### "A Cost Effective Option for Startups and Early Growth - Not the Long Term Answer"

June 29, 2018

3.0

Pros

Buffer is very similar to many social media suite products in that you can easily post to several accounts at the same time. Linking the individual accounts to your main Buffer account is pretty straightforward (and you may become accustomed to the action of re-connecting the accounts often). The internet browser plug-in allows you to easily post everything from images and articles to entire web pages directly to your social media accounts. Much easier than copy-and-pasting urls and links into a suite platform in order to mention/comment/etc.

Cons

As noted above, I've struggled with my accounts staying linked/synced to the main business account. Additionally, the interface on the software can be difficult to navigate at times, and it's difficult to find help areas/assistance as to where you should be looking to find additional functionality. Scheduling posts in advance can also be problematic if you're utilizing some of the API connections that are automatically generating content for your social media account as you typically end up with a lot of stock content filling your social media accounts.

### "Great Social Media Management Tool on the Cheaper Side"

February 21, 2021

4.0

Buffer helps a lot in saving time and improving the quality of social media content marketing. It's much easier to schedule the same post from Buffer across different social media platforms than doing so separately. It might seem like a small tweak but makes a great difference for digital marketers.

Pros

Buffer is a great package of social media management tools that rocks a great design and is very consistent with its support and improvements over time. It also helps a lot that it's cheaper compared to other competitors in some ways. The price gives it a competitive advantage if you're pitching an acquisition of an SMM platform to companies that aren't willing to spend a lot on their digital marketing activities.

Cons

It lacks some convenient features that the competitors offer. I'm talking about features like integrated tagging for Twitter and LinkedIn. Last time I used this software it still lacked the proper tagging features which require you to make an extra step to open a separate tab to check whether you got the username right or wrong. Another aspect I dislike is that Buffer's middle-range plan is intended for two users only. In my opinion, the mid-range option should be for at least three people. At the time of choosing, we decided to go with Hootsuite because it's the mid-range plan, while more expensive, was intended for three people and also offered more of the above-mentioned features.

### "Good social media marketing/management tool"

January 31, 2023

4.0

Overall, Buffer is really a great tool to be used by business and individuals, it helps with the hassle of checking individual analytics from each other platform. Except for the pricing, it is a good 8/10.

Pros

I like how Buffer accurately publishes the scheduled content as it is, on the exact time. The social media integration is very convenient as it also shows all analytics in one dashboard.

Cons

I did not like the pricing, it is a bit too pricey for small businesses that do not have excess budgets to invest in great tools like Buffer.

### "Great option for startups"

December 15, 2023

5.0

Great. It has become my go-to for startup projects or freelance projects.

Pros

It has a free plan that allows you to post to three different channels. This is great when you are working with a reduced budget, but you still need to save time from posting across channels.

Cons

While the free version is very helpful, it doesn't allow for any type of monitoring or conversations with users. So it's very one direction.

Because of the free plan. Later is good but posting across channels is not that intuitive.

### "Buffer is a good option for scheduling social media posts"

November 20, 2023

3.0

Overall, buffer is a good option for scheduling social media posts to various accounts. I would use again after they make some improvements.

Pros

Buffer was a good option for scheduling social media posts and send out them automatically using the scheduler. Like that you could send to various social media accounts all at once.

Cons

Sometime the scheduler would get out of sync and post did not go out when they should. There was no alert capability letting you know about failed posts.

### "It does it better than others!"

September 27, 2023

I schedule my posts on multiple social media platforms with automated settings, ensuring they are consistently punctual and never delayed. This streamlined approach not only saves me time but also helps maintain a consistent online presence, which is crucial for engaging with my audience and growing my online brand.

Pros

It efficiently accomplishes tasks, saving you time and allowing you to allocate more time to other activities. This productivity boost enhances your overall efficiency and enables a better work-life balance.

Cons

I'm still enjoying it right now so I don't think I have any issues with it

### "Good application for social media management"

September 3, 2021

5.0

Pros

At our company, we have a social media strategy. We pick specific periods for posting on social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Insta to maximize engagement. Buffer assists us in systematically implementing this technique. All of our postings can be prepared within one day and posted separately on different days and hours.

Cons

There isn't anything about Buffer that I don't enjoy. To make social media planning simple and customized, Buffer was created, which is why I use it now. With particular design and functionality flaws, this platform has considerably increased my efficiency and productivity in my profession.

### "Buffer is the Best!!"

August 8, 2019

5.0

As a single person managing the marketing across all fields for a company, including their traditional advertising, website maintenance and content, with HR on the side, buffer has enabled me to keep up with the social media without a worry. I can take a day out every few weeks and put a plan into action which will run in the background while I am consumed by other tasks. It is a real life saver.

Pros

I love using this product, after trying to get along with other platforms which enable you to pre program posts across different social media platforms this is by far the best on I have found! It is extremely user friendly, you can clearly look at your monthly schedule on a separate window to see what you have planned it. The reminders for posts which have not successfully posted (e.g. multiple images to instagram) are a brilliant help! And Buffer is constantly being updated and improved.

Cons

Not being able to post multiple images to instagram. Sometimes images take a long time to buffer and stick on '99% finishing up' and you have to delete the post/ reopen the page to try again.

### "Top of The Line SMM Service"

January 30, 2019

5.0

I have used a multitude of platforms for social media in the past and buffer had proven itself to be more effective for social media marketing and has better value.

Pros

Buffer has everything you need to run an effective social media marketing company/campaign. Unlike other companies there are very little to no bugs, the cost is very affordable, and there is a wide array of social media platforms to use. Scheduled posting makes it easy to post in advance. One unique feature that other companies don't have is the "buffer this" feature. This allows you to share, schedule, and copy any image you see while browsing the internet. Makes for great immediate posting if you see an interesting article or image.

Cons

It would be great to see more social media platforms added like Pinterest. Also hashtag recommendations would be a great addition and very useful to speed up the process.

### "An inexpensive way to manage your social posts"

February 10, 2023

4.0

Pros

Easy to use, very quick to use on the fly on a daily basis. I liked the visualisation of your posts the best because you can see the gaps (where you have no posts) easily.

Cons

Some issues with accounts unlinking and having to go through to the integrated app and refresh the link every now and again. Also didn’t like that there was a limit on the amount of accounts you can have on the cheap plan but I suppose every company has to make their money somehow!

### "Fantastic tool for social media management"

October 20, 2023

5.0

With several social networks to manage with posts, buffer monitoring solves the need for duplicated and repetitive work.

Pros

Being able to manage several social networks in one place with the possibility of scheduling posts and monitoring engagement is one of the features that caught my attention.

Cons

In itself the tool is excellent, however, with the emergence of other tools on the market and with more attractive prices I had to stop using it, however, I recommend it as it does its job perfectly.

### "Great way to schedule and manage social accounts"

February 20, 2019

4.0

Buffer allows me and my team members to manage and collaborate on social media content management and scheduling. Highly recommended for any teams, big or small.

Pros

Buffer is extremely easy to use and allows me to post content to multiple accounts at the same time. Each individual account can have its own schedule as well, so you can stagger posts on different channels. Just set and forget. Once I've added posts to my accounts, the list view allows me to drag and drop to easily shift the position of specific posts in the schedule, while the calendar view gives me an overarching look at all the planned content. I'd like recommend Buffer as a social content management tool.

Cons

Not a big deal, but it would be great to get a preview on the most basic types of posts (link only for example) on channels like Twitter to be able visualize how the Open Graph components are going to be displayed before posting. This type of preview is automatically generated on channels like Facebook.

### "Buffer"

October 30, 2018

2.0

My experience is a bit bad, since I can not publish anything automatic since it does not upload it and gives an error.

Pros

What I like about this program is that you can manage your social networks in just 1 application, it is very useful for a person who has several social networks and wants to upload images or publish it immediately. The option that allows programming is very useful, since you can place something daily without always being connected.

Cons

What I do not like is the operation, which first has problems in instagram, since it does not have the automatic option to adapt the photos to be published automatically, since it sends error when uploading it. They should be able to fix this since every time you program something in instagram you can not upload. You must have a cut option so that when you publish a program the same program will upload it without having to do it manually.

### "Great social media manager for beginners!"

December 15, 2020

5.0

Overall, I would highly recommend this to all startups! As a startup, you don't need to use a social media managing software that's expensive. Buffer offers so many features at its base plan and I think it's sufficient. They have higher-tier plans that offer more features so once your social media accounts grow, upgrading is an option.

Pros

I was introduced to do this software by my boyfriend because he uses this for his dog walking business. It took several hours to figure out how to use it but after getting the hang of it, it's totally worth it! From the research that I did, I think it's an affordable option in comparison to other programs It's easy to use, affordable and the features that are offered with the Pro plan are more than enough for a startup!

Cons

The only thing that could be fixed is the connection with all the social media accounts. The integration itself is very smooth but every once in a while (probably once every 3 months) some accounts get disconnected so you have to re-connect them. Since it happens rarely it's not a deal-breaker but I just look at it as a way to verify accounts!

### "Una gran herramienta para gestionar redes sociales "

November 15, 2022

Pros

### "It's Really Expensive For What it Does"

November 14, 2022

4.0

Buffer is great if you're just looking to toss out some content that isn't advanced. Text posts, simple images, reposts of content and so forth, you'll have no problem. If you're looking to post some more advanced content like reels and whatnot, this is not your software. That said, it's fantastic at what it does and it's super simple to use. Tech support is always pretty helpful and they offer a lot of free tips to your email about how to use the software (and social media). Fun extra is you can even post to shopify through it. As I mentioned in the cons section - the price point is high for what it does, but if that's all you need then it might not be a bad fit for you.Our overall experience with buffer was positive, it just wasn't as feature rich as we needed.

Pros

Straightforward posting, clean interface, straightforward to use. Good integration abilities (can be used with canva zapier, wordpress, and a ton of content sources). It also offers easy to access gifs and emojis for your posts and has a pretty decent free plan if you're just looking to do some basic posting.

Cons

It's pretty expensive for the features (or lack of features) that it offers. At $5-$10/channel/month, it's a lot more pricey than some of it's competitors. It also lacks features. There are no advanced post types, no bells or whistles (like best posting time or hashtag research). It also is a bit temperamental about the browser that you're using (which shouldn't really happen since it's been around for so long).

### "Great For Social Media Scheduling but Not a Comprehensive Platform"

November 15, 2022

5.0

Social media marketing is something that my company does on a regular basis but it is not a critical element of our business. Because of this, our business need for a social media management platform was that we needed something that would allow us to schedule social media posts and manage multiple accounts and didn't need all the advanced tools that other social media platforms provide. Because of this, Buffer is a perfect solution for our business but might not cover all the needs of other businesses.

Pros

We are able to easily manage all of our clients social media accounts and schedule posts months in advance. Buffer also offers some reporting and engagement features that we use on a limited basis for certain clients. The ability to collaborate and approve posts from within the platform is critical for our business need.

Cons

Buffer is definitely not a good solution for companies that need advanced social media features but it is the perfect low-cost solution for scheduling social media posts.

### "Buffer Review"

August 6, 2021

3.0

I think Buffer is overall a great marketing program to schedule your content and worth your investment/subscription.

Pros

Buffer has made it very easy to schedule content for all social media accounts. By using this program you don't have to worry to forget an important post or information, all you need to do is being organized and schedule ahead of time.

Cons

Buffer has disconnected to some of my accounts a lot of times and was not able to publish. I had to reconnect, but unfortunately, that happened over the weekend and my post did not publish on time.

Reason for choosing Buffer

The final decision was more or less to cut the costs from other programs.

### "Buffer Review"

August 17, 2021

5.0

The experience has been great. I love the scheduling and tracking abilities.

Pros

Scheduling, tracking and measuring. I am constantly needing to post at least 2-3 posts a day, which can be too much for a novice like me, especially when needing to do this on 3 platforms. Buffer has made this a whole lot easier. I spend a couple an hour or two planning and scheduling, and I am happy with the result. Less headaches and ease of use.

Cons

Being on the free plan can be very limiting. Also, depending on what one wants, free plans on similar products vary in terms of offering, making it difficult to compare them fairly. However, the free plan on Buffer limits one to 3 platforms - Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Other free plans like Zoho Social, allow you to add up to 6 channels. Twitter and Pinterest posts are on the back banner for now, at least until I get to the paid account.

### "Perfect for social media managers"

March 22, 2022

5.0

It's great. I wouldn't be without it. As a social media manager it is hard to always keep on top of your scheduling, and it is so refreshing to see a post go out and almost forget you had done it! It makes the time you spend faffing trying to post something on time, completely go away and you have more time to think of new ideas! I love that the whole team can collaborate too.

Pros

Whether you are a newbie to the world of social media or not, Buffer has all the right tools to make your job easier. I love the fact I can schedule for weeks in advance, and on multiple platforms too. Its easy to look at, doesn't over complicate anything either!

Cons

Sometimes Buffer (like other platforms too) can get abit fuzzy pushing videos to post, its just about working out what the issue is. Once you know, you make a note and remember that sometimes it might need a bit of help along the way to ensure your post is exactly how you want it.

### "Buffer Review—Excellent tool for Productivity"

February 1, 2022

5.0

Buffer is an amazing social media organising tool. It serves as one of the best means of managing multiple social media accounts and scheduling one’s content. I highly recommend this software, for it has helped me to achieve significant post coverage and excellent skills in creating contents and growing my audience.

Pros

I like the fact that Buffer is free. I like the fact that it is easy to use. I like the fact that it has great UI and UX. I like the fact that it enhances my social media productivity. I like the fact that I can effectively use it to post my contents even when I am offline. I like the fact that I can write my contents at my convenience for them to be published. I like the fact that it has helped me to stick toward feeding my audience with numerous contents. I like the fact that I can save several contents in it, for the purpose of posting it at the appropriate time. I like the fact that it helps me to schedule blog posts and tweets to create awareness among my audience.

Cons

I observed that sometimes it either takes time to login or fail to login while trying to open the software. Perhaps it is so due to unstable network. Aside the aforementioned issue, I could not find another fault while using this software—Buffer.
