### "Easy way to build your website!"

July 6, 2022

5.0

Being able to quickly and easily produce a website is great for a start up or personal website.

Pros

The setup and edit of websites is made simple with SquareSpace. If can use a word processing program, you can build a website that is professional looking and highly functional.

Cons

It can get a bit pricey with all of the add ons (G Suite, etc).

### "Plan on purchasing"

September 23, 2019

5.0

The limited time I used Squarespace and played with the backend simply tells me that this is a site I want to use for my e-commerce needs. As a customer using sites that use the Squarespace platform, I've found checkout and browsing to be easy and painless.

Pros

I found Squarespace to be the most approachable website host for people with limited time. If you'd rather spend time making products, this is the site for you. It's really easy to set up, manage and works flawlessly for your customers too. They designed Squarespace with the busy maker in mind and it shows.

Cons

I can't afford it and don't have time for an e-commerce website right now. I've got them earmarked though, for when things settle down and I start really producing.

Reason for choosing Squarespace

I find their templates to be the most approachable for my customers and they don't lead you off your site to other shops.

### "It's really really amazing- if you can afford it "

April 10, 2022

5.0

Pros

It's absolutely incredible, has a lot of features you'd want and you can code what else you may need. Support was very nice. Was a little confusing at first but got the hang of it quickly.

Cons

I kept thinking it's too good to be true, this can't be free! yeah, it's not free. You have to pay to even publish your site, even privately just for you to see how it looks. It's a bit understandable with all the amazing features but it would be nice if there was a free version. I was looking for a websitey cheap alternative to what I use for my website, but ended up sticking with it. I personally can't afford it right now but don't let that stop you

### "great website designs"

June 15, 2018

4.0

Pros

Squarespace is super easy to use for a beginner and gives you great results, it makes you look like you put a lot more into it than you did

Cons

I don't like that it can be difficult to find where some design elements are located or pages, that part seems to be harder than it is

### "Squarespace is a great, cheap, and modern way to design a personal or business website in 2019."

June 6, 2019

4.0

Squarespace has been a valuable resource for me when it comes to my personal website as well as selling my design services for setting up websites for other users. I highly recommend it for 2019 web developers.

Pros

The ease of use when transitioning from other software packages is something to take serious note of with Squarespace. The way to move things around feels natural and alot of the templates look great from the start.

Cons

One of the drawbacks with Squarespace is that you can't truly customize any of the templates. Also, if you thing "a" about a template and thing "b" about another, you can't mix and match features... you are left hoping that you find a template that encompasses everything you need.

### "Good if you don't have a clue"

May 23, 2019

3.0

I have actually done a couple of things with Squarespace in the past. I find that it's good for those who are beginners and don't want to really look and alter the code. If you are fine with the options that are presented to you then you are good to go. If you wanted to make some changes to the code down below I didn't find that as welcoming.

Pros

The layouts are actually really good. You can make a beautiful website fairly quickly with Squarespace. It also is very easy for a person to make a decent looking website without much knowledge at all.

Cons

It is not quite the easiest to do more customized changes. You almost feel like you are stuck inside their boxes they have set up for you. I wanted to do some more customized looks but it wouldn't let me. I had to settle which is not what one wants to do when doing something as a favor for a friend.

### "Squarespace provides an extremely user-friendly experience for novice-to-intermediate web developers"

May 17, 2018

5.0

Pros

I love that you are designing a website but without having to have too much knowledge of HTML and other coding. Allows for intermediate web developers to create beautiful websites without too much training.

Cons

I do not like its inability to revert to previous iterations or edits, etc. While it is nice that changes happen in realtime, it would be nice at times to be able to revert. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to export the website data and import it.

### "Squarespace - good for non-developers"

December 6, 2018

3.0

I used it because it was already in use on a site that I came to work on.

Pros

For someone that doesn't know any code, you can set up a decent-looking site.

Cons

Trying to use the visual editor was an exercise in frustration. Layouts could get ruined if you were not careful when you were trying to move things around to reposition them.

### "Clean Cut Website Hosting & Building"

February 11, 2020

Love the ability to connect through paypal and other payments. Very modernized templates.

Pros

I really enjoyed the ease of Squarespace. It offers a variety of different templates for you website. You answer questions to help determine the best type of layout/template. Pricing is very fair at $40 a month for a commerce level.

Cons

Depending on the level you choose, the transaction fee percentage can be kind of high (3%) - this is at the business level.

### "Easy to use website builder"

March 15, 2022

Squarespace was easy to implement and is very functional!

Pros

Squarespace supports a lot of media as well as integrates with different functions for a seamless website that is beautiful and easy to use. I also appreciate that they offer heavy discounts and that you don’t have to make separate payments for hosting and domain name.

Cons

I do not like that once you choose a custom template, you cannot change it.

5.0

Pros

we have built our business on squarespace. It is easy to use, security is great and offers a self-managed portal for clients so they cant break anything.

Cons

I wish the login security was a bit better. Please offer two-factor authentication and make it easier for teams or agencies to collaborate on all websites.

### "Squarespace is THE content management system for non-technical users "

May 20, 2018

5.0

Squarespace is a great content management system for marketing website purposes.

Pros

\- It is extremely user-friendly for non-technical admins - great UI! - Page / template layouts are very well-designed, creating an end-product with a fantastic user experience.

Cons

\- While you can inject custom CSS, its flexibility is relatively limited. - Functional customization is also limited. To that end, it's not ideal for large websites. - Price is very high compared to similar products.

### "Squarespace helped me build a beautiful portfolio website with ease. "

March 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

I love that the templates make it easy to format your website. You don't have to have any skills in coding to make your website look great. I also like that the website is responsive and looks great on mobile and computer. You don't have to do anything to adjust this, it does it automatically for you, which is extremely helpful!

Cons

I don't like that it limits the number of galleries you can include on each page. Also, I sometimes find the functionality of the site difficult to use. I have to look around a lot to find certain features.

### "I hat e to admit it's a good solutoin "

September 25, 2018

4.0

I drug my feet and gnashed my teeth for a long time about Squarespace and as a developer I'd still rather build a site using Wordpress or Drupal, but Squarespace is undeniably and solid and very good solution for individuals and small businesses looking to build a great looking brochure website.

Pros

It's very easy to get a solid looking personal website up and running with just about ever feature that most users could need. No need for developers or web designers.

Cons

It kind of makes web developers obsolete for brochure type sites

Easy to use and produced a good product.

Pros

Squarespace took very little time to learn to navigate as I was building a website. It easily produced a clean looking page.

Cons

It is not as easy to link social pages as some other programs I have used.

### "Great Website Builder for a Total Web Design Newbie"

March 26, 2019

5.0

Pros

I think that Squarespace is the easiest website building software to use. It has the shortest learning curve while still providing decent functionality and quality designs. Its eCommerce is also fairly good for the price and provides very user-friendly analytics.

Cons

Once you start building a business, a website on Squarespace's feature set can struggle to meet your needs. Squarespace is fairly limited in terms of functionality that you can get out of the box. And so while I think it's a great option for people who don't really know anything about web design and just want to get a website up as quickly as possible, you will likely eventually need to move off of Squarespace (or possibly get custom Squarespace development) in order to really build your business.

### "Easy to use"

March 13, 2019

4.0

Pros

Squarespace is an all in one. You can create your website, have it hosted, and have your domain name all in one place. Their premade designs are pretty good and there isn't much maintenance you have to do for your website.

Cons

It is a bit pricey for what you get. For someone who doesn't know anything about websites or hosting though it is good. You can't make too many changes to their premade layouts and it isn't possible to make major changes to the coding.

### "Excellent for those who never want to leave the box"

January 8, 2019

4.0

If you're the kind of person who can be satisfied with what's handed to you, go with Squarespace. It keeps life super simple. No wondering who's got your hosting and domain. It's all in one place. But if you're picky and you like to customize things that have been handed to you, I'd try something else. Squarespace just wouldn't be the best option for you.

Pros

It is indeed simple to use. It makes content creation possible for those who have no desire to touch code.

Cons

I've been the one called upon to make changes that were desired but not possible. Often times templates don't have enough flexibility. Granted the user is able to choose another template, but greater flexibility would be helpful.
