"

July 25, 2019

5.0

I eventually abandoned using Squarespace in favor of another solution. I did appreciate their attentiveness in customer support but I think more effort needs to be applied to really hand holding users who need it through customization of a website template.

Pros

I like that Squarespace does a lot of the design and infrastructure thinking for you when it comes to building a website.

Cons

It's really hard to get started to customize the website templates to fit your business needs and Squarespace's support/training has always seemed a bit too steep in terms of learning curve.

December 1, 2022

great for people who just want to build a minimal, easy website and keep it running, perhaps with a blog post occasionally. For people who are looking for a lot of customization, Squarespace is difficult. It is hard to even do minor customizations like resizing image size. Disappointing in that aspect

### "Beautiful, sleek and super simple to use"

March 29, 2019

5.0

Pros

We LOVE Squarespace and how it's transformed or website and our capacity to manage it. We had a volunteer put the website together and then leave really clear instructions on how to update it, so we update it at least monthly, and it's super easy to do. The templates are incredibly varied but we especially love the modern, clean ones (we love crisp, clean visuals) and they are so consistent and really look better than just templates!

Cons

Sometimes when moving boxes around or trying to resize boxes it can be a bit frustrating as it's not as adaptable as you might want it to be (it will make things either huge or tiny but not in between). it might be frustrating if you're a graphics pro as it might not be as customizable as you'd like!

### "I tell everyone to use this!"

August 5, 2019

5.0

So easy to use and so professional looking. It's a really nice platform for any level of experience with websites.

Pros

I love that 1. It's foolproof to use and you don't need any design/website building skill to know how to use it and 2. I really like that MailChimp has now been integrated directly into the platform!

Cons

What I like least is that if you're going to take your website down and not pay for it (say if you're currently not wanting to use and share the site), you can no longer access the site to work on it or come back to it later on. It disappears pretty much.

### "E-comm just ready to go live."

May 30, 2019

We're done with basic market research and then all set to launch our startup. Without a technical founder it was tough for us to go live, but thanks to Squarespace Team which acted as Tech Team.

Pros

It's all set to be deployed and go live. We love those awesome templates which are perfectly designed.

Cons

Pricing. When there're many free to affordable alternatives then why would some opt for Squarespace?

### "Anyone Can Use It"

October 18, 2022

5.0

Pros

I love how simple it is to build a website with Squarespace. Literally anyone from any skill level can go in, select a template and update it to create a site. On the flip side of that it's also great how more advanced users can customize their sites with codes. You can incorporate your social media feeds so content is automatically updated. It's essential that any business has a website these days and Squarespace makes it so ANYONE can do so.

Cons

I would like to see Squarespace incorporate more scheduling features and appointment management.

### "Great middle ground!"

June 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

I really like how easy, friendly, and how capable Squarespace is with handling any kind of website tasks. Being able to create anything from a simple landing page all the way down to something more complex, it is incredibly helpful.

Cons

I would love for more integrations in the future that would then help with the price point of the website each month.
