### "How can you be everywhere all at once in social media circles?"

March 21, 2026

4.0

My business is using an "everywhere, all at once" strategy to post across all social media channels and connected accounts in an effort to be where our customers want/need us when they are ready. Buffer makes it easy to schedule out a month of posts on the major socials, and the AI tool can repurpose specifically for individual channels, as opposed to just cross posting. (a different tactic). Super easy to set up and deploy, if you have a social media strategy, this simple scheduler needs to be a part of it.

Pros

Easy to use and great value for content creation, especially when deploying an "everywhere, all at once" strategy. This tool is optimized to help you expand social presence and reach fast.

Cons

The AI generation tool has a learning curve about the business, and what posts actually work. I wish it was connected to a larger, genre specific eco-sphere for training data, pulling the exact post and intel that's trending in my industry and repurposing all content to fit that trend.

### "Decent free social media tool"

August 11, 2025

4.0

Pros

Solid free option to connect 3 social platforms. Schedule content ahead of time to post across social networks.

Cons

Expensive to upgrade beyond Free offering. Free offering is limited to 3 networks. Sometimes glitchy such as scheduled posts not posting.

### "Buffer for Google my Business Page"

April 23, 2025

3.0

Overall, Buffer is an OK tool. We use it mainly for scheduling Google My Business page posts.

Pros

Buffer is a good scheduling tool for Google My Business posts and shares them across Google My Business pages, as well as other social media sites like Facebook.

Cons

Compared to other social media post scheduling and management sites, the only reason we use Buffer is to schedule Google My Business page posts. It just doesn't have as many features as say the Meta Business Suite.

### "Great Scheduler "

July 28, 2025

5.0

I found it more effective for planning posts, easier and cheaper than Hootsuite and Meta Scheduler, more features than Canva.

Pros

I appreciate the price of the paid version and the free plan that already gives 3 channels for free. It turned out easier to use.

Cons

It was easier than others but still not a LEGO brick, the saving features were not easy at all to do or to understand.

### "X thread scheduler! "

November 9, 2024

5.0

I use Buffer for one of my clients because I often have to schedule X threads. This is not something you can do via the Twitter app since it doesn't support scheduling a whole series of threads. Buffer handles this task well as well as supports all my other platforms for that client, making it the perfect place for content management. They also receive 50% off pricing since they are a nonprofit!

Pros

\- Link shortening - Content calendar - Twitter/X threads scheduling - 50% off nonprofit pricing

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about Buffer! I think it's a fabulous social media management tool!

### "Easy tool for creating and scheduling social media posts "

Overall I’m happy with Buffer, it’s simple to use but reliable.

Pros

### "More reliable than Meta Content Scheduler"

January 27, 2025

5.0

Buffer has been a great tool for scheduling content. Publishes seamlessly - less issues than with using Meta scheduler!

Pros

Love that you can manage 3 channels for free - this has been a great cost effective resource for clients who want a platform outside of Meta Business for content planning / scheduling!

Cons

Buffer has limited LinkedIn Personal analytics! However, you can connect a personal LinkedIn account if you are managing personal accounts.

### "Boosted social media planning and management."

September 8, 2025

5.0

Scheduling content on client accounts was simpler, workflows of teams were improved with approval stages, and posting at fixed intervals helped clients' social media coverage without manual daily checks.

Pros

Clean interface makes it simple to post across platforms for multiple clients, while collaboration features allow content review workflows, and bulk scheduling saves a lot of time during campaign planning phases.

Cons

Advanced analytics features are only included in higher-end plans, and some posting lag or missing posts occasionally impact client campaigns.

### "Buffer Review"

July 1, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with buffer was really great. I ended up moving to another post scheduler due to the necessity of multiple post queues, but really miss the overall ease of use with buffer.

Pros

Buffer has a very easy to use interface, and auto-scheduling and reorganizing scheduled posts is extremely easy. The workflow feels intuitive and I never had to pull out the FAQ to figure out how to do what I wanted.

Cons

The lack of ability to have multiple post scheduling queues for a single social media account. One queue works fine if you only post a single type of content, but having to manually schedule or re-organize the schedule if you have multiple post types (images, video, text, etc) gets really tedious.

### "Cool once you’re paying"

July 7, 2025

5.0

I ended up using it after trying another tool that was super expensive. I pretty much use it for all my posts, even if I could skip it for simple ones, but like, I gotta make the subscription worth it.

Pros

I like Buffer’s interface, feels cleaner than other tools I tried. What works well for me is how easy it is to hook up social media accounts.

Cons

The annoying part is if you don’t pay, better not even bother. It lets you set up everything and then when you’re ready to go, you get blocked with a payment pop-up.

### "A powerful tool for a very low price !"

September 25, 2023

5.0

Very good experience in overall, and amazing list of options available already with a free, or lowest plan account.

Pros

I am really amazed about the amount of feature that are already enable in the lowest plan that Buffer is offering. It is probably the best option for someone who want to start to work with such features, with a low budget

Cons

I rarely had cases were a post was not posting automatically as it was planned. But the only couple of times that this happened in about 2 years, I had a message immediately to inform me about it, and I could post it manually in no time...

Reason for choosing Buffer

The huge increase of the price from Later (250% increase), from one day to another, and after a few years of being their customer was a bit too much for me. When I looked into Buffer, I could have way more options for a much lower price ! I think that buffer is probably the best tool for users that are starting with small accounts, without sacrifying the options and possibilities.

Switched from

[Later Social](https://www.capterra.com/p/152254/Later/)

Later dramatically raised their price and oblige me to change my plan. I was using Later for years, with a plan of 18 dollars for 3 accounts max (I was using 2 accounts at this time). From one day to another, they told me that my plan was no longer available, and I had to change to a new plan. The new plan was (and still is) 25 Dollars per account, and with less features than my previous plan (Like 3 months of data instead of 1 year, no hashtag suggestions anymore, etc...). So an increase of 250% of the price with less features was not an option for me anymore. This is maybe fine for big accounts with big revenues, but not for small users like me...

### "Makes Social Media Easier"

January 19, 2022

4.0

After we decided to find an alternative for Later I've tried a lot of softwares for planning content for social media that would include everything we need but still would be affordable. Buffer was basically the only one that fit both of these categories. We use it for 2 years now and we are very satysfied even though there are some things that need improvement. The product is still improving and adding more feature (for example quite recently they added integration with Canva) which makes me happy to see. I had to communicate with the support a few times and they were always very nice and helpfull.

Pros

\- User friendly - Reliable auto publishing - Works with Facebook Groups as well as Pages - You can create campaigns to track all posts with some specific topic - Drafts - Includes analytics for published posts - Regular updates, improvements and new functions

Cons

\- It is not possible to set campaign in drafts so you have to remember to add it after adding in queue - Does not reccomend best time to post based on the data from published content - Can't trasnfer drafts between profiles - Missing build-in tool for cropping picture - Tagging other Facebook Sites could use some improvements, sometimes it is hard to find the right page since there are not profile pictures

Switched from

[Later Social](https://www.capterra.com/p/152254/Later/)

Later was missing some very important features for us such as tagging Facebook Pages and sharing posts with link preview instead od picture.

### "A big name that is always solid and reliable "

March 20, 2023

4.0

Overall, I've always been very happy to use Buffer. Many clients insist on using it because they're used to it and they love the analytics and metric reporting that the platform offers. When I first started working on social media, I opted for Buffer because it was the biggest name out there. However, I soon migrated to other less pricey platforms. However, some clients insist on Buffer and it isn't a problem for me because I have always found it to be reliable.

Pros

Buffer is generally easy to use and offers users a wide variety of options. There is so much support for different social media channels. Buffer always integration with not only the main channels that are popular all over. It also some of the alternative social media platforms.

Cons

Buffer - presumably because of its name and reputation in the field - charges more than many other social media management platforms out there. There are plenty of other options that are just as reliable, but less well-known. However, in paying for Buffer, you're paying for peace of mind. Another con would be that the content management can be a little difficult to organise.

### "Perfect for Big Teams"

Over it has been great. I really appreciate the customer service

Pros

That we can incporate our whole team without being overcharged for each team member! I also appreciate how easy it is to use and that they have an app. This is great for onboarding new users.

Cons

### "User-friendly but sometimes a bit clumsy "

November 6, 2023

3.0

Overall Buffer fits quite alright with the small businesses, but is definitely not a good choice for bigger companies.

Pros

Buffer offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it accessible even for beginners. I also liked the fact the platform provides content suggestions and ideas to help you create engaging social media posts. There is even a free plan option that is efficient for very small businesses and individuals.

Cons

The free plan has limited features and restrictions, so I went for the paid plan. It's still a bit clumsy sometimes, with recurrent bugs and tech issues. For example, it's very hard to post on LinkedIn (no tagging available). It's also not possible to post on Instagram.

### "Buffer | Is it any good?"

June 20, 2022

4.0

Buffer has been a positive experience for me. I've used it for multiple years, and I used the free version for over half of that time. I was pleasantly surprised by how many posts I could schedule, and how many I could schedule across platforms. This kept be for a while, but I would eventually cancel my subscription and leave Buffer when Facebook for Business (which allows access to Instagram and Facebook post scheduling) and Tweetdeck (for Twitter) allowed me to make posts across the same three platforms I had initially used Buffer for. Sure, Buffer allowed you to use them all at once from a singular 3rd party. In fact, I believe that's Buffer's appeal compared to FfB or Tweetdeck, but it is not quite as appetizing for me. This software, however, is still cheap if you're looking to spend some money ($6 a month for the starting tier), and it would allow you to easily streamline your posts into one place.

Pros

Buffer is an easy-to-use content publishing software which allows brands to schedule posts ahead of time, and to schedule posts from multiple accounts (and platforms). This is extremely useful, because you can schedule a post for Facebook to release at the same time as Instagram, and you don't have to go to either website to do it. Buffer streamlines social media posts into one complete software. I first learned about buffer nearly 5 years ago at an event. It was recommended to me by my supervisor, and I proceeded to use it to schedule promotional materials with releases of my podcast episodes. I used it for multiple years, and liked what it had to offer: The subscription tiers were cheaper than I expected, with the first starting at $6 a month. You were able to schedule up to 10 posts with 3 accounts (for the free tier) which I used for multiple years. I scheduled Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter posts 10 days in advance, and then would take a break from content production for about a week before I scheduled it again. This helped me from getting burnt out on using social media every day. The posts were easy to create, and I could schedule the same posts on different platforms at different times. I could also add photos and videos if need (for stuff like Instagram). This made it easier for me to target each separate audience on each platform and cater to the times they were more statistically likely to see my post. It genuinely helped me grow my audience.

Cons

There was a bug that, on occasion, if you saved your posts to be scheduled then the page would refresh and the post would be gone. This happened rarely, but did happen on occasion. As I've used-browser based services (Express had this issue, for example), I've found that this is a relatively common problem when a page refreshes or your internet is interrupted. I would've stayed with Buffer to this day, but Facebook for Business and Tweetdeck allowed me to schedule more posts across the same three platforms for free. Ultimately, their competition won me over by offering the same stuff I was doing, and a little extra (more posts, better statistics, access to advertisements, and more). This caused me to eventually turn away from Buffer. I hope that, every time I see an email, there's an update to bring me back. That email has yet to be sent.

### "Buffer saves more than just time. It gives peace of mind."

January 10, 2023

5.0

Pros

I love that Buffer allows me to plan my social media posts in advance to easily move them around. Compared to cancelling a post and re-writing it, it definitely save time. Moreover, Buffer is reliable and posts as scheduled with no-hassles or fear of losing work.

Cons

There isn't much to say about Buffer when it comes to negative feedback. I only have good things to say about it. But, if I had to point something out, I would say is I wish it was free but that's just asking too much. I started off using Buffer when they first started up.

### "Maximize your social media presence with Buffer"

April 13, 2023

5.0

Buffer is a fantastic tool for managing your social media content. It is user-friendly, versatile, and offers a wide range of features to help streamline your social media marketing efforts

Pros

Buffer is an excellent tool for managing social media content, it allows you to schedule posts across various social media platforms. This saves me effort and time. One of the best features of Buffer is its easy-to-use interface. The dashboard is intuitive and simple, making it easy to schedule posts and manage your social media accounts. Buffer offers a number of useful integrations with other marketing tools, such as Canva and Bitly.

Cons

While Buffer offers scheduling and publishing for a wide range of social media platforms, some platforms may not have the same level of functionality as others. For example, Instagram doesn't allow third-party tools to post directly to the platform, so Buffer has to use a workaround where it sends you a push notification to manually post the content on the app. While Buffer does offer a free plan, it has limitations on the number of social media accounts you can manage, the number of posts you can schedule, and the amount of analytics data you can access. If you want access to more features or need to manage multiple social media accounts, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan. For a small business it might not be possible

### "Simple and easy social media manager"

November 11, 2016

5.0

I'm a huge fan of Buffer (And Hootsuite), Buffer was the first social media manager I've ever used. It was easy to use and the UI was great. I use the free plan which came with 7 days (I think) to use the Pinterest feature free. I wish the free plan wasn't restricted to 10 posts per profile but I can understand the reason. There was also an image quality loss when I used buffer on my Kindle fire tablet, but their support was quick to help and while Buffer isn't natively functional on Fire, it was god to know that the customer care did all that they could to help. Buffer analytics is kind of lame, maybe it's because I'm on the free plan but I laughed when I clicked on analytics and the metrics were: Retweets, Likes, Mention, Comments, Shares, Potential' Instagram Analytics gives better stats than that One area where Buffer trumps Hootsuite is that it the free plan supports 5 social media profiles (Once again you can only use Pinterest for 7 days free but meh). I like the fact that I can set up my preferred schedule times and then when I 'Add to Queue' the posts go out at the specified time. It's like MavSocial's 'Campaign' feature. I also liked being able to Rebuffer my old posts. It kept my social media profile continually active. I mostly use Buffer connected to getcrate.co to keep my social media profiles active.

Pros

Buffer integrates nicely with softwares such as start a fire, feedly and Crate. Which are all softwares i use. This makes it easy for me to share content to my followers. It is easy to use and the freeplan supports 5 social medis networks.

Cons

The image quality loss I experienced when i used Buffer on my fire tablet. Granted Buffer on my android tablet is perfect but I wished it worked just as well as Hootsuite did.
