### "Buffer is when simple also means powerful"

Pros

From the very beginning, Buffer has been an extremely user-friendly, clean and powerful tool. The best thing about it is the evolving nature of it - there are always new features coming down their pipeline and many of the things I once wished for became product features already. Power Scheduler that you get through Chrome plugin is an extra bonus point - no need to log into the web interface of the tool - just click a button from within the page you're currently viewing and a little pop-up lets you schedule sharing of this link within your schedule or for custom recurring times in the future.

Cons

It used to give you more on a free plan. Now you really would want to get the Awesome plan. You can't schedule posts directly into Instagram (limitation of Instagram itself), Buffer will ping you with a push notification and will make the posting just a one-tap action but it's just not a fully autonomous process

I love how easy it is to setup your posts and just launch them with very little hassle.

Cons

The 10 post cap on the free plan. Also, when posting to multiple accounts, it can get a bit confusing if you're not watching what you're doing.

### "Excellent social media collaborative posting tool"

Pros

Buffer pulls social media outlets into one location, making posts super efficient to publish and schedule. I've found the tool to work really well for scheduling routine updates to our community. Buffer loads quickly and is very user-friendly. Setting up accounts was quick and easy.

Cons

I only disadvantage that I have noticed is that Buffer will sometimes cut off social media posts if they are too long for Twitter.

Buffer is a hugely valuable tool for saving time when creating and scheduling social media posts. You can post at your peak engagement times, without having to worry about logging on and creating posts at that set time, Buffer takes the hard work out of it for you.

Pros

Buffer makes it so easy to schedule loads of social media content across the various platforms which saves me so much time in the long run. I can just set an hour or so aside and schedule posts for the next few weeks so I don't have to worry about taking time out each day to do this. You can set up scheduled times that suit you, such as times that you get the most engagement on your posts and Buffer will then set this up as a weekly recurring theme so that you can just drop your content in.

Cons

Like with other social media scheduling platforms, Instagram intergration could be better. I'll often end up scheduling posts manually for Instagram because of the limitations within Buffer. Also, you can't tag other accounts in photos for Twitter, which is often such an invaluable tool that I use to drive engagement. Again, I'll sometimes post manually on Twitter so that I can tag accounts. Finally, you can post multiple images on posts, which is especially a drawback for Instagram. Hopefully, these issues will eventually be rectified.

It was a huge lift on time to be posting content and pulling analytics across all of our channels. This eliminated that, plus allowed us to post weeks in advance which was also a huge time saver.

Pros

I have used quite a few social media management tools and this has by far been my favorite. It has most easily digestible analytics which makes reporting to upper management a breeze. It integrated will across all of our social channels and posting the same content in multiple places is super easy.

Cons

The only thing I would love is if buffer could automatically resize images for the channel so we didnt need to upload multiple versions.

A major benefit is how simple it is to set up and how many team members can use the account. The scheduling procedure is really simple and clear.A convenient feature for quickly assessing the reach of several postings is the built-in analytics. They keep up with evolving APIs, and the new Campaign feature appears to be promising.The app and desktop website work well together, are simple to use, have excellent customer support, and are a terrific free alternative.

demerit is Any social media scheduling service, including Buffer, might be difficult to use with Instagram.Occasionally, problems happen when scheduling a post, leaving it unpublished and requiring me to redo the job. What a horrible situation.There have also been connectivity problems with social accounts.

I've been using Buffer for years, and it has completely changed the way I manage my social media accounts. My life was spared by the platform's scheduling feature, and using it is generally simple. I have more time in the day to do other things because I can pre-schedule my social media postings.

Pros

If social media isn't exactly a priority in your marketing efforts, Buffer's $10/month Awesome plan is plenty. Aside from Buffer's great user interface, Awesome gets you access to their scheduling calendar view, which is a great way to granularly manage your posting schedule. You can also just throw posts into a queue and they'll automatically fire according to the weekly schedule you've set. Easily recommend.

Cons

I question the accuracy of the analytics. We had a Buffer for a Business plan for a few months, and when I compared the metrics Buffer provided to those of the actual social platforms, they usually didn't line up. It's possible that this has been addressed since I switched plans, however.

Buffer has grown with my career – and making it easier along the way.For every social media training I give my colleagues or the industry, Buffer is always mentioned with a smile. I always say that becoming a social media content creator or curator takes time, but with buffer, it expedites the human behavior curve, allowing for a seamless addition to any professional’s tech stack.

Cons

Just recently, I have fallen in love with Buffer’s Content spot, dropping ideas in when I do not have the time to properly create my message. I post on topics around personal branding, networking, professional development, social media, and even coffee. I see myself as one of Buffer’s secret stalkers – always keeping an eye on the updates and whispering the amazing, time-saving features.

I've tried other social media auto posting tools, but I find the 'freemium' version of Buffer to meet all my basic needs. Buffer extension integrates well with Chrome, my preferred browser, and enables quick and effective scheduling of social posts. The built-in analytics are a standard feature that enable insights into post performance across your social accounts. Another useful companion app from the same developer is the 'Pablo' that enables to quick and easy creation of custom image tiles for social media use. Recommended if you are graphically-challenged, like me.

Cons

Periodically, Buffer will report (via email alerts) that it's unable to post to a social site. Typically, this is due to changes on the social sites, but Buffer will fix any compatibility issues promptly. Support for the free version is adequate for my needs, but other users may prefer the 'paid' version if they require more help and/or guidance.

### "Our go to scheduling tool for social media"

Buffer lets us focus on our content instead of spending time visiting each social media platform to share it.

Pros

Our biggest need is something to save time posting all social media accounts at once. This plus simple analytics in one place saves time and makes it easier to post content consistently. Buffer does these things at a very reasonable yearly cost. We specifically knew that we didn't need solutions that have tons of features and costly, so we are glad that Buffer fits the features and pricing for our needs.

Cons

The price for the base plan of Buffer is great and part of why we like it. I wish they allowed a few more social media accounts than the 12 maximum in that plan. The next tier up for 25 accounts is 10x the price of the base plan. That said, this isn't a huge deal and for us, part of the reason we chose Buffer was that we wanted something simple that didn't cost hundreds of dollars a month.

The platform is easy to navigate and create post to share across several platforms. The Chrome extension makes it easy to share images or articles and automatically shortens the URL, captures images or relevant quotes. The Instagram direct posting has been a great addition!

Cons

I would like see some community management features similar to other social scheduling platforms. This would make engagement easier through a single platform. Otherwise, it offers everything I need for a scheduling tool.

Pros

Buffer's browser integration is the best part of the software, allowing me to visit webpages, right-click and then queue up posts on my various social media for the future, and then go back to my other projects.

Cons

There are lots of little tweaks that you have to learn to make it perform exactly right. It tries hard to find associated pictures to go along with stories, but sometimes that doesn't work, and you need to download images and then load them up.

Generally speaking, Buffer is a great tool but there are too many insidious ways for things to go wrong on the platform. If you have a hand full of clients Buffer could be a good fit, but if you are a digital agency I would not reccomend Buffer.

Pros

My team uses Buffer to manage social accounts for over 100 clients. The biggest advantage of Buffer is the extension you can download for your browser, making it very easy to schedule content for clients as you are browsing the web.

Cons

As mentioned before, we manage social accounts for over 100 clients. The way Buffer is set up makes it extremely easy to schedule posts on incorrect client pages. It's also difficult to see which accounts are selected, and when a new social account is connected, Buffer automatically selects the page for ALL social posts that are scheduled. Additionally, any time a new administrator is assigned to the account all of the connections to the social media pages crash and have to be replaced one by one.

Buffer is a good tool for small companies or freelancers, but is too clumsy for having a real scalability path, and is not suitable for enterprise or mid-market companies.

Pros

Buffer has quite a short learning curve and is easy to learn and use even for non-techie people.

Cons

Sometimes a bit clumsy, especially when it comes to scheduling posting - it's quite impossible for example to tag people correctly on LinkedIn, and you often have to let your posts as a draft and go to the platform.

If you are a Digital Marketer or an online page manager who dont want to waste time on posting at multiple places, Buffer is the solution you need. Now even you can schedule posts on Instagram via Buffer, what can be better than this.

User Interface is super awesome. Post Scheduling and the Delivery rate is extremely good. You can even schedule Instagram posts now.

Cons

Reach on Facebook, LinkedIn or Instagram is quite low when you post via 3rd party apps like buffer. More multimedia option should be provided. Like for eg: posting a gif is quite hard.

### "Buffer saves you loads of time"

Pros

I like that Buffer is easy to use. I used a few social media scheduling tools in the past, but none of them really had a decent user interface. As soon as I tested out Buffer, I knew I wanted it for my business. I paid for a year upfront and have been using the software for 2 years. I like that it recommends the best posting times, and scheduling content into the platform is very easy. I can set up a whole month of content in an hour. I've trained my virtual assistant to use the software, and even she enjoys using it (she doesn't usually pick up on how to use tech tools as quickly as she did with Buffer). So it's also very good for those who may not be confident with using social media tech.

Cons

I'm sad that they don't have an affiliate programme. I also heard a rumour that product development isn't happening much anymore. But I don't know how true that is.
