### "Top tier Social Media Management "

June 14, 2023

5.0

Overall it is clearly a simple, easy to use, and high end social media management tool

Pros

It is super easy to use and much more comprehensive than similar tools. Love the start page feature as well

Cons

The least liked feature was that the start page feature didn't let me customize it as much as I would have liked

### "Easy way to manage and automate your social media posts"

January 9, 2017

5.0

Buffer is awesome. I use it to manage like a dozen social media accounts, both Twitter and Facebook. It's nice because you can have various queues set up for your different accounts, and mark anything that you add to Buffer to go to specific accounts, so you can double dip your content if you want. And then have your content sent out at specific times, with images too. So it lets you "set it and forget it" for at least part of your content marketing. Another awesome thing about Buffer is the integrations. With IFTTT or Zapier, I can connect Buffer to other programs. For example, if I tag an article in Pocket with "startup", the article is automatically added to my queue for my startup related Twitter. Boom, easy way to keep fresh content going out!

Pros

Easy to use, fulfills an actual need in my content marketing system, very affordable.

Cons

I wish I could put duplicate content in the queue...

### "Buffer is quite literally the best social media management solution out there."

March 5, 2019

5.0

I have been using Buffer web app for about 6 years, their platform apps for several years and their API for about 1.5 years. I have nothing but positive things to say about the whole thing. Also, their transparency about costs and their apparently cool work culture deserves a mention . Nice job, @Buffer!

Pros

Buffer is the best social media management solution out there. I have used it on multiple devices and as a software developer, I have used the API in a handful of projects. The product is seamless and feels natural irrespective of platforms. The new Instagram integrations has helped me stay ahead of the curve.

Cons

Nothing. If I had to necessarily point something that I like a bit a lesser in comparison, I'd say it's the grayscale UI. But it makes it looks classy, so I'm not complaining.

It is really enjoyable and easy to use Buffer, while you are working for more than 1 account like in agency.

### "Buffer saves me a lot of time"

November 9, 2017

5.0

Pros

The time it saves me when sharing posts and info to my various social media accounts. The Buffer makes it easy to share from a browser or your mobile device. You can change what you say for each network too in the Buffer. For a small fee you can use multiple social media accounts too :)

Cons

The inability to tag some people when using this on mobile. For some reason the feature works on a browser but not on a mobile device. I would love to be able to tag quicker using the Buffer via my mobile device.

### "Great simple tool"

March 8, 2018

4.0

Pros

I have used Buffer for two different businesses and might start using it for myself personally soon. It's a very intuitive, user-friendly way to schedule social media posts, and even the free version of Buffer is a useful tool. Compared to Hootsuite I find Buffer to be easier to use, and easier to learn to use, as well as far more pleasant to look at. Buffer easily allows you to schedule social media posts for various media channels, and having the browser add on makes this even easier.

Cons

I've been sad to hear about the features that Buffer is removing from their free plan (previously called the Individual plan) in March of 2018. The Re-buffer option (which allowed you to easily reschedule high-performing posts that you previously posted) will no longer be available on the free plan. They've also changed their link shortening options, no longer offering bitly link shortening. This isn't a huge deal, and if you're planning to pay for Buffer anyway then it's fine. Buffer is really most useful if you pay for it anyway, since the free plan only allows you to schedule 10 posts in advance per social account. I have used both the free and paid version of Buffer, and probably will use both in the future, though I also plan to revisit Hootsuite and consider switching back.

### "Easy to use beginner's social media management tool"

January 11, 2019

5.0

This is a user-friendly tool that is ideal for beginner social media managers or business owners who want to manage their social media profiles. You get up to 3 profiles connected on the free version, which is perfect if you don't use social media that much. Even the pro version is pretty affordable for smaller budgets.

Pros

I like the ease of use. I really like the feature that you can customize your content for each platform rather than having to upload the same piece of content different ways. I also like that you can post directly onto Instagram if you have an Instagram business account. It has an emoji keyboard and the ability to geotag Instagram posts. This software is simple to use for beginners.

Cons

It doesn't have an analytics function like Hootsuite, and you can't do hashtag research. It can also be clunky when posting to Instagram and doesn't always work. You need to check after you've posted to check it's gone through.

### "My preferred social media management tool."

June 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

This is the social media mgmt software I use and recommend to clients. It makes managing multiple social media accounts and sharing with audiences super easy, without being complicated to operate. Compared to similar tools, it has an easier user interface - so, it's easy to connect your preferred social platforms, easy to schedule/publish posts for specific times and attach images or links, and easy to manage or re-arrange your queue of schedule posts. Then, when you login to your social accounts, you can focus more on interacting with followers. If you do come across something you'd like to share, it's easy to click the Buffer icon and add it to your queue. It works with pretty much all the social media platforms you'll need - Twitter, Facebook (pages and groups), Insta, Linkedin, Google+, and Pinterest. They've been improving their integration with Instagram, which was much needed. The analytics can be as simple or as detailed as you like, letting you keep track of how your content is doing and how followers are interacting with it. There's a free plan that lets you do quite a lot, but if you're going to get serious about managing your social content and tracking its success, go ahead and upgrade; it's worth it.

Cons

There's not much I don't like. As I mentioned, they've been making regular improvements to Instagram. I can't comment on the quality of their customer service as I've never needed to use it.

### "Love this platform"

January 11, 2023

5.0

Pros

I love Buffer. It's free (up to 10 posts at a time) so that's helpful as a small business owner trying to keep costs down. It's easy to use, reliable and I can coordinate across multiple platforms! Super helpful and I found it way easier to use than other products.

Cons

Selfishly, only that you can only post 10 posts at a time for the free version but I can hardly hold that against them.... at some point we need to pay for it

### "Social Managing Tool that is Essential for your Business and Saves you Time!"

November 26, 2018

4.0

Pros

As a side gig of being a Social Media Marketer and Manager, I always try to look for tools like this to make my job a little easier and alot more efficient for my clients business needs. The Buffer software helps you save time allowing you to basically buffer out content to your social medias, whether you are using twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest, etc. It will let you schedule your posts for when you want them to go out at the tie you choose. I like Buffer because not only does it do the work for you, it also helps you create a strategy with your posts for success. Another thing I like about Buffer, is that it has a feature where you can analyze the performance of your posts. So you have your very own analytics of how your posts are doing , how many people are viewing or clicking on your posts , engagement info, and more. This software lets you manage all of your social medias in one spot to share content when and whenever you want. One more thing that is pretty cool about this software, is that you can get started right away with their free plan which allows you 3 social accounts that you can manage, and schedule 10 posts per profile.

Cons

There's really not any cons, other than the fact that if you want more out of Buffer, you do have to pay for upgrades, which can optimize the effectiveness of your business needs when it comes to marketing and getting your content out to your audience in a sufficient and strategic way. It is definitely worth it for the amount of features this software provides for the free plan.

### "Best Social Media Tool"

August 13, 2019

5.0

Amazing. Best tool for analytics across multiple social accounts.

Pros

Fantastic tool - much easier to use and full of functions when compared to its well known competitors. Their broswer plugin makes post content simple - and their additional graphic tools make Buffer the must have for any social media junkey.

Cons

Was bad slightly less of an awesome program when they made it that you cant post to multiple social account the same article a few years back, but this was no fault of theirs - Twitter changed it stance.

Pros

The program, its main idea, works on scheduling all your social media accounts and publishing posts at specific times that are determined by the user and automatically... It works with an easy interface that does not take you time to learn.

Cons

### "Look busy without being busy - Buffer keeps your social balls in the air like magic"

September 7, 2018

5.0

Buffer enables me to keep a lively social presence without being online at all times. Because who wants to do that!

Pros

The ability to post to social media when I'm actually online and researching great content — without carpet-bombing my social accounts — is a game-changer. Buffer allows me to drop a bunch of content in a bucket at once, and have that content drip out on a schedule over several days or weeks. It does all this with a clean, friendly interface on a generous free plan.

Cons

I really have no complaints about Buffer. Their free plan is great and I find it really easy to use. When I use Hootsuite I feel like I'm doing paperwork. That is - not great. When I use Buffer I feel little to no pain. When pressed, I'd say Buffer can work TOO well. I forget what I've cued up for when and then things go out at times I may not be ready for. Someone may comment on a post and I'm nowhere to be found for a response. I don't feel this is unique to Buffer though - any auto-post tool can suffer this same fate.

### "Simple, Easy to Use & Keeps Improving"

September 12, 2018

5.0

I've tried a lot of social media scheduling software and I've always come back to Buffer. It's the one of the best out there in my opinion. Especially for a small non-profit. Bonus points, they give subscription discounts to non-profits!!

Pros

Dependability. I love that I can schedule all of my social media posts for the week and not have to think about it. Rarely ever is there a time where a post has an error going out and usually if it does happens, it's Facebook because sometimes she acts ups for no reason. I also love the clean, user-friendly simplicity of the site. It doesn't take a lot of effort to train other users on how to use the software.

Cons

There's not much that I don't like about Buffer. Especially not that they will automatically post to Instagram for you. That was a game changer for me, because I often overlooked the reminders it would send me to post to Instagram. They just keep improving before I have anything to complain about.

### "Buffer is the Best of the Bunch."

December 7, 2019

5.0

Overall, Buffer is the best of the bunch. They are continuously improving the software and they are very transparent about how their company works.

Pros

The team at Buffer listens to their users and makes continuous improvements to the software. I love how the calendar feature has evolved over the years.

Cons

I'm not so fond of the Big Brother element of the software that tells me that I've recently posted the same post and that it won't allow me to post again. This has made me consider dropping Buffer.

### "Easy to control all your social media pages from one place "

May 12, 2023

4.0

My experience has been great and seamless, I love the app regardless.

Pros

I can connect up to 10 social media accounts with the paid feature and up to 3 with the free feature. Very easy to use and helpful, it suggests trending hashtags you can add to your post for better performance. You can schedule posts for as long as you want and it posts to your page automatically.Great App.

Cons

Before downloading the app I was told I could connect up to six accounts with the free feature and after downloading, I could only connect three accounts with the free feature. I think they should clarify that part of their advertisement.

### "Just as good as any other Social Media Management tool"

February 1, 2019

5.0

I would recommend Buffer to anyone who needs a break from managing multiple social media accounts for a brand. Being able to seamlessly post to all of your live accounts from one place is a huge time saver and I have gone from spending 2-3 hours a week on posting to 1-hour maximum managing my posts. Small businesses may even be able to make due with the free version of buffer making it an incredible option to have one the market.

Pros

Easy to use interface The post scheduling function is very intuitive Ability to post to multiple channels and include media on twitter feed is great Very easy to change the media image used with associated links (for users of Canva or illustrator) The free version is incredibly functional and a great way to dip your toes into the software Approved by this Medium sized business

Cons

If you are unfamiliar with the software it is easy to accidentally post As with all of these softwares you can post to all channels from one location but not edit or remove Often when using the scheduling feature the software does not save your settings

### "Manage your audience on your social networks easily"

November 27, 2022

4.0

I didn't regret using Buffer. It's really cool and quite complete. Apart from its wide choice of social networks, it offers other services that are very useful for better monitoring of its performance on the web; but, for that, I advise you the paid package

Pros

Buffer is super simple to use. What's interesting is that it supports many social networks, such as Tiktok, and Pinterest. But what I like about it is that you can create a landing page, or Bitly short links, for better management of your redirects. With Buffer, you can quickly increase your turnover by properly managing your social networks

Cons

The free package is very limited, regarding data analysis and statistics

### "Best social tool around... not many services teach as well as serve. Buffer does both."

December 19, 2017

5.0

Buffer is my very own social media assistant, manager and mentor!

Pros

The problem Buffer solved was one of it's kind when it first arrived on the scene. It saved me days worth of time, money and stress in the chaotic social scene by being able to plan ahead and let it go. Since then, many similar other services have appeared offering the same solution. None of them though, offer the level of learning, advice and overall support Buffer does. Their commitment to educating users instills an unparalleled confidence in their business.

Cons

That they haven't yet managed to secure a partnership or arrangement with Instagram that would allow scheduling of Instagram posts too.

### "Entry level social media publishing platform."

December 30, 2022

5.0

Buffer is an excellent tool for coordinating entire SMM strategy and scheduling social media updates. Strongly recommended!

Pros

Buffer also has an image tool, Pablo, that allows you to simply extract photos, add text if needed, and upload them to your social network postings.New features are always being added. For example, Instagram story publishing was made available.

Cons

I wish I could link to Instagram more easily. You cannot schedule posts to be published directly on the site. You need to have the Buffer app in order to get a reminder on your phone to manually post at the designated time. I will say that Buffer makes it super easy to manually post from the app. They just copy the text, pull the image into IG and you paste the text and hit Share.Reporting is limited for Instagram, however this is the case for all social media schedulers.Although I like the streamlined look, the interface could use some colours to create better contrast.
