Totally changed my business. Now we track what items are selling best, peak times for employee scheduling and I don't have to go back to my deli to make sure the register has been closed for the evening. I get an email as soon as that is done!

Pros

Ease of use. Easy to train employees on, easy to make menu changes. Easy to keep track of sales and clock in/clock out for employees.

### "Slows down your ticket time"

It looks good. Not too difficult to set up

Cons

The credit card reader: it's an unusual way to insert your card. It's not like anyone elses. It looks cool, but you spend 15 seconds explaining to reach customer how to use it. The receipt and tip request for customers: if you don't send your ticket to the kitchen before selecting pay, you'll add 40-90 seconds to your ticket time. Customers are confused by the reader, then they have to answer 2 separate screen questions. If they don't, and wander off. The ticket won't send until you select the receipt option for them. This system is NOT good for quick service. Maybe a full restaurant, but not counter.

Pros

User friendly, 24/7 support, updates that make our business run smoothly. We also love the online ordering option, it was helped us increase business for customers who are on the go.

Cons

We really havent had any real big issues with the software as of yet. I do wish there were certain options like phone orders but other than that we love it.

### "Cake software review"

Pros

The software is very easy to use. The customer support is probably one of the best I have talked to. The Cake staff is very friendly and helpful. I would not think of using a different company for my POS needs.

Cons

Some of the previous software updates caused an issue with the POS having to be restarted frequently. I have talked to tech support about the issue and it has been since resolved.

I do have an issue with paying out vendors in cash where the system doesn't have categories to track that, which I am hoping they might resolve but has not been yet in spite of my efforts.

Pros

I really liked how fast they can get into the system within seconds to check or address simple issues.

While we don't offer the tracking feature you want yet, it will be eventually developed. In the meantime, your accounting software can be used to track payments externally.

CAKE has been a great asset to us to the fact that we can be "cashless".

Pros

I like this software because it's very user friendly & easy to maneuver. I caught on to it quickly with one training session.

Cons

I don't particularly care for the new upgrade, I found that it was harder to find the reports that I need. The "old version" had it more laid out for me.

Pros

Great control over sales value and Items sold reports. Easy to revise/change menu and prices. 3rd party software ShoGo uploads daily sales to Quickbooks Online daily.

Cons

Scheduling and time clock functions are weak. We can't use them. Should be able to clock in and out from a ipad/tablet separate from order pad/register.

Being new to the restaurant business, I researched many POS options and feel as though I couldn't have made a better choice. Thank you Cake!

Pros

Love the extensive reports, ease of use for employees of all ages, ability to search for an item, ability to remotely access the Menu Admin and all Admin aspects of the system. Customer support has been perfect every time we've needed a question answered.

Cons

Reports being limited to 100 days, but pretty sure that will soon change.

CAKE is happy Johnny's Taphouse and Grill is doing well with CAKE Point of Sale. We have recently enhanced the POS to show a warning if the employee has any open orders. The addition of the online ordering incorporated directly to our POS system is definitely a great tool for our industry. Very easy to set up and result in sales showed vast improvements and removing third party company another plus for this system.

Pros

Ease of use and aesthetics are well combined making this POS system a great option for anyone. Reliability is also a plus, have not yet experienced any down time.

Cons

Very few issues and nothing to stop us from enjoying this POS system

Great amount of flexibility, the best product we have seen or tried, we have looked at and had demos of others and this fit our operation the best.

Cons

some delay in correcting some issues attempts were made and some temporary fixes were made but we had to wait for the next update.

I like the remote access feature. The software is user friendly. I like how we can control what access the employees can have.

Cons

I don't like how owners have to clock in to use system to be able to use it. Also, I don't like how we can't close cash remotely. It has to be done at the physical location only.

Cake point of |Sale has been great for us. It is so much easier to program and run reports and it is all right there. I wish that Sysco items could be linked into the system so you can analyze menu items and price them out better within the system.

It is an overall help. Easy setup to time saving for the waitstaff and easy reading for the kitchen staff.

Pros

It has worked well for our small bar and restaurant. We love the order pad, it saves the waitstaff so much time and they can connect with more customers.

Cons

The set up to start was alot, menu building, modifiers, and learning everything. But cake university was a great help. Was well worth the time

In the four years that we have been using Cake I rarely have to call to correct an issue. I can usually can correct it my self by watching the FAQ or by calling support.

Pros

This is a very affordable POS system to buy or lease. Easy to use and the support is there 24/7.

Cons

Not able to close cash by remote but have been told it's coming soon as an update.

We were a start up needing a POS What I like about CAKE is we don't have to have or maintain a server here since it's all online and internet based. The reps we dealt with were really great at helping us get it all set up, and it's been wonderful customer service from day one. It's just been really great. I like the design and ease of use for it, and it's just so much easier to use than other systems I've used in the past

Cons

Sometimes I have difficulty finding information I need in the reports. I may have to go through several menu options to find what I'm looking for. This generally relates to sales categories.
