Good monthly fee and makes for a very nice presentation for clients. Pros The templates are solid. For those who do not want to spend the time making layout tweaks, you can create a really nice site in very little time. For me, I liked having the ability to make proprietary adjustments to the layout for my specific website needs. Cons I do wish the UI was a little more drag and drop. Pros We have a lot of clients who don't have complicated website needs. Squarespace is a great, easy to use option that we can handover, knowing they will have a lot of support and it will work with their growing requirements. Cons There is not a lot of ease in customising any of the templates. We are sometimes a little constrained by how the templates function and it would be good to jump into the code to customise, but this hasn't always gone as planned in the past. It is very reliable to host a website on. Pros The admin page is very simple and easy to set up a website in no time. Also there not a single incident I encountered a downtime. It really helps create the independent power users and builds their confidence. Cons I don't have many complaints. It's a great software to use for my quick turn-around clients. No issues at all. Pros Hands down most useful payment tool, Ever since adding square as a business payment it has helped with sales immensely, the platform is easy to use and makes payment processing very easy for us. Cons fee's but i guess they need to make money somehow, everything is easy to use, so far no complaints from me or the staff. Pros On paper, creating a website seems like a tedious job and introduction of Squarespace has change my thought process about that and has been seamless to use. March 28, 2020 4.0 My overall experience with squarespace is good, it is a great way to start building websites without any technical skills and my team loves using the software builder. Pros I like how squarespace is a website builder that allows me to easily build the websites in a drag and drop fashion and is one of the most intuitive ways for me to build objects on a webpage without additional complex coding skills. Cons I least liked that Squarespace does not support dynamic and custom code for the websites and on some elements there are design conflicts with external objects. Review Source KE Kate E. Pros Squarespace has been a great website platform to handle and design with as a non-web designer. The drop and drag, ease of adding and replacing items, the partnerships they've for integration onto the website (Stripe, Acuity Scheduling) has been wonderful as a start up preschool. When I need something done I am able to change the web instantly and move on with my day. It's great to have an accessible platform for those who don't have the budget for a web designer but need things to look nice and have easy access. So glad to have signed up with Squarespace. Cons Sometimes figuring it all out is tricky but gets easier with time. Squarespace is constantly adding partners so it's exciting to see it grow and add features. Sometimes the formatting isn't always what I want exactly but it's usually close enough that I find a way to format things the way I want them. The designs are beautiful and it's easy to upload content to predesigned templates. There is the option to add custom css to your site, which does require coding knowledge, but can make your site even more customized to your brand. Cons My company is using a "discontinued" template. When I was having issues with our Custom CSS and reached out to support they told me they couldn't help me because the template was an old template. I found it very frustrating because shifting to a new template, while it may be ideal, would take a lot of time. The problem I had needed a quick fix and I was forced to ask a friend with a more technical background for help. Review Source Charrelle J. Pros Squarespace is great software for novice web designers. You can find plenty of web templates for a variety of different types of websites. Easily modify elements by simply dragging, dropping, and clicking. Cons This software is not for pros. If you want a more professional quality site with advanced features, you will not find it among the templates available in Squarespace. Also, there is a monthly fee to publish your site. Comes preloaded with a ton of customizable, and slick looking templates so its easy to look professional from the get-go. Cons Upgrading to add custom code. If you want to add javascript to your site, you'll need to operate it at least at the business tier. Neither of us had set up a website before so this was such an easy, intuitive way to create a professional website for a very low cost. Cons As time went on and I got more comfortable with using the software, I wanted more customization of the templates than I was able to do. It's very transparent in terms of cost and there are no hidden fees. It's great for me to set up sites for clients and then hand them over to them, feeling empowered and in charge of the experience. Great UI, beautiful templates. Cons This is not a good tool for clients who want to change fonts and spacing of elements. It will be much more difficult to do these kinds of customizations.
