### "Hackerrank for Accenture SG Interns are good!"

April 29, 2026

5.0

Lastly, the immediate feedback and detailed test case results are especially valuable. Being able to see where your solution fails and iterate quickly helps reinforce learning and improve coding skills efficiently.

Pros

What stood out most about using HackerRank is how practical and job-relevant the experience feels. The platform focuses on real-world coding challenges rather than purely theoretical questions, which makes it a strong indicator of actual problem-solving ability. What stood out most about using HackerRank is how practical and job-relevant the experience feels. The platform focuses on real-world coding challenges rather than purely theoretical questions, which makes it a strong indicator of actual problem-solving ability.

Cons

While HackerRank is great for structured assessments, some challenges feel more like puzzle-solving than real-world coding, and clearer problem statements or more transparent test cases would improve the experience.

### "Very Satisfied with our Partnership with HackerRank!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with HackerRank has been exceptionally positive. We feel very confident in the product, and the HackerRank team enables us to get the best use out of the partnership.

Pros

We absolutely love the support we get when working with the HackerRank team. We've been working with \[sensitive content hidden\] for years now, and we are not shy about telling her that she is one of our favorite vendors to work with. \[sensitive content hidden\] goes out of her way to ensure we are fully informed on new offerings and opportunities to take advantage of. The HackerRank team is dedicated to making sure we are satisfied with their product. We had a few questions about a new offering recently, and their team offered to hold a session to walk our team through a demo and hold a Q&A to ensure we felt enabled and empowered!

Cons

There's nothing that we would categorize as "disliking" about HackerRank. We have thoroughly enjoyed our partnership so far.

### "HackerRank is a great resource for tech screening"

April 20, 2026

5.0

Prior to HackerRank, I had been utilizing at-home coding assignments that were usually returned by the recruiter days later, or conducting remote screen-share based interviews where the bulk of the interview was spent troubleshooting each candidate's development environment. With HackerRank, this is eliminated. All candidates receive the same environment/development tools and the interviewer/focus remains on the candidate's ability to solve the problem and not on the tooling issues.

Pros

Their use of a two-window interface (the problem statement is shown in one window and your coding environment is shown in another) is very helpful; as opposed to switching tabs trying to recall how the question asked. Their multi-lingual capabilities are good too. I have completed assessments using both Python and SQL without having to set anything up. Their code execution speed is also quite good. There is no delay waiting for results.

Cons

There is however a noticeable delay after submitting the solution. You can complete the assessment with a few seconds remaining, submit, and then the system will sit idle processing while your timer continues to run and I am still not certain if this may have negatively impacted my performance on a few of the questions. Some assessments are given significantly more time than others. This would be a preference issue for many people.

### "Outstanding Partnership and Value"

February 27, 2026

5.0

Hugely positive. The team are great and very responsive, they are as invested as we are to innovate and overcome challenges and this makes for a fantastic partnership. Working with them has allowed us to run new processes, have reliable data to back up changes and trust in what we are trying to build - together. Excellent value for money, helping us to save vast amounts whilst not faltering on quality.

Pros

How it enabled us to scale and to improve our processes. The platform is incredibly easy to navigate and use. It gives us a great window into how someone will perform in their interviews and shifting to live coding interviews has been game changing.

Cons

In the interviews the video aspect isn't great and could potentially be smoother if it ran through Google Meet instead.

One of the best product for tech screening to aid rapidly growing tech industry. The continuous improvement within the platform where they keep on adding new features to tackle the real workd challenges and making the product sufficient enough to ensure the right quality is being assessed is commendable. ### "A Solid Platform for Interview-Ready Coding Practice"

February 17, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with HackerRank was very positive. The platform offers a wide range of well-structured problems and realistic coding challenges that helped me sharpen my problem-solving skills and write more efficient, edge-case-aware code. The instant feedback and test cases made it easy to iterate and improve quickly. While some problems felt more algorithmic than practical, the overall experience was effective preparation for technical interviews and a good way to stay sharp.

Pros

I liked HackerRank most for its realistic, well-structured problem sets and timed challenges that mirror real interview scenarios. The platform’s test cases and constraints push you to write efficient, production-quality code, not just “passable” solutions.

Cons

The in-browser editor and environment can feel limiting compared to a local setup with proper tooling, tests, and debugging. It’s great for standardization, but not always how I’d work in production.

### "Capterra-HackerRank Feedback Review"

May 28, 2026

4.0

My overall impression of the HackerRank experience is that it’s a strong technical screening platform with clear strengths for scalability and consistency, but it also has noticeable limitations from the candidate perspective. On the positive side: The platform is polished and easy to use technically Coding environments are generally reliable Assessments are fast to deploy Recruiters can evaluate large numbers of candidates efficiently Live coding and automated scoring make remote hiring much easier For companies hiring at scale — especially internships, campus recruiting, and junior engineering roles — it’s easy to see why HackerRank is widely adopted. From the candidate side, though, the experience is more mixed: Some challenges feel overly focused on algorithm tricks Problem wording can be unnecessarily complex Timed assessments create pressure that may not reflect real engineering work Hidden test cases can feel frustrating or opaque A recurring feeling among experienced developers is that success on HackerRank often depends as much on “interview-style coding practice” as on actual software engineering ability. Overall, the platform is generally viewed as: very effective for early-stage filtering, reasonably fair when used carefully, but not sufficient by itself to evaluate engineering talent comprehensively. The most successful hiring processes usually combine HackerRank with: practical interviews, architecture discussions, pair programming, or project-based evaluation.

Pros

Speed and efficiency in hiring,Large question library,Customizable assessments,Built-in live coding interviews,Objective scoring,Good developer environment,Scales well for campus and bulk hiring.

Cons

Overly wordy or unclear problem statements,Too focused on algorithm puzzles,Timed pressure can feel artificial,Hidden test cases frustration,Occasional platform/editor issues.

Pros

### "nice UI to pair for coding interviews"

December 9, 2025

4.0

I am quite happy of the product. It allows to coding in pairing during interviews for example. It works well for me.

Pros

I like that HackerRank Developer Skills Platform offers support for many languages, which is really helpful for diverse coding interviews. The platform allows code to be run with low response time, which enhances the efficiency of the interview process. I also appreciate the shared platform, allowing both the interviewer and interviewee to work together. Features like the common screen make it possible to follow what the interviewee is doing, which is important during interviews. The platform also supports code editing collaboration, autocomplete, compilation checks, and code execution, making the interviewing experience smooth and interactive. The initial setup was easy to understand, making it accessible without a steep learning curve.

Cons

I can't think at anything as of now. The product works well. I am satisfied of all functional and non functional aspects.

### "Great experience"

October 8, 2025

5.0

Pros

What I liked most about HackerRank is its hands-on approach to learning and assessment. The platform offers a wide range of real-world coding challenges that help me improve problem-solving skills, practice different programming concepts, and benchmark my abilities against a global community of developers.

Cons

What I liked least about HackerRank is that some challenges can feel overly rigid, with strict input/output formats and constraints that may not fully reflect real-world coding scenarios. While this structure is useful for standardized assessment, it can sometimes limit creative problem-solving.

Recently featured certificate programs have made the portal more competitive, thus influencing everyone for happy coding.

Cons

There are some problem statements on the advanced level where the results produced by your program are correct and matches with the expected results but seems that you dont get points. And their response to suggest edits didnt happened.

### "Great site to keep your skills up"

April 18, 2019

I really enjoy HackerRank. I like how it's a go at your own pace learning tool with down negative side effects to use. I suggest you use it if you are looking to learn, get new ideas, or just keep up skills in languages you don't often use.

Pros

I like that it is free of course, but also that you are able to keep your skills up on languages you do not use regularly, or give yourself new challenges and ideas. Also, in terms of ease of use, the site works great. It's easy to use, and easy to learn how to program in. Sometimes they'll even email you a challenge. Such a great site!

Cons
