### "Great for non-profits"

November 20, 2018

5.0

Pros

I use buffer as a social media manager solely to post on Twitter. This software makes the process extremely easy, and I love having the ability to set consistent times to post for each day of the week.

Cons

Being able to delete timeslots would help tremendously! There have been days where I've scheduled something close to another timeslot (or moved a tweet from a different day) and it would be nice not to have to see it anymore, but that's being very picky. This is a great software.

Hi, Alex, thanks for the review! I'm sorry that we haven't made it clear. Here's how to delete time slots: https://faq.buffer.com/article/281-publish-posting-schedule. Also, we offer a 50% discount for nonprofits (https://buffer.com/nonprofits). Just wanted to make sure you are aware of it. -Alfred

### "Easy to Use Social Media Scheduler "

June 9, 2018

4.0

Pros

I've used Buffer for quite a while now and I love that it's easy to use and available on multiple social media platforms. It's simple and fast to set up and start scheduling right away. It's nice that they have a free for life version for 3 profiles and affordable paid options as well depending on what your needs are.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything I hate about Buffer. I've been using the free version and as long as you only need 3 social profiles and 1 user it pretty much has done everything I need it to.

### "Buffer Review by Small Business Owner - Love It!"

October 13, 2020

5.0

It is going on 3 years and it is a huge time saver for our Small Business.

Pros

The Software is easy to use. As a Small Business we all wear different hats and Buffer is easy to use. It required minimal time to become familiar with product.

Cons

Not being able to repost a Facebook post, but being able to do it from Instagram. I know it is some glitch with FaceBook but it would be nice to do this.

Reason for choosing Buffer

Value for the money. Easy to use for small business.

### "Easy social media scheduler"

February 7, 2019

5.0

Particularly useful tool if you are in a different time zone from your audience. We are able to schedule social media posts when we are in Australia for the optimum time of our UK readers. Saves time as you are able to schedule all posts/content for the entire week or month and don't have to think about it as Buffer will post automatically on your behalf (especially useful when you know you don't have access to wifi, you're going on holiday etc) Also means you are able to track statistics/reach of these posts in order to analyse success.

Pros

\- straight forward and simple to use - schedules social media but also analyses performance of posts - great customer service/help team - Receive insightful "round up" emails that share the success/reach of posts so it's simple to track

Cons

\- limited on free version to only 10 tweets per day

### "Buffer is the best tool to schedule your social posts"

September 18, 2018

4.0

Buffer makes social media scheduling really simple.

Pros

I work for a digital marketing agency and one of my tasks is to schedule their client's social media post for the month. It also allows you to track which posts are getting much traction and which aren't. This is a great tool to automate social media posting and management.

Cons

I believe they should put more reporting features to track the engagements from each post.

### "Buffer Puts Social Media Management on Auto Pilot"

April 9, 2020

4.0

Managing my social accounts as a sole entrepreneur is a breeze with Buffer. You can even schedule content to post while you're not around, which keeps visitors directed to your site.

Pros

Buffer makes it easy to keep social pages like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest full of fresh content without having to manage each page separately.

Cons

The software is not as robust as it could be. Once posted, content cannot be re-used, so you have to keep adding new content. Other tools in this category like RecurPost allow you to create libraries of content you can tweak and re-use as necessary. That severely cuts down on the amount of original content you need to write to promote on social media.

Alternatives considered

[RecurPost](https://www.capterra.com/p/186683/RecurPost/)

Reason for choosing Buffer

I ultimately left Buffer and chose RecurPost to suit my social media posting needs. However, Buffer is a great product for anyone who is just getting started with social media automation.

### "Easy to use social media scheduling tool"

August 29, 2019

5.0

It's a great tool and one of the ones I suggest to clients who plan on handling social media themselves.

Pros

I like how easy to use it is. It's a nice looking product that is easy to teach to others. Another point I enjoy is how you can automate the scheduling times, making it less annoying to schedule posts. You simply pop it into the slot.

Cons

Sometimes photos look different than I expected. For instance, the size is smaller. This might be my own issue but it would be nice to see a preview of what the post would look like when it goes live.

### "Buffer - The effective Social Media Planner and Scheduler"

October 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

Buffer is a good social media scheduling tool for multiple platforms, having used it for some time as primarily a social media scheduling tool, here are my pros. 1) Broad Social Network Support - Compared to something like Hootsuite, you can access a lot more social networks with Buffer. You get almost all social networks including Pinterest, which is not usually available on most social posting tools 2) Scheduling is a gem - The good thing about Buffer is you can either use auto scheduling or schedule posts yourself across multiple networks. You can schedule up to 100 posts at a time with paid plans. 3) The Calendar view is good to see which days have no posts and you can easily add the posts you to different networks.

Cons

My only gripe with Buffer is the analytics seem a bit too basic for a serious marketer, it may just be a small gripe as you can use secondary tools for this. Other than the analytics reports, its a win some lose some but Buffer is the most intuitive social media planner to use.

### "A Powerful Social Media Tool"

August 1, 2019

5.0

When I first began using Buffer it was only available for Facebook, but I loved the automation. Over time the app has really grown and evolved into an extremely powerful and well rounded tool. You can set a posting schedule that can vary between different platforms and accounts. Buffer also provides the option to reply directly to social media posts from their dashboard and also provides analytics.

Pros

Buffer lets me stay engaged with my social media audience while automating the process.

Cons

It's a bit pricey depending on what level of account you have. However, they offer a free basic level which is a great way to get started and try it out.

### "Easy-to-use and works great!"

January 29, 2021

5.0

Pros

Buffer helps us schedule social media posts across all our main platforms, saving me so much time compared to doing all this manually. I love the Chrome extension too—I just open the page I want to share, click the extension, tweak the copy, and schedule right there in my browser window.

Cons

Only a very small thing, but I wish I could search the emoji bank instead of having to scroll through it. I usually end up copying and pasting emojis in from emojipedia as it's quicker.

### "Great for keeping posts organized!"

July 12, 2021

4.0

Depending on the number of brands/platforms you are working with, it's a great system but can be a touch pricey.

Pros

I like the number of platforms you are able to add, as well as the "Buffer" feature which allows you to set up preset time slots so when you click to "Buffer", it puts it right in that slot, saving some time.

Cons

The pricing tiers are pretty big jumps for what is being added on, but the software itself is great.

### "Buffer makes running our company social media easy"

October 14, 2020

4.0

Apart from a few hiccups, Buffer works smoothly - so we're happy!

Pros

It's a well-built tool with plenty of power features and a low price tag - which has made us a big fan for the almost 2 years we've used it.

Cons

Sometimes I've found that our social media accounts will get disconnected, but we don't get any warning from Buffer about this.

### "HootSuite is better & IFTTT can do enough for free"

March 30, 2021

3.0

Good overall but not as good as HootSuite from an experience lever for the user. Also IFTTT can do a lot for free that paid versions of Buffer can’t

Pros

Centralized platform. Set up was very easy and so is the mobile app. Saves time from going through all social platforms

Cons

Basic plans don’t provide as much integration as other services. Seems to unlink accounts regularly.

### "Great all-in-one social media tool"

June 30, 2020

5.0

Our agency has used Buffer for many years. We've seen the app mature into a powerful social media scheduler. It has everything we need to successfully post to our clients' networks.

Pros

Our agency has used other tools but Buffer is our go-to tool for social media posts. Everything from posting, analytics, engaging and scheduling can be done with Buffer. It's easy to plan and coordinate our posts, which is very important to our small team.

Cons

I haven't experienced any cons worth mentioning. We've used the tool for years and it just keeps getting better.

### "Easy to Use, Easy to Manage"

March 5, 2019

5.0

Buffer has been very easy-to-use and has made the day-to-day management of content easy.

Pros

We are a small team that is expected to produce at high volume. We don't have the time to manage across every channel, so Buffer's scheduling feature and cross-posting feature make life extremely easy. Not only does this help with production and traffic, the built-in graphics creator (Pablo) helps when we need content quickly.

Cons

I wish we could use this in collaboration with our CRM. That isn't to Buffer's fault but it would be nice to track traffic through Buffer and our CRM.

### "Life changing!"

August 20, 2018

5.0

Overall anytime you can get more time, more quality and especially more substance with social media, it is a win win. With Buffer I can type, think about my thoughts and post quality post that I feel really good about, it feels like me. On my phone I feel so rushed and cornered but by being able to pre post and really think about the genuine theme of what I am posting, I feel like I get to post the most authentic version of myself.

Pros

Managing multiple social media accounts was sucking up my time, Buffer is easy, simple and so convenient, I only started reading the blog after 6 months of using it and I love how simple or layered the app can be.

Cons

That you can't post multiple photos yet!

Pros

I have been using buffer for years, I love how simple it is to use. I have been teaching my colleague to use it and it has been really straight forward to advise how to use it.

Cons

If you want to pause posts for all the channels, you have to go into each channel individually.

### "It makes sharing to your Social Networks very easy"

August 6, 2020

5.0

If yu want an easy way to publish to multiple accounts, or you want to batch your publications (eg you read the news once a day/ a week and find a lot of material to republish), give buffer a try.

Pros

I love how integrates with your mobile Operating System (iOS or Android) and makes it very easy to keep your Social Network account publishing continuously, as you can queue and schedule the messages.

Cons

It lacks some features, like publishing videos/images to LinkedIn. Although I understand it's difficult to keep the pace of changes in every social network.

The Buffer Awesome plan is a worthwhile investment. Lets you queue up to 100 posts at a given time. Plus its Content Inbox lets you connect your favorite source sites for easy sharing of the latest posts.

Cons

Sometimes the integrations with Chrome or on mobile devices can be a little buggy, but this is a minor issue.

### "Simplest social media scheduling tool!"

December 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

Buffer was the pioneer in creating easy-to-use social media scheduling. I've used Buffer since its launch a few years ago and I'm happy to see the tool continue growing with new features and improved UX. I'm on the free plan of Buffer right now because I was only moderately active on social media. Even with this plan, Buffer is superior compared to other paid plans. I like the simple interface focused on content. Other similar software offers a lot on the outset, but for someone like me, I find that to be all too distracting. Now that my business is growing, I'm planning to go up to the business plan to leverage on the analytics feature to optimize my social media postings.

Cons

Nothing much, really! It does what it's supposed to. Just a note here: Buffer is only a scheduling tool, so you'll still have to manually put the posts in yourself.

Pros

### "If it makes my life easier it is worth it"

March 26, 2019

4.0

About 2 months ago, I was assigned the task of running the social media campaigns at work. Having never done so before, I was slightly overwhelmed. I started searching for solutions to help me out. I wanted a lower priced alternative to running all of my social accounts in their native applications. I further needed a way to tell my boss whenever an update posts. Buffer had what I need to make my stress level manageable. I can schedule my posts at the beginning of the week and keep adding on as I go. I get an email whenever an update posts and I let my boss know from that. Thank you Buffer for helping me out.

Pros

All of my social media accounts are all present. I can make multiple posts in 1 go and be done. I also added on the Share with Buffer add-on to my browser and it helps to share even more items with my social network.

Cons

Every now and then we have errors posting to Instagram and Facebook. That has been few and far between for me.
