### "Beautiful websites - easy and cheap"

April 3, 2019

4.0

Very good for quick cheap sites.

Pros

So cheap, and the templates are truly beatful. The UI is easy, and actually fairly powerful for developers

Cons

All fothe complex layouts and animation use javascript and in some cases they were very resources intensive (ie hogs).

### "Squarespace - Easy Website Creation"

September 29, 2020

4.0

If you need to setup a site and have minimal tech knowledge or an IT person this is the way to go. It's easy to get an online presence as long as you don't need those advanced features.

Pros

Squarespace was very easy to setup and that's probably it's biggest benefit. It has a lot of templates that are free to use so you can make your site your own.

Cons

If you want to do some more in-depth changes (code changes, template updates, Google Tag Manager for example) - you can't do this with most of the templates on Squarespace. They made it super easy but not super customizable with more advanced features.

Pros

Its great for a quick and easy web design software. If you know nothing about building a website its a great place to start and try to build your own

Cons

Its all templates. Which is great if you are looking for something basic but customizing and getting everything just the way you want it is not easy to do with Squarespace.

### "You only need Squarespace"

June 14, 2022

Love love love!!! I recommend starting from square one with squarespace! Seriously, uncomplicate your life and business and switch!

Pros

I cannot say enough good things about this program! I got the square reader for in person sales and have been learning about all the FREE features that come along with it! As a small business owner my budget is tight for accounting and record keeping. But squarespace keeps track of thay for me! Not to mention gives me a free online store. AND offering business loans based on your squarespace sales?!?!?! I am in love and will probably end of being a brand ambassador.

Cons

Nothing bad about this company yet! Just start using it!

### "Easy website builder and management tool"

April 22, 2019

5.0

Pros

Squarespace makes it easy for anyone to set up a website and manage it when needed. There is also a great appointment add on and storefront.

Cons

From my experience the SEO set up for the webpages is a little weak and could have more functionality.

### "Learnable"

March 27, 2020

4.0

It’s ok. I don’t love it. But until I can afford to hire a bigger outfit to do my web work for me this will fit the bill.

Pros

I like that the websites are all set up in modules. That makes it less likely to screw up. I appreciate the clean designs.

Cons

I find some of the tools non-intuitive. And I didn’t find the support super helpful. We found an answer for that moment after several attempts but the same issue keeps happening.

### "Use this all the time"

November 30, 2019

5.0

Squarespace opened a whole new world of opportunity for me and my work. I am able to promote my projects and my talents while still have full control of what people see and how I create the layout of my site. Highly recommend.

Pros

I love how easy squarespace is to use and promote my work while also having total control over my website and space.

Cons

The product was very easy to learn how to utilize so I have nothing to say negatively about the software.

### "Squarespace Review"

December 9, 2019

5.0

Overall, my experience has been pretty great with Squarespace. It is easy to use and helps create a professional looking website for our business.

Pros

Squarespace has been great for helping our studio create a professional looking website without having to pay an outsider for it. It is very user friendly with many options to create a unique website. I also like that they come out with new themes every so often so your space does not get boring.

Cons

I wish there were a few more tools that we could use to help create a more unique site or you could move boxes around easier to format the website better. You also used to be able to edit your photos on squarespace, but they have removed many of those features and it is quite limited with what you can do now. I have to edit and resize all of my photos before uploading.

### "Beautiful website without any web dev experience"

April 30, 2020

5.0

I didn't have to have any experience of web development, programming or anything like that, and I built and launched a beautiful looking website.

Pros

What can I say, I have zero web development experience, but I built my website and regularly get compliments that it looks very professional. What I like the most about Squarespace is the following: - beautiful website templates that work seamlessly on computers/tablets/mobile phones - the templates restrict your ability to place text/images anywhere you want, so you have no chance of messing up the look of your website - smooth transition between templates - BEST customer service ever - excellent resources - detailed user guides, webinars etc

Cons

As someone without any experience in web development, I did struggle a bit with using Squarespace. My main struggles were are follows: - it's not very intuitive - it took a long time navigating between different pages and menus to find what I was looking for - too much choice in some functions - a little pricey

### "Squarespace is pretty awesome"

February 12, 2019

Pros

The drag and snap feature for the different content blocks is so cool I could arrange my website exactly the way I wanted, and I love the style options.

Cons

It's not the easiest website builder to use though.

### "Great value"

March 26, 2020

5.0

It's a good product at a fair cost. You know what you are getting and won't incur any additional hidden costs.

Pros

Squarespace makes it easy to make a professional good looking site. Most every feature you will need is included. The interface is pretty intuitive, and the support is excellent.

Cons

If you want to really customize your site, you may run into some limitations. You do have the ability to add some custom code or CSS if you have the skills. There are some creative workarounds for many issues if you use google or Squarespace's user forums. Although they market this is "DIY" I have a lot of clients who come to me to build their sites because there is a learning curve. Don't expect this to be a quick fix - it does take time to set up a good looking functional site.

### "Cannot say enough great things!"

March 27, 2019

I will continue to utilize SS for as long as possible. It's such a great tool with top notch functionality for a website builder!

Pros

This is the - by far - best, quick website builder I've utilized! Great UI, easy integration and so many great templates.

Cons

More updated templates - more often would be helpful!

### "Squarespace make it incredibly easy to run a successful business with a DIY website"

March 15, 2019

5.0

Pros

Squarespace offers a simple drag & drop interface to help users build a website. With additional features like e-commerce, blogs, and soon to be email-marketing, this is a perfect marketing tool for beginning businesses who want a website that works and looks great! They provide the hosting and you can purchase your domain & custom email with them as well. Plus you get a Free SSL certificate when you sign up (which is required by Google).

Cons

My biggest complaint with Squarespace is the limitation you have with design. Unless you are a website designer or a really tech-savvy person, it can be hard to make the templates look a little bit different than anyone elses. I wish they would give more flexibility & control over the templates.

### "Great design, but difficult to customize"

February 23, 2020

3.0

If you want a great looking website without doing much work, Squarespace has got create designs from the get go. However, customizing the site is not so easy and would require a developer. Even then there may be limitations.

Pros

\- Easy way to make a great looking site from scratch. - Drag and drop functionality to design is easy - Great UI

Cons

\- Sometimes it's difficult to get the layout to look exactly the way you want it to, or it's not possible at all without a developer - Not easy to look at the backend code and make edits - Could be costly

### "Anyone can create a website."

May 16, 2018

4.0

Pros

As one of a couple template-based site builders I have used, squarespace may be the most approachable. Very good for someone with no experience who just needs a simple but beautiful site.

Cons

A beautiful simple site is easy, but adding more complex features and functionality can get confusing for new users. The site often looks like it was clearly made with squarespace, so may not be good for more professional/enterprise uses.

### "A powerful tool Website Building."

October 22, 2022

4.0

Pros

Squarespace is powerful and trustworthy. There are numerous guidelines and the support team is always there. From blogs to building premium sites, squarespace deals it pretty easily. Lots of themes to choose from.

Cons

Compared to other options, it's expensive. The learning procedure is lengthy. Sometimes the navigation might seem confusing.

### "Great for the price, can be pretty confusing. "

April 12, 2019

3.0

Good for the price, I'll still use for more simple websites. Not for complex ones.

Pros

The price is the bets part about this. You can make a pretty decent website for pretty cheap.

Cons

Hard to customize. As a graphic designer, I still found this software pretty hard to navigate. The interface is pretty frustrating. Also, many thing you'll want to do won't be available in certain templates and you wont know this until after its pretty much too far gone.

### "Close enough for very simple designs"

June 24, 2018

4.0

Pros

Square really does have a solid product that allows you to create mostly static, "business card" style websites. For small businesses, freelancers, and personal projects there is probably no other product right now that provides the ease of use, all in one package, and choice of templates that Squarespace does. You can have a simple site up in running in hours, even with some light commerce elements.

Cons

What Squarespace, and others, are trying to do is put everything into modules, which are all designed to play nicely with each other. Well the issue is that as soon as you have a site requirements that steps outside their defined box, you start seeing the previously invisible walls. Dynamic content management, large and commerce focused sites with large volumes... Squarespace isnt designed for these cases and wont be able to hand them very well.

### "Easy to Use, No Coding Experience Needed"

March 25, 2022

5.0

Pros

I use Squarespace for parcel tax and bond measures for a period of no more than 6 months for each measure. It is very easy to use and I don't need any coding experience for these types of websites. The turnaround time for customer online support to get back to me via email and chat is quick. Their pricing is also reasonable. I would not make the switch to a competitor.

Cons

When I first started using Squarespace, I thought it would be more helpful if I could speak to a customer support team member on the phone because I was so new to it, however, I quickly found out that their online support resolved any issues quickly.

### "Useful, but too many technical issues"

November 11, 2019

3.0

Useful for those who do not have a credit card machine and just a smartphone, but is much to unreliable and expensive.

Pros

Solves credit card payment issues for many owners who do not have the capability to incorporate a full credit card machine for their business. This software is done fully through the phone app and an attached credit card reader, and it eliminates a lot of the previously required infrastructure needed to accept credit payments for your business.

Cons

The software would often malfunction and put payments through twice on statements, or would not read the credit cards and a payment would not be made. the software needs to become way more reliable. Additionally the percentage of each transaction taken as payment for the software is way to high.

### "Website building made easier"

December 17, 2019

Squarespace helps me create a professional looking website, to get my message out to the world & allows clients to book appointments with me.

Pros

Build and publish a website with relative ease, using a fantastic selection of themes. Templates are fully customisable, so you can create something truly unique.

Cons

What’s not to like? There are some limitations in the themes, but nothing that you can’t work around or comprise on.

### "Great website builder if you want sleek-looking sites"

April 10, 2021

5.0

If you don't have budget (yet) for a web developer, try your hands building a website on Squarespace.

Pros

The biggest value you can get from Squarespace is the impressive catalog of professionally-designed templates. From the website builders I have tried over the years, Squarespace has some of the coolest designs. They also come with a bunch of content blocks which you can easily customize, along with the rest of the different page elements.

Cons

Squarespace isn't the easiest to use. The section-based approach to building a website does have a bit of a learning curve.
