Director Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "MSP360 Managed Backup Solution" September 7, 2022 4.0 I mainly use MSP360 for image backups and restores rather than having to re-install Windows from scratch. I also use the RMM tool for monitoring endpoints and remote assistance using their Connect tool. Overall my experience has been great. Support is awesome with very quick response times, especially during my trial period which was really helpful. Pros Online console provides a central place to monitor backups, change settings etc. Saves having to log on to each end point separately. Their online console also integrates nicely with their RMM tool which I also use. The ability to be able to restore a computer image remotely from cloud storage is a life changer for me. Granted, the end user has to boot using the recovery USB and only LAN connections are supported at present but it's an awesome feature. Compatibility with Wasabi, AWS and B2 cloud storage should cover most bases for most people. Cons Not being able to use the wi-fi connection on an endpoint when using the boot USB to remote restore an image is a bit of a pain as not all endpoints have access to a LAN connection. CEO Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "There is backup, and there is cloudberry backup" January 20, 2018 5.0 When you want to backup your information, computers, servers, NAS, and make it so that it is not that expensive, there is simply no better option out there. Pros I really don't know the story of this company, but it feels like they have been around forever, they absolutely know everything about backup!!! They are extremely good, one of the few that connects with backblaze b2, it is such a nice thing to work with them, their support exceeds every expectation... there is just not a single bad thing one can say about this company. Everything they do is smart and well thought out. And you have so many extras like webinars where they explain everything. You can't go wrong with them! Cons There is nothing not to like, even the price is awesome, the only issue is that you have to pay for the licenses upfront and only on a year per year basis. Pros Once setup and configured its very easy to use. Restoring data is very easy. Updates have improved the system and mase it easier to use along the way. Cons It took some getting used to and experimenting to figure out some of the settings and features. Although I'm putting that under "Cons" I don't think that's any different than would be expected from every different system. Pros Easy and effective, too much information in their Youtube channel. Cons Cost. Expensive for some features and other apps like cloud berry backup, cloudberry explorer, MSP360 backup. etc. Reason for choosing MSP360 Backup Their sales force its good. You can run File-Level Backup and Virtual Machine Backup also which is a great advantage, you can cover your backup in different levels. Cons This has been a bad experience when I tried to recover for the first time in a real situation and I was not able to do it. I called the support and they just said that there was a bug in the system and it was not possible run the restore. I tried to recover 2 files from a VM backup and the support told me that I had to recover the whole VM which was totally crazy. That was one year ago, and I am still waiting for a solution. Many, many different backup services and methods supported. Supports encryption before uploading to cloud. Cons The only real issue I've ever had with the product was how it dealt with failures (or rather, didn't) when backing up to a local SMB fileshare and there was an issue on the local disk. I eventually figure out what the issue was, but it would have been nice had the product provided a little more details about what was happening in this situation rather than saying it failed to back up particular files. Pros The cost for what you get is undeniable. You get all the industry features needed to provide backup and disaster recovery solutions for your clients. We have also had success in recovering data for clients which is the most important during a ransomware attack or data loss. Cons The interface to manage costs and licenses could be better. Also, there could be some improvement on recovering data from the cloud console! I'm also about to set it up for my Father for his backups. I backup to Wasabi storage (highly recommended) for cheap, fast, reliable backups for my entire household! Pros Basically once it's setup all I have to do is keep an eye on the email alerts for possible issues and it just works! Cons It does occasionally suffer from a few small bugs, but that's the beauty with MSP360; the support is awesome!
