### "How can you be everywhere all at once in social media circles?"

March 21, 2026

4.0

My business is using an "everywhere, all at once" strategy to post across all social media channels and connected accounts in an effort to be where our customers want/need us when they are ready. Buffer makes it easy to schedule out a month of posts on the major socials, and the AI tool can repurpose specifically for individual channels, as opposed to just cross posting. (a different tactic). Super easy to set up and deploy, if you have a social media strategy, this simple scheduler needs to be a part of it.

Pros

Easy to use and great value for content creation, especially when deploying an "everywhere, all at once" strategy. This tool is optimized to help you expand social presence and reach fast.

Cons

The AI generation tool has a learning curve about the business, and what posts actually work. I wish it was connected to a larger, genre specific eco-sphere for training data, pulling the exact post and intel that's trending in my industry and repurposing all content to fit that trend.

### "Buffer Is My Preferred Social Media Management Tool"

April 30, 2026

5.0

Good experience. Buffer is my preferred social media scheduler. Whenever I get another client and they want me to recommend a scheduler I always say Buffer.

Pros

I schedule posts for my clients and podcast with ease. I can schedule to every social media platform. You can reply to followers within the app.

Cons

The problems with posts going through have been happening every week. I do like that you can have 3 platforms for free but each additional platform is 5 dollars and that can add up if you're managing many accounts.

Switched from

[Hootsuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/121701/HootSuite/)

Hootsuite is also expensive but frequently it would disconnect the social media platforms for my clients. I was also having to reconnect them. I have experienced that with Buffer.

### "Buffer for Google my Business Page"

April 23, 2025

3.0

Overall, Buffer is an OK tool. We use it mainly for scheduling Google My Business page posts.

Pros

Buffer is a good scheduling tool for Google My Business posts and shares them across Google My Business pages, as well as other social media sites like Facebook.

Cons

Compared to other social media post scheduling and management sites, the only reason we use Buffer is to schedule Google My Business page posts. It just doesn't have as many features as say the Meta Business Suite.

### "Decent free social media tool"

Pros

Solid free option to connect 3 social platforms. Schedule content ahead of time to post across social networks.

Cons

### "Great Scheduler "

July 28, 2025

5.0

I found it more effective for planning posts, easier and cheaper than Hootsuite and Meta Scheduler, more features than Canva.

Pros

I appreciate the price of the paid version and the free plan that already gives 3 channels for free. It turned out easier to use.

Cons

It was easier than others but still not a LEGO brick, the saving features were not easy at all to do or to understand.

### "X thread scheduler! "

November 9, 2024

5.0

I use Buffer for one of my clients because I often have to schedule X threads. This is not something you can do via the Twitter app since it doesn't support scheduling a whole series of threads. Buffer handles this task well as well as supports all my other platforms for that client, making it the perfect place for content management. They also receive 50% off pricing since they are a nonprofit!

Pros

\- Link shortening - Content calendar - Twitter/X threads scheduling - 50% off nonprofit pricing

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about Buffer! I think it's a fabulous social media management tool!

### "More reliable than Meta Content Scheduler"

January 27, 2025

Buffer has been a great tool for scheduling content. Publishes seamlessly - less issues than with using Meta scheduler!

Pros

Love that you can manage 3 channels for free - this has been a great cost effective resource for clients who want a platform outside of Meta Business for content planning / scheduling!

Cons

Buffer has limited LinkedIn Personal analytics! However, you can connect a personal LinkedIn account if you are managing personal accounts.

### "Boosted social media planning and management."

September 8, 2025

5.0

Scheduling content on client accounts was simpler, workflows of teams were improved with approval stages, and posting at fixed intervals helped clients' social media coverage without manual daily checks.

Pros

Clean interface makes it simple to post across platforms for multiple clients, while collaboration features allow content review workflows, and bulk scheduling saves a lot of time during campaign planning phases.

Cons

Advanced analytics features are only included in higher-end plans, and some posting lag or missing posts occasionally impact client campaigns.

### "Buffer Review"

July 1, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with buffer was really great. I ended up moving to another post scheduler due to the necessity of multiple post queues, but really miss the overall ease of use with buffer.

Pros

Buffer has a very easy to use interface, and auto-scheduling and reorganizing scheduled posts is extremely easy. The workflow feels intuitive and I never had to pull out the FAQ to figure out how to do what I wanted.

Cons

The lack of ability to have multiple post scheduling queues for a single social media account. One queue works fine if you only post a single type of content, but having to manually schedule or re-organize the schedule if you have multiple post types (images, video, text, etc) gets really tedious.

### "Reliable and powerful "

Been using it for years and never looked around for alternatives. I think this sums up my experience pretty well, although my needs are pretty basic

Pros

Buffer has been easy to set up and to learn to operate, it covered all my basic needs for years and never had me looking around for alternatives. It’s always been reliable (which is the most important thing in my opinion) and never felt overwhelming or confusing despite having a real lot of capabilities

Cons

### "Saving Time with Buffer"

March 2, 2023

4.0

My whole experience in general was great. It allowed me saving many hours of work. I was responsible for managing the social media of an educational program, and sometimes posts had to be post at a specific time, when I was busy. This tool allowed me to manage all efficiently, scheduling all at the beginning of the week and letting Buffer do the job. The only thing I had to do was to look the analytic and make some minor adjustments.

Pros

Buffer is easy to use, many social media such as Facebook and Instagram can be integrated with it, and it really makes life easier. You could once a month schedule all the posts and leave Buffer do the job. And working with the metrics, it's possible to analyse when is the best moment to post to reach more users. It also has a web version to work in computer, but it also has an app (android and ios) where you can access to all the data and schedule new posts.

Cons

Some of its cons are that it has some limitations with some type of content, for instance It doesn't work quite well with reels and sometimes videos too; it sometimes fails with the automatization of this type of content. Anyway, Buffer is continuously adding new features and this will be probably be solved because these apps must adapt to nowadays social media. Another drawback is the basic and premium version: It's possible to work with the free one, but you'll be really limited to just automatically posting and some other basic functionalities. On the other hand, the premium version is not too expensive if you really need it, and you get a wonderful tool to use.

### "Buffer-Social Media Management and Automation"

December 30, 2018

4.0

The best thing about Buffer is the number of accounts and posts that can be added. Next up the ability to see the overall potential of posts in the analytics gives a good insight as to who your fans are, who they're fans are and what they like sharing. Overall, Buffer is a must have for Social Media users who can't spend every waking hour posting.

Pros

I have been using Buffer for around two years and still think it is a must-have for any social media users who are needing to automate their posts. Top pros for this software are: Relatively low cost. Run multiple profiles. Ability to schedule damn near unlimited posts. Scheduling options and queue are presented well and easy to use. The way the analytics are presented. The content feed is also a brilliant feature, although it can also do with some significant improvements. This is by far one of the best low cost/free software's for Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn posting.

Cons

As above, the content feed needs some improvement, as it does not always pull the most recent links. Addition of a filter for the content feed would be an A\* feature. Sometimes hashtag lists do not display correctly and errors can be shown when tagging someone's profile. Need to be able to create a permanent, possibly arranged list of regularly used hashtags. Instagram posts need to be monitored as direct posting is not available, instead, you are notified to 'ok' the post first. This wouldn't be a problem IF the notifications actually were pushed on time, plus it does kind of defeat the purpose of the automation.

### "One of a kind of multi account social media management tool for startups"

April 6, 2022

5.0

Entirely, buffer is best tool to manage multiple client's social media account at one place and taking note of all post metrics without going top each of the social media platforms. Price should be lesser or they should have optional feature section based on price.

Pros

I liked their integration process, they made it easy to link your account at once to multiple social media account. They always update their software integration. Even with post scheduler, I can be able to plan ahead and schedule all posts. They do not have Instagram story scheduling, but they have reminder. All these things are easy for a new person entering into this field.

Cons

I have not liked the way they mask our links on social media post's caption. It completely ruins our reputation over our client base. They should provide at least a shortening option like Bitly or goo.gle. Many of the times scheduled posts misses its time and get scheduled on other time. This also makes things worse if you're promoting a campaign.

### "A really good Start into Content Management and Distribution"

September 14, 2022

4.0

Pros

Buffer's Service is very cohesive and even in the free Plan the Possibilities are wide. Even if you use the free plan only, you most likely don't need any other service to distribute your content from one source to f.ex. your Social Media Profiles. Set-up is extremely easy and the Dashboard is very minimalistic and easy to understand/navigate.

Cons

If you are planning to schedule for weeks in advance, you are depending on a paid plan, since free Accounts can schedule maximum 10 posts at a time.

### "Buffer is a Lifesaver and a Timesaver"

February 17, 2023

5.0

The business problem that I was able to solve with Buffer was time-management.

Pros

The feature that I like most about Buffer is it's ability to schedule social media posts. As an indie author, my time is best spent writing. I don't really care for social media, but I understand that is an important part of marketing. Buffer grants me the one-stop mentality of scheduling my posts ahead of time, while still being able to focus on my craft.

Cons

Initially, the one thing I liked least about Buffer was the minimum amount of queue posts allowed for the free account, but with the lowered price for the Essentials tier convinced me to give it a shot.

### "It is a basic but essential tool for social network programming"

October 18, 2023

5.0

We utilize Buffer to coordinate our company's presence across numerous social media platforms. We can upload all of our content by using it to schedule the publication calendar. Content is reviewed and approved by the user's permission level. Using Buffer, we can see at a glance whether or not we have scheduled too much or too little material across all of our social media channels. I have used Buffer for about three years, and it has helped me a lot in my work; also, its cost could be a lot higher, and being a very intuitive tool, it represents a good investment. It is very suitable for anyone, whether a professional or a beginner; it works very well for small, medium, or large companies; it is ideal for people who want to edit an image for a publication on social networks.

Pros

It's a fantastic platform for social media management with many helpful features (including adding text to images before posting them on social media) and helpful customer service (including the possibility to schedule posts in advance across multiple channels). It has a straightforward design that makes it easy to get up and running. And let's remember its review system, enabling us to check articles for coherence well before publication.

Cons

Fixing the problems you have when you try to contact users and when users try to respond would be a big step in the right direction.

### "Control the content of your social sites "

May 17, 2023

5.0

Buffer is a very useful tool for companies in the management of their social network profiles, since it allows greater efficiency and effectiveness in the publication and analysis of content on several platforms at the same time

Pros

I like this tool because it allows you to schedule and post content to multiple platforms at the same time on your same site. Its main features include scheduling and publishing social media posts, tracking social media analytics, and managing multiple social media accounts from a single interface. In addition, this tool allows companies to establish a consistent publishing schedule and schedule publications on a regular basis, which helps to maintain an active and constant presence on social networks

Cons

I have not experienced bad operations with this system, but I could consider that the most accessible versions are more limited

### "A gigantic solution to govern networks"

March 18, 2023

4.0

In my general review I can mention that it is a great choice for those looking to optimize their social media management. Its easy-to-use interface and its attachment to popular social media platforms have made it a major asset for many organizations.

Pros

What fascinates me the most about this tool is that Buffer is easy to use for developing and disseminating on social networks. It has saved us a lot of time compared to directly proclaiming on each social media platform.

Cons

Since we have been using this instrument, we have not found a single failure. Rather, I can mention that this product is one of the best out there because Buffer helps us develop our own ads and promotions on social networks, it helps us to being ahead of our time in our own social media marketing efforts.

### "Excellent for communicating, saving time, and the greatest tool for managing your social networks"

December 18, 2022

4.0

Pros

How simple it is to utilize Buffer to schedule your articles on various platforms is what I appreciate best about it and what I think is most beneficial. The user interface of Buffer is well-organized and gives us the resources we need to submit our content promptly and regularly. The setting is straightforward, and they often make updates and enhancements to maximize its functionality. In just a few simple steps, I can link my social media accounts, and with a single click, I can plan posts across all of my tracks. From here, I can also begin to design my page. The premium edition offers crucial data and is excellent for managing numerous accounts. I appreciate how you can add special tags to each platform to make it your own.

Cons

Companies don't have enough resources for individual initiatives, therefore we need to address these difficulties right away with careful consideration at every step. For email, ad spending tracking, SEO management, etc., nothing was offered. If it had been a comprehensive tool, my team might have been able to maintain a buffer. The only significant issue that hinders my work is a bug that appears when you attempt to load numerous photographs at once. If I can't quickly locate the solution to my query in their help center, I would appreciate a fast tiny chat box that can send me on the proper path.

### "Still one of the best social media schedulers"

October 9, 2018

4.0

Pros

Quick to schedule social media posts to multiple accounts in a few clicks. Extremely versatile and easy to use. I have used many social media scheduling tools over the years but keep coming back to Buffer. I actually used the free version for many years but as a business grows and your social media presence grows it is better to pay for a solution that allows you to manage them all under one roof. When it comes to scheduling posts, the interface is clean and simple and easy to use. There is link shortening too if required. The limit for queued posts is 100 per social media account which is easily enough for at least a month's worth of posts so should be sufficient for most users. Automatic Instagram posting is a relatively new and welcome addition to Buffer. Support are pretty responsive when required but I haven't needed much from them in all honesty. All in all I really like Buffer. It is considerably cheaper than many of its competitors and does what it does really well and if someone is looking to buy into a paid social media scheduling tool I would recommend they start here.

Cons

RSS feed can be a bit clunky. Is 8 accounts generous enough? You are "limited" to 8 social media accounts on the Pro plan which sounds a lot but can be filled up quickly. They reduced this in March 2018 from 10 to 8 which was disappointing. Another disappointment is the lack of a native way to enable bulk scheduling by uploading a csv file. This is available in other schedulers (although they are considerably more expensive than Buffer). Fortunately there is a solution in the form of a 3rd party application called "bulk buffer" (just do a Google search for it).

Review Source

Response from Buffer

Hi, Jason, thank you for the kind review and honest feedback about our tool. If you are up for sharing, I would love to hear more about the RSS feed. I also hear you regarding the account limits and bulk scheduling. We have heard similar feedback about the account limits and have been thinking about how we could improve that. Thanks again for the feedback.

### "Manage your social networks with an easy-to-use tool"

March 25, 2023

4.0

I used Buffer to manage my Facebook page and Linkedin, for my real estate product posts. I would have appreciated it even more if it offered a larger number of social networks to connect. But overall, the management of the connected profiles was quite simple and efficient. Moreover, the statistical data are easy to understand, which helped me to better manage my publications. A tool that I invite everyone to test

Pros

I liked Buffer. It's a pretty user-friendly tool and easy to use. It's quite easy to connect your social networks to it for managing pages and profiles. It has a pretty simple and easy-to-understand user interface, which makes it easy to learn. It takes into account popular social networks, which is already a good thing. Posts and post schedules are also quite easy to do with Buffer. The real strength of Buffer lies in the statistical data. We get detailed and comprehensive data on the reach of our publications. It is good to note that Buffer allows team collaboration, very useful to have your profiles and pages managed by an agency. Buffer is a nice tool to use

Cons

\- Not support all social networks- Not take into account personal Facebook profiles- Limitation on the number of posts that can be scheduled in advance for some social networks
