### "End-to-End Social Media Management for Ultimate Growth"

May 15, 2022

4.0

Buffer is our essential social media management tool for managing over 50+ profile and pages on different social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. We're a Digital Marketing agency and we've achieved a lot of success with our successful clients through Buffer, We fully depend on it for scheduling posts on each network and for generating reports and insights about our performance to enhance it by curating a better content in the future. It's very helpful and essential to all digital marketing agencies.

Pros

Buffer is our favorite platform for measuring and analyzing the performance of our content through the most in-depth insights across different social media channels for a better and deeper understanding about what's working with your audience and what's not, We like the audience demographics for letting us find out if we're reaching the right audience or not, also the boosted post insights to compare the results between organic posts and paid posts, and the best overall is the account analytics to track engagement metrics for every single account in every channel and compare their results in the end for maximizing our growth rate and improving the performance to the max.

Cons

They really need to involve more AI/ML technologies into Buffer for enhancing the tools like for creating a better content recommendation algorithm and also for the insights and reporting, AI would be very helpful in generating artificial intelligence reports based on goals we set as Google Analytics and such tools like it, We're in the age of AI and it's very essential now in every tech product.

### "A really helpful tool for community managers. Even for beginners! "

February 7, 2022

5.0

Pros

Buffer becomes a really simple-to-use software for community managers in charge of many social media accounts, specially those who doesn't have a schedule-programming feature in their platforms, such as LinkedIn. You can create short-URLs for saving space on your captions. Also, in case you're the social media account owner, you can link your channels to Buffer and then let your team post directly from here, skipping all of the assigning new editors/admins on every single Facebook or LinkedIn page process, for example. Of course, you get an analytics panel for checking out how's everything going. Another cool feature, is that you can set an extension on your browser, so you can create posts with a really quick and easy access to the Buffer platform. And, most important for many, it has a free plan, but also its paying options are accessible for small agencies or freelancers.

Cons

Ok so it's kind of obvious that the main disadvantage of this software these days, is that you have other free tools out there such as Creator Studio in the case of Facebook and Instagram. However, in case you work with other platforms that don't allow this programming features such as Linkedin, this will help you. Also, in case you choose the free plan, you get a limited 10 scheduled post per social channel, among other obstacles like no IG stories scheduling. It does not have TikTok yet on its channels, which can be a little bit of trouble for some. Specially since many brands are now being part of this social media.

### "Buffer saves more than just time. It gives peace of mind."

January 10, 2023

5.0

Pros

I love that Buffer allows me to plan my social media posts in advance to easily move them around. Compared to cancelling a post and re-writing it, it definitely save time. Moreover, Buffer is reliable and posts as scheduled with no-hassles or fear of losing work.

Cons

There isn't much to say about Buffer when it comes to negative feedback. I only have good things to say about it. But, if I had to point something out, I would say is I wish it was free but that's just asking too much. I started off using Buffer when they first started up.

### "One of the best social media management platforms with a high price for teams"

January 14, 2020

5.0

Overall, Buffer is an excellent platform that offers incredible features - but due to the high price for simple features like team management & multiple users, it is not for me. While our social media team was just me, I found it to be the very best platform for social media management - offering a simple UI & high quality features for the free & low-tier accounts - as our team grew, we rapidly outgrew Buffer simply due to pricing, and found that there were similar products at a lower price point that would fit our needs.

Pros

Buffer is perhaps one of the simplest & easiest social media platforms on the market today; offering comprehensive and crucial features for managing your social media streams. This platform allows for the easy management of multiple social media accounts, allowing you to customize post-times & days, and then schedule posts quickly via the Queue only for those days. It offers built in analytics, direct posting to Instagram & Instagram stories, team management features & more - assuming you are willing to pay for those features. Overall, Buffer was probably my favorite social media management platform due to its simplicity & base features, yet it suffers in a few key areas.

Cons

I loved using Buffer for the period of time that I actually used it, but quickly discovered that the platform could not suite my needs because of one insurmountable obstacle - price. As a non-profit youth organization, having a low overhead cost for platforms such as this is extremely important, and I quickly found myself unable to continue using Buffer as my social media team grew simply because I could not afford their $65 CAD/month just to be able to have a second user (without admin privileges). The added features like direct Instagram Story & first comment seem interesting for me, but not at the cost $663/annually when there are alternatives (be it, with less features) out there that offer a lower overhead cost AND non-profit discounts. Furthermore, while the platform itself is extremely simple to use, I found their pricing structure & different brand building products to be quite confusing - with products such as "Reply", "Publish" and "Analyze" featuring little to no immediately accessible descriptions, and each one carrying a different pricing structure & subscription requirement. Lastly, one feature I've found on other social media platforms (but not on buffer) that I wish were available is the ability to draft a single post that can be queued in multiple social media channels, and customized for each channel. With buffer, you would need to recreate each post - which can take added time dependent on your social media channels.

I have a wonderful experience with Buffer. To be honest I am still using it and I am loving it. I am so glad that I discover this software. Setting the standard of skills and management in social media.

Pros

What I like the most about Buffer is the Scheduling of your content. It gives you more time to do other task once you are done scheduling them. It is easy to setup and navigate and hassle free.

Cons

I don't see any problem of using Buffer. I feel light after scheduling my content to buffer. I never encounter any missing post of my content.

### "A big name that is always solid and reliable "

March 20, 2023

4.0

Overall, I've always been very happy to use Buffer. Many clients insist on using it because they're used to it and they love the analytics and metric reporting that the platform offers. When I first started working on social media, I opted for Buffer because it was the biggest name out there. However, I soon migrated to other less pricey platforms. However, some clients insist on Buffer and it isn't a problem for me because I have always found it to be reliable.

Pros

Buffer is generally easy to use and offers users a wide variety of options. There is so much support for different social media channels. Buffer always integration with not only the main channels that are popular all over. It also some of the alternative social media platforms.

Cons

Buffer - presumably because of its name and reputation in the field - charges more than many other social media management platforms out there. There are plenty of other options that are just as reliable, but less well-known. However, in paying for Buffer, you're paying for peace of mind. Another con would be that the content management can be a little difficult to organise.

### "Affordable and Well-integrated Post Scheduling Tool"

August 30, 2022

5.0

Pros

I primarily use Buffer as a social media post scheduler. It has the features I require (broad social media integration, post-scheduling, campaign management) in an easy to use package. My small publishing business has three separate social media channels (on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). Without an all-in-one solution like Buffer, I wouldn't be able to maintain engagement with followers to the degree I am. Thanks to post scheduling, I can queue up a number of posts (and customize days, times, etc. when they will appear on each platform) and then focus on engaging with commentors rather than simply drafting posts. What's more, Buffer offers a generous free plan that allows users to manage a limited number of posts on up to three channels. Given the volume of my social media output, this is perfectly tailored to my need. If I would ever need to increase the amount or pace of my posts, given the scheduling and campaign-management features Buffer has demonstrated, I would be happy to pay the subscription fee.

Cons

Given the low cost option (i.e. free) and the functionality I receive with post-scheduling, there is little to complain about with Buffer. I had previously used a different post-scheduler that dropped all support for free plans. While I understand the business demands that drive such decisions, I appreciate the fact that Buffer has maintained this as an option. As a result, I make six posts across three channels every week and have consistently grown my followers (and thus enhanced my reach).

### "Buffer | Is it any good?"

June 20, 2022

4.0

Buffer has been a positive experience for me. I've used it for multiple years, and I used the free version for over half of that time. I was pleasantly surprised by how many posts I could schedule, and how many I could schedule across platforms. This kept be for a while, but I would eventually cancel my subscription and leave Buffer when Facebook for Business (which allows access to Instagram and Facebook post scheduling) and Tweetdeck (for Twitter) allowed me to make posts across the same three platforms I had initially used Buffer for. Sure, Buffer allowed you to use them all at once from a singular 3rd party. In fact, I believe that's Buffer's appeal compared to FfB or Tweetdeck, but it is not quite as appetizing for me. This software, however, is still cheap if you're looking to spend some money ($6 a month for the starting tier), and it would allow you to easily streamline your posts into one place.

Pros

Buffer is an easy-to-use content publishing software which allows brands to schedule posts ahead of time, and to schedule posts from multiple accounts (and platforms). This is extremely useful, because you can schedule a post for Facebook to release at the same time as Instagram, and you don't have to go to either website to do it. Buffer streamlines social media posts into one complete software. I first learned about buffer nearly 5 years ago at an event. It was recommended to me by my supervisor, and I proceeded to use it to schedule promotional materials with releases of my podcast episodes. I used it for multiple years, and liked what it had to offer: The subscription tiers were cheaper than I expected, with the first starting at $6 a month. You were able to schedule up to 10 posts with 3 accounts (for the free tier) which I used for multiple years. I scheduled Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter posts 10 days in advance, and then would take a break from content production for about a week before I scheduled it again. This helped me from getting burnt out on using social media every day. The posts were easy to create, and I could schedule the same posts on different platforms at different times. I could also add photos and videos if need (for stuff like Instagram). This made it easier for me to target each separate audience on each platform and cater to the times they were more statistically likely to see my post. It genuinely helped me grow my audience.

Cons

There was a bug that, on occasion, if you saved your posts to be scheduled then the page would refresh and the post would be gone. This happened rarely, but did happen on occasion. As I've used-browser based services (Express had this issue, for example), I've found that this is a relatively common problem when a page refreshes or your internet is interrupted. I would've stayed with Buffer to this day, but Facebook for Business and Tweetdeck allowed me to schedule more posts across the same three platforms for free. Ultimately, their competition won me over by offering the same stuff I was doing, and a little extra (more posts, better statistics, access to advertisements, and more). This caused me to eventually turn away from Buffer. I hope that, every time I see an email, there's an update to bring me back. That email has yet to be sent.

### "Maximize your social media presence with Buffer"

April 13, 2023

5.0

Buffer is a fantastic tool for managing your social media content. It is user-friendly, versatile, and offers a wide range of features to help streamline your social media marketing efforts

Pros

Buffer is an excellent tool for managing social media content, it allows you to schedule posts across various social media platforms. This saves me effort and time. One of the best features of Buffer is its easy-to-use interface. The dashboard is intuitive and simple, making it easy to schedule posts and manage your social media accounts. Buffer offers a number of useful integrations with other marketing tools, such as Canva and Bitly.

Cons

While Buffer offers scheduling and publishing for a wide range of social media platforms, some platforms may not have the same level of functionality as others. For example, Instagram doesn't allow third-party tools to post directly to the platform, so Buffer has to use a workaround where it sends you a push notification to manually post the content on the app. While Buffer does offer a free plan, it has limitations on the number of social media accounts you can manage, the number of posts you can schedule, and the amount of analytics data you can access. If you want access to more features or need to manage multiple social media accounts, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan. For a small business it might not be possible

### "Buffer, the Only Way to Manage Social Media"

November 20, 2018

4.0

If not for Buffer I would not be able to post regularly to social media. I don't get on the various platforms enough to post everyday, and Buffer makes it possible to bring a message to my audience on a consistent basis.

Pros

I love using Buffer to plan out my social media strategy. Here is what I love most about it: 1) It easily integrates with Twitter and Facebook. It works with Pinterest and Instagram, but I only use it for Facebook and Twitter. 2) You get to use it for free for up to 10 scheduled posts at a time (as of this writing) and this allows you to be sure that it works for you and for your needs. 3) The team at behind Buffer is fantastic. The few times I needed to contact support I was helped right away and my issue taken care of just like that. Their emails are funny and you can tell that they love what they do.

Cons

Honestly there isn't a lot I dislike about Buffer. If I had major problems with it I would have switched over to Hootsuite or a similar app. In the end, here are three things I could Buffer could improve upon. 1) The UI can be a bit clunky at times. I think it could use a makeover. It's not terrible by any means but it can be confusing to figure out. 2) Sometimes the extension doesn't connect right, and it gets stuck in a loading pattern. 3) I often have to go and reauthorize twitter or Facebook to work again. It can get annoying to do this over and over. Overall, these downsides are only slight and don't stop me from loving Buffer.

Pros

### "Easy to use and essential for my business"

February 10, 2021

5.0

Buffer is one of the more inexpensive social media scheduling and tracking sites. I really like how easy it is to link all my different social media accounts and schedule my posts ahead of time. It also makes it really easy to post to all my social media accounts at once. I like the browser extension that allows me to buffer an image, website, or page on the fly. I also use their app on my smartphone. It gives me all the tools I need for only about $8 per month. I also like that it offers analytics and tracking information on my posts. You can also republish an old post. Another feature I love is the ability to see all your post comments and comment back from Buffer.

Pros

The ability to link to all different social media accounts. The extension for the web browser is amazing and easy to use. The app for the smartphone is also very easy to use. The free version also has a lot of features. If you do not have a lot of social accounts, the free version works perfectly. You can track the engagement and analytics of your posts. You can actually comment and engage on your posts from the website or app! It's very inexpensive.

Cons

Nothing really. Sometimes a post gets blocked because of the link, but that's an issue with the social media site and not Buffer directly.

### "Streamline Your Social Media with Buffer"

February 2, 2023

To summarize, Buffer is a helpful tool for individuals and businesses who want to simplify and streamline the management of their social media accounts. Although there are a few restrictions, it is still a good option for managing social media because to its overall simplicity of use as well as the wide variety of services it offers.

Cons

Limited customization: While Buffer makes it easy to schedule and publish posts, some users may feel limited in their ability to customize their posts.Price: Buffer's pricing can be a bit high for some users, especially small businesses or individuals.Limited image editing: The image editing capabilities of Buffer are limited, and users may need to use additional tools to enhance their images.

### "User-friendly but sometimes a bit clumsy "

November 6, 2023

3.0

Overall Buffer fits quite alright with the small businesses, but is definitely not a good choice for bigger companies.

Pros

Buffer offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it accessible even for beginners. There is even a free plan option that is efficient for very small businesses and individuals.

Cons

### "Buffer - A Good Tool for Social "

December 1, 2020

4.0

Overall it does what we need it to do. It's a good tool, not fantastic, but I have yet to find one that is... so all in all I think Buffer does a great job for the price of the software. I do like how all analytics are in one place and how you can have multiple users and editors working on your social copy. It has definitely made social media management easier.

Pros

I do like the ease of use and functionality. It has a clean interface and you can select from a couple of different plan options, including one for posting and analyzing your social media accounts.

Cons

There are limitations. I wish I could go in and schedule weeks or even months worth of content, but I can't because Buffer does not allow you to post carousel photos on Instagram or LinkedIn. We often share more than one photo on our posts so I have to go and manually do that for those networks when we have more than one photo. I hope that functionality will integrate soon because it is a huge downfall of the platform. However, all other platforms are facing this issue, it's not unique to Buffer.

### "Simple and easy social media manager"

November 11, 2016

5.0

I'm a huge fan of Buffer (And Hootsuite), Buffer was the first social media manager I've ever used. It was easy to use and the UI was great. I use the free plan which came with 7 days (I think) to use the Pinterest feature free. I wish the free plan wasn't restricted to 10 posts per profile but I can understand the reason. There was also an image quality loss when I used buffer on my Kindle fire tablet, but their support was quick to help and while Buffer isn't natively functional on Fire, it was god to know that the customer care did all that they could to help. Buffer analytics is kind of lame, maybe it's because I'm on the free plan but I laughed when I clicked on analytics and the metrics were: Retweets, Likes, Mention, Comments, Shares, Potential' Instagram Analytics gives better stats than that One area where Buffer trumps Hootsuite is that it the free plan supports 5 social media profiles (Once again you can only use Pinterest for 7 days free but meh). I like the fact that I can set up my preferred schedule times and then when I 'Add to Queue' the posts go out at the specified time. It's like MavSocial's 'Campaign' feature. I also liked being able to Rebuffer my old posts. It kept my social media profile continually active. I mostly use Buffer connected to getcrate.co to keep my social media profiles active.

Pros

Buffer integrates nicely with softwares such as start a fire, feedly and Crate. Which are all softwares i use. This makes it easy for me to share content to my followers. It is easy to use and the freeplan supports 5 social medis networks.

Cons

The image quality loss I experienced when i used Buffer on my fire tablet. Granted Buffer on my android tablet is perfect but I wished it worked just as well as Hootsuite did.

### "The Buffer Review"

July 30, 2023

5.0

Love the Buffer and still use it but it's over priced and they need to provide better analytics at the lower pricing levels

Pros

The easiest service of its kind that I have found to schedule and manage large numbers of profiles - I have been with them since the beginning

Cons

They went crazy with the pricing and increased it way too high

Alternatives considered

[Hootsuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/121701/HootSuite/)

Reason for choosing Buffer

Easier to use

Initially I added Buffer and used both for several years. Eventually I let Hootsuite go because it was more difficult to manage.

### "Reduce time publishing content."

September 27, 2021

5.0

We've had a great experience with Buffer with no reason to seek out other options. Flexible options for small businesses to get started with building a social media presence.

Pros

The ability to schedule posts in advance and publish to multiple social media platforms at the same time has been a huge help for our team. Prior to implementing Buffer, a member of our team had to go into each social media platform to publish posts, which led to social media neglect. Buffer has helped us keep our content fresh and consistent.

Cons

Buffer decreased the functions in the free account which required us to switch to a paid account to maintain certain functions. We understand the business decision behind it, but at the time, we were watching the limited budgets as a result of COVID, so the change was unexpected.

### "Great Free Product"

November 14, 2023

5.0

I moved from a different platform that limited how many pending posts you could have. This has been a great move and I'm happy that I did it.

Pros

Buffer allows me to quickly and easily create and schedule posts for LinkedIn. It even has a handy place to store ideas to post later. I'm on the free version and can set up a large number of posts in advance. While I believe there's a limit, I haven't hit it. I usually have 5 or 6 pre-planned at any time. It's easy to post, find the day on the calendar you wish to post and begin typing. You can narrow down the time to the exact minute you want to post. That's a very handy feature!

Cons

There are other features that would be helpful but you can only use them if you're on the paid plan. The system will ask if you want to do xyz then when you click yes you find out you have to pay for that feature. It would be nice if they would say up front, do you want to try xyz feature on the paid plan or something like that.

Hootsuite began limiting the number of posts you could have pending. It made it incredibly difficult to use.
