### "Squarespace - For All Shapes and Sizes"

January 30, 2025

4.0

Overall I am completely pleased with Squarespace. I feel all of the pros highly outweigh any cons that are involved.

Pros

I really enjoy the ease of Squarespace. It is very upfront in its ability to ensure usability for beginners as well as more in-depth processes for experts. It's easy, fast, and offers a great amount of support.

Cons

While there are not many things I dislike about Squarespace, the very thing I enjoy is also a perplexing issue. Correct placement is a bit harder to achieve when using the website builder. Also, a colleague mentioned Squarespace, in the past, had problems with backing up work.

I found the time it took to design with Squarespace, along with the results achieved, were better in quality and ease of use than in Webflow.

I relish some benefits such as email marketing automation, website design and eCommerce customization with Squarespace.

Pros

Squarespace is the most robust website builder that I have ever tried. It involves drag and drop to create websites with Squarespace which does not require coding at all.

Cons

Ever since I started using Squarespace in 2020, I have never experienced challenges even with mild website development skills.

The overall experience has been great. No issues with customer service or the options that are provided.

Pros

The design options and ability to create the graphics that you need make this packed full of every feature you need to create your website pages quickly and professionally.

### "Effortless and effective web design "

December 27, 2025

5.0

I’ve been using Squarespace since it came on the market. I’ve built numerous websites and online stores with it and it’s still my go-to for new websites.

Pros

The templates and online store experience with Squarespace is top quality. The ease with which a person can build a beautiful site for little knowledge of web development is second to none.

Cons

It’s a little difficult to reach someone at customer service if you need an answer quickly. Though they always follow up, sometimes it takes a day or more.

### "Good payment system "

March 6, 2026

I like that it's accessible and easy for everyone to use. It's portable and can travel anywhere you might need it.

Pros

I love that this is an easy way to be able to sell your products and get paid for them. It works great for personal hobby businesses and is simple an easy to use.

Cons

I don't like having to pay a fee for using it especially as a small business but you always have to pay a fee for everything anyways so this is relatively cheap.

### "A simple website builder with pro results! "

September 23, 2025

5.0

The drag-and-drop features make it easy and intuitive to build pages, giving you the freedom to easily adjust layouts, add images, videos, and interactive elements. Each template can be customized to your specific needs, so your site doesn’t just look like another cookie-cutter design. Overall, a great choice for a website platform.

Pros

Squarespace is an excellent platform for anyone who wants a professional-looking website without needing to write a code. The platform offers high-quality templates that are visually appealing right out of the box, and flexible enough to customize for any brand/style.

Cons

There are a few limitations worth noting: The pricing is on the higher side compared to some competitors, especially for small businesses or personal sites. Third-party app integrations are also somewhat limited, so if you need very specialized functionality, you may feel restricted.

### "Looks great with a few limitations"

February 14, 2025

As someon who went to school for design, I love squarespace for the flexibity it delivers. Clients who wish to use this platform have been very happy with the work provided. Getting them positioned in their desired price point.

Pros

A really robust website builder option for ecommerce. it offers an all-in-one marketing solution for businesses that want an online presence.

Cons

I feel for the non designer who hasn't any language or education that supports design trends will find it a little difficult to manipulate templates to achieve their dream website.

### "Great website platform that creates incredible digital space. "

June 27, 2025

Overall, I've loved using Squarespace on a professional level for our non-profit as well as for my personal website.

Pros

Squarespace has great options for website layouts. The navigation tools for development are intuitive, and they help make the website look professional and appealing to visitors.

Cons

I haven't really had any issues with Squarespace. One area would be more customization, but that is more of a user issue. I need to learn more about how to craft the detailed changes I want.

### "Easy to Use and Simple"

December 3, 2025

5.0

I don't have much tech skills, but this makes it so easy to create everything I need to have a nice looking website. I don't want to put too much effort into my website, so this is perfect.

Pros

I love how easy it is to drag and drop an entire website. It has an easy snapping feature that aligns everything to ensure it looks nice. It has many presets, so creation is a joy.

Cons

With it being so 'simple' it can be rigid at times. There isn't too much customization and it looks like a 'Squarespace' website.

### "Square space is beginner friendly. "

August 20, 2025

4.0

Squarespace was my first web design experience and was very easy to use, clean, and integrated a lot of apps. I do wish the design capabilities were more experimental as most templates are kind of basic.

Pros

I like how clean Squarespace is. It is very user friendly and beginner friendly. Make a professional website super easily.

Cons

The pricing is a bit excessive at times with add-ons, domains etc. Buying a domain elsewhere is recomended.

### "User friendly interface & beautiful, modern templates"

May 1, 2025

5.0

I have build 2 different websites with Squarespace and have managed the two sites for a combined 5 years.

Pros

The user interface is pretty intuitive and the templates are beautiful! Easy to create a stunning site.

Cons

I wish that the templates were a bit more customizable. Sometimes I want to be a bit more granular with edits, but the way the pages are organized into blocks limits how I can position elements.

Cons

### "SquareSpace in a Boutique Space"

September 22, 2025

5.0

Pros

Used it for my wife's boutique shop & was very easy to keep track of inventory & both cash & card sale tracking were very easy when needing to complete sales tax.

Cons

Sometimes with the sales tax aspect, on items we were not charging sales tax on, it would sometimes get finicky when trying to remove the sales tax. A recent update has seemed to make it a little easier to manage now though.

### "Great desktop functionality, mobile view is lacking"

November 22, 2024

4.0

Good, I still use it but I really hope someone from Squarespace see's my notes in the cons section.

Pros

Square Space to me is still the best tool out there to get a website out quickly, but it does have quick a few things lacking still (see below). It has a good amount of templates that you can customize really easily, but they do all look a bit templately still.

Cons

1) The mobile view cannot be adjusted. Anything you edit from the mobile view will affect the desktop view. I think Squarespace should take a page from UnBounce who lets to optimize the mobile side separately from the desktop side. 2) There needs to be more ajax and jquery type animation functionality to help the website look less templately. Any type of animation is essentially no-existent outside of galleries fading in and the text underline. 3) I don't like how Squarespace is constantly spamming me to upgrade to the eCommerce plan when I'm not making a eCommerce website. They've even added an error icon next to one of the templates I'm using now. This is very annoying.

### "SquareSpace- Not Very User-Friendly But Gets the Job Done"

April 24, 2025

3.0

It serves it's function. We do not know of any alternatives or how difficult it would be to transition our website so we are satisfied enough for now but making changes to our website has become a frustrating experience.

Pros

We like the ability to have so much control of our website & being able to change whatever we wish at a moments notice.

Cons

It is SO hard to properly edit your website. You may have a layout you like and then go to publish the changes, and everything shifts! Really frustrating to work with, and not very user-friendly. It takes a while of playing around with it to grasp how to add new sections, text boxes, images, etc.

### "Squarespace does not fit into a round hole"

February 11, 2025

4.0

Except for the constant reminder to save your work, my experience was good, not wow, but good. But because I am a WordPress expert, it does take some time to get used to this interface.

Pros

The drag and drop editor was very easy to use, I also loved the unique website templates. The support is also extremely responsive

Cons

Unpredictable cost on once free features, that now might be paid. It's very much template focused with very little customization.

### "Good tool but not as easy to use as they make it seem"

May 27, 2025

4.0

Not a bad platform but quite time consuming and if you compare the end result with the price, it’s quite expensive. Good tool when you know what you’re doing but for a small business or a one man band, not as easy to use as they make it seem in advertisements

Pros

I do appreciate a lot of options that are available and the templates that can be used as inspirations

Cons

Using templates is not easy and it all looks completely different at the end, not very intuitive and dealing with my own domain was a bit of a nightmare

May 28, 2025

Pros

Squarespace has a learning curve but ends up being incredibly versatile and powerful as a no-code website creation tool. The UI/UX options are very aesthetic and appealing.

Cons
