Our company selected Sidetrade’s Cash Application solution with the expectation that it would improve efficiency, reduce manual processing, and provide advanced automation within our order-to-cash process. We have an established credit and accounts receivable operation and were looking for technology that could further streamline our cash application workflow. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations established during the sales and evaluation process. The project was originally expected to be implemented within approximately six months. After significant time, resources, testing, and internal effort, we were still unable to achieve a successful operational go-live. To be fair, there were initial delays on our side related to internal IT resources and file-transfer setup. However, once those items were resolved, we continued to encounter issues that prevented the solution from delivering the automation and efficiencies we expected. One of our primary objectives was to significantly reduce manual cash application work. During the evaluation process, we expected Sidetrade to automate key functions, including processing payment information from our electronic payment platforms and assisting with deductions and short payments such as sales tax, freight, discounts, and other common customer adjustments. In practice, important scenarios still required significant manual review and intervention. The solution did not provide the level of automation we believed we were purchasing. A major concern was the difference between technical completion and business readiness. While certain technical milestones were achieved, such as establishing data transfer processes, that did not mean the solution was fully functional or delivering the expected business results. Successfully transferring data between systems is very different from having an operational cash application solution that reduces workload and improves efficiency. Our organization invested considerable time working through testing, configuration, and implementation. Ultimately, the product did not meet our operational requirements or provide the expected return on investment

Heard useful information, was good to meet others. It looks like Geodis doesn't have in its contract all the sections of Sidetrade, like Cash and Financial, so we couldn't comment on parts of the discussions
