### "Social Media Built for Busy People"

September 7, 2021

4.0

Overall experience is really great I found myself using more of a batching method and help retrain my mind and how to use social media for my business I found myself wanting to have more and so trying different software and making it so I can save time for the day is what I wanted to do and the software really helped.

Pros

As a business owner, I find myself wanting to use social media to promote my content. But having the time to do so is very time consuming. So here comes this software with an easy and alternative way to post on social media without having to take so much time and being able to what I like to call batch posting. This is the ability to post when you want and schedule those posts but you can drop all these posts beforehand and schedule them out instead of having to do them at the time you wanted to post. This is a huge game changer and makes it really easy to post on social media and still be active.

Cons

I find myself hitting a barrier once again with these types of software. A lot like hootsuite there's a limitation on what you can do for the free account. I'm finding myself also wanting to post on Instagram for carousels and it doesn't quite work right and it makes it more inconvenient than just posting on my own. And at that point I find myself wanting just to use the original method.

Alternatives considered

[Hootsuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/121701/HootSuite/)

Reason for choosing Buffer

I wanted to try buffer, because it offered a different type of software limit compared to Hootsuite.

Switched from

[Airtable](https://www.capterra.com/p/146652/Airtable/)

The software is more specific for posting and scheduling whereas I could schedule what I wanted to post but not actually post it in air table.

### "If you post to social media for your business, you need to be using this service. "

January 17, 2018

5.0

I'm not a social media professional, and have no interest in spending time each day on multiple pages of multiple sites to share information for business marketing. Buffer let's me do exactly that work with a few clicks, and schedule posts out for days at a time.

Pros

Buffer takes so much effort out of frequent social media posting. It allows with a click and a few words of caption to post to one site or many, one page or many, on a pre-set or "next up" schedule so that you never have to stop what you're doing to share a web site to your profiles. It takes care of the post times, the queue, the placement, even the analyitics of how your posts perform across all of your social sites. Their blog alone is worth subscribing to - jammed with useful and entertaining tips for maximizing your results, and the free version can be very helpful for startup pages or social enthusiasts. But when you're serious about posting for your business, the paid plans make the transition to "professional social media marketer" very seamless.

Cons

Recently, Facebook and Buffer aren't as tightly integrated as they used to be. That's a change with FB, and Buffer is very up front about why things are different. It's a small step backward, and not the developer's fault at all. It's still the very best value in managed social media posting, and a sanity saver for anyone who posts to multiple sites/profiles/pages on a regular basis.

### "A friendly and committed application: Buffer"

April 1, 2023

4.0

My experience has been satisfactory. Compared to other similar applications, Buffer adapts perfectly to my needs and allows me to have support on the content approval Flow.

Pros

Its friendly interface, as well as the way it facilitates the distribution of campaign content over time. It can be used both online and through an app, which makes it much easier to use. It is designed to be used on both IOS and Android, which expands its usefulness, and incorporates the most important social networks.

Cons

That its free version is somewhat limited against the premium version. However, the former might suffice for startups whose campaign budgets are a bit tight.

Reason for choosing Buffer

Due to its friendly design, its wide range of services and the possibility of obtaining reports from the competition, among many other factors that I have already exposed in this review.

### "Buffer is my go-to social media scheduler"

February 15, 2022

5.0

I'm pleased with the experience of using Buffer for all of my social scheduling. The platform is very reliable and it's easy to train new team members on the straight-forward dashboard.

Pros

Buffer is flexible for my needs. I can post across multiple brands to all major platforms.

Cons

There are times that I need to refresh the platform connections in order to clearly see the profile avatars. I'd like to see them all every time I open the dashboard.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Buffer

The Buffer dashboard is easier to manage than other tools I have tried.

### "Stay Ahead on Social Media Easily with Buffer"

October 14, 2019

5.0

Buffer helps our clients manage their social media profiles and schedule out their social media messages according to our strategy ahead of time. This tool makes it easy to work ahead and streamline your scheduling process. The free plan is quite nice as well, as you can connect 3 accounts and schedule out 10 messages ahead of time. This is nice for clients that are just starting to utilize social media management tools! While the pricing structure seems a bit odd, the frustrations I have with Instagram and social media scheduling apps will exist no matter which app you use!

Pros

Buffer makes it easy to schedule out your social media posts ahead of time and you can also manage multiple different accounts from one place. At our marketing company, it's also easy for clients to understand and use on their own time whether they're on their phone or computer.

Cons

Using Instagram with any social media scheduling app can be a pain and Buffer is no exception to this rule. Some IG posts have to be scheduled manually which defeats the purpose if you're just using Buffer to control IG accounts. Their pricing structure is also confusing with different prices for publishing, analyzing and replying. It can make it difficult for potential clients to understand exactly what they're paying for.

Alternatives considered

[Hootsuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/121701/HootSuite/)

Reason for choosing Buffer

We typically recommend either Buffer or Hootsuite to our clients that need help with social media scheduling! Most of our smaller clients normally choose the Buffer Pro Publish package, simply based on price, since 100 messages scheduled ahead of time is more than enough!

### "Buffer: Forget the Rest!"

December 30, 2021

I started using Buffer back in 2019, and have stuck with them since. I schedule content and promotions for a whole month in just 2 hours.

Pros

Ease of use, it's affordable and offers monthly subscriptions. It's the only tool when it comes to social media that did the job as I wanted and needed.

Cons

Until this moment there is nothing missing from Buffer. The ultimate social media management tool, and all you need.

November 17, 2022

I love it , I will keep on using for promotions since I have a lot of social media platforms and I cannot access them all of them at once. It is easy use and affordable , I love the yearly plan. The features this platform offers are so expensive in other platforms but in here everything is covered at a lower price.

Pros

Collections of your fanbase or perfect clientele for me stands out, one gets to set our the entire month planning without struggling with keeping up with daily schedules. It is effective in carrying out activities and never disappoints.

Cons

I love it , everything about it , I just haven't use an app version of this platform. It is best to use on a desktop.

Pros

User friendly, easy managing, super welcoming friendly staff resolving even complicated payment issues with understanding, I appreciated it very much

### "Buffer for Small Business"

November 30, 2018

4.0

Overall, Buffer is a helpful tool for scheduling posts across many platforms. As a small business owner, I have very little time leftover at the end of the day, and the last thing I want to worry about is my social media posting. Buffer helps me streamline my workday and check one more thing off the list with little effort.

Pros

As a photographer, I rely heavily on social media, so social media assistants/schedulers are great for streamlining work. Some pros of Buffer are: - There are varying levels of accounts, including a free option, so you're sure to find a plan that works for you - Buffer has a strong analytics tool. The big plus here for me is that it will show you in plain english which posts perform better or worse (and you can filter them by engagement type). - Scheduling posts across platforms is literally as easy as one click. - The interface is simple and very user friendly.

Cons

Cons: -The biggest con is not a fault of Buffer, and that is its integration with Instagram. Instagram does not allow third party apps to post on its behalf, so Buffer cannot do this. It instead will send a notification to your phone to let you know that it loaded a photo into your Instagram account, and from there you take the lead. - With the free version, you can only keep 10 scheduled posts at a time. - The analytics lacks a key thing: the ability to monitor mentions, searches or hashtags.

### "Buffer is a Great Social Scheduler for Small Business Owners"

April 17, 2018

5.0

Pros

I've done social media marketing consulting for 3-4 years now and I will always suggest Buffer to my small business clients. The platform is so straightforward it would take the most non-technology savvy person to get lost on it. The free platform works flawlessly and lets you connect quite a few of your social accounts, and I have never had a problem with the mobile app - and come to think of it I'm pretty sure I only use the mobile app for scheduling when I create my own content. If you're not sure which social scheduler to use when you're just first starting out, please consider Buffer. Their team is on top of its game when creating content for its users and keeping their community up to date on the latest Instagram API changes and Facebook algorithms. This platform is the real deal.

Cons

This platform is great if you're the sole owner of your social platforms, but when you need to move to a bigger team I would consider upgrading to something more robust like Sprout Social. I really don't have many bad things to say about Buffer besides that its fairly simplistic, but honestly that simplicity is what attracts so many small business owners to the platform. If you have 3-4 social accounts and post fairly regularly on a weekly basis, Buffer is a great product for you.

### "Affordable Option"

January 11, 2023

5.0

Pros

Buffer offers many incredibly valuable tools at a very reasonable price (lowest I've been able to find with plenty of research). Customer support is quick and helpful. The platform itself is very easy to use. I have worked with many social media planning tools and Buffer offers a great service for small businesses, managers wanting to consolidate multiple account management, or someone just getting started in the social media game.

Cons

It lacks some features found in some of the more robust tools available but I believe that comes with the price point of Buffer. It definitely fills a gap in the market and it overall a great tool.

### "Good option "

June 8, 2023

5.0

In general, good option. Easy to use, and follow up on social media content and marketing strategies

Pros

Very straightforward, easy to use, even if you're not familiar with this product, you'll get the hang of it real quick.

Cons

Sometimes, the analytics are not quite right. For example, when I used this for Twitter reports, it didn't took into account posts I shared on Twitter without using Buffer. So this is something to keep in mind when tracking. I had to always double-check Buffer and the Twitter Analytics to get the final numbers.

### "The first content scheduler I used"

August 22, 2022

3.0

Buffer was a great tool to start learning how to plan and schedule content to social media ahead of time. Its very easy to use and even my not so tech savvy clients managed to use it and enjoy using it.

Pros

At the time f using Buffer – there weren’t many social media content schedulers on the market. Buffer was inexpensive and easy to use. It was easy to integrate Buffer with Facebook and Instagram and Twitter. The most impactful feature was how easy it was to use and that you could schedule multiple posts to go out automatically which is a huge time saver.

Cons

Buffer was extremely glitchy. There were periods of time that it would not post the content and you wouldn’t know unless you checked. Once this had happened a few times I started to not trust it anymore. As I publish a lot of content at once for multiple businesses it was no longer sustainable to keep checking if posts were going out or not.

### "Social Media Management that's not overwhelming"

July 31, 2018

4.0

Super awesome easiest navigation of Social Media automation tool.

Pros

Buffer is a great tool for Social Media Marketing and Management. The thing that I liked the most about Buffer is their simple User Interface. You can navigate easily, you won't need a Digital Compass, unlike other Social Media Management tools where you will be lost in a sea of buttons. Connecting your Social Media Profiles will be an easy breeze, click a button and voila! You're already connected and ready to roll-out. Buffer has a Free plan! Yep, you will never have to worry if you're cramming the software. Buffer Free Plan has a built-in Analytics tool that does work intelligently. Every now and then, the Free Plan also receives the Upgrades for the Paid Versions. The Paid Plans are not that Pricey, it's worth your money.

Cons

As much as I love to see if someone mentions my Social Media Account, Buffer cannot show this, if you're a freak about mentions, searches or relevant and rich hashtags, Buffer has little to no feature like this. Just remember, Buffer's purpose is to automate your Social Media Planning, scheduling your posts and publishing your work in a most efficient way possible.

Pros

Buffer is very simple to use—that's a win since it's being used for social media management. You want to get in and get out quickly. The fact that you can schedule and automate publishing is the true win here.

Cons

The tool is not as robust as something like Tweetdeck, which allows you to also view your social media feeds, mentions, and more.

### "Manage social media profile with Buffer"

August 24, 2021

5.0

Pros

I have many social media accounts, both from the same firm and from another. Buffer allows me to manage everything from one spot, which is convenient because I wouldn't have to log in to each account separately. In addition, there are a variety of post automation options available to make my job simpler.

Cons

Social media websites continue to change their design and interface. Therefore I need to link and pair with the entire account. This has happened far too often, and I've spent far too much time attempting to get everything back in order. A mobile version of the program is available from Buffer. However, it is far from being on par with the desktop version.

February 28, 2019

Pros

1\. I have been using buffer since years now and me being traveling many times and busy with work schedule, it becomes tedious and a headache task to maintain all my social media posting, buffer makes my work easy when i can schedule my weeklong social plan easily in one day. 2. Buffer app is too good but their team is more awesome, whenever i get stuck somewhere there's almost quick support from these guys. 3. Once getting used to, very convenient and pretty quick to use app.

Cons

1\. Recurrent "Unknown Error" issues where posts are not scheduled properly which becomes a hastle in itself. 2. Tagging is nearly imppossible which i think is crucial element in our today's social media posting. 3. Posting to instagram is limited to once per day.

### "Excellent tools for managing social media account"

June 10, 2021

5.0

Pros

Buffer has fantastic social media marketing tools with an excellent design and a track record of constant support and enhancements over time. It also helps significantly because it is, in some ways, less expensive than its competitors. If you're proposing an SMM platform purchase to a company that isn't prepared to spend a lot for digital marketing, the pricing provides it with a cost advantage.

Cons

It misses certain valuable features that rivals provide. I'm referring to services like Twitter and LinkedIn integrated tagging. The last times I was using this software, it still lacked adequate tagging functions, requiring you to visit a new page to confirm either you entered the username correctly or incorrectly. Another thing I don't like about Buffer is the middle-tier subscription is just for two users, which is too few for our team.
