Pros: I've done social media marketing consulting for 3-4 years now and I will always suggest Buffer to my small business clients. The platform is so straightforward it would take the most non-technology savvy person to get lost on it. The free platform works flawlessly and lets you connect quite a few of your social accounts, and I have never had a problem with the mobile app - and come to think of it I'm pretty sure I only use the mobile app for scheduling when I create my own content. If you're not sure which social scheduler to use when you're just first starting out, please consider Buffer. Their team is on top of its game when creating content for its users and keeping their community up to date on the latest Instagram API changes and Facebook algorithms. This platform is the real deal.

Cons: This platform is great if you're the sole owner of your social platforms, but when you need to move to a bigger team I would consider upgrading to something more robust like Sprout Social. I really don't have many bad things to say about Buffer besides that its fairly simplistic, but honestly that simplicity is what attracts so many small business owners to the platform. If you have 3-4 social accounts and post fairly regularly on a weekly basis, Buffer is a great product for you.

Pros: 1. It's free if only use 3 social media platforms to schedule posts (can post 10 posts per social media platforms); if it's the paid version, I like it charges way cheaper than other similar apps even their functions are similar. 2. Everything on the buffer is clear and very easy to use, which really save a lot of time. 3. It let you the specific district (timezone) and suggest you select some good posting time for reaching out most visitors.

Cons: Sometimes, the notification function didn't work on time. The bug sometimes comes out that Buffer directly post tomorrow's post on today when you have a lot of posts in the queue. What's more, the report in the paid version didn't really reflect some useful or meaningful data.

Overall: Save time on scheduling all the posts for all different social media platforms; learn which time frame is good for posting in reaching more visitors; Its link-shorten option automatically helps figure out the words limit in Twitter to a degree.

Pros: If social media isn't exactly a priority in your marketing efforts, Buffer's $10/month Awesome plan is plenty. Aside from Buffer's great user interface, Awesome gets you access to their scheduling calendar view, which is a great way to granularly manage your posting schedule. You can also just throw posts into a queue and they'll automatically fire according to the weekly schedule you've set. Easily recommend.

Cons: I question the accuracy of the analytics. We had a Buffer for a Business plan for a few months, and when I compared the metrics Buffer provided to those of the actual social platforms, they usually didn't line up. It's possible that this has been addressed since I switched plans, however.

Pros: With Buffer, you'll be able to post and schedule social media content on different platforms and networks (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google +) in one click : the good point is that you save time, and that Buffer adapts the content of the published materials to the requirements and habits of each platform (it puts short links on Twitter...). Also you can schedule very easily posts on different platforms; also, there is a nice dashboard showing up metrics such as reach, likes, shares, and it proves very useful to monitor your community management.

Cons: One of the major drawbacks is that in the basic version you cannot post on Instagram on your computer, you have to use the smartphone app, which is not always convenient. Also, this app requires you to accept to share some of your data on Facebook by giving it access to your Facebook pages (by default, it corresponds to all your pages!) and I think that's a bit intrusive.

Pros: What I like most about Buffer is that it's easy to understand and it's free. Besides that, it can be used to schedule publications on other social networks such as Facebook and Linkedin and not just Twitter.

Cons: What I like least about Buffer is that the free version has a maximum of 10 publications, despite being a very useful tool, it is very limited when you want to demand more.

Pros: Buffer's ease of use is one of my favorite things. The way your scheduled posts are displayed and how easily modified they are, is a dream. Aside from functionality, one of my favorite things about Buffer is their company culture. They are totally transparent in how your subscription money is spent, and all of their contact with you is positive and encouraging. Buffer is really something special.

Cons: I've had continuous problems using Buffer to schedule LinkedIn Pulse articles to share on different social networks. For some reason it does not scrape the header image, so posts go out without an image. I think this has to do with LinkedIn, but the fact that Buffer does not always work flawlessly in this respect--is frustrating.

Overall: 30 minutes with Buffer saves me hours of work each week.

Pros: The platform is easy to navigate and create post to share across several platforms. The Chrome extension makes it easy to share images or articles and automatically shortens the URL, captures images or relevant quotes. The Instagram direct posting has been a great addition!

Pros: I write in my spare time, so Buffer is a great way to plan out social media posts ahead of time to share with my readership. Scheduling different posts throughout the week allows me to keep my social media presence active at all times, even if I'm working extra shifts at work or can't get to all of the accounts on one day.

Cons: No complaints about Buffer, everything works as advertised and expected. I'm a happy camper with this program!

Pros: Buffer makes it easy to schedule social media posts ahead of time. I'm able to plan out a week of posts ahead of time to keep my accounts up to date, even when I'm busy. The Pro plan allows for more posts to be scheduled on more accounts as well.

Cons: The Pro plan is a bit too expensive (in my opinion) I need just a little more than the free plan but not nearly the full scale of the Pro version. I've switched between the two plans depending on the posts I'll be making.

Overall: This software saves me a lot of time between managing Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Pros: Even with a free account, lining up posts for the week is super easy. All platforms covered (relevant ones anyway) They DO have Instagram integration for business accounts. Customer service is fast. They make it a point to talk to you like they are an old college friend. The longest I have ever waited for a response on Twitter for help was MAYBE 5 minutes.

Cons: Everything I have ever had a problem with they address right away. Can't think of any cons. For real.

Overall: I use this for personal accounts and for work accounts. Multiple. It brings all of my work and personal things to an easy to use, manageable, mobile platform. It's a huge time saver. Huge.

Pros: I started using buffer around 5 years ago and they had a great idea right from the start: how can I schedule social media tasks well in advance so I can set it and forget it?

This has been the core feature ever since: you create your posts, define your posting schedule and let the app do it's magic automatically. Most social media marketers I know care more about the quality of their posts than scheduling each post with an exact date and time and that's where buffer excels.

You can also add different social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter and now even Instagram. The latter is really something most social media apps can't do, so it's great to have.

Buffer is a great tool to "collect" posts from everywhere you go and just put it into your queue with the click of a button. For this they created a browser extension that you can just press when you're reading an article you like and it will be immediately added to your buffer.

Also buffer is the only app I know of that has integrations with lots of blogs and the like that allow you to just add to your buffer with a simple click. Watch out for the "Add to Buffer" button when you browse the web.

The free version allows you not just to thoroughly test the software, but also to use it for your small social media projects where you can schedule up to 10 posts at once.

Oh, and the support is amazing! I once asked for a refund because auto renewal was activated for a customer and they happily refunded it,

Cons: The pricing was way more compelling before with the Awesome plan.

Additional team members are a must when you're collaborating, but they start at 99$ a month which is too much in my opinion.

The buffer is missing some crucial collaboration features of other software that makes it hard to use for working as a team. The current approach is more like "everybody adds their posts and they'll be scheduled automatically" and less "everybody suggests posts and let's discuss them in the team". Thus it's not ideal for agencies that would like to discuss posts internally and send them to the client for approval.

Pros: It makes the hectic task of scheduling posts for multiple social media channels easy and straightforward. The re-buffer feature which lets you share old posts easily is another great feature.

Cons: Buffer should integrate many more tier 2 social media channels to improve the value of their product. At present, only the popular channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc. are supported.

Pros: This tool will be your solution. With it you can create a publication calendar and forget yourself.
It is a freemium tool with a very complete free version
One of the things I like most is the ability to add multiple profiles to schedule content. I also love being able to schedule out content well in advance.

Cons: The only complaint I have is that Buffer can not publish directly on Instagram for you, but nevertheless immediately notifies you, for the rest I love this software

Comments: My highlights with Buffer include the performance management tool allowing for real-time measurement and modifications if needed. And they work seamless with Mac OS OS X. Get the plugin and expand the power of this tool.

Pros: Incredible management tool for an unbeatable price. Social Media is the most important Digital space you need to be in and Buffer makes sure I am always in the game. Their scheduling tool is a breeze and does the job. What I like best is the optimization that occurs Live when scheduling the posts. Every experience I have had has been a joy.

Cons: Not a huge criticism but a few more features would keep them ahead. Headline optimizer and Social Ad generator would be great additons. But this is a simple system with great functionality.

Pros: I like that the software is simple and straightforward. It was really easy to learn how the programming worked so I was able to plan out our social media campaigns months in advance. Advanced planning and scheduling features were easy to learn and it relieves my stress of consistently posting on social media.

Cons: Sometimes I'll receive error notifications for no reason and it's difficult to get any customer support. It's one of those situations where you get what you pay for. Although they are relatively cheap and they get the job done, they do lack more advanced features that their competition offer.

Pros: I love how Buffer automatically shortens URLs as well as the ability to customize a post for a particular social media application without having to create separate posts for each.

Cons: I find the interface to be a bit cluttered and not necessarily easy to navigate. You cannot easily glance through and find scheduled posts. I would like to see separate sections for items that have been posted and those that are scheduled to post.

Overall: I love the ability to schedule as many posts as I want as far out as I want for different social media networks.

Pros: Very easy to use. The Buffer's UI is so easy and self explanatory, you don't even nee their customer support. With the scheduling, it keeps you in line with the scheduling. On Buffer, you can schedule all of your social media scheduling.

Cons: It is mostly for posting. With that being said, it doesnt' really help you much to see what is going on on your social media pages. However, that was not the purpose of the software. That'd be nice to have but it is not a huge deal.

Pros: I have used Buffer for two different businesses and might start using it for myself personally soon. It's a very intuitive, user-friendly way to schedule social media posts, and even the free version of Buffer is a useful tool. Compared to Hootsuite I find Buffer to be easier to use, and easier to learn to use, as well as far more pleasant to look at. Buffer easily allows you to schedule social media posts for various media channels, and having the browser add on makes this even easier.

Cons: I've been sad to hear about the features that Buffer is removing from their free plan (previously called the Individual plan) in March of 2018. The Re-buffer option (which allowed you to easily reschedule high-performing posts that you previously posted) will no longer be available on the free plan. They've also changed their link shortening options, no longer offering bitly link shortening. This isn't a huge deal, and if you're planning to pay for Buffer anyway then it's fine. Buffer is really most useful if you pay for it anyway, since the free plan only allows you to schedule 10 posts in advance per social account. I have used both the free and paid version of Buffer, and probably will use both in the future, though I also plan to revisit Hootsuite and consider switching back.

Comments: Customer Service support teams are awesome. Only once in the year, we have used them has one failed to answer within 2 hours. In some cases, the interaction is initiated by the company to assist you in using their product more effectively.

Pros: Free or Premium the features are yours to explore. The information that is not available is stored if/when you switch to premium you can reach back and grab it.

Cons: Integration to Instagram is NOT seamless vs all the platforms. This may be an Instagram problem vs a Buffer problem, either way, it is annoying.

Pros: Buffer is a social media manager that allows us to upload numerous social posts at one time and schedule each one across our various social media platforms. This feature allows us to schedule a block of time for social media, then focus on our work.

Cons: Unfortunately, Buffer removed the "best time to post" feature. It would be great to find this data in the same application used for making social media posts.

Pros: Buffer makes it pretty easy to schedule posts across social accounts on all the major platforms - I like the various scheduling options - for example, setting up time slots and dropping new content into the next available slot automatically. I also appreciate the browser plug-in so I can quickly compose a message about content for each of the social accounts I have connected.

Cons: I wish there were a bit more customization available on all plans - adding unique tracking information to shared links can be a pain. I also have run into issues with video thumbnails not showing up.

Pros: Our biggest need is something to save time posting all social media accounts at once. This plus simple analytics in one place saves time and makes it easier to post content consistently. Buffer does these things at a very reasonable yearly cost. We specifically knew that we didn't need solutions that have tons of features and costly, so we are glad that Buffer fits the features and pricing for our needs.

Cons: The price for the base plan of Buffer is great and part of why we like it. I wish they allowed a few more social media accounts than the 12 maximum in that plan. The next tier up for 25 accounts is 10x the price of the base plan. That said, this isn't a huge deal and for us, part of the reason we chose Buffer was that we wanted something simple that didn't cost hundreds of dollars a month.

Overall: Buffer lets us focus on our content instead of spending time visiting each social media platform to share it.

Pros: Buffer is a wonderful tool for scheduling, and spacing out, social media updates. It seems to work EVERYWHERE and 99% of what I share to the social networks is done via Buffer. It is easy to use and their support is outstanding!

Cons: About the only thing that I do not like about Buffer is that sometimes, for some reason, a post that you have created will fail to send. Now, if your social network connection needs to be refreshed, they will notify you of that. I have never been notified on a failed send and only see those when I go to the actual Buffer dashboard which is infrequently.

I'm super glad to have come across Buffer! Not only is the company thoughtful, helpful, and well-designed, but their platform works perfectly every time.

Cons: The only complaint I have is that Buffer cannot post directly to Instagram for you, but instead gives you "post notifications and reminders". This, however, doesn't bother me much as it is standard for social media planning apps. It does post to all other platforms for you.

Pros: It's a simple and easy to use social media scheduling tool that does exactly what it says on the tin. You can integrate with your favourite link shortening tool, or use their one and track the success of your posts. You can also 'ReBuffer' the top performing posts and easily fill up your 'hopper'.

Cons: It's very simple, so it's easy to use because there's little to it. The additional features are mostly only available for the 'business class' package, which is per month - far too much for what you get. The reporting side of things isn't very clear and is somewhat limited, especially for the business version. If you're looking to simply schedule posts then this is a good option but, if you're looking for something more then I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Pros: The best part about Buffer is that you can keep streams of social content ready for posting whenever you need to. It helps you train yourself to keep a consistent social schedule. Another great thing about Buffer is that Instagram content you post from Buffer can contain line breaks without putting "." on different lines in your content.

Cons: There aren't a lot of cons to Buffer - I would say one of the only negatives is their email marketing efforts to try to re-engage users, which I don't particularly enjoy. However, that has nothing to do with the experience of using the product.

Pros: I must be missing the boat on Buffer. I used to try and get stuff for my company's website done manually and then we decided to add buffer. I like being able to schedule enough social posts in the future for the next week and set the timing to hit during peak periods. Quotes and text are done really easily.

Cons: I actually make more errors using buffer due to the link image not displaying properly, images not posting in the right sizes, or sometimes there's just a random error and my post doesn't go live. I'm not sure why the images and videos don't seem to get the same amount of engagement if they're uploaded into buffer first. I'm sure it's something to do with the way they're put into the different social networks.

Pros: Love the ability to schedule and manage posts for multiple from within one platform. A great time saver if you have a lot of accounts to manage.

Cons: The pricing is is not flexible. You pay a lot more for very little extra. It's not very scalable if you want to really do a ton.

Pros: Buffer is very easy to use. Adjusting your posting schedule is simple and intuitive. After that, it's as simple as using any social media platform.

Buffer is great for spacing out non-time-sensitive content. You can put the polish on your posts sitting at your desk, and then drop it in the queue for later. Buffer keeps doling out your posts one at a time following your predetermined schedule. It lets you get content to your followers when you know it will matter most without having to interrupt your own schedule to do so.

Cons: You can't choose a specific day or time for posts to be sent. When you add them to the queue, it just takes the next one on the pile when it's time to send something. That's typically not a problem, but occasionally, I've got something that I want to make sure hits first thing on a Friday. I've either got to shuffle my queue to get it to line up right or more likely, I've got to use another tool to schedule that post for a specific time.

Overall: Buffer helps maintain the illusion of being bigger than you are by allowing you to always be there for your audience without having to always be there.

Pros: buffer has been a very useful tool for the marketing department in the company, you can organize the templates of the week and schedule them to be published at a specific time.

Cons: Buffer has a very low storage capacity for scheduled content, it would be beneficial to have more storage space.

Overall: Buffer is the future!

Pros: Buffer is a tool that allows me to program the publication in the social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, maintain an order in the content of the same and obtain a preview. It is an easy tool to use.

Cons: Buffer has a very low limit of total daily publications, I would like to be able to schedule the publications of all my social networks for a full month.

Pros: Buffer takes so much effort out of frequent social media posting. It allows with a click and a few words of caption to post to one site or many, one page or many, on a pre-set or "next up" schedule so that you never have to stop what you're doing to share a web site to your profiles. It takes care of the post times, the queue, the placement, even the analyitics of how your posts perform across all of your social sites.

Their blog alone is worth subscribing to - jammed with useful and entertaining tips for maximizing your results, and the free version can be very helpful for startup pages or social enthusiasts. But when you're serious about posting for your business, the paid plans make the transition to "professional social media marketer" very seamless.

Cons: Recently, Facebook and Buffer aren't as tightly integrated as they used to be. That's a change with FB, and Buffer is very up front about why things are different. It's a small step backward, and not the developer's fault at all. It's still the very best value in managed social media posting, and a sanity saver for anyone who posts to multiple sites/profiles/pages on a regular basis.

Overall: I'm not a social media professional, and have no interest in spending time each day on multiple pages of multiple sites to share information for business marketing. Buffer let's me do exactly that work with a few clicks, and schedule posts out for days at a time.

Pros: Easy to use, re-buffering old publication. Selecting multiple platforms for the same publication. Drag and drop publications. Automatic programming with suggested dates and times from the app. Using several accounts at the same time.

Cons: Sometimes videos from links appear like just links and no previews (especially on twitter) and you only notice it already published.

Overall: Time-saving. Optimization of tasks. Great for supervisors to edit and aprove content.

Pros: Buffer is a blast to use, and it makes social posting easier without a doubt. When you add in the app and Chrome extension, you come away with the best way to efficiently update your social channels (in my opinion). I really enjoy the post reminders for Instagram too! Something that was not available in previous years on other platforms that I tried. Buffer can provide value for free users, but it is definitely well-worth the monthly subscription.

Cons: If I had to pick something, it would be that posts to Instagram cannot be published through the software. However, I realize this isn't necessarily something that is possible right now. Perhaps it will be in the future!

Overall: Efficient social posts, plus additional performance data. What more could you ask for?

Comments: It is a wonderful software with a pricetag that won't break your budget. I recommend this for anyone who just needs a quick way to schedule posts.

Pros: Very easy to use. The UI is easy to navigate and use without needing to learn complex systems. It is dependable and makes social media scheduling a breeze.

Cons: There is limited functionality. While you can save RSS feeds in order to easily access them, you cannot do so with social media sources. Also it is more time consuming to create different copy or versions for different platforms for the same post.

Pros: It's super easy to schedule the same post on multiple accounts across multiple platforms. I've used other ones, but keep on returning to this one.

Cons: I wish it would schedule Instagram better, so that I can set it and forget it. I realize it's Instagram's API that doesn't allow for this, but still, I wish there'd be a way to do it.

Pros: Buffer was the first Social Media management tool I used, and I continue to use the free version even though I have begun to use another paid solution. It's easy to use, easy to set up, and very easy to update, particularly while surfing the web.

Cons: Ultimately I moved on to another product (Edgar, but then to Social Pilot) because Buffer was too basic for my needs. I needed a solution that allowed for easy recycling of evergreen content. For this, Edgar is the best (but very expensive), Social Pilot is almost as effective as Edgar but for a fraction of the cost.

Pros: Buffer invented the concept of a social "queue" and Chrome extension they've become the clear leader in the social publishing space.
They are also a great resource and thought leader on the strategy side of things.

Cons: I mainly use their calendar view, which still has some major bugs and will mess up every so often and they haven't been addressed still since it launched.
I wish they were better able to aggregate the social accounts for analytics I know they're working on a new analytics platform currently, though.

Pros: Instead of a set posting schedule, you can save your social media messages or links to Buffer and they will send them out throughout the day. This is great if you're curating a lot of content for clients or your business. The analytics are great, so you can get really detailed reports of how your social messages are performing. You can also create images right inside the platform which can make your social message more interesting and engaging.

Cons: This tool is definitely a little more pricey than others. If you have a large team, you have to pay a little bit more.

Overall: One of the best tools for curating and posting social messages.
