September 19, 2024 5.0 Pros The amount of professionalism this added to my business for the minimal cost is unparallel. It elevated my branding in a way I did not think was possible without hiring professionals. I could use a template and not feel like I had to compromise my creativity and vision which was a huge concern of mine. If anything, it enhanced both and made me so proud to present/promote my business. Cons Only con would be that it does not offer a free plan like the competitors do. Cons There were a couple of items that were not easy to figure out but after contacting their support I got the answers I needed to figure it out. I can get ahold of their help desk, there’s a ton of online articles for support and almost everything I’ve been able to figure out on my own. Pros The ease of use can’t be beat! I’ve been able to get 2 different websites up and running in a day. If you have most of your brand assets and guidelines ready, you can put up a site quickly and have something that functions even if you don’t have a tech background. Cons The eCommerce features are fine, but could use some updates and some fleshing out. But it’s still a great place to start. " December 6, 2024 5.0 I know how to setup a website in Wordpress, on a server, but I would again switch to Squarespace. I am happy not to be bothered with a number of other time consuming tasks that you need to take care in WP. It is very easy to start a website! Pros You can set-up a website literally in minutes! Cons I miss a better language support, Slovenian for example. Changing design of the website is not the easiest task to do. Not a deal breaker, though. The payroll feature is also simple and efficient. The only negative about it is that it requires some troubleshooting sometimes which can be frustrating during business hours. The grid formatting can be feel limiting in placing things on a webpage. However, I admit I am very ignorant about the nuances about how web design must work on a practical level, so I don't know if grid-based placement is necessary for website design or something. But the more you need to use it, the more boxed in you feel. If you are looking for design freedom, it's not the software to use. Pros It has great out of the box templates that look amazing. Everything feels polished without much effort. Cons Its really rigid. There is very little design freedom and if you dont use the exact design they give you, everything gets real complex. Squarespace makes building a website and maintaining it very convenient. Including handling hosting and and SEO for the website. And all of this can be done without coding experience. The websites too can be very responsive and good too for E-commerce websites. Pros I like that I can actually design a website without the need to do any coding.
