Comments: Namely needs to stop building new features, fix the ones they have, and build better internal processes. The dysfunction they are experiencing internally is extremely apparent to clients.

Pros: In comparison to other all-in-one HRIS systems, the interface is a lot more friendly. It marries the concept of social media newsfeeds with HR, allowing employees to comment on each other's birthdays and anniversaries. This gives HR an opportunity to engage employees with a fresh approach to benefits, payroll, and compliance.

Cons: I'm unsure of the experience of other customers, but the concept of Namely never took hold for our organization. Beginning at implementation, the Namely team was disorganized and unstable. Implementation was scheduled to wrap up October 1 and wasn't completed until January. During that time, Namely's implementation team experienced turnover 3 times, each time having to reset our implementation schedule. Information was missed, uploaded incorrectly, recreated, etc... They missed the ACA filing deadline and we had to work with an outside vendor with additional costs. They filed our taxes incorrectly and this still has not been resolved. On the benefits side, the agent assigned to our team miscalculated the rates from the plan we chose. According to the rates on the spreadsheet, we chose this particular carrier because it seemed these were the best rates and value. We had our open enrollment meetings and an employee pointed out that the numbers were incorrect, that she would be paying up some amount more per month. We had the agent resend us the sheet, we broke down the formulas, and identified the incorrect formula. Thankfully, our agent forgot to submit our enrollment form and we missed the deadline with the carrier. The integration with Adobe Sign has never been successful, so we have not had a single successful Onboarding through Namely. Instead of fixing glitches in the systems, they have built around them which makes it less intuitive (ex. build a new hire's profile including payroll info, send the onboarding packet, then after the new hire starts, go back into the profile to add the payroll group. When I asked why we weren't able to add the payroll group while we are adding payroll info at the start, they explained the glitch.) Compared to other systems, reports have a long way to go. Most come back blank after being ran. We have experienced more turnover in Namely's account managers. With all of the errors and issues we have needed to remedy, we simply did not have time to encourage use of the system. The time off app crashes, so we have lost engagement in the system. Rather than risk any further damage to the organization, we have implemented BambooHR (which is wonderful) and now let Namely sit silently in the background. It has been costly and frustrating, for the admin as well as the employees.

Not your typical Payroll software, so no more dreading the use of it!

Pros: The ease of use, customizable reports in format pdf or Excel, and it even looks appealing to work in.

Cons: I have to manually input PTO for new hires, or when someone moves to next tier of years of service. The numerous email alerts you get for any employee change request (ie: address; title change; Raise, etc...) gets annoying, yet to confirm that I sent off the payroll submission, I don't receive any.

Overall: I used to dread doing payroll, because the system we were using was not user friendly and extremely time consuming and cumbersome. Now, with Namely, I can input information into the HRIS system, and it feeds right over into Payroll; so no more double entering! Namely does not look like a typical boring old spreadsheet. The system is easy to read, with nice use of color, and some areas even customizable w/ our own graphics and pictures. It's nice to work in software with some personality. We can now onboard our new hires using Namely, which allows the new employee to fill in tedious personal information, leaving me, the administrator, only a few areas that I have to input myself. It is a definite time saver for sure! I love the fact that Namely allows us to customize reports, but sometimes I feel that this is one area that isn't as easy to figure out. Some reports can only be created by a Namely Rep, and other reports can be created by us. I can't always figure out which filters to use, or how to complete a report exactly the way I want to use it. This may be more user error, and not entirely Namely's fault. I will say that the Namely Reps/Support do come to my aid every time, and I do get the reports or answers I need rather quickly. We like the fact that employees can do open enrollment/life change events, right through Namely, which removes Human Resources from having to enter everyones selections manually ourself. Namely had a few glitches with it this last year, but part of it was also a communication problem from the Insurance Company side. Namely has been in contact with us about working on this problem throughout the year, so I'm now worried about it now. I do not dread having to go into Namely to update or enter something. I do not dread doing payroll, because if I have to fix something in an employee's profile, deductions, taxes, etc... it's only a click away, and then I can get right back to completing payroll. It's very easy! Namely really does reduce the amount of work HR has to do: 1) by allowing employees (active or termed) access to their W2's and/or changing their address 2) supervisors requesting Raises and Promotions now go through Namely and not a silly group email train 3) I said it earlier, but having Namely take care of Open Enrollment/Insurance deductions so no manual entry needed. I hope you can see that Namely is not your typical Payroll/HRIS software, but has personality, ease of use, and quality customer service!

Recommendations to other buyers: I can't say enough about the ease of use of this software. I really appreciate that!

Pros: ser friendly. Easy to navigate through the website and very easy to run custom reports in the HRIS side. We are also utilizing their on-boarding, performance management and benefits enrollment features to save the company time as well as to reduce paperwork.

Cons: Biggest concern is that the Payroll module is as robust as Namely claims it to be. The report writer is limited and there are manual double entries that you need to do to if you are tracking PTO as well as other information using their HRIS module. We ended up purchasing their Namely Time module because the web-clock and PTO Tracking in their HRIS module is very limited; the web-clock is unable to round worked hours as we track employee hours worked in 15 minute increments and PTO Tracking was not accruing the correct amount of sick and vacation balance for the employees which caused us to manually track PTO for 6 months on a spreadsheet. Even with the Namely Time module, it does not fully integrate with Namely Payroll, therefore, all accrued vacation and sick balances does not feed over and we are not able to show the accrued balances on employees¿ pay-stubs which is required by law in California. We have NOT been in compliance for over 10 MONTHS .

Overall: We are trying to minimize paper clutter and store information digitally which is one of the reasons why we chose Namely. On-boarding process is much more automated as you can upload all required documents into a template and have new employees complete them using e-signature. Performance Management feature makes it very easy to keep track of everyone¿s progress and manage from the administrative side. Benefits Open Enrollment is now automated and employees will be accountable for making changes or selecting new coverage.

Pros: I love how customizable Namely is.

Cons: They haven't rolled it out yet but, I'm excited to be able to report on any and every field in Namely in one report and I'm hopeful that we'll be able to do document signing for current employees one day.

Overall: We signed up for Namely in the Fall of 2014. We started with the HRIS and benefits for just flex spending. Being in HR, it was wonderful to be able to customize Namely's platform to include the data that we wanted to track and provide. For employees, it was a game changer because they now had access to information they had never had before (such as a clear salary and bonus history). In January 2015 we launched payroll with two of our smaller entities. Employees found Namely easy to log into and the paystubs were clear and easy to read. In the Fall of 2015 we added all of our benefits into Namely and did our full open enrollment. It was amazing for both employees and HR. HR loved that there was no paper to track and it was easy to see where everyone was in regard to the open enrollment process. Employees appreciated being able to log in from anywhere and how easy the system was to navigate. We also started using the Onboarding feature and it has saved employees and HR so much time. Now, employees are able to fill out all of their new hire and benefits information before their start date. We've seen the turnaround time decrease dramatically! All around, Namely has been extremely helpful for employees, HR, and payroll. And, if anyone asked, I would absolutely recommend Namely!

Comments: A couple of years ago I sat in my office after getting off the phone with our previous HR software support team. I was angry at the 72 hour turn around time and then it hit me. I don't have to put up with this. I began my journey to find a replacement HR/Payroll platform. I didn't want to be held back by so-called "turn around time" ever again. Demo after demo I battled through all the fluff of the so called superb platforms on the market, then I threw on the brakes. I stumbled on this company called Namely that looked familiar to social media that I frequent. It looked so simple, could this be the one? I signed up for the demo prepared to be disappointed by a flashy sight with no power behind it and awful customer service, but then it happened. I found the ONE. So simple, yet very powerful and the customer service was off the chart (from another planet). We took a leap and implemented Namely's HR and Payroll platform. I dreaded to hear employee feedback and was terrified to reach out to customer support. Employee feedback started to roll in, what? they actually love it and it's easy to use. I never dreamed I would receive so much positive feedback from employees, but I did and still do. Then came the day I had to contact customer support. I was blown away by the quick and courteous support I received. I was in awe. This is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't believe it. An HR platform that employees love, HR and Payroll managers love to use, and quick and courteous support. Namely will allow us to grow To Infinity and Beyond! We love Namely!

Pros: Employees and Managers love the look, feel and ease of use. The platform is very customize able and the reporting is very powerful. From on-boarding to termination, Namely has what it takes to get the job done. Their open API is a huge plus allowing integration with almost any vendor.

Cons: The calendar could be more powerful and the file storage could use a makeover, but you can't lose with this platform. They are continuously listening to users and making improvements.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are not happy with your current HR/Payroll platform you definitely need to give Namely a look.

Pros: I love all the integration between their HR and Payroll platforms. Namely is truly a one stop shop when it comes to an all around HR/Payroll platform.

Cons: It's hard to say anything negative about the platform. It was up and running and ready to go from the start. The customer service has been excellent. There have been mostly positive experiences so far.

Overall: From the beginning, Namely has been fast, easy, yet very powerful. This platform looks and feels like social media sites, but in the background (or under the hood) is very powerful technology that allows both employers and employees simplify their work life. For the employer there are very powerful reporting and communication tools. The benefit management, on boarding, and performance reviews are a breeze. Throw in payroll and you have an unstoppable platform that knocks out the competition. The employee enjoys the ease of being up to date with company announcements. The calendar is excellent and allows managers to make sure coverage is where it is needed at the click of the mouse. Namely eliminates all the headaches of paperwork with their benefit management and benefit partners. Namely's customer service is light-years ahead of the competition. If you haven't done it yet DEMO Namely. Your life will be changed forever!

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are having trouble choosing a software definitely view a demo. Then ask to speak with some real people who use Namely in their organization everyday and get their take on the platform.

Pros: The platform is very easy for employees and site admins to navigate. It's intuitive. It promotes self-service so employees can update their personal information, with an easy click they can request and their manager can approve PTO, they can easy view important company information (employee handbook, their w2, summary plan descriptions, etc). Once set up, onboarding new hires is super easy and quick and done within the Namely system. The mobile app is easy to use. We love that our distributed workforce can view their co-workers birthdays and work anniversaries and we can disseminate info via the facebook like newsfeed. It helps everyone feel more connected even though they are spread out around the country.

Cons: They are still working to auto-sync some remaining fields from the HRIS to payroll side of the platform (like EEOC/Job Category and Ethnicity info) for easy EEO-1 reporting.

Overall: Namely has been a great decision for our company that wanted to house Payroll, Benefits and HRIS under one roof. We selected them due to the ease of use of the platform for the site administrators as well as our employees and felt they would be able to meet the needs of our growing company. The service that Namely's staff has provided is great. If evaluating vendors for another company, I would choose to select and implement Namely again.

Recommendations to other buyers: I evaluated a lot of Payroll, Benefits & HRIS vendors and it was a great decision to go with Namely.

Pros: One stop solution. Web-based. Simple and clean design.

Cons: Wish we had a little more control over naming some of the tabs and folders.

Overall: We found Namely after scouring the market for a solution that was simple, connected, available 24/7, and offered one attractive place for us to do People work the way we want to do it. We found Namely and have been pleasantly surprised at every stage. First, we added the HR solution. We jumped at the chance to try the Onboarding and eSignature features. We have just decided to implement Payroll and Benefits.

We love the Namely team! They are by far the most responsive and helpful people we work with. The online HELP tool means we get answers quickly.

Features get updated regularly and Namely really listens to we users when we ask for new features / changes to the software.

I love Backstage Pass where I can connect with other Namely users and get tips.

We use Namely for so many thing that used to require separate and manual solutions (org charts, employee photos, performance reviews, multi-tiered goals, news feed, calendar, etc.).

There is a bit of a learning curve for employees who expect things to be complex and cumbersome based on past experience with ADP and other vendors. When they see how simple Namely is, they are shocked. It's fun to see their lightbulb moments and hear "that's all I had to do?".

;-)

Recommendations to other buyers: Dive in. While it may seem easier to implement one module at a time, I wish we'd done it all at once.

Comments: We transferred HRIS from Zenefits to Namely and we couldn't be happier. From the beginning, the implementation managers were concise, responsive and thorough in setting expectations, providing a clear roadmap and answering all questions. Our Account Manager has exceeded all expectations with his detailed knowledge of all of Namely's products, acute attention to detail, responsiveness and awesome personality.

Namely's product fits our company of 84 (we were 54 when we made the transition). Their on-boarding feature is so customizable and user friendly, we were able to consolidate our on-boarding process and automate a lot of moving pieces. We have launched performance reviews and employee engagement surveys using the performance tools and are big fans of the process and capabilities. Namely's performance tool has the capability of pulling established goals into each performance review which makes it extremely easy to track performance and goal attainment.

The reporting feature is awesome because we can go in and run any type of report we need to where as in Zenefits, not all of the data was readily available to run a self report, it was funneled through the account manager.

We use a variety of Namely's products but we are most impressed with the level of communication Namely provides. From our Account Manager to Namely's Product team, the communication is constant. It is obvious the internal communication within Namely is very positive and fluent - our Account Manager asks for feedback on features and it is clear the feedback is relayed to the Product and Eng teams.

Overall, we made the right decision to transition and are extremely happy with this service/product.

Comments: They took on our benefits brokerage services in the middle of a renewal season when we were struggling with an unreliable broker we've had for years. They came in and negotiated down rates for us, set up new plans, working with our insurance carriers and got us everything ready in time for open enrollment. Unbelievable effort - Namely hires outstanding talent and their benefits team works wonders!

Pros: Aside from having every tool an HR/Payroll dept needs integrated and working together, the best part about Namely is their customer service. Each client has an individual client partner instead of an 800 number and a case ID. That's made all the difference - instead of going thru prompts and re-describing the problem to a different CSR each time you call in, your partner knows you and your company and always responds quickly. Outstanding customer focus!

Cons: Nothing, they're exactly what we were looking for and more. If I were looking for a new system, I would implement Namely again.

Pros: *Great way to integrate an HRIS system and payroll on one platform. *Simple and easy interface for users. Very similar to Facebook in design and functionality. *Lots of great workflows to utilize to eliminate pen and paper documents. *Namely did fully refund us our money after our implementation was handled very poorly.

Cons: Phew, my boss and I had problems with our Namely implementation from the beginning. It seems that the company was undergoing a lot of turnover and restructuring during our implementation, and we felt it. There would be weeks when we would hear no communication from our lead implementation specialist. My boss thought he had quit or had been let go and had to write a strongly worded email before we got a response back. Our Namely benefits specialist then made an error with an algorithm she was using to calculate benefits costs during our open enrollment in November. If hadn't caught the error, our company would have lost thousands of dollars. We have had numerous issues with payroll since open enrollment and have cycled through several specialists since. Last week, my boss and I decided we have had enough and are moving to another HRIS system.

Pros: I mostly love being able to have HR, benefits and payroll information all in one spot! Of course Namely is not the only program which can handle these processes, but I do find Namely very flexible and capable of handling all our needs.

Cons: We may be unique, but we do value anonymity in our review process. I do wish the review program settings could be set at the company level so that all managers could initiate the process in the same manner. without my needing to ensure it is handled in the same way each time. I've communicated our need and I'm sure Namely is assessing to see if this is something other companies could use as well.

Overall: We love Namely for our HR, benefit and payroll administration. And our employees enjoy the social feed area as well. The site is flexible, easy to use and we get wonderful support from our Namely team!

Recommendations to other buyers: Be sure to check out Namely before making any final choices on new HR, benefits or payroll software.

Comments: Checking in after a full year of using Namely and still extremely happy with their solution and service team. My account manager Jonathan Velez is simply put, AWESOME! It's obvious that others there are seeing the same level of satisfaction with Namely, but I can also vouch that after one year in, the service remains amazing. Keep it up Namely!

My favorite feature of Namely is easily the design and functionality. The "social-media...esque" feel of Namely makes it very easy to use, and our people (who are primarily Millennials) engage with it. We use several different applications on a daily basis, so having yet another tech tool for HR meant that we wanted to make it as friendly and accessible as possible for our team.

Companies spend so much on technology that never gets used, and Namely combats this perfectly with its smooth UI/UX. Finally, it's also very powerful, i.e., meaning that it doesn't lose functionality nor reporting capabilities due to it's ease of use. Namely to HR is akin to Tesla to Automotive!

Our company has grown substantially in the last year, and we wanted to set up a solid HRIS foundation to support future growth. Namely has allowed us to keep all HR data centralized and secure, while also automating our performance review cycle. Namely truly supports my role as an HR Department of ONE! So I might be pretty biased ;)

Namely Pros

Namely provides an easy-to-use platform for HRIS that increases engagement for users. They totally understand what I believe many people feel is frustrating about enterprise-level HRIS/HRM systems, and completely combat those aspects.

Namely balances the soft and beautiful UI with very robust and powerful reporting and functionality. If you need to run any report, you can customize to extreme levels of detail.

Namely integrates all tactical HR processes in one platform! They have a solid payroll bureau, benefits admin, and a performance management tool that allows features and benefits which are typically only found in stand-alone solutions.

Finally, Namely has insanely great customer service! A very Zappos-esque approach to service delivery, all the way from initial pre-sales to implementation, to daily use and maintenance.

Pros: The clean and easy-to-use interface helps me in onboarding, payroll, etc. and reduces the need to always work through software with employees (plus, there are training resources for basic tasks). The payroll module is straight-forward and easy to use - I spend minimal time running payroll, and if there is an issue, Namely is quick to respond. The customer service I've received has been top notch - we have one point of contact for HR/payroll and they help get answers when needed. We also use their benefits which helps simplify things as well (and great customer service there too!).

Cons: No major complaints - sometimes there are very (very) specific features we're interested in - there's often work-arounds or it is on the list of potential adds. The performance management module is very customizable and is included - but still could use a little work to be on par with stand-alone performance management products (but is still an excellent product!).

Comments: Overall, it's a great HRIS, and a great company. Namely is constantly updating the system and releasing new features. The support team is top notch and is always happy to help in anyway they can. Namely may be missing some features or some may need to be updated, but the interfaces and the support plus the fact that they are dedicated to releasing features that are requested really make it a top HRIS system.

Pros: Easy to use for Employees, Managers, and Admins. The interfaces are elegant, clean, and very intuitive. The ability to automate tasks or delegate tasks that used to be a burden has freed up time for Managers and HR admins. Having everything all in one creates an easy experience for our employees. The ability to use the Open API allowed us to automate our employee data flow out to different parts of the company and keep our systems all in sync.

Cons: Missing some features you might get from an older HRIS, Payroll, or Benefit system. While the time feature allows a lot of customization, it can be burdensome to use and navigate.

Comments: Namely has been instrumental in taking our HR department to an elevated level in managing data, engaging our employees, and taking us from a purely paper process for conducting employee performance reviews to an entirely automated system. The best part about this platform is the fact that it combines Performance Reviews, PTO Management, Payroll, Benefits, all into one system that works seamlessly with each other. I love that Namely always takes client suggestions, I have experience them making many changes and developments based on client feed back. It's awesome to know your ideas are used to help improve the product!

Pros: The customer service for Namely is incomparable, we know if we have any issue or questions would we have a direct line of contact with our account manager who always helps us solve this problem. He is an asset to me as we implement different Namely modules and I have never been to find a question that he was not able to answer. I have worked with companies who hand you off to any available account manager not the case with Namely, it's so comforting to always talk to an advocate who you trust.

Cons: One minor improvement I would like is In the Company Organizational chart, It would be more convenient to have the people tiles move by dragging clicking. Currently the employees have to be set by associating to who they directly report to which is important, but it also would be nice to quickly move employees if they were to change a position or if you wanted to put your Organizational chart in a particular sequence. The reporting could be developed more, I would like to see improvements on the functionality on how reports are built.

Pros: Easy to use, easy to navigate

Cons: The compensation portion could be a bit more robust in terms of tracking changes to salaries after reviews.

Overall: Our company has been using Namely for a little over a year now, and we've been very satisfied with our experience so far. Their customer service is practically unparalleled, they go above and beyond to help guide us in our usage, and interacting with their employees has been uniformly great. The system itself is robust, we are able to quickly pull many different reports with ease, run complex annual performance reviews, track our time off and much more with no hiccups. What helped us to make our decision to choose Namely was how simple it was for our employees to use it, it's a modern design and if you can navigate Facebook, you can certainly navigate Namely. I definitely recommend Namely to any small to medium business, it's been a wonderful experience!

Recommendations to other buyers: As a tech organization, our employees have high standards for how systems should work, from our executive team down, there has been great satisfaction from what it's enabled us to achieve.

Pros: Namely is fairly intuitive. Most employees have not needed much in the way of training or tutorials and they like the eases of use and the user interface. It can be customized fairly well and the team and account reps are always available to help. I also love how it integrates so many HR functions under one roof and all are done well.

Cons: One minor drawbacks on time off reports is you cannot run a report to see vacation balances as of a certain day in the past (or future) - it is only current. Also, navigating is a bit clunkier than I'd like - there are no dynamic searches and you cannot jump from a Teams page for one employee to a Teams page for another employee with one click.

Pros: Customizable; modern; streamlined

Cons: Ad hoc (sometimes it feels like new features or functionality is tacked on); inconsistent (sometimes, the product doesn't work as described)

Overall: I work for a nonprofit organization with more than 60 employees in over 20 states (we're a remote workforce), and we began using Namely after leaving a different software in the summer of 2016. I struggled to decide between a three and four-star review. For now, I'm going with a three, but I reserve the right to revise upward or downward in future weeks and months.

Our sales and introductory phase with Namely was excellent. We learned a lot about the product and Namely's offerings, and, obviously, our organization was sold. As I've seen noted in some other reviews, there were problems with our implementation. Our payroll was set up incorrectly, even though Namely had payroll registers to model on, and that error resulted in the underpayment of taxes. To Namely's credit, they put a lot of work in to correct the issue and file amendments, but it was disappointing that poor implementation resulted in something like that. We've also had spotty responsiveness and support, but that has improved as the kinks have gotten worked out (which is somewhat backward to what you, as a customer, might want).

Outside of the implementation and responsiveness, we love the platform. I love that we have so much control over payroll (that wasn't the case with other software), and the HRIS side of things is much more sleek, streamlined, and easy to understand.

In summary, I would say our relationship and experience is improving over time, but there's still some damaged trust and suspiciousness after the rocky implementation.

Pros: As an HRIS Namely is as good as it gets. After using many other platforms in the past, I can say that Namely provides an easy to use platform that works out of the box but offers a great deal of customization to fit your workflows. They are constantly releasing new features and improvements that are visible and useful with a support staff that is always ready to help.

Having HRIS, Payroll and Benefits in one place and dedicated client rep and dedicated benefits rep is definetely hard to beat.

Cons: Integration between payroll and HRIS is a work in progress that still needs work. I am confident they will continue to improve it moving forward.

Pros: Ease of use and modern platform that is easily recognizable for employees and managers.

Cons: There needs to be more integration between the different modules (HR & Payroll), but this is something that is on their roadmap. I'm already seeing improvements after being in the software for a couple of months.

Overall: Namely provides a software package that covers the essential needs of any HR department, including HRIS, payroll and benefits administration. HRIS is easy to use and logical from both an administrator and self-service perspective. Payroll is quick to run and has one of the fastest processing times I've seen. Benefits just work. Lots of options to meet your needs from the benefits side with great transparency for employees to understand the total cost of benefits provided to them.

It's important to realize that Namely is a newer entrant to the HR software arena. You will not find the level of complexity and advanced options available through some of the larger legacy systems out there, but there is no software bloat in the Namely system either. The company is continually enhancing their products and provides updates on their software roadmap up to 18 months out, which I have never seen an HR software company do before. This level of transparency really helps to build confidence that this is a company that is open to feedback and acts quickly to ensure they are providing their clients with the best system out there.

Recommendations to other buyers: Understand that this is newer software and it is essential to voice your feedback. They are very responsive and will let you know upfront if your feedback/request is on their upcoming list of enhancements or not.

Pros: Clean look & easy to use (for admins & employees). Truly an all in one platform that makes HR's life much easier & more organized. My favorite features are: payroll (it's a breeze), onboarding (drastically improved new hire experience & internal document storage), benefits administration (easy to use for admin & employees). Constantly rolling out new products based on customer feedback! Amazing and kind support team that is always available by phone and email for questions!

Cons: Like any HRIS, it takes time and a dedicated HR individual or team to get it up and running because it's so customizable. The pay off is well worth it though!

A great product for the price.

Pros: There are so many HRIS and payroll products on the market, that it was great to find one that did both really well several years ago. And there have been numerous improvements since-an onboarding feature, updated performance management, the API is more user friendly, and there are API connections with several other softwares we use.

Cons: There are some intuitive changes that are happening in the product, such as improving the the reporting functions, title changes, and salary increase sections.

Overall: To have a one-stop location for PTO, performance management, payroll, onboarding, birthdays and anniversaries, salaries, and reporting makes our lives much easier .

Pros: Allows us to have a paperless on boarding! The team/org. charts, reporting, time off management and performance platform.

Cons: Payroll needs more work.

Overall: Hi, we've been using Namely for the past year and it's been fun implementing the system and building out our new processes within the system. There have been a couple of challenges, but I think it's because the company is still growing. I believe they are aware of the issues and are trying their best to fix them. I like that they seem to be transparent, they continuously keep us clients informed about releases and updates. They know that they must get payroll running smoothly (which is where we have the most issues). Payroll still needs work but it's not bad or a deal breaker. I'm confident that they will make payroll better within the next couple of months.

Recommendations to other buyers: It's been helpful to keep all issues that we encounter in the system in a shared spreadsheet, and go over them in a weekly call with our client manager.

Line up your nagging people tech problems, Namely mows them down. And it's a ride mower ;-)

Comments: Don't let your fear of change deter you from moving to a truly innovative and integrated solution.

Pros: Long list here. Everything in one place. Simple to access. Easy to use. Mobile. Integrated with several other key partners. FABULOUS customer service. Conversion is handled professionally, competently and quickly. Managers are delighted to be able to master the "dark arts" of goals, performance reviews, time off, resources and more. From the CEO out to every person at Namely, there's a vibe of energy, commitment and smarts. How refreshing.

Cons: Short list here. Like any innovative, new solution, there are features we users crave. The Namely product development team are fast and responsive. The product roadmap is shared with us. Oh, this was the cons list. Sorry. Done.

Comments: The support team and onboarding tools are both fantastic. They've recently added a "goals" feature that we are just starting to use, so that is exciting. Overall, it's a great value for the price.

Pros: Great UI, compared to other HRIS products of similar cost. The internal support team is very responsive and helpful. There is a wide range of tools to choose from: onboarding, PTO, performance reviews, benefit portals, payroll, etc. I've found the onboarding feature very helpful, as new hires can start their HRIS profile, as well as read and agree to all new hire paperwork.

Cons: The API leaves some room for improvement, but I believe they are working to improve it. Also, the benefits portal works well, but the "electronic feed" to the insurance company hasn't worked for us. Well, it works, it just doesn't link accurate information. I believe they are working on that as well. The performance review reminders are not found in an intuitive manner, but the program itself is pretty easy to use once you know where to find things.

Pros: -Excellent customer support.

-One stop solution for HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits.

-Very customizable for different use cases.

-Constant and reliable product updates and roadmap.

Cons: -Document storage is not robust

-While the tool is very customizable, it is a slight learning curve to master the smaller details.

Overall: The best parts about using Namely is their excellent support+success team and the constant growth that they are experiencing which results in frequent updates that make my job easier. Having a fully integrated solution has saved me an abundance of time. The ease of integration with the HRIS tool is great for scaling companies that use a variety of products to function but want one-source-of-truth. Reporting capabilities in both HRIS and Payroll are detailed and have gained the stamp of approval from Finance and HR.

Comments: Implementing Namely is the best HR decision our small company has made. We have a small administrative team and I am new to HR. Namely has provided us with a huge opportunity to start out with great employee compliance, structure, and utilization of forward thinking technology.

Pros: It's inclusivity of employee information; it's features save time and help with company compliance. It helps new employees have a platform when working remotely, and helps HR keep up with remote employees. Namely is always adding new features based on client feedback and everyone at Namely is a pleasure to work with.

Cons: The timesheets aren't my favorite, but they get the job done and do offer a few different options. Namely is working on improvements to the things I dislike about them.

Comments: Benefit implementation was extremely rocky. We had to begin our open enrollment 1 month later than expected. The benefit team (Brokers) were great! They were in constant communication with us, and assured us that everything would be taken care of. Well, we ended up losing our projected benefit plan. We then had another plan that was not well off like the one we wanted, but we needed something to give to our employees. This is where the Namely benefits team dropped the ball. Communication slowly dimished and our benefits in Namely never changed from the original to the present. To make matters worse, one of our Brokers from Namely was arrogant, unqualified, and attitude-prone. She made our relationship with Namely a terrible experience. We no longer wanted to rely on the benefits team for the mere fact that we didn't want to deal with her. Here's the best part about Namely's benefit team (sarcasm) - the unpleasant Broker had a subordinate who went into our dental carrier's website and took away one of our employees benefits! Yes, that's right! She deleted the dental benefits without speaking to us beforehand. That is extremely unprofessional. That employee ended up going to his dental provider and was denied for not having dental insurance.

Cons: Had to constantly look at the user guides. The user guides were not detailed enough. Ex. roles and permissions - too complicated.

Recommendations to other buyers: Look elsewhere. They look good and are on the cutting edge of technology, but lack the fundamentals to be a great system.

Pros: The central news feed is a great, social tool, especially useful for keeping everyone up-to-date. Some of the functions are fantastic - the onboarding, the performance tool, the time off function, and its very easy to customise some of the profile fields to your own requirements. Also, it will be great when the new reporting tool is rolled out, and you can do point in time reporting.

Cons: There are limitations in terms of some of the functions for non-US employees. For example, we can't track UK or Canadian expenses through Namely. Also, some of the recent changes have meant we have had to change our internal processes to fit, rather than having the flexibility to do it the other way round.

Pros: Ease of use is it's #1 asset

Cons: Sometimes simple things weren't contemplated early enough in building out an HRIS system (e.g. 3 different direct deposit accounts (some people like auto debit from payrolls; state tax categories)

Overall: Namely has a great user experience from both the employee standpoint, as well as an admin in the system. You can capture as much data as you want and build custom categories which makes data collection robust and easy. The support team is responsive on all matters, despite the time zone differences. Overall a great product and big bang for the buck (with some minor roadmap additions).

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall a very good user experience for both end user as well as HR teams. I use the system to pivot tons of data that helps me make better data-driven decisions related to people matters at our company.

Comments: For instance they took over sending a file for our 401K transfer amount to Voya. The total was suppose to be around 2000 but they instead transferred 17000 into employees 401K accounts. It was a mess to fix and they didn't even seem remorseful. That is just one of MANY issues.

Pros: Honestly Nothing. The look of it I guess is nice but that's about it. They have you take hours of training when you start and its not helpful at all.

Cons: Everything they've tried to "take over" they've screwed up. Not worth the money in my eyes. I don't trust anything they've done and their customer service is not very good either. For instance my 'rep' got married and went out of town for 3 weeks and didn't even tell me or put me in touch with someone to help with any issues. I've worked with a lot of HRIS systems (I am an HR consultant) and Namely just doesn't make sense. Its extremely confusing.

Pros: Great customer service, awesome "Backstage Pass" features educating about all areas of HR, and an always-improving platform are some of Namely's strengths. When I reach out to my customer success representative, I usually get a response within a few hours. She's even helped with things that are out of her realm. Namely is always asking for feedback on how to improve the product, and in my short time working with this system, I've seen several of those requested features implemented. Namely also has some of the best training resources available.

Cons: It's still fairly new, so some features are still being worked on. There are so many reports available that it's a bit difficult to know what each report contains and which would serve your purpose best.

Pros: It's really easy and intuitive to use, it has great features, and I use it all the time. It's much, much less cumbersome than most of the cloud-based software of a similar nature that I've used at other companies. I really have hardly any complaints about Namely; I just wish the other software I used at work was this nice.

Cons: I don't like that I have to go to organization.namely.com instead of going to Namely and just logging in. I'm not sure why this bothers me but I find it frustrating that I often forget and go to namely.com, and then land on a page that's trying to sell the platform to HR professionals.

Some elements feel like a blatant ripoff of Facebook, but hey, it makes it easy to use.

Overall: It makes it very easy to find my paystubs and benefit information. It also has a nice newsfeed where people can post company updates. Also, if I can't remember someone's name, I can go find their picture on Namely and it has information like their name, the department they work in, and how long they've been with the company.

Pros: I love that benefit elections are synced to payroll. Before Namely, this was a huge manual effort to maintain and audit. Namely is engaging and simple for employees to use - I get frequent positive feedback on that, across our staff demographics. People also really like the activity feed to give appreciative shout-outs to coworkers. As an admin, Namely's flexible permissions are a huge plus - this is something I've missed with other cloud software my company uses.

Cons: The Time Off functionality is a bit simplistic. I'd also like to see more configurable, custom notifications.

Comments: I am the HR Generalist at my company and have been working with Namely for a little over a year now. While I'm not able to speak to the implementation process, I can give some feedback on the day-to-day use of the system. In the past year, I have seen Namely make tremendous product improvements. The system absolutely has it's nuances, but their customer support team is incredibly receptive and responsive to the needs of their clients. They really listen to feedback which is reflected in the product enhancements they continue to make.

The HRIS side of the product has great flexibility and is very user friendly. It has been an invaluable tool in keeping our multiple office locations connected. Employees are able to post pictures and announcements which encourages a lot of engagement. We have been able to customize according to our needs which has been so helpful in managing the information we need to capture. We also use the performance management system for our performance review process and while I can't speak to the administration of this process since I do not currently oversee it, our employees have found this process to be seamless. The payroll side of the product has a ton of reporting that is straight forward and easy to read. Payroll and benefits are administered without difficulty- our open enrollment was much more manageable with the use of their benefits portal.

As startup, we are always evolving. Thankfully, Namely's team has been there to cater to our changing needs. I would say that their customer support is their greatest asset. I don't know what I would do without our consultant and the vast amount of resources Namely provides clients!

Pros: I can't even articulate it because there isn't anything. We're stuck with it right now. Really and truly.

Cons: Their team of 'dedicated reps' is a joke. You need to call them to get any real support. Emailing them never seems to produce a solution to your problem. The person they assign you to act as your advocate/customer success person has changed three times and this new one made all kinds of promises about how available he'd be. Literally every week he cancels our standing meeting. LITERALLY.

The software has zero automation and much of your calculations, changes, etc. are manual.

Pros: I work almost exclusively on the payroll sides of Namely, and I've found it to be user friendly and super intuitive. The easily accessible training videos are fantastic and great when you find yourself asking, "How do I do that again?" My favorite part is the easy navigation!

Cons: I can't say that I actively dislike anything. I think because I'm still learning the software there are going to sections that I don't know how to work as efficiently. IE: I'm hoping there's a way to link our 401k directly in, so that when users make individual changes through the fidelity portal it automatically update (like other benefits sections do). Not sure if that's possible?

Overall: Peace of mind. Ease/Accessibility. Confidence in the accuracy of our payroll.

Pros: Namely HRIS is a fantastic program, layout, very easy to use. The integration process was great and our implementation manager for Namely HRIS was fantastic.

Cons: Namely time is very basic and hard to use. The scheduling feature is very basic and time consuming. In addition, the integration between the Namely systems don't exist at all. Simple information needs to be entered into both systems and the integration capabilities are very basic. Switching to this system was supposed to cut down on every day HR/admin work, however, now she just spends her time making the programs match. Basic integrations like making an employee inactive doesn't even exist, you have to do it first in Namely HRIS then go to Namely Time and do it again. For employee hours to feed back into Namely HRIS, you have to pull a report out of Namely Time and import it back into Namely HRIS. I was promised seamless integration by our sales rep and I feel very mislead. The Namely HRIS application is completely different from the Namely Time application and it's different sign-ons.

Pros: Namely, newsfeed has really had positive feedback from our employees. Love that we can have documents and HR information all in one place - the employee's profile.

Cons: The payroll side of things is not as easy to use as the HR side. They don't "talk" to each other as they should -- information doesn't roll over from HR to Payroll automatically - there are times when manual adjustments need to be made.

Overall: We implemented Namely HR and Payroll in September 2016. They have great customer support, account managers, and implementation teams. Very helpful and stay on top of to-do lists with weekly updates. The HR side and newsfeed have been a hit for our employees. They LOVE it. It is a great avenue for us to provide our remote locations insight on what our company is doing and a one-stop shop for employee information. The payroll side of things, however, isn't as user-friendly. We have a somewhat complicated payroll, due to the size of our company and multiple divisions, that we have come across some areas of improvement. We continue to work with Namely for system improvements that will maximize our efficiency and accuracy with payroll and benefits process, specifically integrations for time clocks and Cobra providers.

Pros: Their customer support is second to none, and one of their greatest assets. We love our account manager and the support he provides us daily. Our employees old and new are excited to use this software, they love the fact that is it an all in one solution with one login and that the interface is modern and not antiquated like some of the other HRIS solutions out there. We have been able to customize this software to our need and add different parts of the platform gradually as we grow.

Cons: We had to make a few tax adjustments when we implemented our payroll with Namely, our state has some intricate nuances with state tax. It seems like they are growing their tax department and they work to help with these issues.

Recommendations to other buyers: Namely is more than worth taking a look at, there is so many benefits to this software and their support team becomes part of your team. They want to see success in their partners and they are always looking for feedback in their product.

Pros: Our company has offices in Canada and the US, and we use Namely as our HR system: onboarding, performance reviews, time-off requests, employee data tracking, and payroll (for the US only). It is great to have a single system for all of these functions. I am most involved in the payroll side, and Namely makes the actual payroll processing easy. They have good reports, as well. Their customer support has been responsive to our needs over the years.

Cons: The performance review data entry doesn't allow formatting (bold, bullets, etc.), and the output report has weird spacing that doesn't look good on paper and wastes paper.

Overall: Overall, very pleased with Namely's services and support.

Pros: Client Support Specialist, they don't disappear after implementation. In fact, I connect very regularly with our specialist and we've developed a great relationship.

Comments: As is typical in a small tech startup, I wear many hats. My full time job is as Sales Operations Manager, but I took HR over when our HR Director left. Namely has been an invaluable tool that has allowed us to effectively manage our HR department with half a resource. It's great to have all of the information housed in the same portal and the customer support team has been fantastic.

Pros: -Great to have all information/documents housed in the same portal -Outstanding Customer Service -Processing Payroll is quick and easy -Onboarding portal makes it simple to onboard new employees

Cons: -can be confusing deciphering between the two portals (Namely and Payroll), to determine where information is housed and must be changed.

Recommendations to other buyers: -Make sure you determine what your level of support is before making a decision. Small companies just starting may want to consider a PEO which offers FULL support and guidance to companies who don't have any experience in HR, but aren't big enough to hire someone full time. On the other hand, Namely is great if you have a basic understanding of HR processes, and the laws that govern HR/Payroll (ie I-9 documentation); since they don't provide that level of support.

Pros: Two aspects really stand out. First, the configurable permissions. I can set multiple levels of access to create distinct employee, manager, and administrator profiles. I feel very comfortable importing information and knowing only those with authorization will see it. Second, Namely really encourages our employee engagement. The social media feel makes it easy for our team to connect. We currently have offices in four countries, and our teams all like feeling connected on this platform.

Cons: Some people may be put off by the fact that Namely is a new company, but they solve that by being in an open dialog with all of their clients. I consistently send ideas, ask questions, and dig into the thinking about how we can use the product. The Namely team is responsive and thoughtful; they streamline the product in response to their customers' needs and by proactively designing and developing smart software.

Recommendations to other buyers: We went to market looking for things that fit specific cultural needs. Identify the 2-3 real pain points in your process and ensure that any software you bring on does those well rather than looking for a product with all the bells and whistles. We have been extremely happy with Namely because they handle our core needs and scale to meet others.

Pros: What I like most is that Namely allows users to access their payroll and HR information easily. Users can update their own bank accounts if they have direct deposit.

Cons: What I like least about Namely is there are a lot of limitations. Every time we ask about some features, the answer is usually that it's not available. There can't be more than one person processing payroll at the same time. The payroll and HR systems are not talking to each other even though they're both Namely. It's very disappointing.

Overall: Performance review, employee management on the HR side, and payroll functions on the payroll side.

Pros: The integration between payroll and HR.

Cons: It is still a young software and sometimes not as robust as it could be. But it's constantly being improved, so this isn't a huge problem.

Overall: The best thing about Namely is the integration between HR, Benefits and Payroll. I love how you can make a benefits change on an employee profile and the change feeds directly to the payroll profiles as well as to the insurance company to apply the changes there, eliminating mulitple entry of the same data.

Recommendations to other buyers: It comes with excellent support staff! :)

Pros: easy to use, complete, track reviews. Customizable enough to use for yearly reviews. Kinda cute that you can send "praise" and messages to your co-workers.

Pros: Namely has been a huge help with our startup, particularly in streamlining all processes in one place. Having a dedicated Accounts Manager and Benefits Manager provides resources that assist across the spectrum. Accessibility and support are a outstanding.

Comments: I have been doing payroll for over 25 years. This may be a good Human Resources software, I would not know, but the payroll software and staff is by far the worst I have ever used. Our company was set-up for payroll taxes in states where we had no operation. We told Namely that we did not have nexus in the state. Yet employees had deductions taken out and funds were erroneously submitted to the state. From all of the states that were messed up, it will take at least 18 months to fix our state taxation from only using Namely for 9 months. There are many other more cost effective and competent payroll services available. I strongly recommend using them.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't believe the marketing.

Pros: The system is very easy to use and the employees enjoy engaging with their peers. As a global organization, this aspect was very important to us.

Cons: As a newer system, there are integrations that you find with other products that Namely is still working on (i.e. auto updates between HR and payroll). Also, there is no ATS incorporated in the product.

Overall: We transitioned to Namely due to the ease of use of the system and the engagement aspect of the system. We are lucky to say....the system has not let us down. The employees really enjoying engaging with each other and posting congratulatory messages. One of the best compliments we received was during open enrollment for benefits when an employee stated it was the easiest they have ever been through at any company! There is still some work to be done in the functionality, such as a truly integrated system between HR and payroll; however, Namely is transparent about this and it is included in their roadmap which is available for review. Overall, two thumbs up!

Comments: Namely replaced 4 different tools our organization was using and rolled them all into one. This is incredible from not only a value (cost) standpoint, but also from a ease-of-use for HR admins and employees standpoint. This is a product that we see enabling us to grow because of ability to grow with our workforce. The icing on the cake? Namely treats us like we're their only customer. Customer support is quick, proactive, and responsive.

Pros: Namely has found a way to integrate a number of key resources for employees into a format that is great for a small-and-growing company. While large enterprise software offers all the bells and whistles, that's not what every company needs. Namely's high-touch client success team is also a huge asset, especially when handling payroll.

Cons: The only thing I could say as a con or a dislike is that they haven't built an ATS and a learning portal! I know, I know they're just getting started. Seriously hard to find anything that I dislike about this great software.

Comments: Namely is great all in one HRIS tool that has really benefited our team with it's time off features, performance management tool, benefit wizard and reporting of employee data. It's very convenient and our account manager has been a great resource for us! With any implementation there are hiccups but Namely was able to help us with any issues along the way and we successfully rolled out on time.

Pros: Great benefit wizard that has direct carrier feeds to all of our health care providers. This has really saved us a lot of time and paperwork! Namely was able to roll out our implementation quickly and just in time for open enrollment. Not only has their benefit wizard been a great tool for us, their performance management tool has been very beneficial with their annual, 360 and peer review functions.

Cons: Only an on-boarding e-signature function and restricted company calendar functions. Some functions within Namely take a little "learn by doing" but overall has been a great tool!

Pros: This system is easy to use for managing employees. In my opinion it has a clean interface, organized and constantly updated with new functions. In addition to having the ability to automate and delegate tasks. Multidisciplinary software for the management of human resources.

Cons: The least I like about Namely is that it still has many limitations. It still has many features that are not available yet. And you can not divide the task of processing the payroll, since it can not be edited at the same time. Payroll and human resources systems do not talk to each other even though both are viz. Although it presents many good tasks, it is sometimes a bit disappointing, not having what is completely expected.

Overall: It is a good option for use in human resources in the company but it lacks some features to allow the user a complete satisfaction.

Pros: We used a few other HR systems in the past (one we even built ourselves... that was a mistake). Namely is essentially our employee's central hub for all things related to HR. All organized, easy to navigate, and functional.

Switching to Namely has allowed our HR managers to switch to focusing more attention on new hires rather than spending all their time supporting the team.

I don't even think I have spoke to HR since we adopted Namely, it's great!

Cons: Getting all your documentation set up in Namely can be very time consuming. I don't think it's more time consuming than alternatives, but expect that "setting up Namely" will be a full time job for a couple months.

But, such is the nature of working HR. :)

Comments: We implemented Namely at SnapRetail in January of this year and never looked back. We were coming from an outdated payroll platform and a myriad of manual processes surrounding employee HR data, benefits, PTO tracking, etc etc. From day one, we saw a huge ROI in the automation of PTO and payroll. The second stage was benefits administration which we are finalizing for our open enrollment process happening within the next 30 days. Overall, Namely has far exceeded our expectations, both from an HR perspective (ie our back office staff) and our employees.

Pros: The biggest pro to Namely for us is the automation of onboarding/terminations/employee changes that flow directly to payroll. This removes so many manual steps which helps to minimize errors.

Cons: Namely still has some items to automate through their onboarding processes (allowing new hires to complete tax forms and direct deposit information online) but aside from there, we haven't run into any negative aspects of the product.

Pros: The customer service is impeccable! our representative will always call when she says she will- she has called us while on a train before when we had an issue with payroll. everyone on the Namely team is so dedicated to making Namely the best.

Cons: I wish there were more features for the calendar. i have made this suggestion and they told me they would take it into consideration when making updates and implementing more features. since Namely is so culture based- i believe this will happen. and on privacy settings- its confusing for me to know how to edit it and what the results will be. but our rep always is willing to help!

Pros: There are a number of different functions that can be consolidated in this program. My company used to have separate systems to handle time off, payment, notification, company information, etc, and now we just have to go to Namely. Consolidating all needed information in one place is a big plus. We have found somethings that could be modified to fit better our type of business, and they have accommodated our requests to make it a more user friendly experience.

Cons: The only thing I would change would be more authority given to the user to make modifications. Many things have to go through the rep or through tech support to be implemented, instead of granting that capability to the company's main administrator. I imagine that it is related to the site security, in which case I prefer to have secured information, that easy access.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would say that they should try it. Get used to it, as any new system it takes time to know all that it can do and how to do it. Chances are they are going to like the functionality Namely offers growing businesses.

Pros: All in one Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Time Tracking, Performance Management, Intranet. It keeps all of your data in one and the Reporting functionality is better than Zenefits.

Cons: Not user intuitive, not a sexy UI and you have to navigate through many clicks to get through to something that should be more simplified. The implementation was pretty smooth, but you really rely on your account manager on navigating and customizing.

We're loving it!

Comments: We began our search for an HRIS in May of 2015 and ended up going with Namely in Sept 2015. We are loving our decision and have since expanded our product options from just the HRIS to include payroll, benefits administration and performance management. This is HUGE for us as our internal team had been looking for a software that our external accountants also loved and would be willing to move payroll & benefits to. One of the biggest reasons we first purchased namely was to revamp our on-boarding process. The same time last year we had maybe 30 employees. We were subleasing a small office space and everything was done manually with paper or google docs. That was fine for 30 employees, but when we tripled in size it became extremely tedious and unprofessional seeming. Tasks and new hires would get lost in all the emails and spreadsheet and it was just unmanageable. Insert Namely. Lifesaver! We have no automated the entire on boarding process and there are no long back and forth emails, tasks getting forgotten about or paperwork going missing. We love it!

Pros: - Create an auto updating company directory & org chart! - Allow new hires to easily on-board without manual paperwork hassles - Keep tasks lists and assign tasks for each product in one place - Automatically integrate to payroll - Seamlessly enroll in benefits

Cons: - No e-sign (yet, coming soon!) - Cannot make performance reviews annual

I'm still on the fence with Namely, but it has been easy to use and learn

Pros: Navigation: The navigation menu is stunningly simple, which is a breath of fresh air compared to other services like Zenefits. All navigation options are listed in a nice column on the left hand side; no confusion.

Service Offerings: What has been really nice with Namely so far is that we no longer need to use a separate HR service or a separate paystub tracking service. We have effectively ceased using ADP and Zenefits in favor of Namely. I'm all for software simplification and Namely does just that.

Cons: UI/UX: If I'm being honest, I'm not sure I like the UI/UX. It looks like a re-skinned and scaled back version of LinkedIn. I also highly dislike the twitter-style news feed as soon as you login. I don't need or want more channels of internal communication.

Not much going on: Namely simply has little going on. If I dont need to request PTO, see the holiday calendar, or review my paystub, I have zero reason to login and use Namely. Perhaps it is just better that way, but Namely does little to encourage me to login and actually use the service. It feels more like a checkbox service where we have and use it to check a checkbox for company needs.

Sensitive Info: The Namely administrator can make certain sensitive information available for all to see, such as birthdays, personal phone number, or personal address. Day 1 of using Namely we had a lot of this information available for everyone to see, but it has since been restricted.

Simple enough and gets the job done.

Comments: We use Namely predominately as a way of clocking in and out for work days, as well as for scheduling and and submitting annual performance reviews. It's simple enough, and allows our Payroll managers to make amendments as needed with little effot.

Pros: Simple, easy to use.

Cons: Can't think of any major criticisms for what we use it for.

Pros: -Customer Service is superb -All in one system, it has everything you need in one spot -Easy to use benefits wizard -The Performance management tool offers 360, annual and any other review you would like to conduct with ease

Cons: Namely, like any start up still some improvements on their product. For example more fields to have an automatic sync with integrations and a few other bugs we have run into. With that, they have always backed up any issue with their customer service and have been able to troubleshoot any problems that have surfaced.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend you verify that all fields you need to transfer over to namely from another tool will do so during implementation. There are many functions within the tool, take the time to truly learn it all, by doing this, navigating within the system will be easier for you and will give you the opportunity to assist your company.

Pros: It's crazy how an app that's so simple can become so cumbersome! All the fun features like giving awards/compliments become moot because people avoid using it, it doesn't make reviews helpful at all, most people see 360 reviews as a chore and this app doesn't make it any better.

Cons: I think some tome of reward system, fun reminders, and other ways to boost engagement could benefit this application. Performance reviews are hardly fun, so you need to curb behavior by making it less painful, not just add on to the same pains of having to fill essays upon essays saying barely anything useful about your coworkers.

Pros: The integration with many programs that we use is spectacular. We are able to integrate google docs and many other programs such as Right Signature for our onboarding process. We are able to keep up with all New Hire documents and have everything in one platform. You are able to see all work anniversaries, birthdays, important events and many other items. We are able to house all of our company information and introductions for New Hires in this program.

Cons: The software takes a little bit of time to learn how to navigate all of the different options and screens. You will become familiar once you use the program for a little while but it can become confusing for the first few times you use it.

Pros: It makes it very easy to enter data and to keep track of everyone. I did not upload staff pictures. It is VERY helpful to have a graphing feature that allows me to visualize data over time.

Cons: It took longer to enter the information than I thought. I went back to normal pen and paper because of this. Although this is a great product and a great idea, because I am a slow typer it just took too long to enter data. I also found field customization more difficult than it should be. Mayber I should have had my office manager deal with it!

Overall: Even though I decided not to use the software long term, for those who are quick typers or those who have dedicated people to handle their HR it would be an idea solution for staff management.

Pros: - Great value - Interface is user-friendly - Namely dedicated account managers - Namely's drive to constantly improve to fit their customers needs - Real-time updates

Cons: - Learning courses information is very basic and is not helpful in troubleshooting - HRIS and Payroll are currently not synced - Unable to make manual changes to Calendar (calendar only shows PTO request, Birthdays and Work Anniversaries) - Reporting in HRIS and Payroll are different

Recommendations to other buyers: - If coming off of a PEO such as Trinet, please prepare yourself an extra 1-2 months to build your HRIS/Payroll/Benefits data - Try not to switch during benefit carriers busy time (November - December) as this may affect your start date new benefit carriers if there are delays - Be open to Namely's ongoing drive to improve Namely's platform

Comments: We only used Namely for HRIS, not payroll or benefits, so perhaps my experience would have been different if everything was all tied together. In the end though, because they didn't give you a dedicated HR business partner, and the insurance rates weren't great, we switched to ADP Total Source (a PEO). My experience with Namely was ok.

Pros: The interface looks nice. The fields are customizable, although often you must get your service person to create them for your.

Cons: The customizable fields often require someone on the inside to implement for you.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would read more about those who experienced Namely with their benefits and payroll included. Ideally, the system would integrate all things together and make it super easy for employees to login, make the necessary elections or changes etc.

Pros: I love that Namely is extremely user friendly and has an awesome customer support team. Namely makes it easy for me to store all sensitive employee information as well as employee bios, PTO requests, calendars all in one database. I also like that i'm able to limit visibility on certain documents ensuring that other employees are not able to view the private information that is stores but can still view each others bios that each employee sets up this includes position, team, who they report to and other interesting position related facts.

Cons: At this time there is nothing i really dislike about the product. It is easy and simple to use and all of our employees love it. Maybe one suggestion I could make it to have an employee chat section where employees can create chat groups or chat directly to one another.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would suggest to get a trial of Namely, you'll love how clean and her friendly it is that i'm sure you'll bring it to your company. In addition if you have any questions do not hesitate to message their customer service team, they are awesome and respond very quickly.

Pros: User-friendly system for employees to update photos, personal information, share shout-outs, and view the org chart. App is powerful enough to handle promotion cycles, and complex reporting correlating pay to to seniority/gender/age/race. Overall UI is solid and easy to setup. Reporting system is mostly intuitive.

Cons: Still not as many out-of-the-box integrations to other products (netsuite) as I'd like. Creating reports is slow as finding the field you want is a painful process.

Recommendations to other buyers: A strong player in the HRIS space for its price point. A good choice for growing (100+ employees) companies as it is clearly functionally superior to cheaper, more basic solutions like TribeHR, but still not as costly as an enterprise-grade HRIS like Taleo/Workday.
